Jajja’s eight time the charm: 2021 and beyond!

This upcoming election isn’t about reforms, isn’t about progress or about the ability to go forward. This up-coming election isn’t about the legacy nor the options or selections of candidates. That sort of ship has sailed, as the Age Limit bill enacted into law. Fixing the 1995 Constitution into the image, which the President needed.

We can all fool say, that Robert Kyagulanyi or Dr. Kizza Besigye have a shot this time. We can all joke around and think that the Forum for Democratic Change, Uganda People’s Congress, Justice Forum or the Democratic Party have a possible outreach to challenge the Movement. We can all mock ourselves, thinking that Norbert Mao, Asuman Basalirwa and James Akena will push the boundaries for this up-coming election. However, we all know that is a lie.

It is not that I am again change, not that I am against any of the opposition parties. I am not, but the cynical and free thinking spirit in me is saying, that this election is already pre-rigged, prepared and settled. There are no bounds for victory elsewhere. That is false-hope, which is fiction. It is political suicide to think that you can conquer or even beat Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in 2021.

The only thing that can conquer him at this point is either that the military, the generals and the ones closest to the army are turning against him. If not its his age and his health that will go into default stages because of his advanced age. Therefore, when concerning ballots, campaigning and all the rest is a farce for the façade.

The façade of a democracy and an election of some sense. That the public are in-line awaiting their turn to throw their ballot into the boxes. Where the party and candidates hold rallies and come with manifestoes and pledges. They all can promise new and fresh days, all new roses and chapattis, not to talk about working out the bottlenecks and getting the country into a middle-income nation. However, how much of a mirage that is at this point.

We know they will do this, will come out, guns blazing and fuming with fire. They all will come as statesmen and nobles, stand up tall and smile, glace at the crowds and mysteriously be gone in the next hot-minute after the polls. Because, that is just what they do. They came all in, but forgotten the next moment.

As that is happening, as the 2021 elections are getting prepared. Let us not fool ourselves. We already knows who wins, who will have the margin in the Parliament and who will have the elective officials behind him. Not because he is the best candidate, neither the second best either, but he is the only alternative, because he cannot lose. Since the system is built on his image and his vision. It is all him and everyone else is supposed to bow down to his majesty, the royal king and this is his domain. The Republic and its citizens are his servants and they should be humble and oblige him for another term. Even if that means his eight shot to strike Royal Flush.

Clearly, the Movement, the President and the whole state apparatus will act like it is a fair game, when its not. It’s rigged and settled before even the ballots are procured. This game isn’t changing anything. This election could have been similar in 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011 or 2015. Even in 1980, but then there was another master who rigged that election. Now, it’s his time, yet again. Peace.

Uganda Police Force: Press Release – Territorial Police Investigation Foiled Cash-In-Transit Robbery (06.03.2019)

Opinion: A staged opposition in-fighting is a automatic victory for Bosco!

Yesterday’s unneeded drama and heckling outside of CBS Radio Station as Dr. Kizza Besigye left the station. It was speculated that the ones doing this was associated with the People Power Movement and Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. However, he has disassociated and said that isn’t the way.

We have to reconfigure something, as the radical people will always surface in any bracket of the public. In any part of a party and in a movement. That is a natural feature within any party and for all sorts of reasons. That is why we get days like yesterday. This is not a vindication of Mwenda’s attacks on the Bobi Wine and Defiance Campaign of Besigye. No, it is just a reality check, because, it matters everywhere. The majority isn’t like that, but a selected few.

What we do know now, is that these who went there yesterday might be staged or hired to do so. They were not directly ordered or behind it, as it has been speculated that a James Mubiru is behind it. Which hired people to carry on with the slogans of Bobi Wine and his movement, while heckling and addressing Besigye yesterday. This is then not an direct attack of Bobi Wine or his people, but instead a hired man, whose using money to get people to create a staged fuzz.

Therefore, the disassociation of Bobi Wine makes sense, but as it is staged. It is important that this is supposed to make these two look like enemies in the public perception. Even though that is far from true, as these two has been close and also talked on various occasions. Both Opposition leaders are working for the same cause. However, for the NRM to look strong, the Opposition needs to be infighting and needs to weakening itself. Because, then the NRM is the only viable avenue, even when the side-roads are better. Since, it looks hectic and filled with blockades, instead of a straight road to redemption.

