Dr. Kizza Besigye’s advice for termination of the NRM!

If you ever want the clear advice to bring down the dictatorship of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who now acts and lives like he owns the Republic Uganda. Than if you want to get rid of that and want to use the advice of Forum for Democratic Change founder and former Presidential Candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye. Than his words and inspirational words should be for you. He explains the whole story and the whole theft of the state and how it was built around the President. How Museveni has taken all the institutions and the state is embedded with him. But that we already knows, therefore I have taken the part that people should listen to and use. The true defiance and defy the Museveni state, so that there are possible a peaceful transition from his rule. Where the state doesn’t belong to Museveni or the Movement, but to the people. The Citizens has a government who cares about delivery and not if Museveni get an expensive enough airplane or helicopter. Take a look!

“Regardless of what the regime does, the people of Uganda are definitely closing in to take back their power and embark on a TRANSITION to a new dispensation.

The NRM/Museveni Junta has no legitimacy to amend the Uganda Constitution as it’s planning to do. This will be an activity of the TRANSTION PROCESS.

Immediate task: Termination of the NRM/Museveni Junta:

The following needs to be done to terminate the Junta’s control of our country:

1) Intensify the “awakening campaign”, for most Ugandans to become active in the processes of achieving a transition. Everyone has a role to play in achieving this.

2) Forming activist networks to make it possible to act together and to be coordinated.

3)Everyone seeking a democratic transition should take deliberate actions, individually or in concert with others to disempower and break down the Junta. Each one’s actions, however small, contribute significantly towards the desired change.

4) Public servants, including those in the security and military are called upon to join the struggle for democratic transition.

5) In coordination with other political and civil society formations, we’ll soon start various activities that will disempower and bring the, now fragile, Junta to an end.

The transition:

A transition process will start when the Junta ceases the control of the state- either, through popular actions or a dialogue process.

The key activities of the transition period are:

1) Government of National Unity.

2) A comprehensive review of the Constitution.

3) Rebuilding State institutions to ensure transparency in recruitment and a national character, a high standard of performance and public accountability; non-partisan character; high standard of discipline and professionalism etc.

4) Truth telling, justice and reconciliation.

The acts of defiance and trying to coordinate the powers to be. Make the state dissolution over the citizens who doesn’t act upon the oppressive measures dropped by the central government. That they does what they can locally to make changes to the state. This done in demonstrations and stop using the state based operations that makes the NRM regime so rich and can rig themselves into power. That they follow a leadership similar to Besigye and other who trying to dismantle the Presidency. For the simplest reason of getting democracy and getting rid of the dictatorship of Museveni. These words of Besigye should be seen as the guidelines for the patriots and the ones who wants the Republic run by elected men, and not selected men by the NRM. This is how it is now.

The NRM acts like they own the nation and the state, the State is controlled from the State House and the orders are from there. There aren’t anything done without the State House involved, that isn’t a healthy state. That is a Banana Republic and an undemocratic state where one-voice control it all. There is time for change, it has been a long time for change. This cannot only be done by the freedom fighter Besigye, but has to happen by the will and acts of the people. The people have to say, enough is enough. The impunity, the theft and the ignorance of needs of the people is enough. Time to stand-up and be together in the struggle for just ice, liberty and accountability. For a regime who wants to deliver government services and also give taxation with representation. Something that isn’t done now by this government and the President. Peace.

Opinion: It’s total silence not defiance anymore

The Campaign of Defiance is dead, because the compliance has sunk the ship of Defiance that we’re ushered in with the Presidential Campaign of 2015/2016 of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and for the Presidential Candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye. The rigged and fraudulent election went down, the President since 1986 President Yoweri Museveni triggered election victory with 100% in dozens of districts and acted vicious in others; that are known opposition strongholds like Kampala, Wakiso and others. Therefore the FDC and Besigye should have and could have grievances on the methods of suppression of the votes.

