Opinion: Amama Mbabazi has returned

Was my name proposed by President Museveni? I don’t know. What I know is that each of the Presidents of the member states, including President Museveni, have confidence in me”Amama Mbabazi (16.02.2022)

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) member and former Go-Forward/The Democratic Alliance Presidential Candidate Amama Mbabazi is now in good favours with the State House and the President after the fallout in 2014, which lead too years in the desert and now he has returned to the fold.

His CV is extensive, as described on the World Economic Forum page: “1975, degree in Law, Makerere University; PGD in Legal Practice. 1986-1992, Chairman of the Permanent Tripartite Commission of East African Cooperation and Director-General, External Security Organization; 1997-2001, Minister of State in President’s Office; then Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; 1999-2000, Chairman Political Committee for countries involved in Congo conflict; 2004-06, Attorney-General; 2006, Minister of Defence; 2009-11, Minister for Security. Since May 2011, Prime Minister of Uganda; leads government business in Parliament. Secretary-General, National Resistance Movement, the ruling Party” (World Economic Forum – People – Amama Mbabazi).

This man has done a lot before he went into “opposition” as a presidential candidate and we know he has returned to go graces. The man has become the Special Envoy to South Sudan and Ethiopia. While today it’s official that his the Chairman of the Continental Think-Tank “Global Africa Security Foundation”, which is created by President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni and President Denis Sassou-Nguesso after the Oyo Mini-Summit earlier this month. The headquarters will be in Dakar, Senegal. Which means the chairman has to extensive travel in his operative state between Kampala, Dakar, Juba and Addis Ababa.

If this isn’t the return of Mbabazi nothing is. This shows that Museveni trust him and offers him plum-jobs. At one point he was seen as one of the most corrupt men of East Africa. He was a well known figure and the scandals surrounded him. The way of which he operated both the NRM party and his position within the cabinet. That was just his style and fashion, as a trusted man of the party and of the President. This is why he could get away with it and he defended it too.

Mbabazi was such a vocal representative of the state, as he has defended the NRM in many instances as well. This is why the President seems fit to have him back. He knows that Mbabazi will have his back and be supportive. They have known each other all these years and anything else would be strange. Especially, since the “opposition” enterprise didn’t go forward, but was a step backwards for the internal organizer.

It will be striking to see him defend the causes of “No Change” on a continental level, as the new foundation is made in the spirit of being against coup d’etat’s and putsch. That will be a travel for a man who has followed the NRM from early stages and been a permanent member of the party. So, to see this happening only makes sense.

As he is now regarded as the trustees of the legacy of Museveni. His one of the men who has been by his side and delivered what he has needed. Other than using his standing and causing a stir, which seems like ages ago. He has now gotten into good graces and that is evident. If he wasn’t he wouldn’t be a Special Envoy and be Chairman of the newly minted foundation.

That’s why you know he will carry the wishes of the President and be his token soldier defending his causes there. Peace.

Opinion: Nobody got burned like Mbabazi [and that’s why nobody aims at the King from within]

Today the former speaker of the Parliament and now Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Kadaga came out with a statement denouncing any sort of ambition or want to stand as Presidential Flag-bearer in the National Resistance Movement (NRM). This after what she calls “fictitious reports” on social media about a possible candidacy for Presidency in 2026.

We know it was bad enough that she didn’t follow party-line and stood as a candidate for Speakership the third time in a row, because the NRM CEC did support her bid in the 11th Parliament. Alas, she has already rebelled once and gotten off the hook. While getting a plum-job after losing her prestigious role to Jacob Oulanyah.

What we are seeing here is that Kadaga have learned from history. That is there is no value in blind ambition or even aiming at the throne. You will just get your wings clipped and become quickly a “stalwart” of the party. Nearly a useless historical without any office or paid leave. The party and the state will just throw out and forget all the time you spent making a career within. Unless, you humble yourself and degrade yourself, in such a manner, of which the King gets his praise and his honour.

