South Sudan: President Salva Kiir Mayardiit Condolances Message for Gen. James Ajongo (20.04.2018)

The TPLF/EPRDF army and security apparatuses are wrecking mayhem throughout Ethiopia as the operation of State of Emergency intensifies with degree of unprecedented barbarism in Oromia and throughout the country, even after the new PM has been appointed by TPLF/EPRDF. The killing of dozens of unarmed civilians is also intensifying in various Oromia regional state as are the imprison- ment of civilians in Ogaden Somali since the new PM, Dr Abiy Ahmed has sworn in on April 02, 2018. The PAFD categorically condemns with all possible terms the EPRDF/TPLF’s State terrorism in Ethiopia and urges the EPRDF/TPLF to call for an urgent transitional arrangement.
The inauguration speech of the new PM has been meticulously crafted with a lot of positive attributes albeit with the objective of achieving one key target of erroneously uplifting the spirit of often dejected mass. All peoples of Ethiopia who’ve lost hope and trust in TPLF/EPRDF during its 27 years reign of divide and conquer thought there is going to be a glimmer of hope, although it has become apparent that nothing has changed apart from paying lip-services.
Meanwhile, the killings of and an arbitrary detention of civilians has increasingly continued in various regions with severity in Oromia. The instigation of ethnic conflicts between peacefully coexisted nations such as the Oromo and Gedeo, Oromo and Ogaden Somali and the rest is increasing albeit the imposi- tion of State of Emergency and murdering of civilians. In Oromia regional state where the TPLF/ EPRDF’s army and security apparatuses are saturated, in addition to April 17, 2018’s Moyale carnage, the daily executions of unarmed dozens of civilians including a pregnant woman known by the name
‘Ayyaantuu Mohaammad Shaanqoo’ in East Oromia Hararge Zone, Mee’sso town on April 8, 2018 has increased. Initially, the indicated Oromo pregnant woman was approached by the Agaazi forces who demanded her for a gang-rape. As she refused to obey their sadistic orders, they forced her to her knees and shot her on her head with three bullets to instantly kill her. Additionally, an elderly Oromo man known by the name ‘Mardaasaa Yaadasaa’ in Qellem district of Wallaggaa zone, Sadii Caanqaa sub district, Koomboo village has been executed by TPLF/EPRDF’s Agaazi on April 13, 2018 who broke into his house before dawn by further seriously wounding his son who is fighting for his life in hospital.
In Ogaden Somali the detention of politicians and deliberately denying water and food to civilians in various districts is widespread as part of indirect killing of hundreds of deliberately targeted civilians
with the objectives of depopulating Ogaden Somali. Moreover, the TPLF/EPRDF’s regime is also de- ploying the Ogaden Somali detainees who have been recently released for a forced labour where the la- bourers are often denied food and water until they die. Today (April 18, 2018) the TPLF/EPRDF’s re- gional agents -the Solomali Liyu militia executed an Ogadeni Somali woman known by the name
‘Rooda Yaasiin Muhumed’ in Kabribayah town of the region for no apparent reason. In Sidama the displacement of thousands of peasants from their lands of Hawassa proximity is intensifying by turning
the majority to virtual beggars in their own land. In Gambella, Amhara, Afar, the entire south and Benshangul, the plights of civilians remain as precarious as it was 15 or 20 years ago. The situation all over the country remains as fluid as it has been a year ago despite the short-lived Euphoria of the majority after the inauguration of the new PM two weeks ago.
Therefore, the PAFD categorically deplores the ongoing killing and arbitrary detentions of civilians in various parts of the country including in Oromia, Ogaden Somali, Amhara, Afar, Gambella and elsewhere. We urge the new PM and his EPRDF’s party to unconditionally lift the State of Emergency, release all political prisoners and call for an unconditional all- inclusive transitional arrangement in Ethiopia to restore law and order that remain distant from the peoples of Ethiopia for the past 27 years.
Finally, the PAFD’s once again renews its calls of London February 2018 all-inclusive confer- ence to opposition groups of all peoples of Ethiopia to unconditionally put aside their differ- ences to agree to work together to achieve the highly-craved democratic changes by struggling in unison. We also call upon all politicians, civic society, academics and religious groups to open their minds and hearts to come to term to realistically address the demands of the major- ity in Ethiopia in unison. Recognising and appreciating the recent approval of House Resolu- tion (HR-128) in America, we finally call upon all the international political players to do more in defending the rights of over 104 million peoples in Ethiopian by unconditionally and fully supporting their struggle until they achieve their dream of living in a free and democratic country where her leaders are held into account for their actions and accountable to their con- stituents.

