USA: EPA Acting Deputy Adminstrator E-Mail – “Agency’s Workforce Shaping through Voluntary Early Retirement and Separation Incentive Payment Authorities (VERA/VSIP) – (01.06.2017)
U.S. House of Rep. Smith’s got the Honest ACT passed, that regulates EPA opportunity to spread information!
“The point of modern propaganda isn’t only to misinform or push an agenda. It is to exhaust your critical thinking, to annihilate truth.” – Garry Kasparov
Welcome to the Banana Republic, the United States of America (USA), the Trump Administration has a new golden child and has to stop the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), that has to be silenced. The EPA under Scott Pruitt. The Environment and Climate Change is lie under the Trump regime, that is myth that the environment gets destroyed or worsen by industry or mineral extraction. Still, they have to make sure that the EPA doesn’t explain the environmental regulations without any scientific evidence. It has to be tested and retested the narratives, as the EPA should not question the need for free release of CO2 or any other damaging gas that can worsen the sky, or the after effects of crude-oil pipelines and the damage of soil in the areas after fracking.
Well, take a look at the Lamar Smith proposal that get through and passed in the U.S. House of Representatives yesterday:
“To prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency from proposing, finalizing, or disseminating regulations or assessments based upon science that is not transparent or reproducible” (…) “The Administrator shall not propose, finalize, or disseminate a covered action unless all scientific and technical information relied on to support such covered action is” (…) “publicly available online in a manner that is sufficient for independent analysis and substantial reproduction of research results, except that any personally identifiable information, trade secrets, or commercial or financial information obtained from a person and privileged or confidential, shall be redacted prior to public availability” (H.R. 1430, 2017).
Representative Lamar Smith the man behind the bill, who has a magical fascination with silencing and stopping the EPA, as he is from San Antonio, Texas and Republican, surely if somebody would have remembered what sort of greatness, he showed in February:
“On Tuesday, Smith held a hearing titled “Making the E.P.A. Great Again.” From the list of witnesses, it was clear that Smith was not, however, interested in improving the E.P.A.—in fact, just the reverse. One of the witnesses was a lobbyist for the coal industry, another a lobbyist for the chemical industry. In a display of hypocrisy so blatant it could have been hilarious, but wasn’t, Smith used his opening statement to rail against “conflicts of interest” at the E.P.A. The agency, he complained, depended on the expertise of scientists to whom it sometimes also awards research grants. His proposed solution to this problem? To stack the E.P.A.’s science advisory board with scientists who work for regulated industries” (Kolbert, 2017).
So Rep. Smith has no issues listening to the Coal, Chemical and Oil industry, if it benefits them at a U.S. House hearing on making EPA great again, like the ones who wants to pollute and drop hazard into the environment for a buck is the ones to listen to. Shows the lack of thinking and integrity that is in the Washington D.C. right now and is accepted by the Trump Administration. Where the businesses are more important nature and the future, where the kids of Trump has to live in wasteland and in narrow future of damaged rivers, creeks and polluted air.
The donors for the 2015-2016 Campaign for the U.S. House Representative for Texas and parts of Committee for Science, Space and Technology, those we’re $95,050 from Oil and Gas, either as PACs or individuals, other important donors for the campaign of Smith we’re Nustar Energy, AT&T, Boeing Co., Koch Industries and Marathon Petroleum (Check Opensecrets.org).
So, the man who has massive support for his elections and campaigns was supported through business who needs to extract their resources and has to pollute to do so. It could seem that they scratched an itch for the Representative and when he was elected he scratched an itch for them. Instead of direct brown envelopes directly into the pocket of the representative, they paid for his campaign and his viable campaign in Texas.
Now that he has a place on the Committee for Science, Space and Technology, there he can change legislation that fits Nustar, AT&T, Boeing Co., Koch Industries and Marathon Petroleum, as they will not have any sort of information that cannot be verified by generous study. They have been silenced and cannot question climate change or even the implication of pollution or environmental damages by industry, as the Honest ACT, who is made to stop certain information from getting into public.