If you do that, you can get back into good grace. Hold talks and even get considered by the state for positions. This being Gilbert Bukenya who has gotten a role within the party or Mbabazi who has held secret talks with His Excellency.

Amama Mbabazi is the one that went all flying high, as the Prime Minister and Secretary General of the party. He aimed from within and tried to cause an up-evil. Mbabazi sought for the throne and the title. While seeking to do it from within. He thought for some reason that he could conquer and takeover from his master. However, that never happened and the independent candidacy on a NRM ticket became a thing. As his pressure group “Go-Forward” was able to oversee and become the flag-bearer of a joint-opposition coalition with The Democratic Alliance (TDA/Go-Forward) in the 2016 General Election. Nevertheless, the results was bogus and hopeless, he didn’t stand a chance and was humiliated on a grand scale. While the other opposition was rigged out of the title and the whole game. Therefore, the game-plan of Mbabazi was flawed from the outset and he should have known this.

Mbabazi showed the world that the NRM is only for Museveni and his clientele. The Supreme Leader and Majesty is the one and only. Nobody can challenge or even consider replacing him. That is treason and defaults you from ever having any sort of serious role or honourable title. You will be humbled and put in place. That’s the NRM Way and Mbabazi should have known better, but clearly he didn’t.

Alas, that’s why we are here in 2021. As nobody wants to go through life like Mbabazi did in 2015 and 2016. Wait for years and be secluded like a virus and be under self-imposed lockdown in your own compound. Just because you challenged His Excellency. Nobody with a sound mind will do this, unless they are faking it and trying to act like opposition. Nevertheless, Mbabazi has shown the world something and the genie is out of the bottle.

Kadaga wouldn’t have a half chance and would be an afterthought. She would be the “afternoon delight” and become a skit before half-time. That’s why the Second Round K.O. would be brutal and her career wouldn’t be able to resurrect. Unless, Jesus would bless her coffers and the Catholic church would atonement her sins. Then she might have a shot and would be able to carry the cross. However, we know the son is the only one who is allowed to have this blind ambition. Peace

The Correct Way: Museveni’s crudeness towards Mbabazi

If you want to lead people for a long time, never eat when they (followers) have not eaten. My experience is that if you eat alone, it is very risky. I managed to destroy Mbabazi in 2016 that way. He went and gave money to some leaders and I got the information. I went and told their followers that these people have gotten money and are eating it alone. That was the end of Mbabazi. Be careful on that line. The correct way is you to be part of your people” Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to NRM Youth Leaders in Kitgum (17.11.2020)

Now that there is stories out that Amama Mbabazi might return back to National Resistance Movement (NRM). As the President is able to retain on the Most Valuable Players (MVP) at the party. He also have to nurture his brilliance and his schemes. This by sowing his manipulation and his utter wisdom.

This here will fall flat within the headlines, as they will focus on the sheer brutality on the opposition. Rightfully so, as the numbers of deceased is rising and the amounts of injured as well. Therefore, this story in hindsight is small, but proves a very important thing.

President Museveni is not only gathering direct intelligence on his opponents. Using that intelligence to get a upper-hand. He does that to crush them. Something he has promised. Ahead of 2016. Amama Mbabazi had the Pressure Group of Go Forward and was the Presidential Candidate in the Opposition Coalition – The Democratic Alliance (TDA). However, that all fall flat and he didn’t create a huge spark.

Still, Mbabazi was seen as wise man and a leader who was capable of organizing and getting things done. That is why Museveni have trusted him countless of times and been a loyal cadre through thick and thin. Until, he jumped ship. Tried to aim for the throne and got kicked out. Therefore, running as an independent.

What we are seeing though. Is interesting as this is what he surely have tried to do elsewhere as well. Surely, he has tried to hook-up and ensure loyalty by feeding some FDC sympathizers and activists. Now, his surely trying to inflict damage and hurt the campaign of Bobi Wine. Just like he has taken away Ashburg Katto, Jenifer Full Figure and others who was associated with People Power. Sure that was in the same way he did with Go Forward. However, it didn’t work out with Bobi Wine. It didn’t cause so much harm. Since the idea and the organization was more vital, than the Presidency maybe has anticipated.

