Opinion: Odinga have become Kenyatta’s fixer

Former presidents Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel Moi and Mwai Kibaki were sons of peasants who rose to lead the country. We have a democratic system that allows for competition and equality” – ODM Leader Raila Odinga

The Handshake and the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) have been a blessing in disguise for President Uhuru Kenyatta. He has defused the opposition and gotten a fixer. In such a manner, that his own Deputy President have become a man of ceremonies and not a needed side-kick. The President have not only bought time, but an loyal ally.

Because, now with the Revenue Allocation and the new County Budgets. The Orange Democratic Movement leader Odinga has traded blows. He first defended the matter and with the new voting in place between July and September. He has changed, but defended the President for doing so. Giving him praise and saying it benefits his causes.

That is why Odinga is Kenyatta’s fixer. The man with a plan, the one who cleans-up the mess and make everything look golden. The man who take all the dirt and still speaks highly of the Head of State. He doesn’t even have to order him to do so. Because, Odinga needs political capital and needs to activate his party. Alas, the defences of the actions in the Senate and in Parliament is just magic.

The supposed opposition, who is not opposition, but isn’t really government either. Still, he speaks more high and mighty about government programs. Then the ones representing the same government programs. While his party is the Leader of Minority in Parliament. Which is a weird state of affairs.

Odinga knows all of this. That’s why he has claimed to be both opposition and in government. That is maybe why his so defensive and such a supporter of the new revenue allocations to the Counties. Since, it benefits the state and their motives ahead. Because, if he would go against it. It would have diminished the chances of his baby, the BBI and the fictitious need for a referendum.

Raila, Baba knows perfectly well all of this, but trying to spawn a web and a need for everything. To make himself relevant and to deliver something in this term. So, that he can elevate himself. Since, he couldn’t deliver Canaan and CORD/NASA was destroyed by the Handshake. Only a chosen few got appointed and the ones who didn’t follow suit got left behind. This is what happened post 2017 elections.

We can all act like this isn’t a play, but it is. Odinga is the fixer, the man who sheds tears and sings rainbows, if the President needs it. While the DP is useless figurine, who can be the fall guy. Odinga can look good and the President can act like he makes things better. Even if the President does that or doesn’t do it. The ODM Leader will have his back and defend his actions. He might make a fuzz for a minute, but moments later the ODM leader will show another face. Which just happens to fix the issues and the wanted outcome for the President.

Kenyatta must be giddy. He got Baba by giving him invisible trophies and lookalike projects to preoccupy his mind. While Odinga does that and defends whatever Kenyatta needs. He got the carrot of BBI to keep him busy. That’s why he doesn’t have a functioning opposition to counter his argument. As the ODM is to preoccupied and working on a non-function, non-important BBI.

Odinga was bought for little to nothing and is now the fixer. That must be boring for all the ones who fought with in 2017. Not to mention all the guys who risked it all in the days of CORD/OKOA and NASA.

The Fixer is here. Kenyatta don’t have to worry. Odinga got him and he will make arrangements. He will make the ugliest painting looking like a masterpiece. Peace.

Opinion: I don’t see what’s wrong with Ng’eno’s statement [and only see that he hit the pride of the President]

You are not Kenya and Kenya is nor Kenyatta’s or Mama Ngina’s land. This land belongs to 47 million Kenyans, you cannot run it as you wish, Moi and Kibaki finished their terms and left, you should do the same next year when the time comes” Johana Ng’eno MP (07.09.2020).

I didn’t know that President Uhuru Kenyatta was a deity and transcendent between the holy land and the mortal world. Kenyatta must be immortal and cannot be offended. The ground that the President walks on has to be praised. You cannot state anything against him… because, if you do? You will be in trouble like the MP.

Ng’eno MP is even expelled by KANU, who has made a coalition with the Jubilee. This means the Jubilee is already working with Gideon Moi. Another honourable gentlemen from a dynasty. A man that Ng’eno mentioned in his statement. That is the father of Gideon and the former President. Nick Salat does this for political capital, but its very little to gain.

