Sudan: The Unified Office of Sudanese Doctors – Statement (30.12.2021)

We wish to convey that the Coup Authorities in Sudan have cut off both internal and external communications in the country, including the internet services.

These measures have been timed with the start of the peaceful protests marches scheduled for today, the 30th of December.

This in fact is part of the authorities repeated practice of human rights violations aimed at suppressing the freedom of expression, and also covering up the fierce measures and the use of excessive force directed towards the protesters.

We appeal to the whole world to closely watch and follow the events in our country.

Sudan: Humanitarian Coordinator condemns looting of WFP food supplies in north Darfur (29.12.2021)

This was food assistance meant for Sudan’s most vulnerable people.

KHARTOUM, Somalia, December 29, 2021 – The Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, Mrs. Khardiata Lo NDIAYE, condemns the looting of food supplies from a World Food Programme (WFP) warehouse in El Fasher, North Darfur.

On the evening of 28 December, the premises came under attack from unknown armed groups. This incident follows the looting and reported violence around the former UNAMID base in El Fasher last week.

“The United Nations and humanitarian partners are extremely concerned about the reports from North Darfur that humanitarian assets came under attack. This was food assistance meant for Sudan’s most vulnerable people. Humanitarian assistance should never be a target,” said Khardiata Lo N’diaye, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Sudan. “One in three people in Sudan needs of humanitarian assistance. Such an attack severely impedes our ability to deliver to the people who need it the most. We urgently ask all parties to adhere to humanitarian principles and allow the safe delivery of life-saving assistance,” she stated.

According to initial reports, the WFP warehouse located in the Borsa area of El Fasher town, the capital of North Darfur State, contained up to 1,900 metric tonnes of food, meant for hundreds of thousands of food-insecure people in that area. This comes amid unprecedented funding shortfalls for WFP, estimated at US$358 million. As of 29 December, the security situation had been restored, according to state authorities.

“We are grateful to the local authorities for intervening and preventing the situation from worsening. However, we call upon the Government of Sudan to step up efforts to protect and safeguard humanitarian premises and assets throughout Sudan” she concluded.

An estimated 14.3 million people in Sudan are need humanitarian assistance according to the 2022 Humanitarian Response Plan, of which 25 per cent require food security and livelihoods support.

Sudan: Forces of Freedom and Change – Statement (27.12.2021)

The Central Command Council of the Forces of Freedom and Change condemns the systematic targeting of the resistance committees and actors of the revolution’s youth by the coup authorities, and the cases of entering and searching homes for the purpose of arrest under emergency orders aimed at paralyzing the broad popular movement against the coup.

The Central Command Council of the Forces of Freedom and Change condemns the decision of the Coup Council to restore the repressive authorities to the security apparatus, and to grant immunity to the forces and militias that carry out the massacres of the coup in the face of the peaceful revolution of the people.

These repressive developments came in the wake of the November 21 agreement, and we affirm once again that the decision of the coup leader is a repeated recitation of the Book of Salvation in his last days, and that our revolution is on its way to crushing this regime, no matter how oppressive and violent it is.

The Central Leadership Council renews its adherence to the slogan of the revolutionary wave, and categorically denies any contact with the coup regime, and clearly makes it clear that the Council did not listen to any offers from the coup leader nor his prime minister regarding a return to what was before October 25, in this regard, he reiterates that the transitional partnership has ended in the coup and that our main concern is to work with our people to bring down this coup and hold its leaders accountable, not the participation of its president in his corrupt authority.

The coup authority continued its tireless endeavors to prevent our people from exercising their right to peaceful expression and resisting the coup, the repressive mentality of the leaders of the coup tended to close the bridges leading to the palace with containers, after they collapsed by military barricades in front of the rebellious crowds, and they also deployed huge numbers of soldiers armed with sticks and batons and tons of tear gas canisters, and despite the arsenal of oppression, the will of truth overcame the machine of oppression, and the expression of our people’s position on the authority of the coup was clear, in a commando familiar to the revolutionaries and free revolutionaries, worthy of pride and pride.

Sudan: The Unified Office of Physicians – Urgent (25.12.2021).

The coup authority, its coup prime minister, and their forces continue to attack health facilities without taking into account their sanctity or the dignity of staff, patients, and the injured. An armed force attacked the Khartoum Teaching Hospital and beat the working medical staff. The sick and wounded, and the firing of tear gas canisters and stun grenades inside the hospital premises.

Sudan: Sudanese Professionals Association – Statement (22.12.2021)

Beautiful women are strong

It shines and does not burn

Several medical and legal authorities have revealed the occurrence of crimes of rape and sexual and verbal violence against the revolutionaries who participated in the December 19, 2021 million millionaires.

It is not new or alien to these forces and militias with a shameful and filthy record. They have practiced it before in the massacre of valiant sit-ins in the General Command and the states, as they carried out against the lofty Sudanese women in Darfur, the Nuba Mountains, the Blue Nile, and before that in the beloved South Sudan.

We condemn in the strongest terms these crimes, which confirm that the military coup coalition and its civilian cover are trying to use the crimes of rape and sexual violence as a weapon against the revolutionaries, in order to break the power of Sudanese women and their wide participation in the revolutionary and resistance scene since December 2018, this overwhelming presence of women in processions, strikes, and other forms and tools of revolutionary action terrifies the forces of the counter-revolution, and indicates the depth of the glorious December Revolution’s roots, goals and objectives in the conscience of our people.

We affirm our full support for all vigils, processions, and all forms of resistance announced by the resistance committees and feminist and demanding bodies to confront these crimes and demand their cessation and the accountability of the perpetrators.

