Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) – Old Challenges Continue to Pull Our Contry Backwards (02.11.2022)

“Nobody will divide that Rwakitura unless they want to (force) my ghost to come from where it is, I am appealing to Ugandans that when we are making wills for your children, let us do what other people in advanced countries learnt long ago, the system of dividing land when u are going to heaven or hell is very dangerous for our future, I propose a compromise which I use in my own family, when I go to heaven, when you come to Rwakitura it will still be there” – President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni (Nile Post – ‘No child of mine will dare divide my property when I go to heaven or else my ghost will haunt them- Museveni’ 02.11.2022).
The man and self-styled President for Life is now telling people how things will be after his life. Yes, the deceased are known for writing wills and have some legally bound documents for what is happening in the future. However, President Museveni will not have the same power or influence like he has today.
He can write in names and make a legal document on how he wants the Rwakitura farm is shared or supposed to be part of the family. Nevertheless, the President cannot tell the future or what will happen with it.
We know that the President claims he bought the Rwakitura farm in 1967, but the reporting from the 1990s states it was his new palatial home. The “Camp David” of Uganda. Therefore, it is most likely a place he got or was able to takeover after getting in office. Since him as a student in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania wouldn’t be able to buy the land or farm for that matter.
That’s why reading these statements made by Museveni isn’t directly surprising. He is a micro-manager and directing minor things all the time. That is something he does and usually with Presidential Directives or letters directing others to follow his command.
His family should know that his like this and shouldn’t be shocked either. Anyone who has heard or seen how he acts over the years. They should just take this for what it is. His planning to be a ghost and roam his farm. He has a plan for the afterlife and where he wants to reside.
We now know that the advanced aged President has a plan to follow and have a second life. That’s his wish, but it’s up the Gods to decide where he will end. The final destination and residence isn’t up to the person himself, but that’s up to the deity. However, we know he has wishes and we can wonder if God will listen to his choices.
I will not speculate in how the clan and the Museveni family will act upon his death. The day Museveni is gone. There might be reactions and ramifications that is out of control for the family. A dictator and tyrant is gone. Rwakitura could end up like Mobutu’s Palace Gbadolite. That palace is now in ruins and forgotten.
President Museveni might be sincerely discouraged in his afterlife. His fate might be more dark and grim. He has to answer for his life choices to the Gods and that might cost him. Where he is not in good graces, but instead getting punished. However, that’s not up to me to state… or assess, but we do know he has plenty of lives on his tally. This is written and will be part of a record that he got to answer for. He should answer for this while living, but if he doesn’t here. We can hope the Gods does the right thing for all the ones who has lost their lives. Just so he could be in office and be His Excellency.
Until then… we now have a future ghost. Peace.

“The ministry of health has revealed that six school-going children in three schools in Rubaga division in Kampala have tested positive for Ebola” (NTV Uganda, 26.10.2022).
“The Ministry of Health has cautioned parents and schools in Kampala to increase vigilance and adherence to the standard operating procedures following confirmed cases of Ebola among some students in Rubaga division of Kampala” (NBS Television, 26.10.2022).
“President Museveni has imposed a 21-day lockdown on the central districts of Mubende and Kassanda to contain an Ebola outbreak that has already claimed 19 lives in Uganda. “Movements into and out of Mubende and Kassanda is prohibited,” President Museveni directed in his third quick-succession night televised address on Ebola” (David Vosh Ajuna – ‘Ebola: Museveni puts Mubende, Kassanda under 21-day lockdown’ 15.10.2022, 93.3 KFM Radio).
The lockdown of Mubende and Kassanda districts has clearly not stopped the transmission of the Ebola virus in the Republic. There is now more spread of it in Kampala. Things are getting worse and rapidly a problem, which seems to soon out of control.
This can also be said after not only the news from the Ministry of Health today with further cases in Kampala. However, also the boda-boda driver at Kololo. This shows that the virus is spreading and at a rate, which seems to be spiralling.
With the knowledge we have of Ebola, this is serious. Just read a part of the fact-sheet from the World Health Organization (WHO), which is specific on how Ebola virus is spreading…
“Ebola virus disease (EVD), formerly known as Ebola haemorrhagic fever, is a severe, often fatal illness affecting humans and other primates. The virus is transmitted to people from wild animals (such as fruit bats, porcupines and non-human primates) and then spreads in the human population through direct contact with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected people, and with surfaces and materials (e.g. bedding, clothing) contaminated with these fluids. The average EVD case fatality rate is around 50%. Case fatality rates have varied from 25% to 90% in past outbreaks” (WHO – ‘Fact Sheets: Ebola virus disease’ 23.02.2021).
Now that the Ebola is outside of the lockdown districts and within the Greater Kampala area. Soon we can see or here about cases in Mukono or Wakiso districts too. This is just the beginning of it, as I see it.
When we saw the last address of Museveni. With the newest information and such, more and extensive lockdowns are on the horizon. When the President could announce it for two districts. The news of transmissions in Kampala. We expect a lockdown and new stoppage of ordinary life. Especially, if we see the numbers rise and the amount of people reported with it. Because, this is spreading and evidently it’s not stopped.
When we see the numbers of other outbreaks of Ebola, the fatality rate is huge. So, this is worrying and should be a significant factor in acting swiftly. Peace.