That is what is up. That the NRM and the President is having a quick victory if the People Power and FDC is fighting. If Besigye and Bobi Wine is fighting too. If the NRM gets the DP, UPC, JEEMA, FDC and People Power all against each other. Than, the NRM will easily win. Not that they need it peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Because, the NRM will rig the up-coming elections.

Still, for the public perception sake, the NRM needs the infighting and the bickering, where the Opposition seems more fragmented than it is. Then the President can proclaim that he is only viable way out and the Opposition is just mess. That he is the only saviour and the NRM only has the solutions, because the Opposition is making havoc, even without power. This is the ambition of this sort of play.

Not that the Opposition needs a new The Democratic Alliance (TDA) or an Inter-Party Coalition (IPC), but an cohesive strategy to show progress and ability to be significant better; than what is currently ruling the Republic. That doesn’t mean that they should follow the DP idea of challenging the NRM with Joint Candidates. With that the Opposition is not showing strength, but creating a two-party system. Because, they lack faith in their own candidates and want to ensure less costs for a possible victory.

Instead, the Opposition should field all candidates and prove their value to the voters. Even if that fragment the votes. Because, that is natural, but at the same time work together with common goals, as they are all supposed to want to show supremacy and better political platform than NRM. That should make sense.

That is why we need to see Bobi Wine and Besigye working together in a cohesive and in a manner, where the public trust their agenda. Where the public perception is positive and where they are showing progressive means to further their work. They don’t need bickering and in-fighting. That is something the NRM can do themselves, as they usually does in their Primaries. We can just await the chaos coming up in the Road to General Elections of 2021.

That is why they stage this sort of operations. To make the Opposition look bad. Make someone a victim and blame someone else. Even if it is a ploy to play the public. They might think they are able to succeed, but when you look through it all. Then you see why and know the agenda. That is why you know it is deliberate by the regime to make a fool of the opposition. Instead, they are looking like Tin-Soldiers on the streets.

What we are seeing is more of the power of Besigye and Bobi Wine, their supporters and their vision. Instead of making them look foolish, which was the goal. Peace.

Opinion: The re-arrest of Zaake isn’t for the integrity of rule of law!

Let us be clear, the rule of law and justice for all is a long ship sailed, where the bounds of the NRM and the President is well overboard. Where the justice is a mere ship for sailing away, those who are unwanted and to pursuit the ones that challenge the regime. That Hon. Francis Zaake is now in prison on harsh sentences is because they want to signal something. Nevertheless, not because of rule of law.

The Police Force and the Justice system is serving their master and to the T. They are not doing this to show how the force will act or how the Police enact on these laws. Instead, they are showing the intent of silencing their biggest enemies. They are using legal means to mask the injustice. That is all they are up too.

Because, since August 2018, when Zaake first got charged and “supposed” fled from the Courts and the Enforcement. When he in reality got dumped and got legal remedy to be able to get medical care for the injuries made while being in detention without any warrant. However, that is a non-issue in the statement released today.

The only thing they say, it’s a warning for the politicians who think they can escape the law and the enforcement of it. That they shouldn’t be politicking, but following the commandments of the Courts and the Police Bonds they have. They should tread the waters carefully and follow the guidelines of the Police.

This sort of state shows the Police State and militarization of society, which the NRM holds so dear. That is why all mean of honour, at one point become high ranking officials in army, they are men of guns and titles. That is who they are and that is why they strike even harder at dissidents, because they are not following the command from above high.

So, todays Press Release from CP Fred Enanga is just another step of the prolific harassment and lack of good judgement in the parts of law enforcement in the republic. They are making dissidents arch-nemesis and criminals, while the real thieves and murderers are lingering in the streets. That is just what they do. They are keener on Besigye and Bobi Wine, than on solving real crimes to society. They have ensured nearly all public meetings, all political activism and all collective gathering of opinion as illegal, with exception of the ruling party. They can do whatever like.

Zaake wasn’t taken yesterday, put courtside today for integrity sake. No, he was taken as a sign of how oppressive this regime will be until the polls of 2021. How, they are taking it up a notch, to signal the opposition of who rules and what gives. They are not coming storming the gates, but they are taking you out, one by one. Right now its Zaake, next time someone else.

This is selective law; this is misuse of power and statutes, as they are inflicting more harm on themselves, without even knowing. Because, they have had the time since August 2018 to show something for the investigation and proof of ill will and criminal offenses by the culprits of Arua By-Election. However, there not even a stone that has been displayed. Peace.

Uganda Police Force: Press Release on the arrests of Hon. Francis Zaake (22.02.2019)

Hon. Zaake Re-Re Arrested (!!!)