Supporting the struggles of Sudanese women and enhancing their participation in political and social life and the public sphere is an authentic root of the Sudanese revolution, and the victory of Sudanese women over the obsolete repressive hegemony machine in all its forms and sources, and its liberation from its shackles, are prerequisites and prerequisites for the victory of the glorious December revolution and reaching its goals.

Long live the struggle of the Sudanese women

This revolution is a revolution for girls.. Girls, keep steadfast

Sudan: Hamdok has nowhere to go…

There is reports that Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok is resigning after signing the 21st November 2021 Political (Declaration) Agreement with the Transitional Military Council leaders and Army Commanders, accepting the terms of the army commanders and their second coup d’etat of these gentlemen. When Hamdok did that, he traded his legitimacy and his standing in the general public. As he became a puppet of the army and not a technocrat representing the stakeholders of the civilian organizations or the ones organizing the revolution.

Hamdok is now reported to be resigning. This is a mere weeks into his new agreement and partnership with the Al-Burhan and Hemeti controlled council. A council which is filled with people who aligned with the army and their interests. A Sovereign Council, which has lost it’s edge or trust within the people, as the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) and Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA) isn’t a part of. Therefore, the PM sold himself short being instated this quickly after the second coup of 25th October 2021.

It is hard to believe anything from Hamdok now. He became the puppet and the friendly face of the army commanders who runs the show. Hamdok has no leverage or nothing to counter towards them. With the return of Hamdok, the Sudanese transitional government would hope they had someone who seemed reasonable and legit to the international community. As the technocrat is more of a statesman than Al-Burhan or Hemeti ever will be. A nice figure-head and a voice of the government. However, he would have no power and the agreement is only for show purposes.

The army commanders has no reasons to budge or give way. Hamdok should know this. If he rebels or even would stand-up to these gentlemen. He would easily be house-arrested or drink tea with Al-Burhan in his guest-house again. Like he did after the second d’etat. It is hard to believe the army commanders really wants or needs a man like Hamdok. His just for show purposes. It is not like they will let him reform or follow the will of the revolution. If they did follow these ideals and such, the previous agreements and declarations would have been followed. Alas, there is no signs of becoming or having a civilian government in the Republic. Because, that means the army commanders would have to step-down and give power to civilians to reign over them. Which isn’t seeming likely by the day.

No matter how strong, how resilient or on the barricades the Sudanese people are. The Al-Burhan and Hemeti has no issues creating more martyrs, bloodshed and suffering on their own people. As long as they rule supreme and the civilians are beneath them. That’s how things seems and Hamdok just have a role a play.

What is striking now… if Hamdok resigns it is not like the FFC will take him into open arms. Neither will any of the rebel-groups who signed off on the new Sovereign Council. There will be no love lost between him or the SPA. So, the FFC and SPA will not be favourable to a man that betrayed the cause and tried to silence the will of the people. He tried to undermine the revolution and become the man himself, which clearly haven’t worked. As it wasn’t intended for him to be someone in the first place. He was just a puppet and he couldn’t figure that earlier…

Hamdok has signed and sealed his faith by going into the agreement with the army commanders. There is no return for this man. He betrayed the cause and the revolution. The people and the ones on the streets of Sudan will not forgive him for that. As the ones in power continue to injure, hurt and kill civilians demonstrating for their rights. Alas, his one of them and that will forever be part of legacy.

There will be no tears shed when he resigns. Yes, the devil you don’t know is maybe worse than the current devil you do know. However, whoever taking this role will only play the facade and for the banquets. The man who meets and greets, be the friendly face of the rulers. He will not be a respected man or a face of promise or hope. That is long gone. Neither will never return with Hamdok. That ship has sailed and he did it all by himself.

No matter if he resigns or not. There is no way he can return into good favours now. He sold out and that’s the price he has to pay. There is no atonement or road to redemption. There been to many lives taken and life touched by the people he associated himself with. Peace.

Sudan: Forces of Freedom and Change – A statement about the occurrence of crimes of sexual violence among the crimes of the brutal coup authority in the dispersal of the processions for the liberation of Khartoum (20.12.2021)

Our proud people;

Within the series of crimes and violations that the forces of the coup d’état have systematically committed against the unarmed revolutionaries since the coup on October 25, reliable medical and human rights sources and the Unit for Combating Violence against Women monitored the occurrence of a number of sexual assault cases yesterday in the center of the capital during the dispersal of the protest marches for the liberation of Khartoum.

Where some of them are currently undergoing treatment after being subjected to severe physical and psychological harm, in a despicable and miserable attempt by the putschists, opportunists and remnants of the former regime to limit the participation of women and young girls in the mass movement resisting their brutal authority.

Our victorious people;

We in the Central Leadership Council of the Forces of Freedom and Change value the struggles of Sudanese women throughout the history of Sudan and their remarkable contribution to the glorious December revolution, and to the resistance to the brutal coup of October 25, and we salute her amazing resilience and steadfastness that still defeats the arrogance of dictatorial regimes.

In every round, it proves its inability to extinguish the flames of the revolution of our free people, and we see that the crimes of rape and sexual assaults committed by the brutal coup forces require investigations by international legal bodies, which lead to bringing all the perpetrators to justice.

We also hold the coup authority fully responsible for it, and it is not in isolation from all the murders, assassinations and all violations, including the massacre of the general command’s sit-in, and we stress that these facts will only increase our people and their revolutionary forces with will and determination.

To sweep this overturned junta, whose days are numbered, and then establish a purely civil authority to complete the process of civil democratic transformation.

Long live our people free and victorious