So it it good to know that the EPA sentiment is old:
“But I don’t know whether Americans want the EPA and Congress to be honest. You say, “What do you mean, Williams?” There are numerous laws, restrictions and regulations based upon the EPA’s fraudulent report on secondhand tobacco smoke. How many Americans do you think would say, “Hey, now that we know that EPA 1992 report was a fraud, let’s repeal all those laws and regulations based upon it”? I’m guessing most would say, “I don’t like the smell of cigarettes and if it takes government fraud and duping the public to get rid of it, so be it.” (Williams, 1999).
So there are surely many who has hard feelings against the EPA and their practices, but they should still wonder if it is wise to stop the EPA. They might get wealth to buy cars, but nature is not something that returns after you have used it and extracted the minerals. There are so many places destroyed by industry and not habitable, so much touched nature that will not come back after oil industry and other industry has used their tools. Together with the knowledge of pollution, there are invisible particles that might hurt mother nature on the long run, but that doesn’t Scott Pruitt, Donald Trump or Lamar Smith. Peace.

Opinion: Eric Trump are right, under the Trump Administration, the US is becoming a “Third World State”!
“It’s really sad that we’re in an environment where tax returns are leaked by whoever it may be” (…) “Just think about it. Think about how dangerous that is, how third world that is on a practice that happened. When personal information is put out by people for political agendas. As a civilian, it’s actually scary” – Eric Trump on Fox News (Tani, 2017).
It is just one of these days where the sons of President Donald Trump speaks their mind and hits the nail. The nail is in the coffin, with the knowledge of the plans to make the republic less attractive, less business-friendly, more lassiez-faire and more focused on army than on progressive financial instruments and regulation to create growth. Trump Administration is busy with deporting millions, building a wall and starting trade-wars. The U.S. Government does not need to be transparent or accountable while doing so. Especially, not in the minds of one of his sons. That claims something unique and special. I have claimed in the near past that under President Trump, the U.S. Government could turn the Republic into a Banana Republic, a sort of style government that could be described by others as a third world one. Therefore, let the dictionary explain that!
Eric Trump needs a definition of the Third World:
“1: a group of nations especially in Africa and Asia not aligned with either the Communist or the non-Communist blocs” (…) “2: an aggregate of minority groups within a larger predominant culture” (…) “3: the aggregate of the underdeveloped nations of the world” (Merriam-Webster).
So the United States can itself soon be fitted, not that it is an Asian or African nation, neither Communist, but still it is getting underdeveloped by the way the financial framework and industry is set-up under the Trump Administration. Where the Industry and Financial industry has the Administration by the balls and no eager of taking care of nature or the resources, except for eating the profits without giving anything back to the Republic. Just like the Oil Industry in Nigeria or in Ghana. The same as the mining and mineral industry in the Democratic Republic of Congo. So the United States under President Trump, will be similar. Eric Trump is not so far off, just not the way he thought he would be.
Another man’s vision:
“This brings about complete dysfunction. It makes everything — economy, politics, roads, bridges, police, school — broken and shitty. Those who can leave do. Making it worse. This leads to more extremism, and more corruption, and more cynicism. And sometimes extreme violence. Because the other side becomes evil” (…) “The US has been shifting towards all four of these over the last 30 years, with inequality leading the way. We are more divided, economically and socially, then we have ever been (we are less divided racially. But only marginally so.)” (Arnade, 2016).
So when you have a system on the brink of collapse, a wealthy elite eating of the government plate and settling score to not pay their bills to the public, while the citizens and middle-class cannot build a steady life or afforded needed services, you know there are something wrong with the system and the state. That makes the Eric Trump words so right, that United States is becoming more like a third world country, with a sophisticated army, but cannot afford health care, schools or infrastructure. Just like the countries President Trump doesn’t want to affiliate with or been seen with. Since him and his advisor Bannon are supposed to be superior, and like a dictator in a Third World country, he believes he is always right and isn’t wrong.
