Kingdom of Buganda: Office of the Katikkiro – Press Release (16.04.2021)

“So for you to come here (Parliament) as MPs and you just sit, Members of Parliament, honourable, what! The whole day—standing, sitting down; point of order, point of information—you look like clowns in that Parliament there” – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at Kyankwanzi on the 15th April 2021
When the personification of the state starts to complain. The only thing you can do is to look at him. It is his legacy and his making. The state of politicking and talk of policy is made like this, because he has made it this way. That’s why amendments and changes to law comes as per decree from the State House in the manner of letter to the set Minister.
The President have commercialized and done the gerrymandering to such extent that he has levelled the ideal prospects for who can participate or get through the loophole of getting elected. The manufacturing of districts, counties, sub-counties and cities in general. All been made to get Yes-Men elected together with the Special Interests Groups as well.
That’s why its a bit funny that he says this:
“You are like in a theatre, just acting! Your people who have remained in the village are carrying water on their heads; you are just here wasting time. I am not happy with the way you conduct yourselves” (Museveni, 15.04.2021).
The President have created this theatre or this circus. The clowns and the ones acting out is because of him. That the 10th Parliament became like that is after all the years of his reign. The 11th Parliament will also reflect that. It is the manner of which he made it happen. The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Primary Elections and the Sole-Candidacy affairs across the board. As well, as the total election rigging and securing majority by any means.
The NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) and the NRM Caucus at the State House before the important votes and policies in Parliament. They are all just pawns of him and therefore, the way things goes when they are nearly there just to accept and vote for new acquired loans. That’s been the main staple in the Parliament and the others been supported legislation by the President. Meaning, the role of the MPs and the Committee has been demoted to be working directly for the Executive.
So, that the President calls the MPs out is his own blame and his own making. He has ensured this to happen. If he doesn’t like it or doesn’t feel its right. It’s because of his way of governing and controlling every aspect of the state. The “High Above” is micro-managing things and that’s how things goes.
The times I hear Museveni speaks like this and ridicule others. He is making a fool of himself. As its his state and the men he has mostly trusted to be there. The President has made this system and allowed it all to happen. It is his appointments and his people. It is not like the majority is his opposition or dissidents. No, its his peers and his folks, which he is directing.
That’s why when his doing this and saying this. His dismissing his own leadership and his own skills of governing. If he wanted it differently, he should have made the culture of the Parliament differently. The President if he felt like that… he should have enforced it and ensured it. However, his profiting from it and has made it happen.
This is why his making a fool of himself and not of the Parliament. That’s because this joint is his and the food that is served there. Is made by the receipt of the State House and the chefs are doing it because of the menu his written as well. They don’t decide, but they are just delivering what he wants. Peace.

I don’t know what is happening with King Ronald Edward Frederick Kimera Muwenda Mutebi II, the reigning Kabaka of the Kingdom of Buganda. On the 13th April the King was seen by the general public and the Baganda celebrated the 66th Birthday of the King. He was clearly not well and in a worrying condition.
Today, the Royal Family issued and statement and the New Vision reported:
“In a statement issued Wednesday, siblings to the Kabaka, without offering details of his health condition, said that whereas he has been unwell, he is responding to treatment very well. “Ssabasajja (Kabaka) has been unwell for a while. However, he has responded well to the prescribed medication and his medical team is positive about his prognosis,” they said” (New Vision – ‘Kabaka unwell – Royal family’ 14.04.2021).
Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga should petition the state and ensure the safety of the Kabaka bwa Buganda who needs health care and treatment. That he feels unwell and seemingly looks weak. He does need health care. The Royal Family is saying his getting better, but his looking frail.
What is striking is that Bebe Cool aka Moses Ssali ranted after the birthday was really unique in a way. Especially for someone who is promoting and standing by the regime. His an vocal apologist and always standing by the government. Still, at this point and for the favour of the King. He had no trouble saying the Health Care in Uganda sucks. So, everyone who is an VIP and High Ranking Official should do Medical Tourism. Instead of trusting the treatment and healing at local hospitals. That really says a lot.
A regime apologist and a voice of the government. Bebe Cool says the rich and well-off is supposed to get treatment and healing from their sicknesses abroad. By saying that… his dismissing the doctors, hospitals and the health care in the Republic. That’s because he says the King needs to do this abroad. We know that the high ranking officials in the NRM have done this and opposition leaders are doing it too. They are going to the U.S., India or Nairobi to get help. That shows the state has failed Ministry of Health and its Hospitals. When this is what you say.
