Opinion: Mwenda is prefixed for Mzee [and dissmissing Bobi Wine along the way]

Today on Facebook, the pseudo-intellectual and journalist Andrew Mwenda dropped another hit-piece on the opposition, titled: My Problem with Bobi Wine and his supporters. This is not shocking and this is to be expected. He has written countless of similar texts in concern to Dr. Kizza Besigye. So, his just reformulating it to fit People Power Movement and Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine at this point.

We all know he has a “secret love-affair” with the President. That deep down in his heart he has passionate feelings and endearing opinions about him. Mwenda would wish he could join bonds and become a Spokesperson at the State House or get appointed to run the Uganda Media Centre. We all know that, because the Ad revenue of the Independent Magazine isn’t really all that. This is why he writes pieces like this in hope that somewhere along the lines that Museveni notice and gives him a heads-up.

Like for instance this part of his piece, which is such barren of his intellect:

If Bobi Wine became president, he has to reward his riffraff supporters with jobs. But they lack basic skills or experience for professional jobs. He cannot force the private sector to hire them. Neither can he recruit them into the state’s professional jobs. The only place he can hire them is in security services – army, police and intelligence organisations – which are always the dumping grounds of the lumpen supporters in poor countries” (Mwenda, 2020).

What is funny and tragic about this is that the President has hired and feeding the same folks that Mwenda addresses as Riffraff. The same people that Mwenda calls uneducated and lumpen. These are the citizens, who the President has represented for 34 years and not given opportunities too. It shows by all margins wher ethe state has failed and they are pinching the blame on Bobi Wine for elevating the same citizens. It is really a unique trait to undermine the same fellows that has grown up under the regime your defending. Like the President just last year gave a job and title to Jennifer Full Figure and Butchaman, both uneducated ghetto personalities. However, that is not an issue for Mwenda, right? They are skilled for that work, since he brushes that off?

He continues later in the piece:

Now under HE Bobi Wine, these lumpens will be the men and women in charge of Internal Security Organisation, police and army. They will be the ones collecting and analysing intelligence. President Bobi Wine himself will be intellectually handicapped to distinguish fiction from fact, slogans from policy. This is the raw material from which destructive tyrannies have historically been nurtured” (Mwenda, 2020).

It is just like the great mind of Mwenda forgets, that Museveni wasn’t all the well versed in politics. Yes, he gotten a position in Obote’s second cabinet and was a force to be reckoned with as he had a private army. However, Mwenda doesn’t think Bobi Wine can get experts to help him out and willingly want to serve him with advice? Not like the President today has all the brightest mind leading the various ministries and government agencies? They are all loyal subjects and underlings awaiting their pay-checks. The fiction he talks about is the one that only one man can rule and Bobi Wine cannot pick people. Not like the President haven’t picked foolish and ignorant leaders to lead these agencies and utterly failed, right? It is like this man forgetting the ills he wrote against Kayihura and Tumukunde, who both are now gone. They were not magicians, but loyal subjects to their king.

Then it’s the predestined journey Bobi Wine will apparently have:

So I find it difficult to embrace any and every opposition politician simply because they oppose Museveni. Africa has seen so many critics of government coming to power through a wave of populism. Except for a few exceptions, they have turned out to be worse than the ones they removed. Our nations have seen very many changes of government without much change in the quality of governance” (Mwenda, 2020).

Here we see the ever returning Orwellian belief that anyone taking over after a tyrant, have to become a tyrant himself to succeed. The nightmare turning into a genocide. The hero turning into a villain, when the person get into office. Because, there is no way Bobi Wine can turn good, listen to people and try to figure out the game from the office. It is not like Bobi Wine can negotiate or hold talks to secure safer passage of people. He just have to copy the President, burn royal palaces and send kings into exile. That is just what big-men do. Bobi Wine has to comply to that distorted narrative.

Yes, power corrupts, but his associates and his allies has to keep him in check. As well, as legal boundaries and measures to safeguard the public. Which all Presidents should have and not be ruled on the whim like the current affairs. The ones you have no trouble with and the governance that comes out from “high above”. It is just amazing.

