IGAD: A Revised Bridging Proposal On the Outstanding Issues Pertaining to Governance and Security Arrangements in the High Level Revitalization Forum of the Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan (12.06.2018)

The Ethiopia’s government lead by the new PM has yesterday released eight some of key ONLF’s political leaders and officers, whose freedom it deprived years ago. These leaders were part of thousands of Ogaden Somalis detained whilst fighting the right of their people to self-determination. These heroes paid an ultimate price for their people as they languish for a period of time in various substandard detention centres under torture and the other appalling conditions. Their selfilsess sacrifices for their people won’t be forgotten for generations to come.
Although releasing them is a positive step in the right direction, still millions of Somali people are in open prison while, thousands are languishing in both official and undisclosed detention centres in Ogaden. Around two thousand who were released recently from the infamous jail Ogaden, were sent to quasi-slave labour camp under the disguise of rehabilitating them and forced to till land taken from the local people along the Shabelle river. The ONLF advises that the new Ethiopain government lead by Dr Abiy Ahmend speeds up the release of all prisoners of conscious whose freedom is denied; and stop any further abuses in Ogaden and Ethiopia.
Furthermore, the ONLF believes that as a new leader, the new prime minister has an opportunity to turn a new chapter by genuinely and seriously addressing the core issues that are the source of conflict and inestimable suffering that befell all corners of Horn of Africa with Ogaden and Eritrea as the Epicentre since the Second World War.
The only means through winch genuine and sustainable peace and security could be achieved is by mathematically recognising the rights of all nations to unfettered self-determination and genuine democracy in the Ethiopian Empire state. Moreover, the Ethiopian state must change the culture of violence in dealing with genuine demands of all peoples under its rule and its neighbours.
The ONLF is always open to genuine dialogue that is based on mutual respect and principled negotiation that adheres to internationally accepted norms and genuine desire to reach a win -win solution which is meant to seriously address the rightful demands of the Somali people in Ogaden, instead of attempting to achieve quick fixes for a problem that existed for almost a century, where many lives were lost on all sides.
Finally, the ONLF strongly believes that the multi-faceted conflict in Ethiopia only can be solved through the genuine participation of all stakeholders and that none shall be left out, including neighbouring countries that are affected. Similarly, if the International community involvement is to bear positive results, it must engage all stakeholders, instead of conveniently being selective and ignoring the multitude who bears the cost of the perennial conflict in Ethiopia
Ogaden shall be free. The Ethiopian people shall Genuine Democracy and peace.
Issued by ONLF

The Tigray People’s Liberation Front has retaliated towards the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Defence Front (EPRDF) Executive Council and their wanting to respect the Algiers Agreement with the Eritrean brothers on their borders and the territory squabble. That has lasted and is why the two parties have been fighting over territory. The TPLF are really ruling the show and shown that over time, but isn’t accepting the provisions of the Executive Committee, that means the possible points from there is pointless. The TPLF and the Tigrai clearly want to have total control. They are not accepting that others are making decisions and changing the possible future. That is why these news are coming and in the future.
The TPLF are clearly reacting quickly, as this happen in the beginning of June and now in Mid-June in the first meeting of the TPLF, they are retaliating to the decisions made. The EPRDF will be guided by the TPLF, therefore, these results will be final. As they are not accepting anyone else. The Woyane has usually gotten their will in the coalition, as they have the major positions, while the other has technical and more soft places in the hierarchy.
From FANA BC:
“Addis Ababa, June 14, 2018 (FBC) – The Central Committee of the Tigray People’s Libration Font (TPLF) concluded its emergency meeting yesterday. The three-day meeting held 10-15 June, 2018 mainly deliberated on the recent decision of Executive Committee of the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF). In its meeting last week, the Executive Committee decided to accept and implement the Algiers Agreement and privatize state-owned enterprises. In a statement issued yesterday, the Front said that it accepts both decisions taken by the Executive Committee. However, it said, precautions should be made in the implementations of the decisions. It further said the move lacks completeness since both decisions were taken without the consultation of the EPRDF Council and affiliate parties. TPLF finally called for urgent meeting of EPRDF’s Executive Committee and Council to look into and evaluate current affairs” (FANA Broadcasting Company- ‘TPLF concludes emergency meeting’, 14.06.2018).
From Tigrai Online:
“If the current EPRDF government is contemplating to surrender the disputed Ethiopian territories which are part of the Tigrai State, it will lose more than a few patches of lands, it will be digging its own grave as a political party in Ethiopia. First the people will not allow such treasonous action to take place. Second any uncalculated hasty decision will create a huge rift among member parties. EPRDF might even split in two or more groups permanently and that would be a disaster for the party and the country” (Tigrai Online – ‘EPRDF Executive Committee decision regarding the Algiers agreement rejected by majority Ethiopians’ 14.06.2018).
This here shows the problem in the Ethiopian politics at the moment. The power of the TPLF and how they are seemingly controlling the EPRDF and the ethnic politics in Ethiopia. This here is taking it to a tee. The battle of supremacy shouldn’t need to be there, as the TPLF should be a part of the whole nation to work for progress and development. They should co-operate with all the other political groups and make good solutions for Ethiopia. Instead, they are preoccupied with controlling the political scene and the nation itself.
That is why the TPLF decision to scrap the Executive Committee agreements and the plans ahead. Proves that the Prime Minister is being stopped from progression. The TPLF don’t want to move forward. But continue to have the total control. Peace.