That the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji and the National Police Service is issuing statements, but also charges on Ng’eno for this. Shows, that one family is more important than the freedom of expression. The Kenyatta’s are untouchable and the Moi family needs to salvaged too. Since, they are dismissing him for speaking ill of Uhuru.

There is certainly not Uhuru, neither is there are coherent Ubuntu. There is just a mess. A self-inflicted mess by the state. Yes, Ng’eno challenged the Kenyatta’s, but he didn’t say anything wrong. He just went after the ego of the President and his inner-family. It was brave of him to do so…

That is why Ng’eno MP is paying the price. If he had incited to violence and genocide. If he had used the means of what certain politicians did in the post-elections in 2008. Then I would have understood the backfiring means of the state. Alas, that wasn’t the case here.

He just hit the pride, the ego and the Kenyatta’s. This is misuse of power and restricting freedom of speech. They are taking away liberty to question their power and their office. He just wishing the President well, when he is done in office after his second term. That he can go back to his farms, milking cows and continue his businesses. Instead, of acting like he owns a Republic. When he represents it and is the Head of State. His not a royal king or even a kingpin.

The President and Jubilee should know better. KANU is just beneath itself dropping Ng’eno MP is messed up over this. The MP spoke the truth. Yes, he hit a nerve, but a man who has been in office since 2013 should manage to spoken to this way. Unless, his a kid with a hissy fit over not getting candy.

Uhuru and his family should manage this and much worse too. If they are this frail. What are you doing in office? Why are you even a head of state? Are you man enough to carry your own self? Do have carrying balls?

Because, I wonder if the President has the character and the ability to rule. When he cannot even get a wish of a kiss goodbye and being told that he doesn’t own the Republic. Are you that tiny?

That is weak tea and misuse of power. Kenyatta needs some help, he needs to grow up and understand his position. If he don’t, comedians, journalists and whatnot will soon be arrested for mocking him or even write a notice of punchline before they are revoked an opportunity to do their job. Peace.

Opinion: Ruto cannot runaway from the pay-offs he has gotten in office…

That Deputy President William Ruto tries to deflect and make himself a martyr is expected. As he wants to save his legacy and his future. He doesn’t want to fall and neither lose the option of reigning supreme when Kenyatta passes the mantle after his second term.

Ruto wants so badly to be a saint. He wants to be the pope and the high priest of society. Still, the man has more thieving, conniving and massive spin to be in power. Instead of policies and actual achievements. He is using PR plots and big crowds to cheer himself to sleep.

He has put up stone for ghost-projects. Launched meaningless enterprises and ensure government tenders been misused. Secured pay-offs and greased the wheels himself to brief-case companies and LLCs with no destination or plan to actually do anything. Other then benefiting himself and his cronies.

That is why the Tanga Tanga is loyal to him. He is paying them and ensuring their loyalty. It isn’t because Ruto is special, unique or have a character, which they have to follow. Neither does he have the stamina or the trust to keep these relations close. It is all about the Benjamin’s, all about the shillings and the profit motive.

That is why Ruto has now Hotels, Newspaper, land and houses. One house in Karen, Nairobi and a mansion with a artificial lake in Eldoret. That is the sort of man Ruto is. The former walking preacher, who nearly could afford shoes.

His been preaching, been a man of the trade. Gone from being corrupt in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to start his own, dissolve that into the Jubilee and now in his second term getting into questions.

All along, in all the years in office. It has been known how Ruto has operated. In the Harambee House Annex, there been schemes and plots of undertaking state funds. There been shady deals with kickbacks, envelopes and the tricks of the trade. Ruto knows this and has supported the game. It has been his game and with the office. He has felt safe. Untouchable even.