So one smudge of evidence of his fathers Tax Returns from 2005 leaked to MSNBC Rachel Maddow, proves the realization of the state, that the Trump Administration would dislike. As they are not capping the debt, neither taking into account their ideas of taxation and tax-releases, as much as their will to deregularte industry and financial institutions. Therefore, leading the space of more expenses and negative environmental policies, that damage earth and only gains profit for a slim elite. Just like a Third World Country.
This is degrading for the United States, but the harsh truth, the ideas and policies in the making, the killing of health insurance, the idea of building the giant nuclear silos, while not paying for food for the starving. Proves that the U.S. Government are no closer to countries it does not want to be affiliated with, but still can be consider to be assimilated with. President Trump and his administration is clearly not wishing to be differing from chauvinistically taking charge and not caring what effect it has. Clearly, it is only his image that matter, just like any big-man and authoritarian leader.
So, soon we can say that the United States is underdeveloped and need aid, as their waters are daft, the industry is lacking technology, the roads are more potholes than tarmac, the bridges are weak, their railways not working and often not trusted. The United States has soon more expensive foreign imported goods, than what they produce and is losing money on their export of cash crops as soya and other grain. Therefore, President Trump leading his Republic to become underdeveloped or become a Third World Country.

Trout Unlimited President and CEO Chris Wood responds to President Trump’s Executive Order Rescinding the Clean Water Rule (28.02.2017)
U.S. Republicans are now putting forward a law to terminate the EPA by 2018; because the Republicans want to pollute without consequence!
The Republicans under the Trump Administration are going all in. Their ideas are the wet-dream for Conservative Party, which wants to transform the laisses-faire, industrial wonderland, where waste, industrial waste and low-taxes can go side by side. The green-gases only belong in fairy-tales and in sagas of the liberals.
Therefore Republican representative Matt Gaetz from Florida is the sponsor of the bill; his co-Sponsors the Republican representatives are Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Steven M. Palazo of Mississippi and Barry Loudermilk of Georgia.
The Republicans doesn’t care about toxins in water or water-taps, therefore if Detroit or Flint Michigan is dangerous, it doesn’t’ matter, because this people should afford their own tap-water, not buy licenced water from the state. If they had wealth they should have dig for wells in their gardens and in the public housing, instead of trusting the state with deliverance in the modern age after the millennium. That is too much to upon the Republic Party.
The other reasons are for the diligent work of Environmental Protection Agency, when it comes to fracking and regulating of the gasses into the water, has been tormenting the agency, as they have backpedalled and their own internal document have proved differently from the study they delivered the public. The Pro-Fracking lobbyist has sometimes even persuaded the EPA to change their stance, as the real reports if their internal documents of 2015 where right. That all parts of fracking could cause all sorts of toxins, in waste-water, in the dirt and the nearby-taps; something the Republicans of our day doesn’t want to hear.
However, EPA could also have intervened in the building petroleum pipelines like Keystone XL and Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). Where the reports could shadow the fact that pipes usually leaks and this could damage import forests and rivers through a dozens of states. The state could be seen with possibility of putting sanctions on the reopening of coal-mines and their waste in various states.
The EPA tried to keep regulatory actions on stuff like the Clean Care Act of 1990. Where the value of different toxins in the air if the Republicans would get their will would be doubled from 2010 to 2020; this values would for instances be Mortality Ozone values from 4300 to 7100. For instance Asthma Exacerbation in 2010 be 1,700,000 and in 2020 become 2,400,000. This proves how little they care for the environment, as long as it gives fortunes for the people who run the companies.
The financial industry and industry itself wants to earn cash and massive profits without care of environment, diseases or any sort of spill. Therefore the Republicans who are in the pockets of big-oil, big-tobacco or Wall Street don’t need the EPA. So with this in mind the Republicans are now not only silencing the EPA and wanting to edit their studies and reports on climate change, which in the mind of President Trump is a hoax.