It is clear after CEO Ezra Chiloba yesterday was reinstated and won the court case, he could get his job back. However, Chairman Wafula Chebukati did suspend Chiloba again. This is a ploy to keep himself on top, while damaging Chiloba. It is a very simple game. They are not fixing the issues within the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) instead they are fitting the blame on one by one.
That is ancient political game, which Chebukati is doing as much as he can. Since most of the key advisors and Commissioners fled the scene in 2017. The ones that was in on it is gone. They have done it because they cannot stomach the issues and the rigging. That is clear by the ones fleeing and showing the internal memos from the elections last year.
Therefore, Chebukati should be more careful, but in the Handshake era, he knows he can get away with it. He will not loose and that is evident by his actions. Wafula would act differently if it would cost him or his honour. But at this stage he will get away with it.
There is nothing showing signs of change or progress, neither any signs of retribution or even care from the Jubilee. Who had ordered the showdown and the elections to secure a second term for Kenyatta! That is why they just let it be and go-on like nothing has happen.
The IEBC is playing the public for fools blaming Chiloba. Yes, Chiloba did a lot and has done lots of damage. That has been evident, however, the whole IEBC has orchestrated it and all are to blame. Not just Chiloba, he is the fall guy as we speak. Nevertheless, the other commissioners and the Chairman knows perfectly well, what went down. He is just using Chiloba as a pawn and a useful one as that.
So don’t get caught in the hype, thinking that Chebukati does this out of concern of IEBC. He does this out of concern of his own job and not wanting to lose the title. Even as he himself has done major parts of the rigging and the electioneering in favour of Kenyatta. We all know that, he is just acting as if we don’t.
The naïve might eat the crap, but I beg to differ. Because I won’t be played by shadow games. Especially when I see them from afar. Peace.