Yes, Kabaka seems weak and frail. It is up to the Kingdom and the Royal Family what to do. It is up to the state, if it would facilitate or help the King to get treatment on the outside of the Republic. The Katikkiro should ask or even try to through the political channels and even try to get something out of the State House.
It is natural to feel sorry for the King. He deserves to get the right treatment. I will not speculate into how he got there and what’s the reason. That is beyond me. However, this situation only shows the problems of the state and how it doesn’t take care of its citizens. The King isn’t just a high ranking official and a cultural leader, his also a citizen who deserves health care like everyone else. If it isn’t working for him it cannot work well for everyone else either.
Bebe Cool is maybe right, but at the same time his wrong. It shouldn’t be a necessity to go abroad to get help. That should first happen at home, but the state haven’t prioritised this and that’s why they need to do this in the first place.
This is a detriment to all the years of the NRM. That they cannot help its own and hasn’t the capacity to properly help the King. This means they cannot help the average citizen either. When a VIP like the Kabaka doesn’t get the treatment he really needs. Even the likes of Bebe Cool says so and his a voice of the state. His usually on the barricades for this regime and wants to spread their message. That’s why you know the state has failed. When a guy like him says this. Peace.

Foreign Minister Sam Kutesa yesterday published a press release where he addressed Western Powers and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Which in itself is a natural thing to do for a Foreign Minister. Especially, when you want to address or explain certain situations for context to the international community. However, his so far from planet earth. He must either already entered Akon City or gotten a VIP ticket to Wakanda. Where I want to join him in the near future. Because, it must be bliss to live like him.
Kutesa is really out of line and lying out of his ass when his saying abductions doesn’t exist and arrests only happening through due process. The minister needs a reality check and maybe someone should enlighten him. He must living on pink cloud and drinking some powerful juices to not be able to apprehend the truth.
The Minister should connect himself with the Jeje Odongo and Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. Even have a talk with the IGP Okoth-Ochola , Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerubaga and others who are associated with the abductions, kidnappings and unlawful detentions. There are several of reports and security outfits, which has been in direct connect with the “drones” or “Panda Gari’s”. That is the state effort before, during and after the elections this year. Therefore, Kutesa needs to get his mind right and corrected.
He knows perfectly well that this has occurred and happened in the Republic. His just hoping the International Community and these dignitaries are naive. That these folks knows nothing and will eat the lies of his hands. While civilians are getting court martial like soldiers. People are abducted and the state doesn’t even produce the proper list of the ones who is taken away. That is why its disrespectful to the relatives and the loved ones of these individuals that the Minister says this.
Kutesa should know better, but rather live on a lie, than speaking the truth. That is the character of him and the regime he serves. The Minister is a reflection of how the NRM operates and how they think they can whitewash the sinister acts they do. That is just the reality of it all and its tragic.
Sam Kutesa needs to produce does tickets and ways to get Wakanda. If not how he already has entered Akon City. Since, with this sort of statement he cannot be sincere. It is false and a lie. The minister needs to chill or apologize about this.
The Minister needs to get an understanding or back-off. Because, the lies is easy to decipher in 2021. It is not like the grapevine is silent and the truth isn’t leaked out. This isn’t the bush and where you can control all aspects of information. That is impossible at these days and he cannot pull up a smokescreen to hide the facts.
Kutesa needs to call up Odongo and get some knowledge. Clearly that’s not happening. If not, his trying to deceive the world and that wouldn’t be shocking in 2021. Peace.

GENEVA (13 April 2021) — UN human rights experts* today called on the Government of Uganda to immediately stop the brutal crackdown on its political opponents which began in the lead-up to January’s disputed general elections and continues to suppress opposition supporters.
“We are particularly alarmed by the reports of widespread and continued repression against opposition leaders and their supporters,” the experts said. “More than 50 people have been killed as a result of the brutal policing methods, including the use of live ammunition fired without warning, and at least 20 others have lost their lives in incidents linked to the electoral context.”
They urged the authorities to immediately and thoroughly investigate and prosecute all human rights violations, including allegations of extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrest and detention, enforced disappearance, torture and ill treatment, deprivation of due process of law and assault on freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.
Several thousand people have been arrested and while some have been released, others have allegedly been tortured before appearing in military courts, the experts said. Relatives of others often do not know their fate or whereabouts. “It is outrageous that those who are requesting information about their forcibly disappeared relatives are further subjected to reprisals and arrest,” the independent experts said.
“We are urging the Government of Uganda to take all necessary measures to immediately stop the concealing of information concerning individuals arrested in the context of the general elections, a practice amounting to enforced disappearance, and reveal their fate and whereabouts.