The way Museveni speaks of Mbabazi shows that he believes he can pay everyone off. That he can pay the ones he need and they will loose. This is the long-con. That he can pay-off individuals and destroy campaigns and parties. The President can infiltrate and create a self-destruction from within, because of the common greed. That is why he wants to ensure everyone eats.

This is very telling. A very simple story. Not a beautiful one. Neither, a proof of good leadership. But a self help book to cronies and patronage. This is not proper guidance of a leader. It proves his conning ways. This here is a lesson on how he uses people and tricks their followers to change their ways. Peace.

Hunting Season: Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde arrested [and probably charged with treason]

It’s a war goin’ on but ain’t nothin’ bleedin’

If it ain’t nothin’ comin’ in, then ain’t nothin’ leavin’, yeah

When I think think of all these rappers, it’s huntin’ season”Jadakiss – ‘Hunting Season’

Today, like clockwork there was reports that the now Presidential Aspirant and Independent Candidate Lt. General Henry Tumukunde we’re arrested in his home by the Special Force Command (SFC) and is now taken in by the Chieftain of Military Intelligence at Mbuya barracks. This is the same location his bodyguards was detained, when he first reported to the world that he aspired for the throne.

Also on schedule is the charge of treason. That one is dropped on all individuals who challenge the President and his chair. It is treasonous just to aspire to it or even day-dream about it. That is how it seems in the Republic.

In a Republic where you can share jail-cells with killers and thieves, there will be one brother who are still linger for annoying the President or writing a horrific Facebook post. Tumukunde knows this deal, his the former Minister of Security, his worked with the Internal Security Organization and been a chief-in-charge of torture, arbitrary arrests and so-on. He knows the drill and he knew this was coming.

Tumukunde knew this would happen, it was written in the sky. He became fair game, when he decided to stand. When he decided to run against Mzee. He knew this. He seen it and now feels it. He will be Court Martial tomorrow and most likely served with some sort treasons charge edition 2020, designated to stifle plans for 2021.

We have been here before, this is not new. Neither is jail, arrests nor possible legal trouble for Tumukunde. His been there before too. Scandals, sackings and saying hello to the law. Has been a vital part of his life.

He has skyrocketed into the Lt. Gen. role, but has surely spoiled his merits along the way. Today, is yet another day of trouble. The man knew this was bound to happen. Not only to his bodyguards, but to himself. His seen the acts towards the opposition and even supported it. His own self. So, he knew and that is known.

He can try to be martyr, but that is not believable at this point. Henry has to really burn. The repercussions has to be severe. Yes, he doesn’t deserve to arrested over nothing and be falsely charged for anything. However, his been a leader over this sort of enterprise and now his own security organizations hits back at its former leader.

So, this is karma and karma is a bitch. It is hunting season and right now Tumukunde is the prey. Peace.

Opinion: Mbabazi Versus Tumukunde – A dab difference on their road to presidential aspirations

In everything I do, I will continue to embody the true objectives and identity of the NRM. But as a founding member, lawyer and patriotic citizen I will not bind myself to illegalities” – Amama Mbabazi, 31st July 2015

There are similarities in some aspects between Amama Mbabazi and Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde, who both aimed at the throne and became Presidential Aspirants. However, there are some significant differences in the approach here. Which makes the one differ from the other. Also, make the latter one less sincere.

Mbabazi Brief Timeline:

Mbabazi was the Prime Minister and Secretary General in the National Resistance Movement. He resigned as Prime Minister in September 2014. However, by June 2015 he wrote in a scatting letter to the President, that he didn’t only intend to run as the Party Chairman, but also the NRM Presidential Flag-Bearer. This coming from the former SG and PM. That really showed some flex. While on the 31st July 2015, President Museveni picked his nomination forms. On the 31st July 2015, Amama Mbabazi said he would go “independent”. However, by September 2015 he was cleared as the Flag-Bearer. By 1st November 2015 President Museveni without any shock was nominated as the NRM Presidential Flag-bearer for the General Election of 2016.