Just like the ending of his piece:

It is therefore saddening that Ugandan elites clamouring for Bobi Wine are silent on the lack of values among the forces propelling this upstart in politics. Even worse is the lack of any policy alternative for Uganda. Surely, if opposition to Museveni blinds anyone to the thuggish character of Bobi Wine’s supporters, then this country is headed for disaster” (Mwenda, 2020).

Mwenda surely has the magical eightball, the psychic visions that he sees. That he has the out of body experience, as a village healer and the crystal ball to foresee the future ahead. We don’t need Nostradamus or anyone else. When we have Mwenda! He has seen everything already! He understand everything and everyone.

However, let me get serious again. I’m sure several of people was dismissing Museveni as an upstart too. He wasn’t always the old man, but a young minister and a visionary. Just like Bobi Wine is seen by some today. He became MP quickly and beat the odds. Proven his stamina and his placement in the world. Not someone to easily dismiss and throw under the bus. That is why Mwenda drops this piece today. Just to prove himself to the public, yet again.

It is nevertheless, not a well taken piece, neither is it smart nor have valid points. Only underscore the deep love he have for the current status quo. That he wants it to go as it does, because that suits him and his associates. This is why he speaks ill of Bobi Wine. Mwenda don’t know where he will be, if Museveni is gone. That might end some of those important envelopes and business deals he has in shadows.

Therefore, it is what it is. Neither provoking nor greatness. Just pure nonsense in the ordinary format of Mwenda. Another love story for the President and disgruntled claims, which can be debunked easily. Unless, he shows up at NBS Television with a crystal ball and says he saw the future. Then explained the madness in-front of his eyes. Peace.

Nabilah Naggayi Sempala MP got the memo: ACCESS:DENIED

The Queen has made a move. Now the other side has to do their own chess game maneuver” – Nabilah Naggayi Sempala (15.07.2020).

You cannot make this up, but the one claiming the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) lies as much as the National Resistance Movement (NRM). The Woman Representative in the 10th Parliament for FDC, Nabilah Naggay Sempala have been denied and not allowed to pick the nomination forms for becoming Lord Mayor of Kampala.

If there is ever a fall from grace. This one for the ages. That Nabilah is both cut out of the race for Woman Representative in the FDC and Lord Mayor. Means that she is practically kicked out of the party. Who knows what she will do now. She has already disassociated herself with People Power. Who knows, if she just joins the Justice Forum, Alliance for National Transformation or even the NRM.

As stated:

Drama at FDC headquarters as Hon Nabilah Naggayi Sempala’s nomination form is rejected for submitting her forms a day after the deadline” (NBS Television, 15.07.2020)

So, the current MP since 2011. The former Wakiso Councillor are now in a limbo. It is self created. In 2015 she was jumping ships between Go Forward and the FDC. She was even spotted at a rally with Museveni. Who knows what politicking she will do now.

Seems like she knows that her popularity and her track-record in Parliament isn’t that great. While Dr. Stella Nyanzi is a hard-core activist who has won people’s heart in the meantime. Also, her poetry is spelling out her vision.

Something, that cannot be said about Nabilah. Who knows where her heart is and what she stands for. She is very good at blaming others and boosting her own ego. Whatever else, I don’t know. I have not seen legislation, motions or anything substantial. Cannot remember that. Has she even spoken in parliament during the last few years? It is so hard to tell.

What is really striking she was attacking the same party just two years ago. The one she has served in Parliament for 7 years for. Been campaigning for. Now it has ditched her and not given her leeway. Certainly, her actions has backfire and Nyanzi has also taken away her automatic position in the party.

That is why she aimed for Lord Mayor. However, that door was already closed. She got ACCESS:DENIED. There are no entry.

I am just awaiting a storm brewing, as she will do something off the chain and blame Besigye. Blame POA and all the secretariat. While, I am sure she could have looked up the internal deadlines for picking forms within the party. However, she’s been a Honourable for so long. That she thought she could get away with it. Peace.