Besigye’s campaign of defiance was a grand idea in the darkness of an oppressive regime under the National Resistance Movement. The NRM has for decades and during previous elections used public funds, used the state and security organizations to spread fear instead of free and fair election. As well as hiring fellow cronies in the Electoral Commission that we’re working directly on orders for the Movement instead of securing the popular vote, as well as using the Police Force and the Army to show where the loyalty should be, also gifts of soaps, food and small fees to take part of rallies in the districts. This has been NRMs way of spreading loyalty and fear mixed together.

So the Defiance campaign was a good idea, to defy the rigged system and state apparatus that has eaten the whole plate and only follows orders of loyal cronies of Museveni. That in itself was genuine and straight-forward plan from Besigye, only if more of the citizens and the party he was apart of really believed in it. As with time the defying plans has been silenced, the fighting the machine and corrupt behaviour of the state has turned silent.

The FDC and the defiance after the failing Election Petition of the Go-Forward and Amama Mbabazi in Supreme Court, the FDC and Besigye hasn’t had the levels of defiance in them or tried to defy the structures that validates the regime. The FDC has turned into compliance as the swearing-in of Museveni happen and the Members of Parliament we’re sworn-in after the fraudulent election. It was topped when certain MPs went into Shadow-Parliament and legitimized the Movement.

So with this the FDC themselves did comply with Museveni and his fellow cronies instead of defying the ruler. They went into the chambers made sure they got paid and later trying to follow the lead of Besigye isn’t believable. That the same men and woman who easily take the small-change at the Parliament and later goes to FDC Prayers is playing to games.

The Short-Con is the Shadow-Cabinet and validating the rule of Museveni to make sure their pockets are filled and that their MPs respectability is fixed so their families and friends are secured. But with this they are forgetting the long-term damage to be parts of Movements skin-democracy.

The Long-Con is that with the sharing parts of the skin-democracy and playing the game of the freedom fighters while not really working the cause. So the long-con is some of the FDC leadership roles right now, only patching the hurt, but not trying to rebuild.

The Defiance Campaign was about defying the Movement… something that the FDC didn’t do, which is complicated and also lacking of moral support from the FDC while he was serving time in Moroto and Luzira. They might show up to gates of the prison and even say publicly that they condemn the Police Force actions against the democratic and rights to assemble as an opposition party.

So the plan of Defiance wasn’t supposed to be one-man band, Besigye wasn’t supposed to carry it on his own. Besigye weren’t alone as we could see youths, P-10 Groups and FDC-Diaspora we’re supportive efforts. You had and still have Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and Gen. David Sejusa. Still, they have very few others who have been under fire at the same level without trading their souls, there is Ingrid Turinawe and Doreen Nyanjura has fought battles without much to gain.

That the silence in general should be worrying as the Police Force are continuing to battle with Besigye, his house is still besieged and the man is monitored every movement. If he breaks the barrier and creates public excitement, than it’s straight into detention or police brutality cases towards the crowds that surge the man.

Besigye should be free, the country should be free, but the silence isn’t saving anything. The silence has settled the defiance campaign and the mentality of the defiance agenda. They didn’t build momentum enough to stop the daily life and hurt the business of the movement. The defiance didn’t stop the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) from collecting VAT or stop exports of fuel. The Defiance didn’t stop the UPDF from getting new recruits or any other possible monetary deficiency the campaign could do. Just like the shops stopping trading as the shop-keepers we’re even detained for doing so, because it hurt the taxation and trade that the Movement needs to run their merry-go-round of graft and embezzlement of public funds.

The Defiance could have worked if the FDC and Besigye had gotten the momentum and had the public will behind them, not the half-ready pile of work, sort of like the way the Police Force in Uganda picks up intelligence as they see fit in forged police case. The FDC could have used the anger and frustration of the public, the citizens who feel used.

So the May Protest this year we’re starting of profound messages that the citizens we’re on the road of pressing the government. So much we’re ready as they remembered the recent thieving of their future from the Movement yet again, the wounds we’re fresh. Still the army had been in the streets, the Police Force we’re targeting the opposition and also civil society offices we’re attacked.

