Opinion: Bobi Wine needs to serenade the authorities before he gets a go sign

What we learned today from CP Fred Enaga Presser on the People Power Movement and Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine newly scheduled consultations as a Presidential Candidate ahead of 2021 elections, which is bound to happen in about a weeks time. Now, the Police Force are asking for more. Even as the People Power Movement have notified and delivered their paperwork on locations in time.

Still, CP Enaga said the PPM could just give a letter and go. Well, has the officer read the Public Order Management Act of 2013 himself. Which states: “5. Notice of public meeting. (1) An organizer shall give notice in writing signing by the organiser or his or her agent to the authorised officer of the intention to hold a public meeting, at least three days but not more than fifteen days before the proposed date of the public meeting” (POMA, 2013).

This is very clear, Mr. Officer, that as along as the organizer and their agent has informed the Police within three days ahead of an public meeting. They are kosher and good. That is after the laws, which the Police Force is supposed to enforce. There doesn’t state or any stipulation that the People Power Movement have to kneel, go into any police station in the Republic and ask directly for permission to hold any public meetings. There are no law saying that at this point. The law is clear, even as vindictive and monitoring it is.

This laws gives the police possibility to manoeuvrer and enforce their control over an building and make the owners stop it from happening. Which it has been able to do before, to block venues and close the people from gathering at these places. The POMA is giving the space the Police needs to do this without having any wire-tap, any direct spyware or any other expensive equipment to collect data on the opposition. The POMA gives way for that.

That is why the Police Force is moving the Goal Post. When the Spokesperson for the Police is saying a letter of intent isn’t enough. They have already held extra meetings, which neither decreed, stipulated nor put forward in law. If not, than the UPF and the NRM needs to invent invisible laws.

I’m sure CP Enaga and ACP Namaye wouldn’t mind a free concert on ‘One Love Beach’ with the Firebase Crew and all the associates of Bobi Wine. Maybe then he would be allowed to hold some meetings. If not, at least he got to perform and was allowed to do that for a little minute. But don’t expect this to happen.

I expect more blocked venues, more tear-gas, more arrests and lack of political space for Bobi Wine. Because, the Police Force has other rules for him. There is no way in hell he can comply, if he does A, they will ask for B; and if he does B, they will ask for C.

He can buy the shoes, shine them, iron his suit, clean his SUV and be ready to travel across the Republic. Nevertheless, expect it all to be dirty. Even if he was dressed smart, but looks like rag when the Police is done with him.

Seemingly, Bobi Wine needs to go to every Police Station and serenade the Officers, sing soft tunes of love and harmony before they let him go. Not that it will change anything, because there is no law saying he needs to do it. However, they will say so.

That he needs a sit-down and put every single scenario into paper and be humble before them. Like a little child who went out, even if the parents had given him curfew. The Police have given Bobi Wine curfew, even if there are law directly putting that on him. Peace.

Opinion: Mwenda must be blind..

I don’t know,when he became a lost one. I don’t what happen or changed Andrew Mwenda, but surely at one point, he gave up and ate the whole plate served in-front of him. Sure, it was more flamboyant, than what he had ever been offered in opposition and as s sceptical human being. Now, his a defender of the indefensible and he continues to run on that path.

We know that his retaliating against the opposition, when his recent piece is named this:” Inside Bobby Wine’s crass opportunism in Ziggy Wyne’s death”. That is the headline of the piece he wrote today, he didn’t even care to write Bobi Wine, but Bobby, like Ricky Bobby of Talladega Nights. That’s what’s has become of this man.

“People Power is a movement without a cause except to grab power. It seeks so exploit the anger many Ugandans have at the state of affairs of in our country in order to gain power. But it has neither facts not a vision to justify its reckless pursuit of power. So its strategy is to deny all facts and insist that everything is subjective and relative; to dismiss all evidence as forged if it does not promote their political agenda; and to argue that every argument that seems to favor President Yoweri Museveni and his NRM is not based on conviction but has been paid for. It is interesting People Power resembles the Donald Trump movement in the USA although Americans who support it are anti Trump” (Mwenda, 14.08.2019).

We can clearly, see by this paragraph alone where Andrew stands on the issue. It isn’t rocket science, neither is it exceptional. As his rants against Defiance and Besigye will become legendary and age like old open cans of coke. You just know the fuzz, the sugar and the taste will dwindle. The same with this sort of rant is this.

