Sudan: SLM/A-AW Urgent International Communique on Sudan’s Crisis (06.01.2022)

The omens of victory appeared, and our people are on the threshold of salvation.
The bravery of the Sudanese revolutionaries, women, youth, old people, and children drew the world’s attention.
The military junta continues to commit crimes against humanity and the number of casualties and martyrs has increased.
Continuing storming and besieging hospitals, preventing the injured from reaching them, and bombing patients and inmates with tear gas, which constitutes a crime against humanity in international and humanitarian law.
The system’s devices fire live bullets with a fatal shot in the head and chest.
The Executive Office for Freedom and Change calls for an international investigation into the violations and crimes against humanity committed by the coup authorities against civilians and health institutions.
In the Great Exodus of our people on the sixth of January 2022, our people’s processions continued carrying the brigades of victory in the countryside and cities, and their struggle escalated towards a comprehensive civil disobedience that will mark our date with dawn and defeat the coup with matchless valor. Young men and women came out, the women, the elderly, and the children were paying the bill for their struggle with their pure blood without fear or apprehension until the streets of our country turned into one of the national battlefields that are an extension of the valor of grandparents and mothers, and the eyes of cowards never sleep.
Today, the repression of the coup authorities continues, targeting the convoys of our people with fatal injuries directed to the chest, head, and necks of women and men.
The attacks on hospitals and health institutions also continued, and tear gas canisters were thrown inside them, threatening the lives of many critically ill patients.
All of this constitutes a full-fledged crime in national and international humanitarian law. Thus, the Executive Office of the Forces of Freedom and Change calls on the Security Council to form an independent commission to investigate the crimes that the October 25th coup junta continues to commit.
Today, the repression of the coup authorities continues, targeting the convoys of our people, with fatal injuries to the chest, head, and necks of women and men. The outcome we have received so far indicates the martyrdom of revolutionaries in the city of Omdurman, and the injury of more than twenty revolutionaries, according to the reports of patriotic doctors from the forces of the revolution.
The Forces of Freedom and Change welcome the growing interest from the regional and international community, especially the statement of the ambassadors of the European Union, the Troika and the United Nations, and the statements of the US Secretary of State and others, and appeals to the Sudanese diaspora to continue their campaigns in attracting regional and international solidarity with our people until victory.
The revolution has united our people in the countryside and the cities, and we salute the Kandakas, the Mayarms, and the families of the martyrs. What befits the sacrifices of our people is the unity of the forces of the revolution and the establishment of a unified center for its leadership.

Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdok announced his resignation from his position as Prime Minister through a speech addressed to the Sudanese people yesterday evening, Sunday, January 2, 2022. This resignation came as a direct result of the coup, and this is the essence of its cause, which cannot be overlooked.
The resignation of the Prime Minister marked the end of the November 21, 2021 agreement, which we in the Forces for Freedom and Change have repeatedly expressed our rejection of and that it is a legitimation of the coup Najla’s stab was directed at the mass movement at the time of its rise to defeat the coup, and this resignation confirmed that the people’s will prevails and cannot be exceeded or its priorities are ignored.
We affirm in the Forces of Freedom and Change that the train of revolution is on and that the coup will be defeated by the determination and unyielding will of our people and by its unbreakable pacifism in the face of the brutality of the coup regime.
finally
We extend our thanks to Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk for accepting the assignment to head the government of the revolution, and we renew our call to the forces of freedom and change to build the broadest front to defeat the coup. The forces of the revolution participate in it jointly, and they are governed by coordination through a unified center directed to accomplish these tasks and complete the tasks of the December revolution.

“Whoever believed in Hamdok, Hamdok is gone, and whoever believed in the revolution, the revolution is alive and does not die” (Resistance Committee, 02.01.2022).
The timing of the resignation of Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok is too late and with the Political (Declaration) Agreement of 21st November 2021, which ended his special place and role in Sudanese politics. As the Prime Minister accepted the fate and sold his integrity to the army commanders of the Transitional Sovereign Council, which did the second coup d’etat on the 25th October 2020. Therefore, the resignation on the 2nd January does little to nothing now.
Hamdok came in as one of the technocrats from the Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC) in 2019. He was one of them, but the possible power and his office became to important. That’s why he traded his integrity and morality for a second short stint in office. Which he would be the puppet and the face of the Sovereign Council to the world. That is now gone and not shockingly. Since, there been talks of his resignation from around 21st December 2021. This has been in the works for about two weeks now.
The FFC and Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA) have not abandoned the revolution or the ideals. As the Resistance Councils doesn’t need or see the value of Hamdok. It is the International Community and the donors of the Sudanese government who does. They have lost the “civilian” face of the transitional government. That is the reality here… and Hamdok went away from the FFC and SPA when he signed the declaration in November 2020.
Hamdok accepted the Transitional Military Council members of Al-Burhan and Hemeti. These men got the carrot and they could hit him with a stick. It is not like the army or the armed officers has been relenting their violence against civilians after the Political Agreement. No, they have continued to murder civilians on the streets and let people die for the democratic rights. Which, the army commanders don’t want to give them.
Al-Burhan and Hemeti must have felt victorious when they got that deal. As they have deliberately shunned and ensured the FFC not having a place in the Sovereign Council after the second coup. That is surely to stop the transition and the agreements of 2019, which is vastly different from what Hamdok agreed upon in November 2020. Therefore, the army commanders got the win for nothing.
Now, they have lost the face of government. The army commanders and the militia leaders who is now apart of the Sovereign Council isn’t representative of the general public. That’s why the Resistance Councils are able to coordinate and continue it’s demonstrations across the republic. While the harsh use of force, tear-gas and violence against citizens continues. There is no stop of bloodshed from the authorities, they are even going after people inside hospitals and using all tools to suppress the public.
I don’t see the Resistance Committees, FFC and SPA will need or see value in Hamdok. The ones doing that is the IC and the ones who believed in his reforms, which the army commanders doesn’t believe in. That is very clear and the current regime is as vicious and insincere as the Al-Bashir one. That is the henchmen of the previous one and they are not willing to buckle. However, we all know at one point the centre will not hold. Nevertheless, we don’t know when that is occurring… Peace.

The revolutionary arsenal of repression continues its violations against peaceful demonstrators by committing a new massacre today, as two martyrs died in Omdurman, one of whom was wounded by direct bullets in the chest and another martyr with a direct hit to the head that led to a laceration. Skull and brain out (the type of weapon used in the injury will be known after the autopsy is completed).
There are also dozens of injured, who are now being counted. We note that cutting off the internet and communications and closing bridges has contributed to obstructing the ambulance and confinement of the injured.
The Unified Office of Physicians condemns this brutality and the blatant barbarism of the putschist forces, and appeals to the international community to follow up and record these flagrant violations of the brutal junta against the peaceful revolutionaries.