However, with Lt. Gen. Tumukunde he haven’t even tried to play ball with the Party his supposed to be a part of and been representing for ages. His been a high ranking official, both in army and in cabinet. Therefore, Tumukunde knows the party and its constitution, also knows the reach and the possible approaches of these affairs. Therefore, just like the arrest of the bodyguards of Mbabazi, the same was bound to happen to Henry as well; which it did!

The last time Tumukunde held a higher office was in March 2018. The moment on Twitter, when Museveni proclaimed this: “This was President Museveni’s statement on twitter: “In exercise of powers granted to me by the Constitution, I have appointed Gen Elly Tumwine as the Security Minister. I have also appointed Mr Okoth Ochola as the Inspector-General of Police. He will be deputised by Brig Sabiiti Muzeei”” (NBS Television, 04.03.2018). Meaning that Tumukunde was sacked as the Minister of Security. Since, then he has been out of office and without power.

There was reports of him starting this in March 2019 and by later on in middle of July 2019 he was mobilizing youth and supposed to run for the office of Lord Mayor of Kampala. This was spread all over the waves, the NilePost, New Vision and everyone was running stories of it. He was even quoted: “Mark my words, I am the next Kampala lord mayor” (Nilepost, 23.07.2019).

Clearly, his pathway has changed and his motivation has as well. Even if the NRM had already handpicked Museveni as their sole candidate, which wouldn’t surprise anyone at this stage. The President was endorsed for it by early February 2019. By March 2019, there was a resolution where the party had clearly endorsed and ensured in writing that Museveni was the only Flag-Bearer for 2021. Therefore, when Tumukunde started his mobilization and the NRM was already on their way validating its chief.

However, what differs here. Is that Tumukunde was already sacked and didn’t show early on his true intention. Neither, did he like Mbabazi even try internally to challenge Museveni. He never did. No letter, no public outrage. Just a peeing on the public with consultations for a bid for Lord Mayor of Kampala.

It wasn’t until the end of February, when he sent a letter to the Electoral Commission, confessing his true desire. Tumukunde went out on a limp mobilizing for his Mayoral aspirations. However, that wasn’t his true face.

Mbabazi went out with fire, he aimed directly at the king. He didn’t take the public for a fool in that sense. He wasn’t truthful about his independent strike, as a member of NRM during his campaign. However, he was honest enough at least showing finesse in the way he went forward as a man who wanted the throne.

Tumukunde has just fired loose on all canons. Like a fishing expedition and just landed on the independent steak as a Presidential Aspirant. Which is less believable, concerning the way he went out. Sacked, didn’t even consider to question the “Sole Candidate”, because he was a supposed aspirant for Mayor. However, with time he rather wanted to be a big-shot.

Now we are seeing it all. We see the different approaches and it is only two elections in succession. Where to high ranking NRMers are aiming at the throne. Both doing it independently and on their own. However, don’t expect it bear fruits. Mbabazi has just returned back home and anticipate a sweet office later in return.

Tumukunde might think people are fools. If you really aspired for this, why did you something else just a year ago? Peace.

Lt. Gen. Tumukunde: Another NRM big-man aiming at the throne

Today, Lieutenant General Henry Tumukunde has unleashed his will and determination to stand as a Presidential aspirant in the upcoming election of 2021. This is not new that the National Resistance Movement (NRM) have some big-men falling out. However, they have usually gotten back into the fold and gotten new chairs to fill..

Lt. Gen. Tumukunde is a long-term NRA/M, who has served in various of positions and held a high regard in the circles around the President. He has failed, gotten sacked and gotten into trouble. However, always had the ability to return and get in the good graces. In May 2018 with his latest role was being the Minister of Security. Also, we know something is up, when the aide to Tumukunde is releasing the information of him loosing military guards at his house in Kololo. That happened about a week ahead of the letter to the Electoral Commission on the 28th February 2020.

