NRM Kyankwanzi – Resolution (17.03.2019)

WFP stops distributing blended food in Uganda as people fall sick in Karamoja (16.03.2019)

The Miseducation of Jajja!

Do not support the opposition…They want to take you into riots which is dangerous and wastage of your time. They want you to riot but what if you die from there? That Bobie Wine is a singer, leadership issues are not about music”Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to Kampala Youth Delegation at the State House on the 14th March 2019

Well, a man whose overstayed his welcome, a man whose has gone back on all his words and pledges. Who is a self-serving, self-styled for life dictator should be careful about addressing, whose a leader or not. Because, he is not leading as much as it is micro-managing, being a walking ATM or even indirectly directing things. His not guiding, his not inspiring or even creating a new generation of leadership.

If he had been so great in leadership or with creating institutions or organizations, been a statesman of sorts. Than, this President would have been gone from office and one of his successors would have taken-off and become even greater than him. It isn’t leadership to linger long, especially not buy fear, intimidation and direct forceful attempts to silence the opposition. If the President was so great and had a good message and leadership, he wouldn’t need the usage of the police and military to silence and stop the opposition from campaigning. Alas, that is not the case. That is who this President is.

Museveni, have little proof of greatness or even good leadership. The President knows how to wreck the economy, hurt the public and takes to arms if he feels challenged. If not use the laws, restrict and silence the ones who stands up to him. While people are supposed to kiss his behind, they are supposed to be obliged and be grateful to be in his presence. Therefore, he should be praised, while not really delivering.

If the President was a great leader, he would have known when his time was up, he would have groomed a successor to steady the ship and continue to pursuit the Ten Point Programme. He would have ensured the state infrastructure, the state owned enterprises and secured the financial foundation. Not borrowed like no tomorrow, paid of cronies, created a giant entourage of a patronage and supreme clientele politicians, whose all depreciating the state and its functions. Alas, that is what he has done to the T and to perfection.

If Museveni acted like his words. He wouldn’t be today at the State House. There would be someone he groomed there and resided there. Which would have benefited not only the public, but also the legacy of Museveni. Which has been tormented and destroyed by own activity and hypocrisy. The gun-taunting, militarised politics of Museveni haven’t brought salvation, neither the progress many envisioned, but more deprecating and self-inflicting wounds on the state and the ones who dares to challenge him. Peace.

NRM Kyankwanzi Summit: Only shows again, that the party is a bunch of minions of Jajja!

Well, it is that of year, that time of the prequel before the next General Election. This time, its the National Resistance Movement (NRM) gathering at Kyankwanzi, where they are having a retreat to find their way and show their tokens of loyalty to their master. Especially when his around, when he comes in army fatigue and is prepared to sensitize them. Which will happen eventually. Because, nothing is left to chance.

Just like earlier in this year, the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) endorsed Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for sole Presidential Candidate in 2021. The MPs and the Delegates at the NRM Kyankwanzi retreat, is doing the same. It is just like clockwork.

What is more striking and vindictive, but in mercy of their almighty leader, is that the Caucus at the Summit are planning another constitutional change, just to fit the Program of their leader. This time a newly minted age limit on the youth. In a way to close of the Presidency for the youngest citizens of the state. This time, you cannot run until your of 45 year old. That means you not eligible before turned 46 years old.

What is more striking, in a Republic where about 95 % of the population is under 54 years. Under 24 years of age is about 69 % of the Population. Therefore, the NRM is proposing to ban the average Ugandan for eligibility to stand as President. Not that everyone and everybody is able to run or neither fit to do so. But not even having a head start, but being blocked because of the average age says a lot. Because the estimated population above 54 years is about 5 % and really isn’t much, considering that is biggest part of the pool of the candidates. That is if the NRM Kyankwanzi idea gets put into law.

This is to definitely strike at Robert Kyagulanyi and his candidature, also if others like Joseph Mabarizi or anyone else of youthful stature seeks the highest office. However, we all know this game. We knew the previous age limit was cancelled because it fit the Presidency. If the President see this as a fitting request. He will get it through Parliament as well. That is just the way he is and operates.

Just as the loyalty of the NRM CEC, the NRM at Kyankwanzi has to shows token of loyalty and pay homage to the old man with the hat, the only man with a vision, the almighty Bosco and his clan. They have to show grace and hope for mercy. Even if they only get a yellow t-shirt or jersey for their work and dedication.

You couldn’t expect anything else, the sessions and plans ahead of 2021 are all there. There is nothing new under sun. The sun is shining, but the light its shining is clearly not enlightening all of us. Since, they are following the pattern of submission. Not thinking on their own and not even trying to show any committed to better judgement. Peace.

Jajja’s eight time the charm: 2021 and beyond!