“Sports is obviously, an economic activity, I’m sure these young people here know, those who follow English Premier League. You know all those players out there, who makes a lot of money. Simply by doing something they love, which is football” – General Muhoozi Kainerugaba (22.10.2022)
This is written after watching and hearing the speech of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba in Arua. The speech and address was really telling. You know the man isn’t used to or have the confidence to be in front of the public. Because, why would he look down and be so into his phone.
Speaking of West Nile and a Sport Tournament. Even giving credit to the local MP. Nevertheless, the General didn’t show any sort of care for the message that he was spreading. He even needed notes of who was playing in the tournament and the winner two. Which was funny, because he said in the end, “I believe”.
A few quotes from the speech:
“Sports helps with our health, the more active you are, the more you avoid certain diseases. That comes with the lack of exercise” (Muhoozi, 22.10.2022).
“I want to encourage young people to use their talent to achieve greatness. Whatever those talents are” (Muhoozi, 22.10.2022).
“As I said, I handed over my last office, the Commander of Land Forces, I intend to focus on the youth, and youth activities like this, like sports” (Muhoozi, 22.10.2022).
“We pledge to work with government to ensure the interest of the youth are a, taken care off, but government are already doing a lot of things in sports” (Muhoozi, 22.10.2022).
“So the President has put a lot of effort into this area of sports, and we need to support him” (Muhoozi, 22.10.2022).
What is striking is how he had to read from the phone. Staring into the phone like it had all the cues and words he needs to use. Like he read a long time before he spoke of the “unifying belief and support of the Uganda Cranes”. Which was a fine statement, but it shouldn’t been that hard to say. That should be in his heart and mind, because that was sort of patriotic and totally bipartisan. However, maybe he needed the memos on the phone to remember this sentiment?
He even had to look extra to through the notes to remember when he last was staying long in Nebbi and the needs of the West Nile. Secondly, he had most likely written down to “thank everyone”. It is really showing there is vast difference between him and his father.
His father can stand up and lie for hours. Muhoozi isn’t like his father and cannot even wing it on stage. Museveni can at least also copy a speech written for him and just add additional anecdotes or whatnot. While Muhoozi is clinging on to the phone for his dear life. All the pieces to the puzzle is there.
In the speech to, which was really short. Muhoozi had a lot of silence, stops and had to read the script on the phone. That’s a bad look. His supposed to engage the crowd and get them interested in the message. However, he was more into the Samsung, Nokia or whatever brand of phone he was having.
The ones that is behind for Presidency. Do you want a man that lacks this much character, charisma and even gracing the public with his presence?
We know the General is acting bad-ass and as a supreme leader with his twitter-fingers. However, in person and on stage. His another guy, less boosting his ego or ability to sell an idea. He can boost his presence and his ideals on Twitter, but he cannot hold a speech. It seemingly looking like his a lost soul and lack experience in doing so.
A General that cannot stomach to speak without his notes or pre-written quotes. He maybe wanted to sound smart and credible. However, the staring into the screen, the moments of silence and lack of public engagement is no good. That’s what the speech oozes of for me.
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba lacks a lot and that’s clear. He has been skating on being a part of the first family and being bound by the power of his father. However, when his standing alone and wanting to control a crowd. He just don’t have it. Neither does he have the message or belief in what his saying.
If he was to sell the brilliance of that mobile phone he was carrying. I would believe him, because all of his answers was right there. Peace.