The people shouldn’t be silenced as the Christmas season are in line, the FDC cannot carry this alone, not that all of them wanted the defiance; they wanted the easy compliance life of the pseudo-opposition instead of a fighting defying organization that could get rid of the militarized movement that been running it since the 1980s. That should be KEY. That should be the goal of the FDC; instead many went into legitimizing it.

So the silenced is understandable, Besigye and his trials cannot be of only him and it isn’t, but it is many who has given in and went back to business-as-usual. Besigye could have more support from the FDC NEC, but he hasn’t. They don’t have the backbone and the wish to succeed. They gave in when it was going against the grain. They we’re risking it all and couldn’t. While Besigye is again under a “treason” charge as others who are questioning the Movement; the others are walking free and without any Court Orders in their name.

It’s not like the man who took the power by the gun want to leave silent or let it go easy, he fought a brutal bush-war. Now he has a big-army and guerrillas of M23, Museveni got allies of USA and Russia dropping arms in his favour so he can suppress his people. Citizens can fight this, but they cannot only rely on Besigye. Besigye only has power if the people are behind him. If the people are working with to dismantle the regime, but the silent obedient citizens are changing an illegitimate regime. Civil disobedience and systematic effort to discontinue the regime would be true defying the Movement. Instead the silence is what is running the tides as 2017 are coming around the corner. Peace.

Mzee have finally wiped out the opposition as he promised after the announced victory!

“I will wipe out the opposition completely in the next 5 years. NRM is going to be stronger” – Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

Let be clear, right after announced victory from the Electoral Commission and Eng. Dr. Badru Kiggundu, President Museveni said that he would wipe out the opposition and he has done it with passion and certainly soon done it as his duty. In a way to make sure that the Multi-Party system in the Nation is a flop.

The opportunities and the silver coined framed opposition figures in the Forum for Democratic Change are joining forces in the Shadow Cabinet to gain some estimated figures from the coffers of Parliament and play the parliamentary pawns that Mzee needs this term.

While the Uganda People’s Congress are busy trading their soul with NRM, as they are getting two slots in the 81 size cabinet of 2016-2021. The rest of UPC under Olara Otunnu are distancing and in general might even create another branch, and party that becomes a new profile, since they don’t want to be part of the NRM and Obote’s son selling of inheritance to Mzee.

Uganda Federal Alliance have also sold their fortunes for a Cabinet position and is therefore silenced by the Mzee, as she the leader of the party want to serve him and also be a part of his established court.

The hardliners of FDC are either lingering in jail, detained, house-arrested or kidnapped by security forces as the rest of the party are playing hide-and-seek close to Yusuf Lule Road in Kampala. So the party of FDC is even into the half who wants to continue the defiance of Dr. Kizza Besigye, and the ones that are settling for the silver-coins with the lingering blood on it.

The Grand question is: where is the Conservative Party of Ken Lukayamuzi? They are not to be seen, JEEMA are they still out there? Justice Forum and their men who even have been besieged by the Police during the days of officiating Mzee; the smaller parties are totally silent or at a non-approach. Democratic Party and Norbert Mao have addressed concern and the initial connection with the shoot-out in Gulu, while that was not true and government made conspiracy, and with the newly dispatched Amama Mbabazi, the party should be stronger, though their lingering nothingness, proves that the ability that Mzee have had since leaving for his swearing in,

The Police Force monitoring and detaining, silencing and attacking the opposition, together with trading with weaker minded opposition have made the stalemate livable, as the mentor and ticking problem of Besigye, is going from court to court, and addressing charges after charges and even treason, as IGP Kayihura are paying criminals to be witnesses and uses all means, and even most brain-dead police officers to lie in court; like he did in Kasangati Court of late; when the justice had to listen to the testimony of the Police Officer who was a former colonel, but never been to the army. So the truth is that, as long as he doesn’t have a voice, the men are walking around unsure of how behave towards the oppressive and militarized government of National Resistance Movement.