Opininon: The Ghost of Kantinti should haunt the FDC [and the rise of Bobi Wine]

That the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) nominated the nullified MP Apollo Kantinti to stand as a Flag-Bearer in the Kyadondo East By-Election in 2017 should be a friendly reminder what the FDC leadership did wrong. What has transpired since, has been a growing momentum and popularity politically towards the Independent MP and Opposition Leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. Who won the By-Election in 2017 over Kantinti. The loser has since then needed to go to court over bankruptcy.

We all know what has happen since and the groundwork the MP has done with his People Power Movement. A rising movement that even the People’s Government and Dr. Kizza Besigye have gone in coalition in. Which is just a small time ago that Bobi Wine and Besigye formed the United Forces for Change (UFC).

The FDC is really not pulling their weight, when the Party President Patrick Oboi Amuriat (POA) is saying this in a interview these day:

It is very early to say that. What if Bobi Wine joins FDC tomorrow? For us we maintain an open door policy, he may change his mind and say I think I want a home. He is welcome to join FDC any time he wants and then he will be weighed against the other candidates” (Derrick Wandera – ‘Uganda: Bobi Should Join FDC If He Wants Coalition With Us, Says Amuriat’ 12.07.2020, Daily Monitor).

This is a bit late. The tea is freezing. To open the door for Bobi Wine now that he is in the upper echelon. When Bobi Wine get the same treatment by the authorities like Besigye. Than you want him to become part of the FDC? Also weigh him with others? Seriously?

Why should he step down and await vetting in the FDC? When he can run on own platform and own merit?

Because the same FDC said this before the Kyadondo East By-Election:

Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] will not support popular musician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine in the yet-to-be scheduled Kyadondo East by-election, party officials have said. The party said it will instead support Apollo Kantinti, its flag bearer in 2016, whose election was nullified by the High court and the nullification upheld by the Court of Appeal last week” (Baker Batte Lule – ‘FDC to Bobi Wine: wait for 2021’ 05.05.2017, Observer).

With this in mind, the party followed party protocol and let Kantinti stand again. However, with that they lost Bobi Wine too. As someone who has shown political finesse and ability beyond Wakiso district and Kyadondo East.

Bobi Wine is so big, that the President has tried to sing Elvis “In the Ghetto” to the public at times. That is why the FDC did wrong and should be humble in concern of Bobi Wine. They are the ones that lost out. That they are having talks and a coalition is showing progress in concern of results together as opposition. However, POA is not showing grace and demeanour, which understands what the People Power are brining right now.

The momentum isn’t on Besigye. It is on Bobi Wine. Nothing wrong with Besigye. He has carried the mantle, been the man in the line of fire and deserves credit for his hard labour. However, FDC doesn’t have Bobi Wine, because they played him wrong. That’s why the Party President of FDC acts like this. He wants to be the giant, but forgetting what they did themselves. It is not like he needed a party in the last election and he has only grown stronger since then. That is just common sense by now.

POA could have had the courage to show some humility, but instead he wants to bamboozle others. Hoping nobody see the game his playing. FDC is fighting for the good cause, so is the People Power Movement and they can do it together. However, that should be done by consensus and fair game. Not walking over one party and expecting it to roll over.

The FDC could have done better, hindsight 20/20 is always easier, than actually making good decisions in the moment of time. Still, the FDC is haunted by the ghost of Kantinti. He follows them and that’s why they cannot steer the conversation or get Bobi Wine totally on board. Instead, they have to talk and negotiate with him. This because of a simple mistake in 2017. Peace.

Opinion: Expect the Movement to celebrate mediocrity ahead of 2021

It isn’t enough that socialites like Zari Hassan is steering the conversation. That Bad Black switches camp and Jennifer Full Figure is all in this game. That Jose Chameleone trying to play both defence with the Democratic Party and offence with People Power Ticket. Meanwhile, Muntu and Mao will play second fiddle to Bobi Wine and Besigye. That is just the ways things are in the opposition ahead of 2021.

We all see this coming. But, expect one thing. The mediocre results will be cooked into greatness. The results since 1986 will be served like Michelin Star meal on high street. While the reality its a knock-off steak with very burned fries. Not really the high appeal nor the class its supposed to have.