“The arbitrary house arrest between 14 and 25 January 2021 of the prominent opposition leader known as Bobi Wine (Mr. Kyagulanyi), which a High Court ruled to be unconstitutional, is symptomatic of the flagrant suppression tactics of the opposition and the absence of due process of law,” the experts said.
Opposition leaders and their supporters have protested against alleged electoral irregularities and the prohibition of gatherings under the guise of preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The massive deployment of armed forces in cities, as well as the intimidation and attacks of opposition observers at polling stations, reportedly affected voter turnout; while the interruption of internet services slowed the voting process and affected counting.
“The curtailing of freedom of press and media, the intimidation, ill-treatment and assaults of journalists covering the elections and especially the opposition is simply unacceptable. The Government must provide immediate remedies and reparation to all the victims,” the experts said.

Today Resident City Commissioner for Kampala Hudu Hussain released a press release called: “Warning to those involving in acts of sabotaging the Emyooga Program and the Presidential Directives on the Markets”. My question after that and his threats…. who will investigate these matters? Or to be more frank, who will detect some crimes with these state schemes?
What is striking is that the RCC of Kampala warns “opposition elements” and wants to “flush them out”. However, what the RCC should be worried about is the ones who is buying bad seedlings or procuring things at a high-price. If not the ones who is getting kickbacks, paying ghosts and getting in a circle or ill-advised trade. That is what usually happening. This is the lesson the previous schemes have shown the world. That is Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) was such a mess… and we know why, but his highness will not butcher or incriminate his own kin. We just know that.
So, at this point with the newest scheme of the government. The scheme they used to hold rallies and public meetings outside of the elections road map. They are now warning the opposition. Nevertheless, if there are some ill activity. Shouldn’t the authorities look into this?
Like shouldn’t the Auditor General (OAG) or the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA). Maybe even the Inspectorate General of Government (IGG) or the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA). Heck, the Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) or the newly minted Anti-Corruption Unit at the State House. Without using any of the direct outfits of the Police Force or the Judiciary. There is several of places where the state should be able to find the wrong doers and find the culprits. Nevertheless, the statement or the warning of the government official doesn’t state any of these.
With the ACU at the State House there is 6 agencies within the state apparatus that could look into corrupt behaviour. Still, they are not able to catch or willing to find the ones who do. The state has more than enough government bodies to sufficiently stop this if it matters. However, all of these parastatals should easily do this. Nevertheless, that is never happening and seems to be impossible.
Still, it is ironic that the opposition has to be flushed out. When the biggest scandals and corruption cases have involved the state officials and high ranking officials within the ruling party. It haven’t been guys associated with the FDC or NUP. No, these brothers and sisters has been yellow and been close to the “high above”. These have been charged and sometimes even court-side, but with time the charges been dropped and the case even dismissed. They got caught thieving but still off the hook. Therefore, these sort of warnings should be to the ones on the bus and not the ones under the umbrella.
The state have the machinery and the agencies to fight corruption, if it was a priority and if they really cared about it. However, we all know the drill and they catch the small fishes, but the sharks gets away. That is just the game and its rigged. Peace.

“One of the biggest benefits out of this retreat has been to enable members to bond with one another. We expect that this bonding will help members to relate well with one another in the 11th Parliament” (National Resistance Movement, 12.04.2021).
We know that the President and the ruling regime have been focused on Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. It is now clear that its their message. They are really fearing the “upstart” and his political party. If they didn’t feel it like that. They wouldn’t use the start of the retreat with the newly elected Members of Parliament (MPs) to be aimed at him.
If the NRM retreat was about their plans and the manifesto was the vital for the 11th Parliament. The MPs telling this in secrecy wouldn’t leak this information. Because, the NRM is clearly looking at Bobi Wine and continuing to go after him.
As it is reported today:
“A source who happens to be an MP from Eastern Uganda says since the Kyankwanzi retreat kicked off on Friday, the main discussion has been hinged on the National Unity Platform party leader, Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine. “We expected the heated speakership debate to be settles but up to now, our trainers are preaching only Bobi Wine and NUP since Friday,” the MP told this reporter. “We are being told not to allow Bobi Wine to confuse the youths. I don’t what our trainers mean by that,” he adds” (Emmanuel Busingye – ‘Bobi Wine is Uganda’s enemy, NRM tells MPs in Kyankwanzi retreat’, 12.04.2021, Ekyooto.co.uk).
This is not shocking… and it is anticipated in some matter of fashion. The NRM have targeted and the state has targeted him and his party. That is a simple verdict, as everything he has done has either become illegal, detained or even silenced. The man cannot do anything without getting into trouble.
