Magufuli’s Comic Relief: Detaining a comedian for laughing

On Tuesday this week, the Tanzanian Authorities has again arrested the comedian Idris Sultan. This after a video of the comedian went viral after he laughed while watching at old pictures of President Joseph Magufuli.

Last time he got into trouble was in October 2019, when he posted a Instagram or Twitter where he changed the face of the President with himself. Because the authorities deemed that actions as disrespectful.

This week, the authorities called it bullying of the President for a man to laugh of his old pictures. If you wondered how little of a man the President and his Team is. This proves it and shows how little it takes to get on his nerves.

President Magufuli should be better than this, but he cannot help himself. He just needs praise, love and care. His the little flower-boy who needs steady support care and is a big baby. The President needs his diaper change, ironed his trousers and enough spoons of sugar in his tea. Because if you don’t do that. Then he will be like a furious dragon spitting fire in the living room. That is who he is apparently.

His such a sheltered and weak man. That cannot manage any sort of ridicule or bad talk about himself. The President is so fragile, that even fine China is more stable and need less care. Because if your acting one milly-second wrong. You can be rest assured, he will tear you asunder or ensure your demise. That boost his little ego and secure that he feels like a tiger.

That is why a comedian cannot laugh at his old pictures. He wants the sweet memories like a Maroon 5 song or Bob Marley. He don’t want someone mocking him or making jokes. That is beneath him. His the king, the pope and the greatest ever walking in suits in the United Republic of Tanzania. Even if he got nothing to show for it.

His the bulldozer, who cannot even be touched. He can touch whoever in his way, but no one can say or even think about this man. If you do, expect someone to lock you up and throw away the key. No one should even consider writing about this man or even spread a malicious word. You will go missing before dawn.

My futile advice to President Magufuli is grow a pair of balls and be a grown ass man in office. Not be a little kid with fire and fury. Be a man who can stomach criticism and actually be a Head of State. Secondly and most importantly in this fashion. Use his office to act with care for his citizens and be responsible.

Because arresting people for laughing of old photos of you. Only undress you Mr. President, that your the emperor without clothes. Instead, of showing your greatness or character. Your showing the world that you got only vengeance. You got no humility and deep understanding of your role. If you did, you would scoff this off and refurbish a hospital.

Instead he does this to himself. Magufuli is the supposed King of the Castle, but instead he acts like the jester. Peace.

Opinion: Lungu and Magufuli are two sides of the same coin

This week has been a lesson, people should be aware that the Zambian President Edgar Lungu and Tanzanian John Pombe Magafuli are using similar tactics to stifle their opposition leaders. These two gentlemen in power is using their authority and state apparatus to stop them.

President Lungu will most likely target his main competitor Hakainde Hichelema (UPND), expect that HH will be in trouble regardless. HH was not only targeted by the Police and used tear-gas on the crowds as the President wanted to hold his rally at the same town. Lungu instead of being a statesman. We couldn’t expect that ahead of the elections in 2021. As the Zambian authorities have blocked rallies just because they lack space in their prison locally last year. So, don’t expect HH to not get into legal trouble and somehow get the blame for the violence ushered from the state. Because, that was a guy like Lungu does.

President Magufuli will continue with his rampage and oppressive behaviour towards the opposition. This will be centred at ACT-Wazeledo Zitto Kabwe and CHADEMA’s Tundu Lissu. They will struggle to hold rallies, to get people to be candidates or even charged with money laundering. So, that they cannot be on the ticket against Magufuli. That is what the likes of Magufuli does. He will do it in the election year and all justification is national security, but they always hit the opposition and their candidates.

Lungu and Magufuli are using their tools, the state and their office to ensure yet another election. Don’t expect this men to play fair. Neither do they have any ideals, mythical ethos or a paradigm shift that will make a difference in their republic’s. Why do I say that?

Well, if you cannot compete in the political sphere on ideas, manifestos or political framework in general. Because, there is no space to do so in these respectable places. Since they cannot accept a fair competition, neither free nor fair elections coming up.