“REPRIEVE FOR IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba as court directs that he resume work pending determination of case he filed after he was suspended” (Nation Breaking News, 14.06.2018).
After the failed attempt to cover-up their mistakes and the rigging in 2017. CEO Ezra Chiloba has been the fall guy of the whole Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission (IEBC). Everyone with a working mind knows the numbers was juiced up in the Fresh Presidential Elections and also in the first round of 2017. That is well-known and denying it is only fools at play. Even if the Supreme Court validated it, that because the case made for the court wasn’t any good the second round.
Therefore, the IEBC who has had major commissioners fleeing the scene, as they don’t want to associate or be apart of the rigging affair. As the dubious attempts to create legitimacy for the second term of Uhuru Kenyatta was under way. Where all parts from ballots, BVR Machines, Digital Transmission of Results to even the Safaricom blunders. Everything that was questionable, could be questioned without any concern of malice. Since the IEBC did a shady job and the high ranking officials didn’t deny it either. As the Internal Memo’s was released showing more breaches and questionable behaviour.
That Chiloba get back his job after a Court Order isn’t surprising. It is surprising that it took this long. But that is good tactic, as so many forget the grievances of last year. That was mid-2017 and late-2017, now we are mid-2018. The Handshake has already squashed the beef and made sure the Jubilee can survive without too much interference for another day.
Chiloba seems to survive again. That is because of indifference and the heartache. This is because of the nature of affairs. As the corruption scandals and the other fresher evident of theft is more dire, than the previous affairs of electioneering effort to keep the President.
That is why Cambridge Analytica/IEBC Server connection, the whole charade of an election and the questionable results, the lack of voter turnout verifications and the shady voter-rolls, as well as the breaches of trust between BVR Company OT-Morpho/Safran is there. Because the Chiloba aftermath never has been solved.
Chiloba seems to get another life. But it is not because he is good or cares about his job. It is more that he serves a purpose for the regime. That is it. Now that the months and days has gone. The Jubilee, Ruto and Kenyatta hopes that the people have forgotten. Now more preoccupied with the current scandals of the day. The open day looting of state reserves. That is the end-game of a illegitimate regime. They don’t have to answer to anyone. Except for the computer generated bots that elected them. Peace.

If you ever wondered why I am never shocked by bribes, graft or grand corruption scandals in Kenya. That is because that is Modus Operandi of the Jubilee government. It is their bread and butter, it is the beer for the alcoholics. Nothing of that is shocking, it is expected. That the State Enterprises, the National Budgets and the other parts of government is used by the civil servants, the appointed leadership and the cabinet itself to enrich themselves. That is done instead of delivering services and government policies to the public. This is thieving and stealing from the public and what they are supposed to get from the government.
Here is the key part of the article in quote, where the stat comes from:
“Interior PS Karanja Kibicho has admitted in a sworn affidavit that corruption in Kenya has grown by a massive 240 per cent over the past five years. In the affidavit dated June 8, the PS listed a number of corruption cases that cost tax payers billions of shillings as a result of flawed procurement processes alone since the Jubilee administration took office in 2013.The affidavit is in response to a decision by the Employment and Labour Relations court to set aside government’s decision to suspend all heads of procurement and accounting units in ministries, departments, agencies and state corporations” (Wanjala, 2018).
The number Kibicho is witnessing to the Court is worrying that means that it has more than doubled, it is nearly 2,5 times higher than in 2013. If that isn’t a horrific escalation of misuse, maladministration and of corrupt behavior. Then nothing is and this is really, really making things worse. It is systemic and epidemic. The Jubilee is misusing their power to enrich themselves. Kenyatta and Ruto knows this, the whole State House and everyone in Parliament is in on it. They are scheming differently to ensure their ill-gained goods and services, instead of serving the public. All of them are a part of it and making sure it continues. This isn’t just NYS Scandal 1.0 and 2.0, but it is all the rest. This is every single part of government and every State Enterprise. Every single one of them are doing it and partly part of the growing corruption scandals. The root is rotten and the state is filled with people taking advantage of the situation.
The way to redeem it is to rebuild and make sure there is a legitimate government, a government representing the people, as they wished, not a computer generated President and his cabinet. This is a government created with forgery and faking PR Stunts, which borrows, steals and are indifferent to the public needs. The next generation will pay the cost for this thieving of public resources. This is sad and terrifying.
That Kenyatta and Ruto doesn’t care is evident as they are busy eating. Eating today and tomorrow. There is no return. No return from this, unless people actually acts towards their government and asks them for redemption. They are taken for granted and are misused on a daily basis. That is what the State House and government does to them. Get wealth on being in public office and spending time getting rich. Not building state institutions or better delivery of state services to the public. Peace.
