RSA: Parliamentary Speaker Mbete letter to Malema on holding a ‘No Confidence’ Vote for President Zuma on 22nd February 2018 (01.02.2018)

Right now the African National Congress (ANC) is singing the tune of a future president in Cyril Ramaphosa, the current Vice-President. Who became the President of ANC on the 18th December of 2017. Therefore, ANC they didn’t elect Nkoszana Dlamini-Zuma and gave enough votes for Ramaphosa. Whose been a part of the ANC for ages and finally brought the ANC Party to a standstill. Last time this happen when Jacob Zuma countered Thabo Mbeki.
So when Jacob Zuma became Party President on the 18th December 2007. He beat Thabo Mbeki and was destined for the top position and be the Republic’s President too. Zuma used his support within Trade-Unions and Youth-League to outsmart Mbeki. He stepped down after allegations in 2008 and clearly making ready for Zuma to run for Presidency in 2009. Before that he was fired for Corruption scandals, but Zuma rose about that and he took down the one man who fired him.
We are now in 2018, but we are similar stage in the history. Now we await and see if Jacob Zuma will react with swift force or put any sort of play into action. As the State Capture and other Corruption scandals are ruining the credibility of the ANC. ANC has had the ability to change its course, but instead has rotten its roots in corruption and misuse of state funds for personal gains. This has been sanctioned by a President who has acted as if he is above the law. Now the new ANC President Ramaphosa can create new issues as he is preparing for the 2019.
If 2019 ANC wants to be taken serious, they got to get the State Capure, the Gupta’s and the whole of government misuse of State Owned Enterprises (SOE) for personal gains of both ANC leadership and the owners of public businesses. This being with tenders and with the kick-backs, the hiring of cronies and the over-price of commodities. Therefore, this isn’t just Zuma’s family and the Gupta’s Businesses. Therefore, as the years has gone by, the Zuma administration and their cronies has eaten on the roots. It has been visible, but the state has also used all sort of tricks to stall investigations of it.
It is just early 2018, where Zuma is losing ground, the State Capture Commission has been enforced and the other cases are running. There is more public outcry against tenders and SoE’s agreements with public companies. All of this has been used as tools for earning private fortunes on the public monopolies. Zuma knows this and all of ANC knows it too. Therefore, Ramaphosa has hands dirty in the midst of this. But now if he wants to be taken serious. He has to do what Zuma did to Mbeki.
While Mbeki had smaller fish to fry and went more narrow in actions of a fraudulent arms-deal. He went and axed Zuma rightfully for his misbehavior. However, Zuma would accept to lose. So he came back and took the place of Mbeki. Now after that he determine to eat even more himself with scruples. That is what he has done since taking power. Now the wheels of fortune is going against him.
The ANC is losing ground on the State Capture and Nkandla Village Project, every single Estina and other scandals will just further the outcries of the resignation of Zuma. His name isn’t really ringing bell of justice and honor. Zuma has conducted himself in manners of graft and kick-backs. He has accepted others done the same, its been their hour and they didn’t want to waste a single minute.
Now, people wonder when Ramaphosa will rise above Zuma. When Ramaphosa will do the same as Zuma, step out of the shadow of the former-President and excel him. Ramaphosa has no a waiting game, but there are enough scandals for him to use against Zuma. Even if Zuma himself isn’t indicted or impeached yet. However, Zuma has enough cases waiting him and there is enough allegations to question his place as a President. That is well-known.
We just have to wait when Ramaphosa will do like Zuma did to Mbeki. We just have to wait and see, when Zuma will fall like Mbeki. Ramaphosa will do his bidding when the time is right. He has been eyeing this position for so long. Cyril will find the moment when Zuma is the weakest. When the ANC-NEC understand there is no return and when the ANC Party has the most to gain to get rid of Zuma.
That is when Ramaphosa will strike, because he is awaiting the moment of justification. Even if the public and people know that Zuma is corrupt. If it doesn’t happen the right way. Then he might be implicated himself and his own part of ANC has to pay. Not only the nearest cronies around Zuma. That is what is worrying Cyril. Still, he will await the perfect strategy, the narrative that is needed so he can start to run as a Presidential Candidate in 2019. Peace.