“The aim of this strategy is obvious: bully everyone to believe change is urgently needed to rescue Uganda from catastrophe. They don’t want people to question the change they propose or ask for their alternative policies or even question their intolerant behavior. To question their lack of policy alternatives and the crudeness of their methods is evidence of having been bribed by Museveni” (Mwenda, 14.08.2019).

We shouldn’t even be bothered with the assertions here, as they are like a leaf on the wind. Like he doesn’t the lack of policy, the lack of guidance and even moves ahead from Museveni himself. As, he even needs the Youths of Mbabazi to move forward. The ironies of this statement is so many, plenty even. Mwenda thinks he can turn this around. Since, he knows how Museveni operates and therefore, it is without a doubt he tries to make the new movement looking silly.

“Yet Defiance and its bastard child, People Power, have failed to subdue the spirit of our nation. Increasingly many journalists like Canary and many others are finding the courage to stand up for the truths and defend it against this demented cult. The story of Ziggy Wine is one such example. These are the journalists who have chosen to swim against the tide of popular rhetoric and self-righteous indignation common among sections of our society today. They have chosen to defend right when it is miscalled wrong, to fight vices such us intolerance, radical extremism, blackmail, slander etc. that are presented to us as virtues” (Mwenda, 14.08.2019).

Well, he had to take a torch against his arch-nemesis, the defiance campaign and Besigye, because he seems to think the People Power Movement is kid of these actions. They might be inspired, they are even working together towards the same goal. A peaceful transition post-Museveni. We know, that Mwenda see this as a radical idea, because he cannot eat as plenty post-Museveni. Unless, he defer from his stances and tries look more objectively.

Mwenda wants the public to eat of the hand of the government. The hand of the government, that has changed a story and not come forward with binding evidence or even proof of its allegations. That is also questioned by the family of Ziggy Wine himself, the friend and artist, who worked together with Bobi Wine. It seems like Andrew trying to split this and not even considering anything else, than the handpicked assertions put forward, because that cleans the hands of the NRM.

That he calls People Power a bastard and a demented cult. Says more about his own place in the Movement and behind the chambers of Museveni. As he has to undermine and excel utter negligence of the Sole Candidacy and One Man with a Vision narrative of the NRM. Which he so strongly stand by at this point. The words and the rhetoric of this man, shows that his so obsessed defending Museveni and his ways. That he even forgets how the one-man show and self-styled President for life, expect loyalty and to follow his vision. That he is so blind and forgetful. It is a mystery, that he could even see the keyboard, when he was typing his article.

Nevertheless, enough of this nonsense. What a about a cup of tea? Peace.

Well, if your telling a lie. Please make it so straight forward, so that the public cannot catch you up in a lie. That seems to be the story of Michael Kalinda aka Ziggy Wine. There are too many fault lines, that has to be shown. To show the magicians of spin, the Andrew Mwenda’s of the world and his ilk like his step-son Canary Mugume. That they should tell the same story and not switch it up.

First, use the right Boda-Boda. They used a wrong colour and with the wrong tags. If Ziggy Wine would drive it, it should be another one.

Secondly, not use one of the same witnesses as before. ASP Hellen Butoto has been the Police witness before, she was said to be a teacher, but apparently she’s a part of the police force. Surely, the other witnesses the state has produced that saw the same thing. Can clearly be put into question too, as the one big-shot in this investigation is a fire-ball in it self.

There are already enough things that put it into question as it is. There isn’t just mere speculation. It is that the family was barred from seeing Ziggy Wine in the hospital. That he was just delivered to the hospital without knowledge of what happened to him. There is alleged damage to his skull in a supposed accident. However, there is also words of losing of fingers and poking out an eye in a torture session done to Firebase Entertainment artist and part of the People Power Movement. This can clearly be true too.

Especially, since there is three different stories and so many factors mismatching. That the spin-doctors has lost their touch. As well, as the words of mouth, that the dying man himself is alleged to have said to his doctors that he was “Bankubye” meaning they have beaten me. This means something totally different than falling off and hitting his from a boda. Neither having an accident with others on a boda.

There are sisters, teacher (happening to be police officer) and so on. Telling different stories. While his death is still a mystery. Like a vanished plot. Where you can wonder if the CMI or anyone else did something. Now CP Fred Enaga and the spin-doctors of the regime tries to polish it. But clearly, they are not matching it.