This upcoming election isn’t about reforms, isn’t about progress or about the ability to go forward. This up-coming election isn’t about the legacy nor the options or selections of candidates. That sort of ship has sailed, as the Age Limit bill enacted into law. Fixing the 1995 Constitution into the image, which the President needed.

We can all fool say, that Robert Kyagulanyi or Dr. Kizza Besigye have a shot this time. We can all joke around and think that the Forum for Democratic Change, Uganda People’s Congress, Justice Forum or the Democratic Party have a possible outreach to challenge the Movement. We can all mock ourselves, thinking that Norbert Mao, Asuman Basalirwa and James Akena will push the boundaries for this up-coming election. However, we all know that is a lie.

It is not that I am again change, not that I am against any of the opposition parties. I am not, but the cynical and free thinking spirit in me is saying, that this election is already pre-rigged, prepared and settled. There are no bounds for victory elsewhere. That is false-hope, which is fiction. It is political suicide to think that you can conquer or even beat Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in 2021.

The only thing that can conquer him at this point is either that the military, the generals and the ones closest to the army are turning against him. If not its his age and his health that will go into default stages because of his advanced age. Therefore, when concerning ballots, campaigning and all the rest is a farce for the façade.

The façade of a democracy and an election of some sense. That the public are in-line awaiting their turn to throw their ballot into the boxes. Where the party and candidates hold rallies and come with manifestoes and pledges. They all can promise new and fresh days, all new roses and chapattis, not to talk about working out the bottlenecks and getting the country into a middle-income nation. However, how much of a mirage that is at this point.

We know they will do this, will come out, guns blazing and fuming with fire. They all will come as statesmen and nobles, stand up tall and smile, glace at the crowds and mysteriously be gone in the next hot-minute after the polls. Because, that is just what they do. They came all in, but forgotten the next moment.

As that is happening, as the 2021 elections are getting prepared. Let us not fool ourselves. We already knows who wins, who will have the margin in the Parliament and who will have the elective officials behind him. Not because he is the best candidate, neither the second best either, but he is the only alternative, because he cannot lose. Since the system is built on his image and his vision. It is all him and everyone else is supposed to bow down to his majesty, the royal king and this is his domain. The Republic and its citizens are his servants and they should be humble and oblige him for another term. Even if that means his eight shot to strike Royal Flush.

Clearly, the Movement, the President and the whole state apparatus will act like it is a fair game, when its not. It’s rigged and settled before even the ballots are procured. This game isn’t changing anything. This election could have been similar in 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011 or 2015. Even in 1980, but then there was another master who rigged that election. Now, it’s his time, yet again. Peace.

BoU Scandal: Office of the Leader of the Opposition – Recommendations of the opposition on COSASE report (28.02.2019)

Opinion: Katuntu now have to bite the bullet!

Abdu Katuntu got to keep the position and chairman of the Parliament’s Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) on overtime to finish a report on the closure of 7 defunct banks in the Republic. He got the lifeline by the Speaker Rebecca Kagada in Parliament in January, as he wasn’t ready to deliver the report.

Katuntu as the MP who ran the committee decided on when to drop the report, which the report was dropped on the 19th February 2019. Now, today the IGG letter of the 19th February 2019 asked the Internal Security Organization (ISO) to look into the investigations and the possible kick-backs for a lenient report, which this was. The Report dropped was sleek, soft and guarded. Therefore, the question of what the COSASE is shielding or didn’t dig into could come into question.

If there was some bankers, some inside Bank of Uganda or anyone else of the Stakeholders of the defunct banks would enforce kick-backs to the Chairman and the Committee wouldn’t be surprising in relations to this is the Republic of Presidential Handshakes. In the Republic where the MPs are paid for voting in favour of favourable bills and motions of the Presidents agenda. Therefore, the initial idea of the IGG fits the state of affairs.

BUT, this is a hit-job, as this is leaked as the COSASE is getting new leadership, as the report has been delivered to the public and to the Parliament. The IGG and AG could act upon the work that Katuntu delivered. Nevertheless, there are more stakes at hand, as there are invisible hands overshadowing, as the cronies and investors, whose could be close to the President could be implicated. That is why the President was so adamant statements about the whole investigation and that it should have been done behind closed-doors. However, that didn’t happen.

Katuntu thought he did good, thought he delivered for the ones he made promises too. He thought with the extended time and promise of leverage, that he wouldn’t be hit. However, the President and his security organization is still on a vengeance. They are retaliating now, because the state suddenly looks into it. Because, the state is trying to save face.

It is weird timing that they are starting to investigate now, as they could have looked into the issues within the BoU before this, as there was plenty of banks closed wrongfully. Still, it didn’t matter then, but now it does. That looks weird and looks like a hit-job.

That Katuntu is now the latest victim… not the last, whose being used, tricked and later discarded. Peace.