It is now formed a commission to look into the ‘State Capture’ Report, which entails the allegations of fraud, corruption and of crimes done against the Republic of South Africa. This has been done by the President Jacob Zuma, his family and associates combined with business operations run by the investor family of Gupta’s. The stories and allegations has been running in the recent years, and more and more of the allegations has been verified. The close connected businesses and operations of the state, the tenders and state reserves used to boost businesses run by the family. All of this is now further investigated after dozens of trials and other legal remedies.
The Commission, which was signed in and enacted on the 23rd January 2018 is to be headed by Justice Raymond Mnyamezeli Mlungisi Zondo. This Commission is finally coming after the final verdict in December 2017:
“The Commission shall inquire into, make findings, report on and make recommendations concerning the following, guided by the Public Protector’s state of capture report, the Constitution, relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines, as well as the order of the North Gauteng High Court of 14 December 2017 under case number 91139/2016” (STAATSKOERANT, 25 JANUARIE 2018).
I never anticipated that this would happen, because Zuma and his associates have tried to stall the inquires and all sort of serious investigations, they have used all sort tricks to silence and stop finding problematic relations between Oakbay and other businesses owned by Gupta family in South Africa. They have tried to stall the previous Public Protector and the Report itself. Just like the Eskom report from Dentons was archived for years before it was published. Clearly, the transparency and the lack of oversight, by the control of the Zuma administration has been evident in the cases concerning Gupta and their pay-offs, kickbacks and hiring of family members of the President.
This investigation of the Commission will look into the mysterious firing and the hiring of Finance Ministers, the period of three Finance Ministers within short time and if the Gupta associates had anything in connection with this sort of weird acts from the Zuma Presidency. It will also look into the tenders of State Owned Enterprises (SOE) and if they have been given on basis of best offerings and after lawful practice, or if they have been given on basis of envelopes between the Zuma and Gupta’s. It will also look into the possible control of the New Age Newspaper and their advertisements, if this has swayed opinions or if the government sponsored has changed dynamics. If the appointments of certain individuals to National Treasury, the same fellow who was shortly appointed to Finance Minister Des Van Rooyen. All of these acts and if the Gupta’s had a say in the changes in policy and businesses. If the family could connect and pay-off government officials, to change the cabinet and also the tenders benefiting their new industry and operations.
So the basis of the Public Protectors report ‘State of Capture’ will now be further investigated and the prosecution of it can happen at a later stage. The mere heresay, will now be discussed, the people involved will be interviewed and also possibly indicted if the Justice Zondo sees it fit. The evidence will be collected and the cases will be built by the Commission, which will report within 180 days, the truth is that the allegations will now be put in print. The allegations and the corrupt behavior that has been will be investigated further. Not only unleashed in the papers and the receipts as well. The Gupta Family businesses and their holding companies, will be questioned, as well as the communications between them and the Zuma administration. How many of the Zuma family hired by Gupta’s and how many who has traveled on Gupta’s tab. That will be unfolded. Just like it has, but in system and with vigor, hopefully, since this kind of activity has tarnished the Zuma Presidency, together with abysmal village project at Nkandla.
Zuma will be in deep water, he is already trying to walk on it like Jesus. But he isn’t Jesus, he is just a man, he will drown if he tries. There is enough proof of a conspiracy and enough smaller evidence of fraud and corruption between the state and the Gupta’s. It’s not just Mmusi Maimane and Julius Malema, who is crazy crying out loud in public, its real.
The Commission will prove it, if they start digging and use the allegations and build on the proofs from the Public Protector. The signs of the conspiracy and the possibly pay-off to the Zuma family is there. The use of the state and misuse of it for personal gain, is all there. Peace.

On the 18th January the Gupta family and Oakbay Investment Group was charged in the Free State Division and in Bloemfontein. This time for forfeiture of state grants in a agriculture scheme. This after affidavits and trials over a case was showing how the companies of the Gupta family was bleeding the state out of millions of Rands. This was a case where the Gupta used their connections with the Free State and their operatives to be able to forge projects to get state funds.
That the Company made by the Gupta and Oakbay called Estina started a Free State Diary Project. The projected funds and supposed research newer came into effect. There were any bidding on the state funds that was given to the studies made by Estina. The millions of rands was given by the state to the operations between April 2013 and May 2016. This was in total of R220,202,652.00. These payments went to different accounts and various partners of Estina. These funds didn’t got to Estina, but to various companies all over the globe and accounts. Nothing went to what they we’re intended to by Department of Agriculture in the Free State Division. The funds to went to various entities, but not the diary project or the business of the farm as it was intended.