What is special is that the reports, the post-mortem, the CCTV cameras nor been any accident pictures been leaked. Because, there been sudden witnesses telling different stories, produced eye-witnesses whose not coherent at all. Not even blood on the supposed scene of the accident. That just happen to be spotless, when Canary Mugume did his thing on live-air. Nevertheless, there are enough questions arising.

Why did he die? Who needed him dead? What motive is it to possibly kill him? Last, but not least, who earns on the spin of death of the musician connected to Bobi Wine?

Because there are enough questionable dots. I don’t have the answers, but the stories, the open details and the shown issues. Are putting enough into a questionable stage, making you suspicious, that there is more behind stories told. That there are something sinister going on and someone did something vicious to Ziggy. Since, the state, the state-sponsored media and the handlers of the state tries to wash this sin clean.

Just to finish this one off. To just make it even more rare. Is that Ziggy Wine was first admitted to Hope Clinic Kyebando on the 21^st July 2019. Later transferred to Mulago admission number 471567/2019. The family was able to trace him on the 27^th July 2019. Dr. Nsambya referred him to Mulago Neurological on the 30^th July 2019. Than he later died on the 4^th July 2019. Now were at the 7^th August 2019 and the stories since haven’t made sense.

It doesn’t make sense to me. What we do know and what has happen is in a murky space. Where there is lacking dots, no matter what the spin-doctors are saying. That differs from the police reports even. Mwenda claims he didn’t eat his pills or take his medicine. Just like that is another smokescreen. If isn’t brain-damage from a boda accident, than its lack of medication so all angles are covered.

So, as I started, next time you lie to the public. Ensure that we cannot spin a web around it and catch you in it. Ensure its so facilitated, that the exhaust will not burn your fingers, your balls and your prefrontal cortex, which you need to function. As the public have seen, heard stories that doesn’t make sense.

Ziggy Wine died, by some means and the Police together with the state media seems to be busy covering it up. If not, why wouldn’t they have a story, evidence and the proof of it at once? Instead of keeping it to themselves and not unleashing to the public. As they are scrambling the stories and not connecting the dots. Peace.

Another Day, Another Bail hearing for Besigye as his treason case is now 413 days old!

To say that Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) leader and former Presidential Candidate Dr. Warren Kizza Besigye Kifefe (as almost everyone knows as Kizza Besigye), knows the court system of Uganda and knows the terms of his proceedings. He is still charged with treason, he was first charged in Moroto Magistrate Court on the 13^th May 2016, which means his pending trial has lasted 1 year 1 month and 17 days in total or 413 days to be exact. That is severe violation and his times for bail hearings has been steady since then. Before this at least twice he has already vowed not to come back to Nakawa Court. Which isn’t strange, but that he does again today. Hopefully he will continue with defiance within his own realm, since that is needed. The State is clearly stalling time and keeping him at bay, with the easy monitoring of his acts and appearances all around in the Republic.

Here is today’s statement after being again at the Nakawa Magistrate Court after another bond/bail-hearing:

“Some time back, I had decided not to come to Nakawa court, but at that time, my bail reporting which was at the high court (Registrar) was shifted to Nakawa Magistrate Court. I have been reporting here both for bail and therefore for appearance in the Magistrate Court. I think the time has come to also say no to the bail because it is the bail that was still bringing me here. So I have informed my lawyer that I will not come back to this court over this matter. They can cancel the bail, I have no problem at all- they can cancel the bail and take me back to prison if that is their wish. From today, I will not come back to Nakawa Magistrate court for appearance or for bail. I will not appear in this court on 1st, Sept, 2017.” – Dr. Kizza Besigye

All who has followed the situation or understand the simple plain fact, that if the government had a case against Dr. Kizza Besigye, it would been in the works and the bail-hearings would just continue. Since they haven’t really started any investigation or planned anything. If it was so, there would be more collecting evidence against him and the FDC Party. Because if this was a serious case, they would have done more with the first days after the General Election in 2016 and the Swearing-In.

But the Police Force and the State Legal Team hasn’t considered or done so, this has been for a show and been to keep the FDC and Besigye occupied. Not a serious charge, neither an honest investigation into the supposed crimes against the state. If the republic really feared Besigye and though of him as an arch-criminal, they would have made sure he was indicted and gone through the court process. Therefore, the whole operation has been to stop him from working against the state. But not really trying him for treason.