BoU Scandal: IGG letter to ISO – Alleged Misconduct of Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) – (19.02.2019)

Opinion: Kyaligonza, I will joke with you!

“Let me tell you, Kyaligonza is not a person to joke with” (…)“You must not forget that I contributed to the peace you are enjoying in the country, yet you ridicule me?” – Maj Gen Matayo Kyaligonza (New Vision, 26.02.2019).

Well, Mr. I’m Above the Law, because I went to the Bush in 1980s. What’s up?

How is it hanging? Right, left or straight? Because, your not entitled to force yourself on people, to harass and harm them. Because you took arms and brought down a government in the 1980s. How entitled are you?

When can this stopped being invoiced to the public? Since the public is continuing to pay for the misgivings and hardships, you and your comrades did in the 1980s. The bills never stops, the reality of it all is that it continues to this day.

The so-called liberation has only been for a few, the way you act Kyaligonza and other weapon brothers act. The high-ranking officials of the Bush-War, which has now their entitlement put into stone and the rest, can just vanish. They are just people that can used and let be canned. That is how you act.

You deserved to be mocked, as your act oblivious to the fact, that you act like your superior, above the law and like you’re the esteemed bourgeois, whose only supposed to get served and be high and mighty. The rest are your slaves, they are not supposed to order you around or tell you anything. Your so special, so unique and smell of royalty. That is who you think you are.

That the Bush-War and the legacy of that entitles you to slap woman, grab land, be grandeur and get away with any legal ramification. Since you picked up the guns in the 1980s and because of that, you should be shielded from the law, forever, ever since.

Let me be straight with you Maj. Gen. Kyaligonza, as you have to force yourself on woman, use your armed guards against a traffic officer and surely you would easily repeat this offence. Let me tell you this, your are a coward, the only difference between an ordinary coward and you? Is that you’re a coward with a gun.

You wouldn’t act like this if your were righteous, if it was correct, but because of stature, you have allowed to act this way. It is beneath your station and stature, but you think you can do it. That is who you are, a bonafide coward with titles and a bush-war legacy. Your not great, your weak and your only manhood is proven, when you take others freedom, liberties and even their dignity away.

Your not a man of principal or ethics, your not a man of honesty or of justice, you’re a man of entitlement and scaremongering. You are still a foot soldier for the President. He will not save you, even if you think so.

Kyaligonza… shish, you think your all that, but in reality your not. It is a reason you’re the ambassador to Burundi. You’re a crony and imbecile, who force yourself and your titles on people. Time for you to retire and maybe serve with grace, though it’s a waste saying that. Because, you never will. Your like your master, will linger in the realms of power until your last breath. Peace.

Opinion: We need a daily reminder that VP Ssekandi is alive!

Well, today was the day, that the State House officially stated to the Daily Monitor, that Vice-President Edward Ssekandi is alive. We all needed that friendly reminder, from time to time. Since he is a like ghost, who just show-up out of nowhere to functions, move plates, even scare the living sh** out of the patrons. Because, no one anticipated his remains were still there or even entertaining, the idea of an existence.

VP Ssekandi could surely be myth, be a relic of the past. Ssekandi could be a old book in the long forgotten National Library, which not even the biggest scholar cared to pick up in his life-time. Because, the existence of Ssekandi is that sort of guy.

That is surely, why the President picked him as his second in command. No one is afraid of him, no one is thinking of him, except his wife and his closes relatives. The rest just anticipate him to open a well or even gracing a funeral now and then. However, he is not the honourable of which the system collapses the day he cease to exist.

No, he is urban legend, a man of all season and none of them. Edward is there, but for sure, no one knows why. He could be there for his organizing skills, his training, and his funny wordplay and even for his spiritual upbringing. Nevertheless, none of us has seen this or even heard of it. He has never proven any of his skills or his set of features. Except for a speech here and there.

Ssekandi is the VP who is there, but not really there(!!). That is why they have to say it from the State House, that he is alive and watching YouTube. Because, who knows what he does during the day or if he eats a pineapple or matooke. Since, the man is not to be seen or heard from.

The State House should do this more often, especially since Ssekandi is soon of the advanced aged, the ones who is usually retired or “expired” from the workforce, just like his master. However, they both linger. The President jumps around like a Criss-Cross video, but the VP is in the shadow, in the middle of the fog and not seen. That might be by default or rare luck, since his not stating anything radical or critically acclaimed policies. It is as if he wants to be this hidden. So, we don’t know and no idea what to know. He is just there, we suppose, but very little or no proof.

What we learned today?

Is that we need a daily reminder from the State House. In addition, occasionally, maybe even a health condition sheet or similar, to prove that he is alive and enduring this thing called life. So, that we can ensure, that the second in line after the President is there. Because, at the day to day, we got no real idea. Peace.