The National Resistance Movement will use all its channels. Their Social Media Warriors, the media personnel they have hired. The UBC/NBS will be full fledged propaganda channel. Radios owned by sympathizers and own MPs will spread the message. All tarmac, all policies and pledges will be served like hot lava.

The NRM wants to look like the golden goose. They want to look like they did something. That they were meaningful and made a difference. These people will proclaim to be democratic, but the first moment a real opposition put its feet out. He or she will be arrested like a chicken thief.

The NRM will speak of infrastructure and rising development projects. However, they will not speak of foreign loans, grants and donors paying the high price of spiked prices. The most expensive road in the world nor the quality of tarmac or the work done by Chinese contractors. No, they will spread the message of the most tarmacked roads in the Republic. Because, who needs a functioning railway, who needs roads built for the rain or the upgrade of ferries. No, that is just hogwash.

The NRM will speak of its agriculture exports. Which it has amassed. Like it isn’t Nespresso and other foreign companies doing the bidding. Like the coffee exports before its time was good too. Not like the output didn’t matter in the past and the cash-crop idea is an old gift that keeps giving. No, they will profess magic. Even if the Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), the NAADs, SACCOs and now Emyooga are all ugly ducklings of spawned projects waiting for a corruption scandal to come. Like there been no ghosts, bad seedlings and public wasted funds to pay the invisible piper.

The NRM will talk big game on their programs, which haven’t been properly implemented. We can go back to the 10 Point Programme. One of the National Development Programmes, the third edition is coming soon. The Uganda Vision 2020, 2030 or 2030. There are so many plans, but so little will to follow it. Seems like a cash-cow awaiting its next prey to get funding from abroad. You needs some visionary skits to get the comedians from afar paying for dreams.

The NRM will never say all of this. They won’t, because they don’t have a heart. They will come with polished pictures, fine and dandy statements. All sort of numbers. Take the most beautiful schools or hospitals. We did this bitches, but they will not look into depleted ones. The schools forgotten in rural district. They will not care that a hospital haven’t paid its nurses or have cash to pay for electricity. No, they will not speak of that. Neither that teachers are boda-boda drivers on the side, because the salary from the state takes months to come.

The NRM will praise its efforts, its greatness. Yes, the State House is a fortress. The President has a few Presidential Jets. Has a giant convoy of SUVs, even a car for luggage. The man owns the state and they are following his every whim. However, they cannot come with as a slogan or a party program. They have to look smooth, collective and grand. Nevertheless, that doesn’t make it true.

That’s why the drama of the opposition. The entertainment factor, the singers singing songs and the entitlement comes to forefront. That’s why Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone is on one side. Why Bad Black and Zari is on another. That is why the NRM is using Bebe and Ragga Dee, also Full Figure just smash it all together. So, that people forget the mediocrity and life moves on.

Since, everything is about nonsense, about characters who doesn’t carry their weight, but expect the leadership to do so. The Red Pepper Politics, the Onion and the mashed potatoes. Not the reality, the deception and the lackluster offerings of the state.

The NRM hopes their mediocre delivery can be turned to gold. They hope the public adores that and praises their game. Even if they are returning with roots and not with lions. Peace.

Opinion: Mwiru joining Muntu was in the cards

“It is not correct that I belong to either of the camps but I believe that FDC needs a man like Muntu because he is someone who you can rely on. For instance he kept his promise to work with Dr Kizza Besigye. This is what members told him and it is his time now”Paul Mwiru in 2012

The five time winner of Jinja-East Constituency, Paul Mwiru. The MP for FDC since 2011. A man who has been elected, again and again and who has beaten the NRM Candidate Nathan Igme  Nabeta five times in the polls is sticking by his words.

Now 9 years down the line or more than that since he was part of the Reform Agenda, losing to the same canidate in an election in 2006. Have been with the FDC since it restructured. Been in the leadership and therefore, known the people n party from the get-go.

That’s why it’s a bit sour, but with reason that he joins the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT). He was there for the launch of the party last year and today on the 7th July 2020 he has deflected. Meaning he will be standing in Jinja East in 2020 as ANT MP and not as a FDC. The third party he will represent in his career as a legislator. That is if he beats the new FDC candidate or Nabeta scores big like 2006.