The Estina Company was supposed to have functions of a diary project at the Vrede Diary Farm. This was never made, the money was just fueled from the Estina and into various accounts. The whole was supposed to be a part of the revitalizing the agriculture in the province, as the Mohoma Mobung Strategy. Therefore, the Free State started subsidizing the diary project in the Vrede Area and in the Phumulela local municipality. That is why the state made the Vrede Diary Project as a prestige project. Which was supposed to generate job creation in the area. Therefore, without following procedure and lawful codes, the Free State made an MoU with the Estina Company. It was Free State’s own HoD Peter Thabathe Mbana who wanted this to be the Free State flagship in March 2012. A year before the first payment to the Estina Company. The establishment of the grounds for these transactions and company cannot be proven, even as civil servant cannot prove the connection between Indian Company Para’s and Estina. Even, if he claimed so in his affidavit.
While the Estina company has strange change of types of business as it was in connection with Sahara Computers and run by well-known man in Gupta enterprises Kamal Vasram. The Company was first incorporated in 2008 and registered in Sunninghill, Johannesburg. By October 2012, it went from Computers to Agriculture and related activity. Then, also registered in Sandton, Johannesburg. After resigning in July 2015. The new Director ran the company to ground and was liquidated in May 2017 with assets in the levels of R34,200. So the Company had been run like a mill by the steady grants given by the Free State, while the business was “booming”.
Because of reluctance of Thabathe to give documentations of both the direct transactions, the evidence of needing these funding and tenders supposed to be public. The transparency of the project and way the grants was given. The National Treasure and the PPP we’re threaten when trying to force documentation of the business between the Department and Estina. That there are no proof of the needed supply chain between the parties, shows that money was ghosted when it left the Free State Account into the Gupta owned business.
There was also a 99 year Free Lease of the land in Farm Krynaauws Lust 275 district Vrede, Free State Province. The measure of the farm was 4439,5122 hectars of land. That the Free State signed over to the Estina company, because of the flagship program and diary project that was granted them.
Clearly, if you cannot read between the line, this was all a forged company and playful agriculture, with very little milk and cows. More of spoiling the grants and funds to other accounts. Spilling the government sanctioned funds into private accounts all around the world. It ended on accounts in Iceland, Dubai and India, also in various accounts in South Africa.
That the Gupta and Oakbay had no issues with forfeiting 220 million Rands and also capturing a giant farm in Free State Province. Proves how careless and reckless they have been. We already know about their giant deals with Eskom and in other government grants. This is yet another one. That has ordered in courts, where the Ministry of Work has ceased the farm and the different accounts has to deliver and refund the Province with the misused fortunes gained on Diary Project that never really existed. As the procurement, tenders and the whole operation was sham from the get-go. Which lasted from 2012-2016. That led to the demise of the Corporation in 2017.
This is yet another proof of the their state capture and what the Zuma Administration has accepted during his tenure from the Gupta based companies. As they have been bleeding the Free State out of funds in this instance, as they have done in other sectors and with other businesses all around South Africa in the recent decade. Peace.

The State of Capture Report is really haunting the Presidency of Jacob Zuma and the African National Congress (ANC). The South African President and his government has been under fire for years for their close connection with the Gupta investors and their corporations who has gotten favorable deals with state companies. Which in the end has delivered bad service to the public as well as costing more than it should.
Today there was a judgment in the High Court in Gauteng Division in Pretoria. This judgment is really showing that the President is not above the law. I will take out key aspects of the ruling. So there will no question, but only the words that came from the court. It is really evident that the President is trying to run away from charges, but is still not able to do so. Even with his position as President.
The ruling did one key thing against the will of Zuma, which was to say this: “For these reasons, none of the grounds of review has any merit, and the President is not entitled to the relief that he seeks. The remedial action taken by the Public Protector is lawful, appropriate, reasonable and rational. In the premises the President’s application cannot succeed and must be dismissed with costs” (High Court of Gauteng, 13.12.2017).
The former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela clearly won today in court and the president lost. Not only cash, but is proven that he didn’t use his power to continue the investigation made by the Public Protector. Zuma should have followed recommendations and followed the procedure to continue to investigate and look into the troubles with the State Companies and the Gupta’s. Which was shown through good collection by Madonsela. The State of Capture report is damning and proving the open corruption between a President and an Investor Family. How the investors are getting good deals on Public Funds, while using private companies to skim the money from the state. Where also the Gupta used their influence and monies to also change Ministers and others.