Ruto has an idea of what he has done. Ruto knows the game he has played over the years. Earned fortunes as a state official and high ranking official. His connections and his opportunities to do good has been there. Instead, he has been in it for one reason: enriching himself.

That is why he is defending himself like he does. Just putting dates and wanting people to look into backlogs. Instead, of looking now or elsewhere. Because, he knows his implicated. The man know he has done reckless deals to earn a fortune on the government dime. Taxpayers has been ripped off to pay ghosts, ninjas and the cartels.

He had no issues doing this, while he was ahead. At a point where he felt untouchable. No, he went full steam ahead. However, now he feels more alone. His closest ally has bailed on him and purged his comrades-in-action. The DP doesn’t have the significant support or ability like he used too.

The only reason why he hasn’t resigned or gone full gung-ho. Is that I’m sure his afraid what will happen when he does leave office. Because, he knows what he has done and how he has amassed the enormous wealth. The man knows this perfectly well. All of the Republic does, it is just a matter of time before his implicated and indicted for something.

He can defend himself, but that doesn’t make it untrue. A man couldn’t build four houses in Eldoret and a artificial lake without some sort of deals behind the scenes. His government salary cannot stretch that far. Combined with all of the other estates, businesses and so on. The man has been eating. He has been stealing and thieving. Used his office for self and not for the common good.

The proof is all there.. Ruto can lie about it, but that doesn’t make it true. It is just another lie. The spin cannot save this man. Then he has to repent and give up the ill gotten gains. Show some humility and character, two things that isn’t staple from this man. It is not in him.

He rather try to pull another con, then acting real for ones. Peace.

Opinion: ODM’s audit is only to buy time

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and unofficial Prime Minister Raila Odinga wants suddenly an audit of the COVID-19 Funds and stolen PPE equipment in the Republic. It is really evident that the ODM is doing favours for the state.

These statements are coming from the same guys and semi-government party, who claims to both opposition and a government party. Which is very evident by the recent moves. They have been crying out loud for arrests, demonstration and cried havoc over other scandals. Day-in and day-out.

This time they are just measly saying … let’s someone look into it and hope they spend time doing so. An inquiry and an audit will last until the next election or even after the polls. Kenyatta and Jubilee must be giddy.

Jubilee and the allies must feel relieved. The ODM is cleaning their house and their mess. The dirt is cleaned. They say there is a need for an audit. However, nothing specified and no talk of independent investigation. If it is an in-house investigation. Then, the smaller fish will be catched, while the big-fish will be released. They are the untouchables and the ones who are saved no matter what.

Odinga has made a living. ODM is now in the stretch of both angles, even if his close to be a Jubilee-KANU-ODM alliance, if there ever was one. The Jubilee have consolidated around Uhuru Kenyatta. He has distanced the DP and his TangaTanga. They are even crying out loud, the former known looters of the Republic.

Therefore, the whole elite and the ones associated is fine with the thieving. They are just buying time. Instead of direct investigations, indictments and charges on alleged crimes. They are crying for in-house audits, where a committee will look into it and buy the politicians time to bury the theft.

The audit is a fitting tool, where appointed commissioners and handy individuals can get a limited mandate and a scope. Where they possibly can find nothing or even deliver a result when its outdated. That is what usually happens.

This is why the call for a audit is buffoonery. It is playing bamboozle with the public. ODM knows this and Jubilee knows this. Odinga knows this and Kenyatta knows that too.

You can trick the public once, maybe twice, but three times. That is not happening. There been enough scandals without any consequences. This administration have several on their hands and no one has paid a price. An audit of this one will linger on for ages and will loose its steam before a bracelet is even procured.

So, while the stove is sizzling… the heat is on, the state and its allies shifts the show and side-track the conversation. Instead of actually getting a look at the culprits and the ones involved. Getting a committee and gazetted appointments. While the thieves moves on to another government tender, procurement scheme or funds to exploit. Peace.