The 4 representatives are doing the business, the industry a favour, but not Mother Nature or the ones living in it. They want to make sure the ones creating waste-lands and all the pollution as the polluters are free men without any charges. The Industry and the ones extracting resources don’t have to fear the state or government bodies, as they might not even exist. They don’t need to force their jobs into regulations that are costly as they can just drill, extract or even use the worst methods to get the gases, petroleum or coal.
Certainly, the Republicans when they have raised the water-levels above the 51st street of Manhattan, when they have destroyed the lakes and rivers of Middle-America. Than the riches can move to Liechtenstein with the rest of the Alt-Right Banonesque government official existing! Peace.
Andrew Mwenda’s flawed logic; He claims that Mzee is not the problem with Uganda; I beg to differ
Andrew Mwenda keeps with his flawed logic. Like he has lost the plot and forgotten his traits and his theories of old. But hey, he is hungry and wants to eat. Here is has ploy of arrogance on facebook:
“It is simplistic to argue that Uganda’s problem is Museveni. A better argument is Museveni has failed to solve the problems of Uganda” (…)”Museveni (with Besigye) once told us that getting rid of Obote would be a major step in improving anything. What happened?” (…)”Besigye’s weakness is to personalize Uganda’s problems to Museveni and argue that his removal is all we need. The problems of poverty, weak state, poor Government services and democracy deficit were there before Museveni” (…)“If we fail to diagnose Uganda’s problems, the solutions will always elude us” (Andrew Mwenda, 17.01.2016)
Well, in sum there has gone 29 years of the one-man rule since 1986. There have been many benefactors and Members of Parliament since them, but the main factor in the calculations have been President Museveni. Since he took rule he has marginalized or used tactics to get people loyal to Museveni and not directly to any state institution. Therefore he is a major problem, because if it didn’t really happen, then he didn’t sponsor the benedictional project or program. Museveni could only support a program if he could benefit from it.
That Mwenda has a problem with Besigye is that he is in stark contrast to Museveni. Besigye asks for accountability and transparency something that doesn’t fit the world of development and growth for the editor and creator of the Independent Magazine. Something that is weird considering his past at KFM Radio and trouble for blasting governmental cronyism.
It is true that Museveni isn’t the only problem, but he is the one that creates the problem and feeds the issues, instead of fixing them. He doesn’t mend or complement them. Instead he adds on the weight until he overpowers it; because he has to do what he can rule and control it. Therefore he is the problem, as he is the executive power and the man who has had the majority rule or even rigged himself the majority. So Mwenda must have forgotten that part of the issue, if not he is blind by his own ego.
It is true that all the issues that Mwenda mentioned in the government of Uganda as the bad governance, weak state-institutions and democratic deficit. This was inherited in 1986 from the Obote II and the short-term presidents in between like Yusuf Lule and Tito Okello. So there aren’t all Museveni faults, but he has had the time to fix many of the issues and defects in the governmental structures and democratic facilitation if he really cared about them. It is not like he was sitting for a hot minute and didn’t have the time to fix the corruption of UNRA, NSSF and other state-organizations.
When you see excellent record of higher and higher loan-rate on the government budget for any year, when the value of the currency falls and escalating inflations you can wonder if the government and economical institutions under the regime is for the people or the rich elite who is fed by the government. The Neo-Liberalization of Uganda has lead the government to expand the businesses into every part of society instead of governmental control as the Chicago School of Business wanted in 1970s, with the IMF and World Bank controlled Structural Adjustment Programs (SAP) that demolished state-financed agricultural and subsidized industries that was supposed to be controlled by market-powers instead of supported by tax-money to sustain growth and higher employment rate. The result of inflicting this on the Ugandan economy as the NRM-Regime has done with such a passion is that the business that has no cut for the government has been left astray and the ones that is not strong enough has gone bankrupt. Now Uganda has to imports of finished products and stop of productions from industry and factories in former towns like Jinja. Also with the historical institution of the Uganda Development Corporations, who from the 1950s gave growth through state-funds, and not through direct market power!