With regards to this, I’m not fooled. There been plenty of decoys in the past too. Even NRA historical of John Nagenda have been critical of the President, but still in good graces in the end. Surely, Tumukunde following a long line of Presidential candidates, who in the end looking for a new avenue for work after the elections. We are even seeing Amama Mbabazi returning to Museveni and getting closer like kin. Surely, Tumukunde wants those perks too.

In 2011, the former Local Government Minister Jaberi Bidandi Ssali was a Presidential Candidate as an opposition candidate. His the father of Bebe Cool, so we know that the NRM loyalties aren’t far from each other. Even as Ssali was known for talking against Museveni for never retiring, still he wasn’t anything the President feared in the polls. He was a former Minister who wouldn’t dare to insult his former master.

In 2015, there was two former high ranking NRM leaders who suddenly stood as Independents. This being Gilbert Bukenya and Amama Mbabazi. Both of these we’re high ranking officials. Bukenya went straight independent and even tried to swing the The Democratic Alliance (TDA) his way. Mbabazi tried to get a position in the Primaries in 2015. However, that is not how the game in the NRM works. That is why Mbabazi was clipped of his wings, both as the Secretary General of the NRM and also of his powerful role as the Prime Minister.

Now, Tumukunde is doing the same, as Ssali, Bukenya and Mbabazi has done. Some says its daring and inspiring. Some says its special for these men to aim at the king. Well, there is no succession and no parts to play internally. So, they got to be loose canons to ever try. However, these gentlemen knows that the President rigs and they will never achieve the goal. It is a battle they are bound to loose.

So, why do it? Is it to get the attention and possible be a part of the NRM NEC or something? Do they want a perky position and get back in the good graces? Is that it all?

Does Tumukunde want the cool headlines, that he visited the President at his farm? Is that all he wants out of life?

We all know, he has no shot to win. There is no winning in this, unless he wants to become the next Beti Kamya or something. If he wants a minor role in a mushrooming cabinet after 2021 elections. To be paid-off handsomely…

Well, this is not a drill, but is a curiosity. It will be bloody, it will be tested and he will be in trouble. However, in the end, he will kiss the ring and go back to his master. That is what they do.

Lt. Gen. will need to eat after 2021. He will return, it is just a matter of time and what he is on the menu. Peace.

Amama Mbabazi: The grass wasn’t greener on the other side…

Now matter how you look at it. There is a reason why Amama Mbabazi arrived was at the Kisozi farm in Gombe yesterday. Sitting side-by-side of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Ever since the resignation letter of September 2014. As Amama prepared to challenge Museveni within the National Resistance Movement (NRM) things has gone south for him.

Not like Amama has gotten into trouble like Besigye. Neither did he say that he had left the NRM. He was still a member as he went on with his Presidential Candidate with his pressure group, Go Forward and aligned himself with the The Democratic Alliance (TDA). So, that he was the supposed second option to Museveni. Even as the popularity and the strength in the opposition was all on Besigye.

Still, with that as he walked in the desert. He went days upon end without water. He felt the threat of the state. His people was tear-gassed, the offices of Go Forward was raided and blocked from operation. The consultation meetings was ambushed and sealed off. Youthful supporters and activists was arrested, all of this before the general election of 2016.

Even with all of that, he still until the final day of campaigning was still saying he was an NRM. That shows his loyalty. Even as he was a supposed candidate on the outside of the party. We know he was planning things before and would easily do it again. Just like he did with the NRM Cadre 2014. Evelyn Anite warned about his activities back in 2015 with that group. Therefore, he has proven before that he can light things up. Especially, if it is something in it for him.

Yoweri would enjoy having the services of Amama. His a good organizer and someone whose able to get a machinery going. Especially, if Amama gets some monetary incentives and get options for kick-backs. Mbabazi will serve like a thieving saint, the man of the heart of Mwenda these days. As long as he skims the top of the glass, there will be enough for everyone to drink. That is what Amama does and surely, at this point. Museveni would like to have his brethren back under his wings.