“In peace one is despoiled by the mercenaries, in war by one’s enemies.” – Niccolò Machiavelli (The Prince)
There has been speculations and even reports of the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) return to the war-torn republic of South Sudan. President Salva Mayardiit Kiir and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has long-standing friendship and they have helped each other out in the past. This is a continuation of this; there has been reports of technical help and also support of weapons from Uganda. Now, the opposition and rebel force SPLM/A-IO are claiming they have returned.
“Rebels disclosed that Ugandan soldiers are already in Bentiu and warned that more troops should arrive in other locations within days or weeks to help Juba fight against the SPLA-IO. “We have solid information that Ugandan soldiers are now in Bentiu area,” Khamis Mawwil, an officer with the SPLA-IO intelligence branch told the South Sudan News Agency (SSNA) in Maiwut. Khamis claims that the armed opposition has a good number of intelligence operatives in Uganda and that Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni ordered the return of Ugandan troops to the war-torn young nation. “Uganda’s leader ordered the deployment of his troops to South Sudan, there is no question about that,” Khamis charged. “We will crush them if they don’t want peace,” he vowed” (South Sudan News Agency – ‘Uganda accused of secretly sending troops to South Sudan’ 17.04.2018).
This is not a surprise; this has been a waiting game for the parties. They have both worked slowly towards this. That the UPDF would support the SPLA would be like weapon brothers coming in to crush the all the rebels in the republic.
That the UPDF would support SPLA in their endeavours at this point is to be estimated. Especially, when during the last month, President Museveni said he would support SPLA even if the United States would enact an arms embargo. Therefore, the one who keeps the refugees from the South Sudan. Is also a major part in the reason for the refugees. The safe haven, is also the place where the support of military actions is from.
That should be a warning sign, that the SPLM/A-IG would say it isn’t so, is to be expected. That the UPDF without any mandate would counter it too, but every time the UPDF can be a hired gun in a conflict, they will take it. The need for foreign exchange and be used in mercenaries in foreign land, that is okay in the eyes of the President. UPDF are used in Equatorial Guinea, Yemen, Somalia, Central African Republic, sometimes in the Democratic Republic of Congo and possibly after reports now in South Sudan.
The Ugandan army doesn’t come in peace, but to gain monetary funds from conflict. They are doing this as a service to Kiir and his government. Not for the betterment of the Republic, but to secure their war-lord in South Sudan. The friend of Museveni, the man who is loyal to him. That is what matters. Not peace or justice. No, that comes short in this tale of weapons.
So, I am not shocked for the return of the UPDF in Bentiu area. That was expected, because that is how Museveni acts and one of the vital relations of Kiir. Kiir needs the help from Museveni, and Museveni knows this. Time will tell how long they will stay and what sort of manpower they bring this time around. Peace.

I feel I have been here before, as I see the shadow-games are playing behind the scenes and also in-front. The Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission (IEBC), whatever Chairman Wafula Chebukati does now. He will not be able to wash of the grease of his hands. The dirt and dust will hang-on. That he suspended CEO Ezra Chiloba. Just looked like a PR move by the Electoral Body.
Now three fellow Commissioners has resigned, but not notified the Chairman, these was Consolata Nhakta, Paul Krugat and Margaret Mwachanya resigned on the 16th April 2018. We know that Chairman Chebukati, Commissioner Prof. Ayub Guliye and Boya Molu has pissed someone off. Since, they suddenly lost their Security Detail today.
The IEBC has had issues ever since Chickengate and the bribes the Commission back-then took. There wreck of an election in Burundi and so-on. That I have hard time believing the shenanigans from the IEBC is because of how they conducted themselves last year. It isn’t forgotten the tenders agreements for the ballots, the BVR Systems from OT Morpho, the Server directly connected to Cambridge Analytica, the use of Harris Media and so on. The skeletons of the rigging of last year is so vicious. The devastation and the massacre of free and fair elections.
Therefore, I don’t feel sorry for the fate that has befallen the men and woman on the top. That they have resigned and the ones losing their security detail, neither feeling bad for Chiloba. All of these people should answer to Kenyans for what they did and who they did it for. We all know that Jubilee Party and the two leaders on top is responsibility for it all. They are far from innocent, but they did it as ordered. They delivered the results they wanted announced from Bomas.