All of the Opposition parties are toothless right now, the Human Rights Organizations of Kampala are raided and nothing happens. People and activist are kidnapped, soldiers are being shot and killed in made up conspiracies, while colonels and sergeants are detained as well. The paranoia of the state combined with the militarized politics and police force are taken freedoms and taken all parts of the state. The Opposition is on life support… Who is out there to save it, as the big man Dr. Kizza Besigye is away and nobody else have the legitimacy or the charisma to fight the powers with peaceful means while Mzee uses every tactic in the book to destroy and conquer them. Something he has been successful with ever since election and the reaping results are happening now, as he 10^th Parliament are soon in function and the government are soon departing into brown envelopes, as business is back to normal after a hectic year. Press Release: Ugandan minister warns media not to cover opposition protests (10.05.2016)

NEW YORK, United States of America, May 10, 2016 –  Ugandan authorities should cease attempting to intimidate journalists in an effort to keep them from covering protests, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today.
Ugandan Minister for Information and National Guidance Jim Muhwezi on May 5 warned journalists that any news outlet that reports on opposition protests over the conduct of February’s presidential elections could face closure, according to press reports. Uganda’s political opposition has called for nationwide protests to mark the inauguration ceremony for President Yoweri Museveni’s fifth term, scheduled to take place in Kampala on May 12.
“All live broadcast of defiance activities should stop. Any media house that continues to cover them risks having their license revoked,” Muhwezi, a retired military officer, told reporters, according to Kampala’s daily Monitor. Those who cover the protests on social media could also be punished, the head of Uganda’s Communications Commission said, according to the BBC.
“The Ugandan government must stop trying to bully the media into silence,” CPJ Deputy Executive Director Robert Mahoney said. “Political protests are news and the press has a duty to the public to report on them.”
Uganda’s opposition Forum for Democratic Change, citing local and international observers, alleges that the elections were marked by irregularities and should be held again, according to press reports. Ugandan authorities say the poll was fair, and in late April obtained a court order declaring the protests illegal.
CPJ research has found that attacks against reporters covering the election have produced a climate of fear among Ugandan journalists.

Standard Group Ltd Journalist David Odongo arrested in Nairobi

Well, there been rumored that orders from up-high that Standard Group Limited David Odongo got arrested and detained at Nyayo Embaksi Police Station in Nairobi over a story published in the Nairobian. He is now detained, but the orders from above is not yet approved or claimed by anybody, but if; I see it like this: The IGP Joseph Boinett must have gotten the ‘orders’ and used the local police chief to detain him; Sure that is the Nairobi Police Commander Japhet Koome have to follow the orders of Boinett, as Boinett followed orders from above.

My theory as the reason is that Interior Cabinet Secretary Hon. Joseph Nkaissery, who we’re in charge of detaining John Ngirachu of the Daily Nation, James Mbaka of the Daily Star and Alphonce Skiundu of the Standard Group Limited. That he got detained and questioned for writing about questionable use of government funds in December 2015. Certainly I believe he was in-charge and he is the one from ABOVE. I would not be surprised or shocked. But he has already a track-record for this kind of rash actions; so why not now?

Not that it is shocking that the David Ondongo the writer and Journalist who wrote this piece recently in the Nairobian: “Meet Kimani Rugendo, the billionaire businessman” that got published on the 9th April 2016. That was a puff piece on a business-man who has made business with bottle-water, drinks and some army contracts. So if that is worrying for the nation of Kenya, then what is?

He wrote this on his own facebook yesterday where he was critical about the Kenyan Government Spokesperson writing a Statement that was criticizing PBS for their “Kenya Corruption Documentary Series”. Where he was writing: “Eric Kiraithe, being a spokesman doesn’t mean you have to speak even when you have nothing to say. Are you mad? Do you live in Kenya? Get off your ivory tower and come back to reality. If I posted your number here so that Kenyans can call you every time a cop demands a bribe from them, you will run mad. Your phone won’t stop ringing. Do you know how much Kenyans are suffering? So now, Mr Kiraithe you want to blame the civil society for the mess, you and your fellow cops put us into? Stop taking Kenyans for fools. You must have worked hard to be in the position you are right now, stop cheapening yourself by making statements, that you, deep in your heart know isn’t true. Can you look at your children, straight in their eyes, and tell them the video by PBS is fiction? I also don’t like my country being portrayed negatively by foreign media, but the truth can’t be hidden. You have some good officers in the force, but majority are rotten to the core. ‪#‎EndOfRant” (Odongo, 14.04.2016).