The little rebellion, the failing enterprise of Go Forward/TDA. The mediocre display of trying to gain an advantage and rise as a star in the NRM. Must surely humiliate Mbabazi, who couldn’t even make sense of the games played. He was a pawn seeking a greener pasture. Even if he was eating as there was no tomorrow as the Prime Minister, as the man who secured tenders, looting in the DRC and beyond. Mbabazi had it.

One of the most corrupt leaders in Uganda in living memory. He had everything, risked it all by challenging Museveni. Someone who haven’t lost* an election since taking power. Its hard to believe that Amama didn’t know, as he helped organizing the NRM for plenty of those. Before he had his “independent” run as an NRM member. If there ever was a pawn in the game, he was the one who was the biggest puppet of them all.

With that in mind, let’s say we don’t know what the deal was about yesterday. But he was smug around the President. He delivered some documents and most likely scheming something. If Amama wasn’t, he wouldn’t be true to himself and his own legacy. Peace.

*rigged elections since 1986

Opinion: There is only one possible Presidential Flag-Bearer within the NRM, right?

Anything is better than lies and deceit!” Leo Tolstoy

Today, the National Resistance Movement and the Secretary General of the Party Justine Kasule Lumumba launched the inner-party plans for the roadmap for the Electoral Map for 2021. This meaning all parts of government, also how the party is supposed to manoeuvrer in this manner. What was special, was the NRM Electoral Commission with Dr. Tanga Odoi wasn’t involved with the launch. In the aftermath, the Softpower News has reported, that he knew nothing.

He is just the dude that is appointed to run the NRM Primary Elections and following the time of NRM SG and Central Bodies of the NRM Party. That is why today is really hectic before starting and know that NRM Primaries will be the mess, they usually are. Since, the NRM Party internal infighting continues and the grudges of old, surface in moments like this.

“On August 21st, the party will unveil and present its Presidential candidate for the 2021 general elections to the National Electoral Commission, ahead of the start of Presidential campaigns in September. #NRMRoadMap” (NRM, 23.01.2019).

We know what this means. Just like in all the previous years. The NRM Chairman, the Commander-in-Chief, His Excellency and the President himself, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is the only one; who has the ability or the capacity within the supposed popular movement to their Presidential Flag-Bearer. Because there are no talent, no one skilled, no one genuine or credible to be Flag-Bearer there.

I would never believe the NRM Central Executive Committee would ever touch this. We knew how it went down when Amama Mbabazi wanted to run. He lost all his positions as he gotten to ambitious and since then haven’t had it going. Dr. Kizza Besigye also had to leave the fold and create his own. Gilbert Bukenya has also given way, but kissed the ring and returned as a loyalist in the fold.

There are no credible runners within the party, as this party is not building up the talents or trying to find someone to succeed the President. He is the only one supposed to get it. He will just show up on the Scheduled Day, prove his stamina, his ability to write fast and show his swagger. Than, he will leave with the certification from the Party. Which is needed to the Electoral Commission. Then, the next part of the campaigns, rallies and the whole shindig is happening again.

Let’s be clear, there are no other candidate, because the NRM doesn’t need or want anyone else. The NRM is Museveni and Museveni is the NRM. There are no NRM without Museveni and there will be no Museveni as we know it when he leaves. The Party will be internally fighting for the breadcrumbs left behind from the reign of the current day Head of State.

If the NRM had been serious about the leadership question. They would haven’t done Mbabazi like they did. Not done Bukenya like they did and so on. Every time someone gets a bit ambitious and aims at the King. The pieces fall together and their wings are clipped so they cannot fly. They become penguinss birds who cannot fly.

The NRM would shock the world, if they would field another one that mister Yoseri, but we know that isn’t the deal. That is lie, that the Constitution of the Party will open for it. Because the Party and the NRM would never ever touch Museveni. They are all there because of him and they are his loyal subjects. Peace.

Mwenda’s recent Illusions of the ‘FDC versus NRM’ doesn’t make sense!