Last night Hon Francis Zaake was abducted on the Queensway, Kampala. This was done by Police Detectives, later arraigned and detained him at Kampala Central Police Station. Today, however, has been even more hectic. As the shadows of last year is repeating itself. The repetition is happening in front of our mere eyes. As the state retaliates and continues to pursuit the oppositions Members of Parliament, who was campaigning for Kassiano Wadri in Arua By-Election.

This is the aftermath of this, as Zaake is unjustifiably charged again with attempting to flee and treason.

Here is a short snippet of today:

Mityana Municipality Mp, Francis Zaake was this morning produced at Arua Chief Magistrates Court where charges of escaping from a legal detention facility were read to him before he was released on a non cash bail of 50 million UGX” (…) “Immediately after his release, Zaake was arrested, put into the waiting police double cabin truck and driven to Gulu where he faces charges of treason” (NBS Television, 22.02.2019).

What is magical about this affair, is that police are able to charge a man with unlawful escape, a man that was in coma and in the midst of worst health condition, as the torture and the brutality of the arrests in the aftermath of the Arua By-Election. He was even struggling to leave the hospitals, where the security officers dropped in him after a few days or close to week M.I.A in unknown medical conditions. Therefore, for someone dropped off like garbage at Kiruddu Hospital. Where the Police wouldn’t let him leave for treatment at one point. Where they kept him without letting anyone see him. Still, they are pursuing the case of unlawful escape. Plus the TREASON, which is just a sign of his resilience against the regime. As any proper opposition gets that tag by the NRM and their Police Force, when needed be.

Surely, the Gulu Magistrate Court will drop some more charges. Not that the state has collected any more evidence against the Arua 33 or any or the MPs in question. Because, this is just tactics used to stifle the opposition and silence them. Make sure they have enough legal cases, so they cannot campaign or even live as ordinary human beings.

Zaake within 48 hours, in one cell, two courts and later surely either bailed twice, or arrested three times. Because, now they have in his sight and they will not let him go. The Deputy of People Power Movement, and loyal friend of Bobi Wine. Will surely see the Police more than his kin for a while. That is how the Police Force operates.

There is no change from IGP Kayihura to IGP Okoth-Ochola, just mere change of façade, and the rest is the same; this is a well-known tactic and keep on using it. They are now pawns in the giant chess set, which has been made in a fashion, where the king always win. The winner is Museveni and his minions are scheming and ensuring the ones, who was vocal in the Arua By-Election gets to pay. He doesn’t want Zaake or anyone else speaking up. That is why these cases are prolonged and nothing is gained. As we are speaking August 2018 and we’re soon in March 2019. Nothing has been produced, other than allegations and alleged crimes. Even the magnificent stones haven’t been produced or even explained to the world.

Surely, the UPF and NRM will continue these harassments of Opposition. Especially, considering the race to 2021. However, we all seen it before and the lies will come to the surface. Peace.

Uganda Police Force: Press Release – Police Refutes Attack Claims Against Senior Officer (20.02.2019)

Uganda Police Force: Press Release – Police Clarifies on Edited Video Clip (20.02.2019)

Apparently, the Katikkiro snubbed Museveni!

Rumors are ripe that am going to be appointed VP; that that’s the reason Pres M7 was hosted by Kabaka Mutebi at Banda Palace so the President might brief the King. I am not the next VP. Iam carrying out my duties as entrusted to me by the Kabaka. I don’t do under table deals. CPM” (Charles Peter Mayiga, 11.02.2019).

Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has shown finesse and also strength. There been speculations in what was happening within the meeting between Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The meeting was held this 5th February 2019, it is seen as event , that is happening because of the upcoming General Election in 2021. As the President wants to ensure all his allies are with him and that powerful ones on his side. This is typical him, as he offers money, pledge land-back and whatever else. As it is a trade for loyalty.

Therefore, there are known of some financial implications of the meetings, as the grievances of the theft of Kingdom’s land and other aspects. Has made the President work hasty, as he wants to settle it and look good in the eyes of the Kingdom. Yoweri wants Ronald to not be a voice or renegade against him. Since, he is one who gotten his place back because of him and also his lost titles. If not compensation of the lost land titles. That is if, the NRM and the Ministry of Finance can find the funds to do so.

Whatever this shows is the way that the government manoeuvrer in the time before an election. Try to reign in all, to get all the ducks in a row and make the roads shine. In the meantime, the President can let everything go and eat. While right before an election, he needs to show effort and let other get some scraps too.