That must have been forgotten by the Andrew Mwenda, that President Museveni sold everything to foreigners or liberated the economy to point that the URA can’t tax, or control to tax without losing the control over the sold merchandise. That is why Uganda has one of the lowest rates of taxation on products since the URA doesn’t have the manpower or the regulations to without taxes. They can’t keep up with citizens and movement of money, if they had then they might catch up with more of the embezzlement and corrupted agreements between liberated companies or new structures in the market own by the ruling elite. But that is not good is it? Send cases to the DPP and OAG to fix the matters together with Uganda Anti-Corruption Commission which is so meager that they can’t keep the state of affairs and make government institution accountable, something that President Museveni doesn’t really want them to do, unless he want to get rid of somebody who has the dream of succeeding him. Then they will find something on the man or woman show some of the dirty laundry.
You don’t need to be giant man with much knowledge to diagnose some of the issues that the government of Uganda has to tackle, some the state of affairs and some tangible structures that need to be fixed. The government needs taxation with representation, also need to re-focus the money and also be more accountable for their actions. Not have a one-big-man rule as they have had since 1986 that keeps to eating of the plate, instead of serving the people. That is a problem: a problem that knows that he is the problem, if he stills remember what he studied in the end of 1960s and beginning of 1970 at the University of Dar-Es-Salam in Tanzania. President Museveni should know the issues and know how he made them, or prepared them through his loyal cronies. As Andrew Mwenda seems more like one of his mouth-pieces more as the time goes, instead of pseudo-intellectual as he wishes to portray himself.
This is a direct address to the issue, as he can try to clean his slate, but he has lost the plot. The problem and the real man behind it is President Museveni is only leader and nearly the only one who has been there from the get-go and have ruled so long that he know what has been done differently than under his wings. The reign will not be remembered as the ones who follow the dream story of liberation, but also of eating the riches and wealth while forgetting to feed the public, or let the get opportunity to eat and earn a living.
So Mwenda has a flawed view on the matter, that he at the same time says Besigye is wrong. Besigye has also said that the institutions need accountability and transparency which is starch contrast to Museveni. Something that is vital to rebuild them and prove that the government institutions are for the people and not the Executive to eat of. So if that have to change then the public funds and public expenditure together with strengthen them, not in ownership of the executive but by giving the civil servants power to execute the necessary flows of technical assistance or regulations to let the teachers, policemen, judges and bureaucrats to do their initial service to the public; now they are handpicked men to serve the executive. That is problem because the paycheck from the executive is more important than doing their job to the public who need the men to secure their daily life and be there to safely govern the territories of the state.
As we can see Mwenda has judged the matter very easy without thinking it through, if he has then his logic is very flawed as President Museveni is a problem in state clogged with issues and the problems. There isn’t a way solution to it all, how to fix the economy is there many theories, though the stability of the currency and inflation should be the first, also secure low loans-rate so that the growth can be similar to the inflation rate. There is also the level of building trust between government institutions and people as they are supposed to be connected and for each other. Not letting the state and its institutions being on an island, and when they need the public hire a ferry to let the visit. That is not the idea of the state, the state is supposed to be mirrored in the people with transparency and accountability where the public can question the behavior of the rulers, governors and mayors, as they are set to represent the public, not just execute the laws and regulations without mercy, then the government is an totalitarian state, where justice will not prevail unless you are on good term with the head or executive power on the top. That is how the system is now with government of Uganda. We can easily see that he is one of the major factors, why President Museveni is the elephant in the room when you discuss progress and development issues in the country, since he can decide where to go or who to hire to fix it.
That is it. Peace.