Unless, they have reports and affidavits of the ones knowingly of his acts of treason comes forward, unless the justices and judges are making a case worth damn. Which seem unlikely at this point, since May 2016 has left, the same has May 2017. Its over a year and nothing. Tiwali, non, any kind of way you say nothing. Besigye if he had done anything treacherous they would have actually gotten the intelligence and the culprits together with him. They would have all been soaking time in Nalufenya. Were none of the bandits that tried to counter the state are kept. Certainly a man who does a treasonous usually doesn’t do it alone.

But hey, maybe the Republic and the Courts has some answers for their one period of keeping the suspense and has some secrets at the Okello House, as there usually all acts of the State is sanctioned from. Peace.

Opinion: NRM works on overtime to delegitimize the FDC though various media, since they are themselves an illegitimated regime!

There are running battles between the shadows of the Movement and the Forum for Democratic Change has been going on for a while. This has happen as Secretary General Nathan Nandala-Mafabi wrote this in the EALA Nomination letter to the 10^th Parliament wrote: “These clearly spell out the positions of the Ruling Party and the Official Opposition Party in the multiparty democracy. In regard to numerical strength. EAC Treaty is also clear on multiparty democracy”.

So now that the FDC is the official opposition party and not the winner of the General Election 2016, even though the rigging master Eng. Dr. Badru M. Kiggundu of the Electoral Commission and the deputy chief justice Stephen Kavuma had to ban the campaign of defiance, that was the Presidential Candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye who run hard against the ruling party and the ruling regime of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his National Resistance Movement.

So with that in context, the months after has been smeared with irregularities and malfunctions as the NRM and their Police has targeted FDC with full force. This they did with detaining members and leaders without court order, house-arrests, blocking of the headquarters and all sorts of other injustices done with an ordinary fashion of contempt of the constitution and law. These have been done as the 10^th Parliament was sworn-in and the President was busy having dignitaries from Turkey and South Korea.

Now that 2017 has arrived and ever since December 2016 the Independent Magazine editor and founder Andrew Mwenda has gone all wild on social media. At the same time TVO has disgraced him and his magazine. The graceful attempts have not been there as the words have addressed each other in fashions that would be in bars and not all in public. So Mwenda are using all tricks with his connections as he even seemingly has traded his popularity and his work ethic for goods from the ruling regime. Because he has gone from being a fierce critic of the Movement and now he defends them.

With this in mind Mwenda has attracted and attacked with more and more staunch words, even as he becoming a laughing stock and a wild-card. Even if he would have pieces of truth, the spin and the propaganda fashion of it all is spoiling facts that might be there. Just like Uganda Media Centre and Hon. Ofwono Opondo spills the beans and defends the Movement with all means. Though his entitled way of sounding more like a NRM Spokesperson than a man who is government spokesperson is showing the transgression of the party itself; just like the NRM inner party election for the EALA done over two days there.

This is still not an issue in nation of Uganda and under the rule President Museveni, which want to be legitimate by every mean possible. Therefore he uses the media and false stories on NTV Uganda where the Party Constitution of FDC is in question. As NTV Uganda wrote yesterday:

“A plan to amend the constitution of Uganda’s main opposition party, the Forum for Democratic Change could cause a huge rift among its members if it goes through. The plan is to change clauses in the constitution to allow former FDC leaders another go at the helm of the party. According to the movers, many of FDC’s past leaders have been rendered useless to the party and yet they still have a lot to offer.” (NTV Uganda, 08.02.2017). However, as the story unfolded the FDC leadership debunked the story, Besigye said he would never run as a candidate under that or heard about it. TVO came out saying it was Mwenda who was the source and Hon. Francis Mwijukye wrote this about the farce:

“ Am told that there was a confusing story on NTV last evening about ammending the FDC constitution. Will be hosted on NTV Uganda 8.00 to 8.30am today morning. Let me go and make it clear. I think I was misquoted” (…) ”We were asked about the future of former FDC leaders and party founders. All I said was that I would support an inclusion in the party constitution of a party organ to deal with a council of Elders whose sole role would be to advise where necessary and for institutional memory. There was nothing like allowing former leaders to compete for top FDC positions in the party asked to me. Otherwise I can’t support that amendment” (Mwijukye, 08.02.2017).