The continued investigation and inquiry in the State of Capture, would reveal more skeletons in the closet. Zuma might be afraid of the communications between his family and the Gupta’s.
The Judges in the Case even said this about the application made by the President:
“Taking all the circumstances sketched and the considerations made we are of the view that the President was ill adviced and reckless in launching the challenge against the remedial action of the Public Protector. He is aware that since allegations of “State of Capture” initially surfaced and more so, after the Public Protector’s report the matter remains in the public domain and requires decisive action and resolution. His Court challenge has resulted in further delaying the resolution of the “State of Capture” allegations” (High Court of Gauteng, 13.12.2017).
It also stated: “It is declared that the remedial action in the Public Protector’s Report, No 6 of 2016/17 dated 14 October 2016 and entitled “State of Capture” (the Report), is binding” (High Court of Gauteng, 13.12.2017).
So the President has to start an inquiry and investigate the allegations in the report of the Public Protector need more investigation and the recommendations of DPP was justified. Even if the President wanted to stall it and didn’t deem it fit. Since, this would be looking directly into his business and his actions in government. This being energy deals, changing finance ministers or all sort of activity done with the coordination of the Gupta family and businesses. These sort of public display and disregard of checking the facts. Also could show that the President would be worried what a sort of inquiry would look into and might find. While having more legal powers to check out the findings and also get affidavits, that could in more information and more evidence into the case that the DPP made. This is needed and now the President is ordered to do so by the Court. The judges have justified the need to follow up the “State of Capture”, the whole scandal and the grand corruption that was inside that documentation.
This is a ghost following Zuma and it will not leave him. Just like Nkandla upgrade has hunted him too. The “State of Capture” have haunted him and will be in his shadow as long as he is walking. Especially, know that he is ordered to make an inquiry and also get someone to investigate it. To follow the recommended remedial actions that the DPP wanted to see. It was all justified within the provisions of the law and the President didn’t comply, because the case is implicating him. Peace.

Finally, after almost a decade of ducking and diving, and squandering millions of rands of public money on his own legal fees, President Jacob Zuma will now face 783 charges of corruption, fraud and racketeering for stealing the people’s money.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) welcomes the judgment handed down by the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) this morning, which flatly rejected President Jacob Zuma’s appeal of the 2016 North Gauteng High Court ruling that set aside the decision to drop these charges eight and a half years ago. The court found that the decision to drop these charges was borne from undue political considerations and, therefore, irrational.
Today’s judgment is a win for justice, the rule of law, and for South Africa. Jacob Zuma will not defeat the ends of justice. The law applies to all, regardless of status.
The matter is now straightforward. The charges now stand, and a court of law must hear this matter. If the President is innocent, as he proclaims, he ought to let a trial court decide on his innocence. His actions over the last decade smack of a desperate attempt to avoid this eventuality. These are the actions of a man who knows he has a lot to answer for.
In this light, I will be writing to the National Director of Public Prosecutions, Adv Shaun Abrahams, insisting that Jacob Zuma is served with an indictment and appears in court at the soonest available date. Adv Abrahams must commit to reinstating all 783 charges, and furnish the people of South Africa with a date by which these charges will be processed. Adv Abrahams must give us a response within 10 days. The charges have been formulated and the evidence is ready. We now await a trial date.
We suspect that President Zuma will want to make fresh representations about why charges against him should be dropped. However, this is unnecessary, as he made written and oral representations on why exactly the same charges ought to be dropped back in 2009, and these representations were rejected. We will not stand for Jacob Zuma.
While everyone has the right to approach the courts for relief, the matter at hand is a simple one, and requires no further deliberation. We urge President Zuma to stop wasting public funds through lengthy legal appeals, and to accept the fact that he will stand trial for 783 charges of corruption fraud and racketeering. We estimate that Zuma’s delaying tactics in the courts to date have cost the taxpayers upwards of R30 million. Jacob Zuma must and will be held personally liable and made to pay for wasting valuable financial resources. Zuma must pay back the money he wasted.
This matter has been ongoing since 6 April 2009, when then Acting National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP), Adv Moketedi Mpshe, announced that the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) would be discontinuing the prosecution of Jacob Zuma on 783 charges of corruption, fraud, money-laundering and racketeering. The next day, the DA launched a review application in the Gauteng North High Court to review and set aside this decision on the grounds that it was manifestly irrational and therefore illegal.