“A young man accused of tweeting an inappropriate joke about Speaker of Parliament Anita Among was yesterday sent back to jail after the presiding magistrate said she was indisposed. Mr John Sentamu, aka Kelly Slender, 26, was picked up by a drone at his workplace more than a month ago in connection with disturbing the peace of the Speaker on Twitter” (…) “According to the charge sheet before court, Mr Sentamu, between July and September in Kampala, willfully, and repeatedly, used his twitter handle @JOHNKELLYTON 5 using user name Kelly Slender to disturb the peace of the Speaker of Parliament with no purpose of legitimate communication” (Precious Delilah – ‘Shop attendant remanded for tweeting ‘joke’ about Speaker Among’ 19.10.2022, Daily Monitor).
Some people have little spines. They have such little ability to grasp reality and be in the public sphere. It is like their entitlement is outrageous. The feel so unique, special, and prestigious that you should just bless them. That’s how it seems with the current day speaker of the 11th Parliament.
Speaker Anita Annet Among is the new breed of entitled and enriched cronies of the regime. She is the sort that can say obnoxious things about detractors or dissidents. However, the moment they retort. They got to bend the knee and apologize. That’s the sort of rank and office has now.
The Speaker is acting out of line and cannot stomach her office. We have already seen her actions towards Francis Zaake MP and now against a civilian too. The civilian she is serving for in office. If it wasn’t for the civilians, she wouldn’t have an office to go to. However, when your up high and mighty, you forget those things. It is only when the buck stops and the master your serve is gone. That’s the moment she needs the like John Sentamu.
Alas, the Speaker should be able to take jokes, because she is becoming the pun in plenty. She couldn’t manage her cool with the words of Zaake and now she couldn’t get the joke of Sentamu. Certainly, she needs to buckle up and get a grip. However, that’s to much to ask. Maybe, that’s why she became an ex-wife this year? She cannot manage a man who has the balls and the tenacity to question her? She is so supreme, that she got to be the Kingpin of everything!
Well, life isn’t easy on the top. When a joke can get you in a tailspin and order a drone on a civilian. Your life is surely precious. The Speaker’s mind is so fragile and so easily fatigued. That someone cracking a joke is a direct offence. You know that isn’t much a person or a leader when she resorts to this. If it is a joke of a nobody on Twitter. She could have responded or mocked the person for written it there. A tit-for-tat, but that’s apparently beneath her.
The speaker is a coward and a reckless individual for making life so hard on a civilian. She should put herself in his shoes. What if Kadaga had done this to her while she was civilian. Would that have been fine and dandy? Would it have been accordingly, if Among had cracked a joke about Kadaga on Facebook back in the day?
I don’t think so, but then again… with power comes prestige and prominence. However, she is clearly not able to carry the weight of the office. It is a burden that is to much. Especially, if a civilian’s joke is disturbing your peace. Your mind will never rest or be “tewali”. The Speaker needs guidance or help. But I know it’s futile, because everyone is just supposed to bow their knee to the almighty Speaker and the Leader of the August House. Peace.

“As the struggle for win the hearts of the youths by Uganda’s presidential hopefuls continues, NRM youth leaders from Buganda have endorsed President Museveni as the sole presidential candidate for the 2026 elections. Museveni, who has been in power for 26 years, has not yet indicated that he will run for 2026” (Farish Magembe – ‘NRM Buganda youth endorse Museveni, not Muhoozi, for 2026’ 18.10.2022, Nile Post).
In Masaka there was a group of youth leaders from the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has already endorsed President Yoweri Tibuhurwa Kaguta Museveni. A man who has ruled the nation since 26th January 1986. A President that has already reigned supreme for 36 years is still viable some youths.
You can wonder what is their incentives and reasons to do it. Certainly, they must be hungry and wants to show loyalty. If they show loyalty and proves their services to his government. That’s what the youth leaders of Buganda did or Central Region. If it is the opposition it’s the Central Region, but when it’s NRM – it is back to the Kingdom and calling it Buganda. Ironically, right?
Well, NRM Youth Leaders of Buganda signing off an endorsement in 2022 is a sign of poverty, lack of vision and also utterly ill-advised. This isn’t done in the run-up to an election. Neither is there any signs of Yoweri standing as a candidate in the next election. Though, we shouldn’t kid ourselves. Museveni is doing this every-time and claiming the “people will decide” and “so will his party”. Though we know the drill and his most like the flag-bearer for NRM in the next term.
They haven’t even published a road-map or the committee to write the manifesto. Therefore, settling now only shows your motivation and that you are hoping for incentives to do so. The NRM Youth here is only showing their soul is sold and they have traded all integrity. That’s what legit has gone down…
Because, we know what is happening ahead of the election new NRM umbrella groups are popping up to fit whatever narrative and stories the NRM needs. We know also that these groups will praise the President and supposed achievements. That’s why there is plenty of youthful groups, which is sort of a part of the NRM. These are now mentioned without any particular order, NRM Poor Youth, NRM Youth League, NRM Isolated Youth, NRM Yellow Power and NRM Generation Seven.
All of these ha been made to ensure elections and continuation of the NRM regime. The NRMYL is the most significant ones, but the others has been made to cater the needs of NRM ahead of the polls. That really their mission and this is why you haven’t heard from them in forever. They only comes in a hot-minute before the polls and to be there for a campaign pledge.
You are seeing so many youth groups… and this week a group of youths from Buganda… suddenly endorsed the President for Life out of nowhere. They are certainly hoping for a pay-off, either a plate or a brew. These youths hopes for opportunities and recognition. The clearly made some headlines and got some people talking. However, they are too early.
These youth should have waited for the RDCs and the NRM Vice-Chairperson for each regions are out hunting for positive groups or stories. At that point ahead of the election wants as much credibility and youthfulness as possible. They want to look more popular than pop-stars or the Lord Saviour. However, now… this is futile, except, if these people are hungry and hoping for a plate.
They could get that and a free t-shirt. Nevertheless, these folks won’t be Kings, because they are already peasants. They might become glorified peasants, but they will not reach the throne. That place is sealed and they are already proving it with their action alone. Peace.