The move have been in the cards. He has started the journey with Muntu and been loyal to him. The official move today was expected. It is not shocking, but evidence that Muntu get a powerful ally. A man who has worked tirelessly and been on the frontline. That is why he has been arrested, tortured and incommunicado for a while, while battling the good cause.

Mwiru was part of the New Formation, the ANT from the start. That he joined today wasn’t shocking. It has been anticipated. Just like the move for Muntu to create his own flagship when he failed to get re-elected in the FDC.

That is just the way things are at this point. Mwiru is showing loyalty with this. He already said it 8 years ago. His only living up to those words and doing something about it. Now he has together with the team of ANT have to build up that party. Instead of living on the merits of the FDC.

“Even an ant can hurt an elephant” – South African Proverb

So, let’s see if Mwiru can together with Muntu beat the elephant. The elephant he has opposed all his career. One thing Mwiru, he has shown loyalty to Muntu. Even though he trigged the FDC when he backed Wadri in his by-election and not stood by the FDC candidate.

Paul knows how tactically manoeuvre. This move is yet another one. Now a ANT MP. He believed in Muntu back-in-the-day and today. Showing integrity on this one. Let’s see if that pay-off or is a miscalculated move in 2021. Peace.

Kampala Woman MP Race: One hot-seat!

It is established in the last few days that the contestants for the Kampala Woman MP seat will be a battle. There will be real issues and candidates. The incumbent is not automatic to this slot for MP in 2021.

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Kampala Woman MP Nabilah Nagayi Sempala. Nabilah has been an MP for two terms. She won the 2011 elections and the 2016. The second one, she was bickering between the NRM and the FDC. She has already dismissed the People Power Movement, the movement Besigye has gone in alliance with. Therefore, her standing and her part in the up-coming election is up for grabs.

As Nabilah is challenged in her own party by the Makerere lecturer and activist, Dr. Stella Nyanzi has come forward as the FDC Kampala Woman MP. This means Nabilah isn’t directly entitled to her place, even as an incumbent. There is direct competition just there. No sole candidacy there.

That was just the FDC. There are plenty of others coming up trying to grab this slot.

In the National Resistance Movement (NRM) the ruling party is sending their Presidential Advisor and musician Jennifer Full Figure or Jennifer Nakangubi. It was just last year she got promoted from nothing as an activist within the People Power Movement and went to the NRM. Now, she wants to contest for something. Where there is real competition. Not only the two mentioned, but more as well.

From the People Power Movement, you have the lawyer Shamim Malende, the head of the Woman’s League and Head of Legal for the Movement. She is also putting forward her credentials for the race. After my findings she has been practising law since around 2008.

This is the contestants for the seat before you look into if the Democratic Party will have anyone, if the Uganda Peoples’ Congress will have one too. They might have, the DP had one in 2016, but she became a NRM Member and part of the cabinet after loosing to Nabilah. Who knows what’s their plan this time.

Kampala have been a stronghold for the opposition. The expectations for a FDC MP or People Power MP should be on the horizon here. It just depends on Nyanzi or Malende. Sempala and Full Figure will play second fiddle to those two. I know that will hurt the pride of Sempala especially, since she regards herself highly. Not to talk about the ego and attitude of Full Figure. We know she will cry havoc, if she looses, which she most likely will do.

If Nyanzi get the slot in the FDC this time around. Then we can wonder what plan Sempala have. Secondly, Malende will be hot contestant in consideration with the rise of People Power. Full Figure will be the Ragga Dee of this competition. She might not like that, but just like Ragga she will loose. It just depends how much. Peace.

Opinion: Muntu is the Sole-ANT

I want to operate in an environment where I feel I am trusted by those that I am working with. So colleagues, I don’t want to be unfair to you nor do I want to say that you are being unfair to me” – Gen. Mugisha Muntu on the 25th November 2017

We knew this day was coming when he was tooling around with his “Third Force”. Then months later after consultations launching the Alliance of National Transformation or the ANT. The New Formation or the Third Force, the ANT was launched in March 2019. All the cards was stacked for Muntu. This was Muntu’s team and his allies.