How Mzee pledge to fix the problems in every campaign rally; as he has done since 1986; nothing new just polished pledges
The issue is here, I don’t have to be to specific about the campaign promises from Mzee. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his National Resistance Movement have their own way of repeating themselves. YKM or Mzee have the class-act of a tiring Tata model. You know what he going to promise.
He will promise new roads from the central towns in the area and towards other main centers under 50 kilometers away. They will be tarmacked and built in the next period. If there is harbor or forest nearby him will help investment and build a paper-mill or functioning industry fitting the area. The same happens in other areas where it is more fitting for metal-industry, tea-factory or a sugar-factory. To prove that NRM will get jobs to the areas finally after 29 years of reign.
Mzee does not only promise industry and infrastructure. That would not be to fun. He will promise after 29 years to fix or build health-care facilities in every district or furnish them. This while his police force will close them down when the opposition passes by, he fears that they can actually see the #SteadyProgress on the matter.
Mzee will also promise the use of NAADs money. For those who don’t know – NAADS is short for: National Agricultural Advisory Services. NAADS funds are to set up functions to use cash crops and educate the Ugandan small plot farmers into profitable produce. He will promise more of this and offer specific funds for a set of fixed funds that are for one group of people in the district like Micro-Finance for hard-working woman in Busia. They are promised extra millions if they vote for you.
Mzee will promise the youth more work not industrial, but in general without saying the solution to the matter. You will point out the #SteadyProgress and the greatest program ever since the Ten-Point Program – Operation Wealth Creation; where you have made a few small steps and funds to fix the issues of poverty. And you promise that more people in that district will be included into the Wealth Creation scheme and have district youth being supported through it.
Mzee will promise more security and ask the people of the district to be grateful for the decent performance of the NRM on this point. That they will continue to serve the districts and the public, both the army and police will only be there for them if they promise to vote for him and NRM, because nobody else keeps them cool.
Mzee will promise the district and the people school equipment and have a technical school in every district. So that he can prove that he takes the education of the children of the country seriously. As they will be promised to get schoolbooks and notebooks for their studies!
Mzee will promise more districts and sub-counties to secure loyalty and in the end more government funds to support these new districts and hire more loyal people in the area in a new functioning of the movement-program of the 1980s (the last piece is just refreshing the memories of the voters).
Mzee will again promise to become a middle-income country and earn enough on its own. So that the country will go into a new term and make sure to the steady progress started in 1986; that he have to continue because he couldn’t finish it last term since he have all the time worked to secure peace in the country fighting ADF and LRA an such instead of building the land. But now that they are fought back he can now promise to secure the country and become a middle-income country.
I think that is enough of him for now. There will be more since he is still the President of Uganda. Running the country and using the government institutions against the opposition as done so systematically. There will be more things to come, but I hope that the people and voters don’t buy into these promises. It is 29 years of the same kind of promises and respectably we can see that Mzee haven’t kept the promises of old, why should he keep the new ones now?
Peace.

Sixth day of Presidential rallies in Uganda + JEEMA statement and more on NRM Primaries
This is one of those days. This is really not important because of all the lost lives in the terrorist attacks in Paris, France. We all have heard about those terrible events. But my sources keep feeding me material and I am humbly dropping it. The trail continues and here are the reports, there is still more to come since the rallies are continuing. So the feeds of that hopefully will serve you well on the Daily Monitor or something. New Vision will only show the beautiful sides of NRM. Get some balanced covering brother and sisters. Take a look!
Quote of the Day:
“Mbabazi says he was not in charge? JPAM got money for Northern Uganda, but he instead got a new Benz” – Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda
FDC – Rakai County rallies:
The FDC Team and the People’s President Dr. Kizza-Besigye are Rakai. They will be in Kakuto, Kyoteta, Rakai Town and other area. We are taking Power to the People. Kigwa Leero.
Besigye in Rakai today: “It’s not going to be business as usual”
NRM has rallies in Pakwach.