HH in Zambia, Kabwe and Lissu in Tanzania will all be in trouble as the elections are getting near. Their Presidents cannot manage to deal with opposition, neither with someone who has character or has the ability stand their ground. That is why, they got to make their ways illegal. To silence them and stop their movement. They will charge them with money laundering, treason or whatever thing they pin on the gentlemen. That is what the likes do.

If these presidents was sincere, they would have made them able to campaign and do internal party works. Even hold Press Conferences and so-on without meeting the courts. However, they are not allowing it. That is why they cannot stand for anything else, than themselves and their own glory.

A glory that will fade, a lack of acceptance and understanding of other human beings. Because, everyone supposed to follow the Presidents without any consideration. If they question them, you better keep it silent and not talk about it. Since, they might track you or let you into the same trouble as the opposition leaders.

These leaders doesn’t target goals or development at this point. They target their own will to stay in power and use any means to do so. If you think otherwise. Check their track-record and their platforms. Peace.

The Face-Off from Idris Sultan hurt President Magufuli

Tanzania, the place where you have to be careful how to be an online personality. How you have to be careful what sort of words you use. When you use them or even whatever you do. Might be used against you. Especially if this concerns President John Pombe Magufuli and his CCM. They are not to be joked around with or talked about in a bad manner. Than your an criminal and meets the authorities. That we have seen all through the tenure of the President and it continues.

This time its the joke on Twitter from comedian Idris Sultan yesterday on the 30th October 2019. When that news hit the authorities, this happen: “Tanzanian actor and comedian Idris Sultan is now facing arrest after he photoshopped Tanzanian head of state’s photos. Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda ordered comedian Idris Sultan to present himself to the nearest police station terming the actor’s acts as disrespect” (Ghetto Radio Kenya, 31.10.2019).

Because of that I have to write about this. Since this is yet another case of the mind-boggling social control, the levels of lack of free speech and even just common expression of one-self in the public sphere on social media. That someone for editing of photos getting into legal jeopardy.

The law he might have breached and has to defend himself for is this one:

CYBER CRIME ACT S.15. (1) A person shall not, by using a computer system impersonate another person. (2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on conviction, to a fine of not less than five million shillings or three times the value of undue advantage received by that person, whichever is greater, or to imprisonment for a term of not less than seven years or to both”.

So, what this means, that face-off’s is illegal. Playing around and fooling around, editing pictures and uploading them is illegal. That means, by this definition the Face-Off movie from 1997 with Nicholas Cage and John Travolta better be illegal too. Because, that is the definition of what Idris Sultan did yesterday on Twitter.

He was doing the switch of faces from the President to himself. So, if the President would have some humour, he would have switched to one of the pictures of Idris Sultan. However, this President is to vein and bloated self-importance to do so. This President cannot stomach critics and see this a criticism, which indirectly an insult of him.

Certainly, the CCM and Magufuli should take some time of their busy scheduling finding things to pin crimes on their citizens and making people felons. Maybe, just watch Face-Off and get a deeper understanding of what impersonation means. It is not like the Comedian stole the President identity and bought all types of books possible on Amazon? Not like he used his voice and played the President fooling some foreign investor in some fraud?

Those would have been some serious impersonation. However, this was just some mere fun on Twitter. Not harming a fly, not really disrespecting the President either. He was even wishing the President a peaceful birthday. For that, he might get into legal trouble and incarcerated for years.

That is Tanzania in 2019. Face-Off is illegal and especially of the President. His the holiness, you cannot comment, talk or address without blessing his name and spirit. The President is above all men and we just have to blessed to live in the life-time. Where people cannot edit, write or even drop statistics, which the President hasn’t anointed. Peace.

Barrick: The Launch of Twiga Minerals Heralds Partnership Between Tanzanian Government and Barrick (20.10.2019)

Opinion: Magufuli should look at Acacia before he throws shade at Museveni!