That is why today on the 1st July 2020 the revelation that Muntu would be their flag-bearer was the only way out. There was no other candidate or person who could do this. The National Coordinator. The reason for the founding and launching of the party, Muntu had to be the anointed one.

Not like the renegade MPs supporting him in the launch would dare to challenge Muntu. He left the FDC to be the King. Where he could be trusted, where he wasn’t treated unfair and everyone was listening to him. A place where he could be the MAN and everyone looking up to him. The Fountain of Honour and our dear leader.

Muntu was set to be unveiled for this. Be the Presidential Candidate. That was inevitable. There was no other way out. The National Coordinator and Founder had to go for the prestige and honour. He couldn’t do anything else.

We knew he would be the sole candidate. He will continue his mantra “Country Before Self”, but this enterprise the ANT. Is his sole raid. It is expedition into the unknown. Deep down he knows he cannot win. It is just a matter of how much he looses. However, he will play it out like that, because that is his dream.

Muntu wants to be the MAN. He want it so badly and cannot help himself. Wants the respect and the rank. We could see this from miles away. When he ditched FDC this was the expected outcome.

Now Muntu is the Third Force, the New Formation and the ANT. The man, the myth and the finally the head honcho. However will it be worth it? No, not really. It just matters how much he will patch up the hurt and what he will risk ahead of the 2021 elections. Nevertheless, don’t expect it to be much. His so pragmatic and so careful. Muntu will look at all sides more than twice before he even considers to cross the street. Because the might a cat, a mosquito or a boda-boda passing by. The man don’t want to offend them. Peace.

Opinion: Bobi Wine’s Mission is to end the reign of Museveni

Ugandans need to understand what their Electoral Commission is. They need to know that in this situation, we have a dictator who has been playing around. President Museveni is now facing a generation and dynamics he has never faced before. This is close to a coup” Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine on NBS Morning Breeze (01.07.2020).

Well, this has been stated many times before, but the old man with the hat, the only man with a vision and self-styled President for Life. The Grand Dictator and ruler for Life is curbing the public. The President is putting himself in first before the Republic. That shouldn’t be shocked.

President Museveni will rig 2021 elections. As long as his one the ballot there will be other outcome than victory for him. Bobi Wine can challenge him, but this will not change the end result. The results was prepared and manufactured since 1986. That is just the reality on the ground. Yes, there is a new generation, but are they willing to take the cost or will they take a selfie? Will they go behind the banners and barricade the government buildings? Because that is the need. A revolution like the Republic never seen before. That is what the state needs and they needs leaders to inspire that.

Are you Bobi Wine ready to lead that revolt, stand on the barricades, be in the frontline and risk yourself again? Are you ready? Because, being on the ballot will not give you victory over Museveni. The Chief Rigger and Pre-Ticked Ballots Headmaster since the 1980s. That man will not loose in the polls. He will ridicule you and humiliate you. He will do what he can to bury your cause.

Museveni is at his weakest point. I dare him to a real election. Any candidate comfortable with this joke of a scientific election is working with him. Our mission is to take off Museveni. We are not joking” – Bobi Wine (01.07.2020).

The President might be weak, scared and afraid of the situation his in. Still, he has the military, the authorities and the bank to carry a load. The foreign backers are still doling out money to him to bankroll his operations. He got the guns, the appointed cronies and the greedy zealots will still be behind him. They will be there until they cannot skim the public anymore. This is the reality. Yes, I know the People Power and other opposition are not joking about taking Museveni out.

But you need more than the right words and the will to speak. This has been done plenty of times. The lessons of the past are not reignited. If the President was to weak, he would loose hold of the army, the pseudo army outfits and the Police Force. When he has lost them and the ones bailing him out. Then his on a fishing expedition and not knowing what to catch. Right now, that’s not the drill. His maybe afraid of the virus and catching COVID-19. However, that doesn’t make him reckless, it just makes him strategic and finding reasons to pull social distancing moves to save his grace.

I am here to put an end to the dictatorship. I have no business staying MP when Uganda is still under a dictatorship. This is not about me, Kyadondo was there before I was born. I just have to accomplish my mission now. I am here for a purpose” – Bobi Wine (01.07.2020).