Message from NRM and YKM on the rallies today;
“I will wrap-up my campaign in Lango region today, thereafter move to West Nile starting with Jonam and Padyere counties in Nebbi District”.
Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on the NRM Primaries:
“The problem is that we have careerism instead of mission centered leadership”

Abed Bwanika is having rally in Wakiso.
TIC Candidates:
Maureen Faith Kayala and Elton Joseph Mabirizi travels and rallies in Busia.
TIC Statement today:
MUSEVENI HAS ALREADY LOST THE 2016 ELECTIONS
Museveni lost this election the day he declared himself sole candidate in Kyankwanzi. The opposition won this election the day they fielded two fellow very strong and organised bush war heroes Amana Mbabazi and Kizza Besigye. Amama has ripped the NRM into two equal parts and added a significant DP Buganda and northern vote.
Besigye has consolidated his party’s support, the “hard core pro-change opposition support” prepared it for defiance, and has committed allies in the new opposition formations like The Independent Coalition TIC led by Joseph Mabirizi. These two streams; (Amama part- NRM – part DP) and FDC -TIC will converge at some point before election day – don’t worry.
Museveni’s political end will come when he tries to declare himself winner of the 2016 elections.
It is common sense. If the NRM is now split into two, where can Museveni get 50% + one vote to be able to win? Recall also that of the so called 11 million NRM voters on the NRM register, only 3.0 million voted in the recent primaries.
President Museveni should only be re-assured that he will be safe in his retirement.
Next up:
Gen. Benon Biraaro is unknown destination for the day.
Side-Note – NRM Primaries malfunctions:
NRM EC orders fresh Mbale Municipality mayoral primaries due to ‘anomalies that marred the previous exercise. The NRM electoral commission has set Monday November 16 for Mbale NRM mayor elections.
Side-Note – NRM Primaries malfunctions II – Dr. Tanga Odoi:
“The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Chairman Electoral Commission, Dr. TangaOdoi has admitted that party elections district registrars and returning officers were involved in malpractice which led to cancellation of results in some areas” (…)”Speaking to the media at the party’s EC offices in Kampala, Dr. Tanga revealed that on a total of over 1200 petitions that were received after the party primaries, the commission has so far handled 500 while 300 have been handled by the team of lawyers that was set up recently” (…)“Some of the petitions that have been handled by EC are those where members were complaining about the conduct of our district registrars and the way elections were conducted,” Tanga said” (…)”He further revealed that the party has commenced conducting residual elections for those election areas that for one reason or another did not participate in the election of the recently concluded party primaries for the positions of District Woman MP, Constituency MP, LC V Chairperson and Lord Mayor”.
Side-note 3 – Parts of recent JEEMA Statement:
“JEEMA and our candidate of thoughtful choice Mr Mbabazi do not believe in political patronage. We believe in a one and the same economic empowerment of citizens. In fact, Mr Mbabazi testifies, for a long time to have advised Mr Museveni on this but in vain. We thus, together are for total economic liberation for all citizens” (…)”This is what practically candidate Museveni ought to have done over the last thirty years before focusing on the service industry. Unfortunately we had in place a well focused political regime only pre-occupied with survival instincts that include rendering the citizenry into economic limbo. In the new economic order, the nation will wake up to: Massive jobs to our youth in the countryside and a drastically reduced congestion in the only city a 52-year independent Uganda has” (…)”Thus far, JEEMA registers our deep gratitude to the international community’s first ever visible involvement in this electoral process. We also acknowledge the efforts of Mr Mbabazi in luring them—one of the reasons that informed JEEMA’s decision to back him” (…)”While we appreciate the increasing support rendered by JEEMA members and the general public toward Mr Mbabazi’s candidature, we urge you all to use your individual influence and build up the mobilization effort in favour of a legitimate cause of change that Mr Mbabazi represents. We are proud of you” (…)”FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY.”.