The NRM and the state is in default setting: “Go after Bobi Wine. All means possible and no method is to much”. That is why they had to discuss Bobi Wine and NUP at the Kyankwanzi retreat. The NRM will have the majority in the 11th Parliament. They are the ones that can set the policies and the legislation ahead of the next term. However, they are busy finding ways to undermine the opposition. Because, they stand for so little that they have to go after him.
This shows how little the ability and power means to the NRM. When they are using their time to plan the 11th Parliament policies. That is such a waste of time and shows their lack of progress. This is the fellows who promise securing people’s future, but they are lost in the whirlwind of politicking.
It is clearly a sign that Bobi Wine will be the enemy of the state and his party will be the aim. That is what is happening and it will continue until the end of time. As long as Bobi Wine dares to challenge Museveni and the NRM. They should have capacity to make a use of their mighty power. Instead, they are showing how they fear the opposition. That is ironic and tragic at the same time. Peace.

The President since January 26th 1986 should resign and retire. The old man with the hat and advanced age should be humble and hang up his boots. Thought we know deep down in our hearts that this man will only retire when he catches his last breath. This sort of man doesn’t retire or let go. No, his a man who will prolong his stay and overstay in office.
President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni will not retire. Though it would be a friendly surprise to see him constantly be grazing his cows at various of farms or ranches he owns. Where he could drive between them in his SUV and not be continuing his overdue time in office. However, this man who came in with the gun, will die by the gun or if not… by age.
Yoweri will not go out easy. That is why his still there and has outlived most of his enemies. The old man has overcome big hurdles and even gotten away from several of wars. This man has gotten rid of people who could have succeeded him. However, that will not be told stories about now. He has also been implicated in changes of powers in the neighbouring countries as well. That has been done to further his role and also wanting to become a “kingmaker”. Where everyone has to be loyal to him.
President Museveni wants a favourable legacy and known as farmer. Though his CV is filled with bloodshed, conflicts and use of war. This man is a General and a Warlord. Museveni will not be known for peace or negotiations. He will only be able to settle the score across the borders, but never within. In his own neighbourhoods or districts he will get rid of the enemies or silence them with compromising agreements. Where he get the upper-hand and sold out their causes to buy “peace” with him. Museveni doesn’t accept to loose, but he will win by all tricks possible.
That is why the pictures of his grazing the cows is fine and dandy. Nevertheless, the farmer should stay on the farm. He should maybe avoid the State House or politics in general. As it seems his now fitting here more and is more relaxed. Instead of stressing with politics and politicking. He could just chill and be out of sight, and out of mind. That would be healthy for the Republic.
After his been for years now the Personification of the State. The President should try to figure out a way to retire or going into another chapter of life. Surely, the President fears to do so. Since, he has created so many enemies. The old man has used power with ruthless force and the general public isn’t really loving the old man.
The President should consider this, but we know that won’t happened. The old man has promised several times of retiring. Promised to not to change the Constitution or laws to fit his prolonged rule. Nevertheless, betray all of those and hope people forgets.
President Museveni should just stay on the farm and leave the general public a rest. We know that will not happen. The President will only bury all of his enemies and use the state for his own benefits for yet another term. We can expect him to continue this scheme until death. That is just who he is and what his reign is all about.
There is nothing else to speculate on and the pictures on his farms is just to make him more a “commoner”. Though his richer than God and has more money than anyone else in the Republic. Museveni and his family owns the vital businesses and keys to Republic. That is the general rule and how things are going. As Museveni micro-manage everything and has to have his verdict before things get resolved.
The “high above” will stay the “high above”. Nothing will change there and he will not change too. That is a cause you can give up. Even if it would be progress and would be huge achievement to have a peaceful transition without guns involved and have a former president grazing some cows. Peace.

It’s official that Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam aka Akon will build Akon City in Senegal in 2018. The American artist who has already pledged to build “Wakanda” in Senegal and it’s supposed to start this year in Senegal. Now in 2021 he has pledged to build a second Akon City in Uganda.
The first “Wakanda” is to be built in Mbodiène, a town of 6,000 citizens in Senegal and is supposed to be the “original” Akon City. Where this is supposed to be designed by a Abu Dhabi architect and U.S. based developer. The city will run by a cryptocurrency “Akoin” and get electricity though Akon’s Lightening Africa. That is already the dream project and the utopia of someone’s wild dream.
Akon have earned millions of dollars with his music. He has dropped albums and is getting royalties that way. Just like his earning money on Lady Gaga to this day. Nobody will earn huge profits from Kardinal Offishal and Colby O’Donis. Nevertheless, as Akon continues to sell dreams.