That mission have to be amplified and harden its manners. To just be complicit in the activities of the state will not work. That behaviour has not won any favours in the past and will not challenge the President yet. Bobi Wine need to defy, civil disobedience and use other tools to beat the oppressive government. To be in the polls, on the ballot and campaign will not significantly change it. If that had been the cure, then Besigye would have secured the bill in either 2011 or in 2016. However, he didn’t and the “winner” was Museveni by the hook or by the crook.

The same will happen in 2021. To think otherwise is naive. It will be rigged and it will be a farce, all supported by the “high above” and Bobi Wine will be in the trenches seeking shelter from the rain of bullets. That is the reality and its coming for him quick. Peace.

Opinion: Bobi Wine will enter Luzira before 2021

“What we are going for are elections provided for within the law. We shall hold public rallies, talk to the people and move from district to another because there is no reason whatsoever for us to hold scientific elections”Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine at Press Conference on the 24th June 2020

I don’t want anyone pain, harm or suffering. I don’t, but still I can see on the horizon that Bobi Wine challenging the Self-Styled President for Life, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni only going to end one way. That way is being in bracelets and behind bars.

Not because Bobi Wine is a criminal. Not that his actions deemed fit to be in the pen. No, its just a matter of principal and modus operandi of the state. If you challenge the King, his Court and his Vision. Your practically an outlaw and a outcast. Someone who you can easily arrest, detain and block. That is just how things are.

Not that these ideas, ideals of the state are justified. Hell no, they are just methods of fighting dissidents and silence the opposition. We can all see this and feel it. We have all seen it happen, again and again. The return of the wagon, of the tear-gas, of the anti-riot police and the whole brigade to stop the opposition. Sometimes even barricade their homes, make them a makeshift prison and house-arrest without any warrants. That is just what this state does to its self-created enemies.

Bobi Wine is one of them. His aiming at the throne. He got vast part of the public behind him. A force to be reckoned with by now. That he even dares to do this.

If he does act upon his words. Mark my words. His going to Luzira Prison at one point. He is going there and staying there for a long time. Bobi Wine will be charged with treason, malicious attempts, dismay to public order and such such. That is just what state does. It is inevitable.

Not that I want the man to get this toll, to bear this pain and to carry this load. No, its unjust and unfair. Its injustice in nature and in spirit. The man only causes harm to himself, but further his cause. It’s a justified cause, but its costs. The cost is time and suffering. Something this man has already been through. The same with his ally Dr. Kizza Besigye. He has also gone through this more than once.

If Bobi Wine moves on this. The authorities, the police and army will be on his tail, asap. There will be no redeeming factor there, only begging for mercy. While being in a wagon on the way to Luzira.

The ironic part about this is that Museveni promised a fundamental change when he came to power. However, with time that change has withered, there is no change. Just another head of state who is willing to break the bones of the ones going against him. Peace.

“Scientific” Elections with 15 new counties: These MPs are touched by the changes

The second document released today on the matter

This is common at this day and age, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is carving out new districts and constituencies at a rate where the state functions are not in place. Neither the designated government services either. The only thing that get in place is the high ranking officials for the Parliament. The rest is left hanging and the district, sub-counties and parishes are left alone. Only the big-men eating in the capitol, while the province is starving.

This is the steady business model. Before every election this is happening. There is swift changes of constituencies and sub-counties. In a manner, where the electoral history of the area vanishes and the amount of voters gets squandered. It is all made to ensure possible rigging and tricking with the ballots.

What is interesting that the Cabinet are hitting certain areas. Where the MPs are less popular or where the President the constituency was erased from the map (Buhweju county). We have seen that in our day and now his carving that one out too. Just to secure a possible NRM MPs instead of opposition ones. That is just what he does.

This here is my quick fix list of people hurt by the changes. This is the key MPs who will have changed constituencies or counties, which implicates their voter mass and their reach for ballot in the up-coming elections. Incumbents can struggle with the changes of carved districts. That has been proven before and could easily happen again in 2021. As the Parliament is ushering these in from next year. Just in time for the 2021 General Elections. Peace.