Whatever, that is playing out, seems more like cleaning show to make it legit for 2022. Make sure the IEBC looks better, like they tried to do before 2017. Even if the Chickgate leadership of Isaack Hassan had to get lost. The same sorts of sins was still within the walls. Chiloba and Chebukati followed the suit of the previous leadership. The difference, is how the leaks has shown how the IEBC has rigged and who they have used as partners.
That the IEBC doesn’t care about their legitimacy and trustworthiness within the public. That is evident by the disgraceful public persona Chebukati has become. The IEBC are acting more as villain, less as a hero. IEBC could have changed ways and even tried to audit itself. Hired someone more believing that KPMG, who has a lousy record even in South Africa. But that doesn’t matter to these fellow people, who are delivering the sanctity of the ballots.
Instead these people are playing games with the Republic. They are trying reconfigure the IEBC for their favors in 2022. They are trying to fix it in their way, so their people is behind the scenes. That is how it seems, like they might make more than 1 % more ballot-papers, they might use other tricks than from Cambridge Analytica. Who knows what sort of foul play they do next to fit the next master. Whatever it is, it won’t be respecting the ballots and the will of the people. They are only there to serve the political elite and the ones who they serve. They are not there for the people. Not the way it look these days.
To say otherwise is to be naive, we should give credit, where credit is due. Here there is no credit or debt and warning signs of default payments. They have not delivered what is promised to the people. To be named independent is the first lie, they are deeply connected to the Jubilee agenda. They are just trying to get away with that. Peace.

“During the homecoming party for International Trade Principal Secretary Chris Kiptoo at Chepkosom Primary School in Uasin Gishu County, Mr Ruto said the ongoing unity talks should benefit citizens not leaders. “Even if we amend the Constitution, it should not be for creation of positions like an executive prime minister,” he said. “Kenyans have the capacity to elect their leaders, not a few of us sitting in corners over a cup of tea and doing the selection.” The remarks come after a meeting between National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga and retired President Daniel arap Moi in Kabarak on Thursday last week” (Wycliff Kipsang – ‘Handshakes not meant for leadership posts: DP Ruto’ 16.04.2018, Daily Nation).
It is ironic, it is special, that someone like Deputy President William Ruto speaks of elections and people electing their leaders. When he has used foreign entities, when the Jubilee has juiced-up the Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission (IEBC) to favor his needs within the two Presidential Elections in 2017. Therefore, he shouldn’t speak about selections of leadership, when he himself is rigged into power. That is throwing stones in a glass-house and he is bad at it.
DP Ruto should fear Odinga, even if Odinga gave-up Canaan. He might fear for the agreement Odinga made with Kibaki back in the day. But DP Ruto and Jubilee has made up roles for Chief Administrative Secretaries. These wasn’t made in the Constitution. So it is okay to amend when it is directly own cronies or political figures into new roles? But when your having partners and leaders from the outside of Jubilee, you cannot alter the Constitution or make provisions to make it work?
Not that Kenya needs an Executive Prime Minister, neither does it need any of the CAS. However, the Jubilee has hired the latter and could for peace sake give Odinga a ceremonial role. Though, it would be a hard time be a Minority Leader in the Senate as a Party and have a Cabinet position. That would mean Orengo would be packing and someone else, which isn’t ODM would become that. Surely, Aden Duale should react to all of this, not only Ruto who fears for the popularity of Odinga.
It is healthy to question it all, as the state shouldn’t get away it all, but neither should Odinga be silent on the matters. That is if he still is an opposition, if not he is totally compromised by the Handshake and the parlay gave way for the regime to do what they like. Ruto seems shaken and frighten… like he is worried about himself. Since he had to use the idea of an election. When he knows what he did to get power last year and should humbly kiss the shoes of Odinga for doing the handshake.
Instead, he does what he usually do, belittle others and trying to weasel himself more power. That is the DP does and has done perfectly well over the years. Now Odinga is the hit-piece again.
Maybe, someone who didn’t use the IEBC to rig himself in, shouldn’t be talking about electing people into leadership. He should be happy with a narrow selection of leadership over a cup of tea. He shouldn’t talk about democratic principals, when they doesn’t measure up, when talking about his own election victory in 2017. Peace.