President John Pombe Magufuli has advised President Museveni to sacrifice part of the 185m USD tax bill charged by the URA to conclude plans for the construction of the crude oil pipeline and begin the project forthwith in order to create jobs” (NTV Uganda, 07.09.2019).

Today, is yet another day of hypocrisy. It is not new, but just another story like that. As the Tanzanian President Magufuli is right that Uganda Revenue Authority and their winning of a Court Case, which entails a tax-dispute between Tullow Oil has suspended the development of the pipeline and the drilling in parts of the Lake Albert Basin. As the farm-down agreement between three parties, Tullow, Total and CNOOC is on-hold.

That is where the Tanzanian President is right. Period. However, he is wrong in a whole other sense. Should President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni tell his counter-part, that he should mind his own business? Yes, actually. Because, in this manner. The Tanzanian one is doing the same battle with anther extraction industry. The mining industry, the Acacia Mining tax scandal. Where the the company has to back-pay the government.

This the Tanzanian counterparts slapped on the company by in 2017. The same sort of settlement the Ugandan did with Tullow in 2015, as the Republic wanted back-taxes for the investments done in the territory. That is why Magufuli shouldn’t whine about this.

Surely, we know Magufuli wanted the man-power, the taxing rate of the movement of goods through his United Republic and secure the usage of Tanga Port. Museveni knows this, but he wants the tax for the operations done by both Heritage and Tullow. That is trying to ditch the back-pay on other companies whose buying their stake in the Lake Albert Basin.

Therefore, with the knowledge of the Acacia scandal, that is still going on to this day. Magufuli wanted back-pay for lack of taxes from the mining industry. Which is righteous, just like Museveni does at his place. The Tullow has now used years from 2015 to 2019. Acacia has now used 2017 to 2019. In 2018, the ownership of Acacia said it looked forward to negotiations with the government. This year in February, the company still have no resolution to the back-pay of taxes. That means the government of Magufuli have not fixed the same issue.

Just like the Ugandans haven’t fixed the farm-down and back-pay of operational taxes. Because, the company trying to configure itself out of taxes. Surely, Tanzania see the same acts by their mining industry. But in this regard, Magufuli wants to earn a dime on the oil exploitation in the Lake Albert Basin.

So, before the Tanzanian get it fixed with Acacia or Barrick in their own dominion. They should give time for Ugandans to fix their own tax dispute. They have even won it in an International Court. Therefore, the Ugandan case is stronger, than the one of Acacia. Whose only internally disputed.

That is why, this isn’t the faults of Uganda Revenue Authority, but of Tullow, whose trying to deflect the payment of taxes in the Republic. Something, Magufuli wouldn’t allow anyone operating in his territory. If so, why this hustle against Acacia and still not stopping it?

Because, Magufuli want the taxes and the proper payment for doing business in the United Republic. Just like Museveni want the proper payment for doing business in the Republic.

So, please Joseph, get your own domain straight, before throwing other people under the bus. Maybe, once in the while accept criticism. That might given your argument a more flair and less selfish reasons for addressing a neighbour and an ally. Peace.

Mdude’s shadow will haunt you Mr. President!

Again and again, the ones who dares to insult, insinuate or even insist on criticising His Excellency, they are all getting into trouble. That is why Union Day are more looking like a Military Parade, than a day of joy and happiness. President Joseph Pombe Magufuli has again ensured that someone is taken away or dispatched somewhere.

This time its his critic Mdude Nyagali or Mdude Chadema, whose been abducted by four gun-wielding men. Though we don’t know why his gotten kidnapped, but surely it is in connection with his outspoken and open criticism of the President. This seems like a targeted hit and at someone who has no trouble filling in the blanks.

Mdude has been missing now for over two days. He went first missing after the kidnapping on the 4th May 2019. Therefore, his location and his possible place of capture would be vital. As we don’t know what agency, whose behind it or who wants to be responsible for this assault on his liberty, freedom and even justice to a critical citizen.