There are certain members of the media atmosphere, that is so deluded and so paid-off by the National Resistance Movement, that their vision is blurred. If someone would believe that this fellow was drinking or even lack of memory, than people would have believed that, since his reasoning is so far fetched and forged together. So, that the elitism and the favorable view is so in the open. That no matter what the Opposition would do. It would be wrong, anyone standing in the way of the NRM. They are vicious people and vindictive to be supporting the cause of toppling the dictatorship. However, that is the vision of Andrew Mwenda, the Independent Magazine owner and writer. The man whose lost his way, today. I will take extract of his two recent rants on the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). I just have to scrutinize them, as they deserve.

First on disintegration of the FDC:

Besigye himself did not start out as a radical extremist. However he adopted this position in order to keep the loyalty of his base. These radical extremists believe in a politics of blackmail, insults, lies and intimidation to get their way. They represent a worse alternative to President Yoweri Museveni’s politics of corruption and patronage. For all his faults, Museveni represents a more enlightened politics than Besigye and his extremists. He is to some degree liberal democratic – to a good extent – he has some tolerance of and respect for free speech and other liberal democratic values. But the radical extremists are fascists” (Mwenda, 2018).

This little extract shows how narrow-minded Mwenda has become, if that is in his own high esteem or his lack of vision. That he has to figure out a way to narrowly escape the perjury of his own mind. What we can see, is that no matter what Museveni does, it will be better than Besigye. Even if Museveni has all powers and made a crappy patronage system, that will be better than the FDC and Besigye ever will be. Even if no one has ever tried or succeeded in doing so. Therefore, just by this mere impasse, his reasoning are falling flat.

Secondly, how can liberal democratic values turn into fascists? Where in his right mind does this work out? It is just like reading political voodoo again. The mismatch of political in a petri-dish and use of tools to create an imaginary Nessie in the midst of Lake Albert. Because that is what Mwenda here does. If your members and supporters of Besigye, your fascists, by his reckoning, which is in itself a disgrace. As the Besigye supporters aren’t violent brown-shirt or ethnic cleansing individuals, even the P10 in diaspora isn’t supporting an armed struggle against the Museveni. So where in the mind of Mwenda makes these ideas. He surely need therapy or more schooling, because this doesn’t make sense.

FDC’s radical extremism:

Here has been the tragedy of the struggle for democracy in Africa. Claims by any group opposed to a dictatorial government to be fighting for democracy are taken on face value. Its internal operations and the behaviour of its leaders and members are rarely questioned. And in many cases these groups have captured power and produced governments that are worse than those they overthrew. The lesson for Uganda is simple but fundamental: denouncing Museveni’s dictatorial tendencies is not enough to make a political movement liberal-democratic. Its modus operandi is more critical. FDC is the best positioned party to capture power from NRM. The radical extremists are its strongest faction in FDC. Hence a capture of power by FDC would be a victory for radical extremism and a danger to democracy in Uganda. Whatever the democratic deficits manifest inside NRM, Museveni individually and his party and government generally are fairly tolerant and liberal-minded. I built my career as a journalist exposing the rot in his government alongside its dictatorial tendencies. Yet throughout this period I frequently visited Museveni at State House and we argued over our differences. He would come to my radio show. He would telephone me to express disagreement over opinions or facts I had written. The same applies to NRM and UPDF leaders. They were regular guests on my radio show and my major sources of information” (Mwenda, 2018).

It is weird again that someone would be danger to democracy, while the other one are keeping a narrow hold of power in the State House. That is why someone whose been into power for 32 years are no problem for democracy, but the ones in opposition will cause havoc. That even without proof of it. This is just peddling lies and deception. That Mwenda says NRM are liberal and tolerant minded, why does everyone has to follow the guidance of Museveni and the ones who doesn’t get demoted.

If the NRM was so liberal and tolerant minded, why the NRM rebels get demoted? Why did the leadership throw out Mbabazi, Bukenya and others because of their ambitions? Mwenda, why doesn’t you mention that? While the FDC has had three Party Presidents by now since its inception since 2005, while the NRM since 1986 has had one in command from the State House. There has been lack of control from others.