What has been special is the rumours and promise of giving the Buganda Prime Minister or Katikkiro Mayiga the role as Vice-President beneath himself. That the President might appoint him, as a token of loyalty to the Kingdom, as the special place it has in the Republic.

If the Katikkiro would get this role, he would be sort of like King Freddie, who was President between October 9, 1962 to March 2, 1966. By all means, King Freddie had actual power in his office as President and King. While, the Katikkiro would be a noble-men, with a high-office, but we all know. That Vice-President Edward Ssekandi is an important as a grape-fruit. He is a nice trophy, but not something you take utter seriously or of vast importance. There are usually more swagger in the Prime Ministers, that the President has appointed. Therefore, the Katikkiro would be a big-man with a office, but not doing anything profound. Because, when did Ssekandi do something magnificent or revolutionary, did something or said something that was worth damn? Well, that never happen. The same would be the role of the Katikkiro.

Katikkiro would play second fiddle and be one of the cronies within the administration of Museveni. He would be nothing else. So, if this was offered to him, it would have been done to show loyalty to the Kingdom and the King. As his men would be directly in the sphere of power. As the President needs the support of this, as the President knows the growing dissidents within the Kingdom against him. The opposition and the ones behind Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine are from this. Therefore, it would been a smart move of the President. He is conning enough to do this.

What we can take from this, that the Kabaka has a loyal servant, who he has appointed and the President got snubbed. Peace.

The Media is under siege in Uganda!

There is no joke, there is no play in concern for the journalists in the Republic of Uganda. This can be said after the Uganda Communications Commission yesterday has suspended the Daily Monitor Online Newspaper after publishing a traditional healer story connected with the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga on their pages in the end of January.

As that is happening, today, there was arrest of Next Media Limited, which are behind the NBS Television, who has arrested the wife Vivian Serwanjja of senior investigator Solomon Serwanjja, also arrested Kassim Mohammed, Rashid Kaweesa and Godfrey Badebye from the BBC TV. All of them gotten arrested today. As they were working on an investigation into government drugs and the black market trading in the Republic.

As that is happening, the journalists Raymond Wamala (Spyreports Uganda), Bob Atwiine (Spyreports Uganda), John Njoroge (CEO Magazine), Richard Wanambwa (Eagle Online) and Andrew Irumba Live (Spy Uganda) have been summoned by CID to be at the Police HQ tomorrow. Tomorrow they will be questioned and interviewed by the Police for certain stories they have posted or published. As they have been critical of the regime and what they are claiming. All of these has been there before, as the state tries to intimidate them from doing investigative reporting.

As, we see, it is a pattern, that repeats itself. Every-time someone digs deep or tries to uncover the truth. The state answer with intimidation, arbitrary arrests and even taking people hostage, like they have done in Vivian’s case. Today, Solomon has been hiding, therefore, the state took Vivian in instead. That is how they deem fair treatment of citizens and of the ones possibly exposing the oppression and unjust in society. While doing that, they themselves become criminals and outlaws. As they are just doing their job and trying to report on the events and acts that is done in the Republic.

The media is just telling what they are seeing, they are just exposing and revealing what information they are gathering and finding. They are not trying to make a situation look different than it is. They are trying to reports and explain the background and the context to all the acts that is done in the Republic. If the Republic and government has nothing to fear, then they should not fear journalists. But if the ills of society comes from the government, than the journalists will find it, as they dig into the realities and society they are apart.

Nevertheless, reporting and journalism isn’t a crime, they are just painting the canvass, they are not trigger the gun, but explaining why the person used the gun and the possible reasons for why the person used it in the first place. They are just painting the story, they are not creating the stories. That is reality, that is why these arrests, which isn’t new. The summoning of others, isn’t new either. In the middle of December 2018, the same people was summoned by the CID. So, they are doing it again, apparently.

The BBC has gotten arrested at Abim Hospital and in Kasese in recent years, as they were reporting both during the Campaign before the General Election. Also, as the Special Force Command was burning down the Palace in Kasese. I even remember the journalist outside of Besigye house in Kasangati, Wakiso, as Besigye was house-arrested. He was taken directly, as he was filming it live and was detained while he was on air. That was right after the General Election of 2016. These are just some quick examples, where the authorities has silenced the media. Because, they want to keep to people in the dark.

The Police continues to do this, the authorities wants this, but they are clearly sending the message, that they want to keep the public in the dark. Peace.