So do I believe that he was detained for a puff piece in the Nairobian on the 8^th of April? No not really, because his own will and his own words on Social Media as a writer and journalist will be recognized just as the words of Charles Onyango-Obbo (COO) quotes on Twitter will create views and questions on Policy. The same reach does not David Ondongo have, but he still have his space and his followers. So I believe that, that statement on Social Media is more worthy of creating some fuzz, then the piece on the business-man who trades bottled water and also investing in Sterling Craft Kenya Limited that they are starting to make ‘Water Tanks’ not tanks for the Kenya Defense Force (KDF). So the puff-piece must be used for deflection for the statement on the Facebook yesterday. As the Government got the whiff of his ideas and attack on the Kenyan government, that should be the case; not the puff-piece. Peace.

Deadline day for petition deliverance for the ones the opposition to counter the Electoral Commission final result the 20th February; Journalist and Turinawe arrested at Kasangati today; while Mwenda and Dr. Kigozi enters the Compound and FDC Officials not allowed in!

Early in the morning today there was reported that Independent Magazine editor and owner Andrew Mwenda entered and was allowed to enter Dr. Kizza Besigye home and discuss with him. The high work ethic of Andrew Felix Kaweesi and DPC Kasangati of James Kawwyla is busy arresting and sending people away from the area and usually not letting people in. IGP Kale Kayihura must find some well spoken word of wisdom must come soon, as the journalist detained and the amount of FDC agents and mobilisers are piling up into the deadline. While CP Fred Enaga can’t keep up with actions from his peers, the Police Force is acting as a tormentor of the people and opposition; not preserving the peace of the people. As much as the army is still staying in the streets of Kampala and other places on deployment to secure that Regime lives on in a tense state and not in a peaceful harmony between government and its people.   

Another report is that the money-man during the elections that had a son running as a Western Youth MP Gen. Tukumunde was either hurt by a canister of tear-gas or a bullet; the demonstrations against the result of the Western Youth MP.  Even the Police and Army entered the venue of the 800 youths voting for their representative of their region.

While also journalist are sitting and waiting at Kololo to see the opposition delivers the petitions at Supreme Court. They are waiting for the lawyers of the opposition to come with the petitions.

On Facebook after visiting Dr. Kizza Besigye:

“Today I visited Dr. Besigye at his home in Kasangati. I did this after reading his Facebook post where he said he felt like becoming a real terrorist. Seeing his dilemma, I understand this sentiment even though I do not agree with it. We held very fruitful discussions on the present and future of Uganda. Even though we disagree on how to promote democratic reform, I have no doubt that he is genuinely convinced that he is working for the good of our country” (…)”But as an old man I told Dr. Besigye that truth is never objective but subjective; it is plural and not singular. We will never resolve the truth of who won the last presidential election but we can begin a dialogue on how to build a better future for our country. I hope all sides to the Uganda political debate see the need to work together rather than to work against each other. Hate will not bring us deliverance but destruction” (…)”If both sides cannot accommodate each other through compromise, there will be no winners. And Uganda will lose. Besigye represents a large disgruntled voter segment. We cannot afford to dismiss their disenchantment. Museveni represents an even larger voter segment. We cannot ignore their views. The challenge is how to create a common ground” (Andrew Mwenda, 01.03.2016).

Mugisha Muntu says: “Police was suggesting to send in their own representative. That is the level of arrogance we are dealing with”.

The FDC said this:

“We are now heading to Kasangati to meet Kizza Besigye and come up with a conclusive decision” (…)”We are operating under very hostile conditions. Our candidate has been arrested 8 times in 10 days” (NBS TV, 01.03.2016).

Continued House-Arrest:

“Our reporter Bahati Remmy in Kasangati says Police is still deployed outside Kizza Besigye’s home” (NBS TV Uganda, 01.03.2016).