This now presents Adv Abrahams a golden opportunity to show his independence and proceed with this prosecution as planned, and give Jacob Zuma a court date.
The DA has always maintained that the President may not be guilty but that he have his day in court as is consistent with the Rule of Law and due process. The President himself has stated on numerous occasions that he wants his day in court.
In the absence of any legitimate factual or legal reasons, the DA is led to believe that these charges were dropped for political purposes: a political solution needed to be found to drop charges against a person who was about to become President, and the Spy Tapes provided the convenient excuse that has now been set aside.

There are often many signs when someone has been in power for too long, their age and their will to serve. That is why the Mugabe family are riding new Rolls Royce’s down the streets of Harare, while the citizens are struggling to afford gasoline and possible hyper-inflation again. So, the Zimbabwean
President, the Head of State have the audacity to insult Botswana. Even if his own state is in tatters and self-indulgent of his cronies and ZANU-PF. A man like that should more careful with his words, but his use of power and His Excellence are used to be chauffeured and have enough “yes men” filling brigades. Therefore, they will not stop him or disagree with him.
That’s why these sort of acts and words comes from his mouth. President Mugabe wants to act like the wise, but comes off as the ignorant. Blaming Botswana for not sticking-up for itself. Would he have respected if someone said the same about himself, which was a fellow Statesmen? I doubt it, he would say other foreign forces had allied against him and wanted to invade his precious Republic. Because, then Mugabe become defensive.
Now, lets look at the quotes from recent events!
Mugabe publicly spatting about Botswana candidate:
“Speaking at a meeting with his South African counterpart, Jacob Zuma, Mugabe said everyone in the region had tried to support Venson-Moitoi, except Khama. “We worked hard, they worked hard, sweated. They sweated, you sweated, we sweated, but one man did not sweat. He sat at home and expected miracles to happen, but that did not happen. Everybody just said you (Venson-Moitoi), we have not seen your President here, he does not attend meetings. What will happen if we placed the organization (AU) in his hands. She had worked hard and we were sorry that she lost. But we knew in advance that we were trying the impossible one,” Mugabe said, drawing laughter from both the Zimbabwe and South African delegation attending a binational commission, aimed at strengthening trade relations between the two neighbors” (Mhaladi, 2017).
Botswana retort to Mugabe:
“The Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation wishes to respond to the recent media reports in which His Excellency, Mr. Robert G. Mugabe, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe blamed the loss of the candidature bid of Botswana’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi for the position of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, on the lack of support by His Excellency, Lieutenant General Dr. Seretse Khama Ian Khama, President of the Republic of Botswana. In this connection, the Government of Botswana has taken note of the comments and regrets these inaccurate and unfortunate remarks. However, the Ministry chooses not to comment any further out of respect for President Mugabe’s advanced age and as such, understands that allowances need to be made” (The Observer, 2017).
That President Mugabe has some age, that is true the President is now currently 93 years old and has been running the government since 1980. It’s high time for changes in Zimbabwe since the government is rotting on its roots. Therefore, political activists are detained on phony charges and no-sense policies are put on the people. The economy is fragile and weak, the reputation of the Bond-Notes is as low as it should be, considering it came with beautiful idea, let’s borrow money to print money. Could think they key economic adviser came from bankrupt banks and maybe it did!
So President Mugabe should be more careful, its been years since his last success, unless seeing his wife fleeing from the law in South Africa on possible assault with battery charges on a South African model. The rampant injustice of the system and total control that put the whole state into abysmal performance because of constant oversight. Clearly, the Mugabe regime and ZANU-PF has not thought of letting it go, even if it means making the situation worse, than it already is.
So that he critique the Botswana government for their African Union position and blamed them for the way it went. Shows the lack of tact the man has now. Instead of concealing defeat and discussing it with the Botswanian counterparts, he bluntly speaks ill of them with South African President Zuma. So use others misfortune to bond with important neighbor. That just how Mugabe, the supposed elder Statesman is acting and not supposed to be.
That President Khama should take is offense is natural, but Mugabe can offend anyone because of his age and get away it. Still, he deserves to be rebuked for his words. If he continues he will has less friends on the continent. Not that the Zimbabwean Republic is strong friend for them in need either. Not at this point. Peace.