We can wonder, if these will turn into nightmares. Akon is now supposed to build another Akon City. This time in Uganda. He has promised a city built by 2036. That gives him time to finish it by 15 years. However, that will be tough to complete and even get funding for. When you are not even fully financed your vanity project in Senegal.
Akon has only raised one third of US Billions he needs to build his Utopia in Senegal. Where his majestic and futuristic city is supposed to be built. He is going over the edge being able to this stunt twice. Not even dictators in their own home-countries are able to pull this off. That with the ability to skate of criticism and misuse of state funds to complete their vanity projects. Where they are building their home villages into a city. There will be big churches, stadiums and even airports. It is still not as utopian as Akon proposes.
Thomas Moore’s Utopia isn’t even like this. Neither is Asterix’s ‘The Mansion’s of the Gods’ where Rome and Julius Caesar wants to build a city around the rebellious Gaul village. In that story that fails and the architect have to give up. Still, that story of fiction can be replicated here in reality. Where a visionary and a salesman who wants to suddenly create a magnificent city out of nowhere.
Akon does the same and promises that twice. He promises this in Uganda… even before he has finished or even delivered anything in Senegal. A place where he has promised to deliver this since 2018. The state have given him land and his supposed to do it. While his not financing this himself. His not a Rockefeller or a Bill Gates.
That’s not Akon’s fault, but with his wealth he isn’t able to finance or do this on his own. Akon needs financing, architects, developers and a natural progression of this. If he ever wants to build his Brasilia. No, this will not even be a town built around a company or a manufacturing plant. No, this is towns or cities built out of dust. Where they are supposed to just rise up from the ashes. They are supposed build a city out of nowhere.
That is the certain vanity projects fitting ill-advised kings or dictators. They usually does this to their home villages or home-towns. Where they will boost it and make it giant place. With a majestic mansion for themselves and other buildings of stature. They will even build statutes and other things to remind the public of their greatness. However, if this is failed. They will be like empty ghost-towns or company towns who failed after the company couldn’t earn profits anymore.
Akon cities could easily end up in the same space as company towns or dictators vanity projects. As Akon isn’t funding this himself. He promises grandeur and greatness, but have nothing else than promised land to build it on. Akon is supposed to be able to get investors and build these cities. If it is with his cryptocurrency or other ways. That is still an utopian dream.
The recording artist is supposed to pull off building to cities. The musician needs to be able to play on several of strings and ability to fund this. As much as he needs to fund all of his other businesses. The man who needs to cater to all of his wives and now all of these enterprises too. He is selling lofty dreams and hoping other people’s money can be spent.
Akon would have a greater shot …. than the dictators and giant companies building towns across the world. What is striking here is the supposed sudden Wakanda or Utopia is supposed to happen in both Senegal and Uganda. They are needed to built with other people’s money and goodwill of both states. As they are both giving away land to this development. Though the building of this cities are no natural growth or a city developing through the stages they usually do with added population and businesses.
Akon will most likely either able to create one of these. If not it will be a Gbadolite. A forgotten relic of the big-man and for life President Mobutu Sese Seko of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The same might easily happen to Akon City in both Senegal and Uganda. As he will have to make it viable for investors and they have to see these enterprises as profitable. Everyone investing has to get their cut and the people moving there have to suddenly be able to make a living in these cities. That without any official business or companies working there. They are just supposed to spring up and the seeds of a this visionary city is viable to feed itself.
That is why this a questionable dream. An Utopia or an Wakanda. If Akon isn’t able to bring in the cash it will turn into a nightmare. It will be ghost-towns before they are even starting to exist. If he gets it built. It might die quickly too, as it is a generic and a manufactured towns without any natural life. This will make it harder to breathe life into it. Unless, his developers are planning the livelihoods and possible ways to actually live there. That shows how far-fetched these things are.
Akon is trading a dream or hoping to avoid a nightmare. These cities needs so much to work. Not only the building, but the funding and make them liveable. That is when this get real. So, how can Akon be able to build cities without spending his own money?
I want to wish Akon well, but feels sorry for the ones falling for it. I have a feeling like the fictional story of Asterix is what would happen here. The promise of an urban city beside the Gaul village. However, the architect had give up and the Roman city couldn’t get built and had to give up. The same will most likely happen here.
I know the fans of Akon and the ones earning fortunes on his enterprises doesn’t want this out. However, it is necessary to say this. Akon could just a be a con man too. Than he has made himself a king without even having the battle for the throne. That is legendary, but also scary. We can just wonder, if he will ever pull it off. Time will tell, but don’t be sad if this all just a cash-grab and a heist of certain elites. Peace.