As the media is following the Kasangati, the one journalist detained and taken cameras from yesterday Abubaker Muwonge, was supposed to get back his gear today; instead he will not get for some reason from the Police.

FDC not allowed to have a meeting with Besigye:

“Party officials allowed to meet with Besigye. Only if they leave their cars at this cross section” (Nduhukire, 01.03.0216).

As the NBS TV follows the situation at Kasangati and the FDC meeting at the place today; the NBS Journalist Remmy Bhati has been beaten up by the Police and manhandled by the police.

NBS TV on it themselves:

“BREAKING: Our reporter Bahati Remmy arrested by police live on air in Kasangati” (NBS TV Uganda, 01.03.2016).

On the FDC that had to leave their cars and supposed to be allowed in, that changed by the minute as the Police has changed their minds.

Ingrid Turinawe said this hours before press conference and the arrival at Kasangati:

“All earlier efforts, engagements and attempts to have Dr. Besigye freed by police remain imposible. The deadline for presidential elections court petition is today. FDC NEC meets today at Najjanankumbi. We still wait for Dr. Besigye to attend this meeting. He is expected to give direction and his views about the matter. We still keep the hope and patience despite dictator provocation. In case police block him again from attending or arrests him again… The party will communicate to Ugandans the next course of action” (Turinawe, 01.03.2016).

On the FDC:

“HAPPENING: Mugisha Muntu and other FDC members blocked from accessing Kizza Besigye” (NBS TV Uganda, 01.03.2016).

The FDC Report on the matter:

“This is the current situation at Dr. Kizza Besigye’s home. The NEC has been told to leave its cars on the junction to Dr. Besigye’s road to the home. Heavy police present that outnumbers everybody else” (Forum for Democratic Change, 01.03.2016).

Also happening the FDC Secretary for Mobilisation Ingrid Turinawe together with a journalist has been arrested and is driven away to a unknown destination. As NTV describes it: “Ingrid Turinawe and a journalist have been held and detained in this van here in Kasangati” (NTV Uganda, 01.03.2016).

As the event’s unravel on the gates of Dr. Kizza Besigye’s home and FDC Officials are not allowed to enter to finish the petition to have the ability to deliver it to the Supreme Court in time. While that is happening, Dr. Maggie Kigozi has arrived at Kasangati. Gen. Mugisha Muntu and the FDC official’s plea with the Police enter the compound, as Andrew Mwenda could enter without any fuzz. Do you also see the double standard of the loyalist of Museveni and the others?

From Parliament:

MP Odo Tayebwa: “I am not in the mood to attend this plenary session, Mugisha Muntu has been denied access to Dr. Kizza Besigye”. Also: “MP Odo Tayebwa asks for leave from parliament, saying he is not in the mood to attend the session because of what is happening in Kasangati”. Proves his manner to justice, props to Tayebwa!

While the FDC Officials was not allowed to enter his home, the Dr. Maggie Kigozi and the Woman’s Situation Room have been allowed to enter and discuss matters with Dr. Kizza Besigye, while the time is ticking to the end of deadline day. As this is a sending that has come to stall the time until the Supreme Court closes.

While the actions and sieging of Kasangati continues. There was movement and people arriving at the Supreme Court. Here is the report:

“Vex Kingo ”Absolute Ambulera Govrnorment chairman as he claims has just arrived at Supreme Court Kololo to file his petitition.in brief he wants all recently concluded Presidential and Parliamentary Election be nullified because they were not carried out in accordance with eletral laws. VEX Kingo is known to be a political dramatist. But his arrived helped journalists break the boredom as the result of long day waiting for election petitioners”.

Yet more information about the Road-Blocks towards Kasangati:

“We are dealing with very unique and challenging times. A major route from Kiira-Matugga has been cut off. That means that many people are blocked and cut off to other destinations including Kasangati, a very sad state of affairs” (Forum for Democratic Change, 01.03.2016).

After the time and closure of the Supreme Court the Amama Mbabazi legal team came. They came at 17.05 when the time for addressing the court with petition was original time was set for 17.00.