So, therefore it is special, that ones ordering the army and police to be able to control power, have trouble with supporters of the opposition. This is just weird, that the NRM are okay with its mistakes, but the FDC will become fascists and extremists, but the armed military government of NRM are fine and dandy. If you don’t see flaws in that reasoning, than your right and Mwenda is off the chains.

We can clearly see the brilliant mind or the wacked head of Mwenda. His own head must be a battlefield, as the lack of reasoning and mental breakdown of the defense of Museveni is in the open. It is just like accepting the dictator and making the opposition criminal hoodlums. Not complaining about the ones ordering the killing, but saying the ones reporting the killings as the ill of society. That is what Mwenda is doing these days.

If you know, you know. Peace.

What is Nabilah Naggayi Sempala problem: Everyone lies, but who is telling the truth then?

The Forum for Democratic Change Woman MP for Kampala Nabilah Naggayi Sempala has spoken out about the state of affairs in general politics. Especially after the FDC Reshuffle within the 10th Parliament, where most of the loyalists to previous Party President Gen. Mugisha Muntu have been outcast and other people have been assigned roles within the shadow government. However, this has not gone without questions or even discussions. As the decisions to do so, has been done by the FDC Party President Patrick Oboi Amuriat. Which is a total normal procedure and has been done by the FDC for ages now. Therefore, the silent force and not so viable MP, Nabilah shows up to scene.

She is not the cleanest MP within the FDC, even during campaigns before the General Election in 2016. She campaigned both with Amama Mbabazi and Kizza Besigye. Seemingly, whenever the big-man was in town, she had to have support of both. Which is in itself weird and also disloyal. No-one should forget that. Maybe, that is why she is concerned about the state of affairs.

The current state of our nation political health is majorly caused by the willingness of most people to listen to lies especially those who are passionate about party politics and will be quick to rationalize or diminish the seriousness of lies told by a member of the political party they support, but will be merciless toward any member of the opposing political party caught telling a lie of any kind. I strongly believe that all of the problems facing Uganda can be traced to people’s collective choice to embrace Lies. But even though they will claim not to like lying, they continue to tolerate the people and institutions that do the lying so long as none of the specific lies they tell happens to greatly disadvantage or displease them personally; But in the confines of their homes and amongst close friends or family; they embarrassingly admit that the Leader of FDC has lied on several occasions or that President Museveni has not been exactly truthful to Ugandans! Over to you, Ugandans! When will “LYING” be faced and confronted straight in the FACE? Whatever is eating up FDC is the same eating up NRM! Dishonesty!” (Nabilah Naggayi Sempala, 10.08.2018).

If there is someone who is electioneering or trying to finesse herself in Uganda. Nabilah is one of them. Especially if there is coins or loyalty points to get out of it. This is happening now, she is trying to forge a better pattern and make herself viable. Not that she had done that when it came to Age Limit or possible Land Amendments. You wouldn’t hear her speak or utter a word, but when its mere political splits or political infighting. She shows up like hunger strikes. Nabilah have to get that bread and this is how she gets her butter.

Nabila N. Sempala has done this and will continue to pursuit this way. Because her messaging is lack-luster and needs a political sponsor to get pass anything. Her character is coning and will look for someone to carry her. That she blames both FDC and Museveni of lying is to cover all bases. Both her FDC base, but also show wits. What falls flat, is the lack of implying, who is lying and what lie?

Is it that the FDC are trying to forge fresh MPs within the Parliament and foster their talents? Is that the FDC branch of Muntu is being faced out? The NRM lies constantly, that is their bread and butter, the one you are also trying to score point on. What is drive there? Museveni lies all the time and false promises is his livelihood. So what is your point there?

Nabilah is electioneering and trying to finesse herself again. Nsereko bangs for bucks, Nabilah gives loyalty for bucks. Let see where the buck stops for her, maybe she will change party to before next election. She was part of Mbabazi before going back to Besigye in 2015. Let see if she pulls of the same sort of stunt in 2020 before the 2021. Peace.