When the higher echelons from the FDC are addressing the matter nearly simultaneously with the clip of the story aired, there are clear indications of malpractices in the standard. The NTV surely did this for political purposes. Just as there we’re reports that NTVs Sheila Nduhukire did directly celebrate with the NRM Party when they had done their EALA Primary Elections at the State House. Certainly the media and media houses are getting to close to the ruling regime.

We can just expect that government fuel illegitimate stories in their portrayal to demoralize and legitimize their own existence in power. Because they cannot do it by their own merit anymore, that gravy train left the station long time ago. They will use all means to establish and make the blatant ignorance of Mwenda and use their connections in NTV Uganda to portray the FDC as wolfs or even better wolf in sheep’s clothing.

The NRM and the Movement cannot sell the truth at this point, because that will undress their own existence and their own established fanfare of just cause. The probable cause that has left long time ago, the decades of bribes, thieving and misgivings has now caught up with them. The rigging and ill-forced ways are now what entitles people and therefore EALA elections are ugly instead of silent shows of democratic balloting. The NRM has to use the media and spin to make their biggest threat FDC into a shambolic affair of political charade. Since they have the ability themselves to make itself look unwise.

So the spins and the lies of deception will continue to fluster from the NRM and their media hawks, but still the truth will shine in the end. Peace.

Besigye not returning to Nakawa Court over the forged “Treason” Charges!

Kizza Besigye: “It’s costly both in time and resources to keep coming to this court for charges that are not going anywhere. I would like to respectfully tell you that I will not be coming back to this court over this matter” (NBS TV Uganda, 25.01.2017)

It’s been now months upon months end. He has been back and forward between the courts and the prisons to address a treason charge that has gone nowhere. It is in the air, but not letting the man himself breath. The man we are talking about is the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Dr. Kizza Besigye get rest.

The Police Force and the legal instruments continues to pound on the man, they continue to fling his flesh into court, without new evidence or affidavits to salvage a case; therefore the preliminary acts should be to dissolve and stop working on the case. Stop wasting time in the courtroom and use of space for real cases of breaches of law. That is not something the National Resistance Movement regime has any indication of caring about. They just want to silence the Opposition leader and continue to keep him at bay. Since he has bail-hearings coming every month at the Nakawa Court and the Kabale Magistrate Court that still works on forged case since Walk to Work demonstrations back-in-the-day.

They are continuing to issuing new legal breaches without evidence or any concurring acts of evil intent. This is happening on a basis of silencing him and stopping him from having an ordinary life and stopping his work as a political figure in Uganda. That is the real wish of the Courts and the NRM Regime. To stop Besigye from acting and talking, questioning and achieving the dismantling of their rule.

The ploy and gig is up. It should be in the wind. The horns of deluded mindful ignorance of the ruling regime should be stop and the curve of just rule should appear. However, the reality is that FDC and Besigye can still get under hot water and taken by the law without any consideration.

We are here at a crossroad or junction where the fraud and fiction is more close to the reality than the truth and facts. If mere facts, evidence or even affidavits actually presented to the court, if witnesses and proof of the alleged crimes had materialized to the court. Than the case would matter and the alleged treason charge would mean something. However, at this point it don’t and it doesn’t, it is mere fiction from the NRM regime. A tale of long standing grievences against the opposition and their leaders continue with impunity and injustice. Peace.

Kizza Besigye’s document on Police ‘Acknowledgement of Prisoner’s Property’ (16.11.2016)

Besigye tear-gassed and still arrested at Kiira Road Police Station!

As he earlier in the day left the Nakawa Magistrate Court and drove further down Gyaza Road, the Police incepted him as the crowds around his. As usual the Police starting towing the White Van from the area and unto the compound of the Kiira Road Police Station. Something that has dozen times in past and not the first, nor the last time Dr. Kizza Besigye, the nemesis of Museveni will end there.

So the Kampala Metropolitan Police has decided to let him be in his cars for ours. Not allowed to leave it or let anybody see him. As the Police Officers in and around their compound has tear-gassed the area. Which means that they have tear-gassed Dr. Kizza Besigye and the people around the Police Station. This all has happen without any indication of the crime or reason for the day’s arrest of Besigye. Another proof of the ignorant belligerent Police Force currently working under President Museveni.