We already know that Magufuli doesn’t have the ability or the character to grasp his role as a President. That Magufuli doesn’t have the capacity or knowledge to rule, he is a man who needs all the glory and all the praise, but never-ever, never-ever be questioned or criticised. The mighty, the Executive and the Head of State who only accepts worship, but not anything negative. That is why dudes, like Mdude gets into trouble.

We have seen this before and his the latest casualty of the fragile ego of the President. A hypocrite and a bastard of a man. Whose belittling mind cannot understand or hold the level of intelligence to fit the paradigm of society or civil society for that matter.

Mdude’s shadow will now hunt the Presidency, because the President is a shallow-minded individual. Who clearly needs to seek guidance, needs a lesson or two, maybe even some education. As it seems he never had any, if he did, he never got any in manners or as a leader. Since, he as a leader, never understood how to lead or guide the public. How the public discourse get discussed or how people tend to articulate their difference with a President. Alas, he just wants love and not hate.

Even if the actions of the President only shows hate and contempt of the human race, as he wants blind submission and not thinking individuals. Because, he wants the public in the image of himself. A non-thinking man with boundless powers. But if we followed a man like that, we would all run out of a cliff and never return back again alive.

That is why the shadow of Mdude will follow him. On every corner, at every parliamentary session, every time he touches a pen or even thinks. Mdude will shine back in the mirror and even scare him shitless when he whizz. That is the reality of Magufuli. Until the man is released and produced in a Court of Law. If the State can prove his guilt of a crime or even pin a criminal act on him. Because, right now his kidnapped and no-one knows where he is for the last 48 hours. Peace.

Why are you so disrespectful, Mr. President? When you arrests an MP over nothing!

If you want to be respected by others, the great thing is to respect yourself. Only by that, only by self-respect will you compel others to respect you.”Fyodor Dostoyevsky

We know by now, that the latest big-man with a microscopic heart and able to digest criticism is Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli. In his reign people have been arrested over nothing, the state is monitoring dissidents to ridiculous levels and the initial ONE-Party State Bonanza should be ushered in with his blessing. Because, all party works of the opposition is practically followed and monitored by the state. Which is the ruling party and the President who controls with an iron-fist.

President Magufuli is a weak heart, he must have high blood-pressure, little sleep and be vein. His self-entitlement and his own narcissistic ways must be mix of cult-leader and Al Capone. Because, he loves praise and look like a King. But at the first moment of questioning or even a beacon crossing the threshold of criticism. Expect to be behind bars, suspended media-house or getting persecuted one way or the other. That is just what Mugufuli does, because he cannot help himself.

That is why yet again Halima James Mdee gets into legal trouble, because she defies the state and speak up against the nonsense of Magufuli. She might be rash, but who wouldn’t, when you are muffled like a child as a politician. Not allowed to do your work or meet your constituents without the blessing of ungodly President. Well, that is just the way things are.

Recent Report:

Kawe MP Halima Mdee of the CHADEMA party has been arrested for allegedly making disrespectful remarks against President John Magufuli. The legislator has been denied bail and would have to spend the weekend at the police station” ( Merxcine Cush – ‘Tanzanian MP Halima Mdee Arrested For Making ‘Disrespectful Remarks’ Against President Magufuli’ 23.02.2019).

Surely Mdee might have said something at the rallies of late, which she has questioned the authority of the President. However, if it is illegal to address the President in public. Make it a direct law. Make a legal text, where the state says the President is a God or a Devine spirit, his Holiness, which is without sin like the Pope.

Henceforth, the public cannot say or address in any way, in any shape or form say anything ill, insulting, disrespectful or even utter a word of negative tone; when addressing His Majesty, His Excellency, the Fountain of Honour, the bravest man of the United Republic, the man who sets the SUN and whose words let the SUN shine again.

Since the President John Pombe Magufuli shall only get praise for his greatness, his uniqueness and his special ways, which is a treat, a joy and which makes the world go around. Peace.
