Opinion: Is Zitto eyeing Shaka or Msigwa’s Office?

In the recent days there has been something weird about Zitto Kabwe, the party leader of Alliance for Change and Transparency (ACT-Wazalendo). Who has been extremely defensive and standing his ground for the wrong utterings of President Samia Suluhu Hassan, as she deliberately or by mistake uttered some wrong figures in the New Years Eve Address.

If this had been the Chama Cha Mapundzi (CCM) party’s Ideology and Publicity Secretary, Shaka Hamdu Shaka. That would have made sense. It is Shaka’s role to make the President look smart and defend her craft. It is the work of the ruling party and the appointed leaders in the Ministry of Finance or the Bank of Tanzania to address the misgivings of the President. You wouldn’t think a critic, an opposition and a supposed rival would defend her. However, Zitto did and he has done to a T.

Kabwe have even used the moral argument and the discussion technique of making it smaller than it is. While also implying that this mistake isn’t important or that vital to begin with. As it doesn’t matter, if the countries foreign exchange is in the millions or the billions. It doesn’t matter if the government spending in the billions or the trillions. That is just a typo… that just how to make a mockery of an attempt to hold the Executive and the Head of State accountable. As she should deliver true numbers and figures. Everyone cannot fact-check and see if the figures are right in a report. That is the gist of it.

I would have also understood this reasoning coming from Director of Information Services and Chief Government Spokesperson of Tanzania, Gerson Msigwa. Who would also defend the CCM and the President. His role and job is to praise works of the government and it’s entities. Just lkike Shaka does as a party official. Alas, both of these gentlemen does what Zitto just did the last few days of the new year.

Maybe it’s tiring to be on the barricades of the opposition in Tanzania. Anyone can oppose and be as blunt as Freeman Mbowe or Tundu Lissu. Someone has to be more gentle and read the room. Maybe that’s the role of Kabwe now. His the gentle spirit and the friendly fire fellow. Who only wants to speak of bigger things like unemployment, poverty and other matters. Since, showing or talking about wrong figures doesn’t matter. Seriously, how can you be this daft?

If you allow without correction things like these. Then your short-sighted defences will backfire, as you have become a crony and a man seeking for office. Instead of actually trying to show yourself to be different from the current regime. There will be no difference with Kabwe or President Hassan. It will be more of the same and nothing ever changes. Just a continuation of CCM and with a ACT Wazalendo banner instead.

I don’t get why Zitto does this and to what gains? To prove that he will defend the government and it’s President? But at what cost and to what extent? Is this how he works as opposition or has he lost the plot? Is it too much pressure and it’s better to become compromised? What gives? I just wonder… because this is weak tea and smells awful.

He better come correct. Because, saying millions and billions doesn’t matter… and is just a typo. Is just a breathtakingly stupid assessment. As his giving way to much credit and the authorities should have come to the aid of the President. If the two gentlemen who his sounding alike these days. That’s what I am getting from this.

So, when are you getting appointed and when is Msigwa or Shaka getting fired? Peace.

Magufuli is now promoted to the gates of heaven

The man who believed in prayers, the man who hated statistics, science and whatever else that he couldn’t control. The man who reigned with an iron-fist. Who was starting his second term and his allies was mentally preparing the world for his third term by amending the constitution. The Tanzanian President has now suddenly died at the age of 61 years old.

This man was John Pombe Joseph Magufuli who was elected first as President in 2015 and again in 2020. Both elections marred with violations and irregularities. The opposition was hoodwinked and toyed around with. The state have monitored them and gone after them. All activists and whistle-blowers have gotten into trouble. Heck, if anyone tried reporting that was negative towards the state. They would get charged with money-laundering or get other charges that wouldn’t get them bail.

Magufuli silenced his critics. His party and allies did whatever they could in his time in office to block dissidents and make life harder for them. The opposition parties had to comply with more restrictive regulations. Media was more monitored and had more stipulations. The online content and everyone broadcasting had to be allowed by the state to do so. They had to pay fees as social media profiles, bloggers and vloggers, and so fourth.

Now, the man that was rumoured to have breathing problems and was under weather for a long time. The man who mocking and not willing to take a global pandemic seriously. The man who didn’t want to act upon the dangers of this virus. That man is now gone. They will say he died of a heart condition. That after the rumours had gone wild for days.

Those rumours can now be laid to rest. Magufuli is here no longer. We know however, they will not state it to be COVID-19 as the government like it’s President have been denying the dangers of this virus. They haven’t even taken the warnings or acted with caution. No, they have said national days of mourning and prayers are the solving remedy. Steamy waters and herbal medicine will cure it. Buying the miracle cure from Madagascar CVO – Tambvy, but that was clearly not the solution or the remedy for that matter.

Magufuli was a hero for many, but a tormentor for many as well. The President of Tanzania will go down in history. However, his legacy will be mixed. That’s because of his own actions. He came in with so much promise, but trashed that. Magufuli will be remembered for the self-inflicted and overbearing control. Where he made the party and the Republic laws after his whims. There will be the ones who will make him martyr and a legend.

Nevertheless, CCM will have him for the books and write his name in stone. Magufuli is now gone. He made his own bed and now he got to sleep in it. When you challenge a pandemic with no tools. It will not hesitate to find a body to further the spread. The President who praised his son for overcoming it and drinking lemon water. Clearly, the same didn’t work on him.

The state will not say it was COVID-19. Though breathing problems and heart condition is a neat way to conceal the truth. Especially, when the same Vice-President the other day said he was working behind desk and busy. Now, within 48 hours she says his dead. Funny that, right?

No, its not. It’s calculated. This cardiac arrest is as suspicious as Pierre Nkurunziza of Burundi last year. The same of state apparatus being mum or silent. Selling one story, but never telling the whole deal. This is the same, but it’s in Tanzania instead of Burundi. Peace.

Opinion: Where is Magufuli Part II?

On the 11^th March the rumours around the whereabouts and the condition of Tanzanian President Joseph Magufuli had gone spiralling out of whack. There been even more striking rumours since then. Some has even stated that his in coma, cardiac arrest or succumbed to the COVID-19 disease and actually died. Therefore the lack of evidence and proof of his location puts it into more questioning.

There has already been rumours of his stay at the Nairobi Hospital in Kenya. Where he a day later was supposed to leave for India in a ventilator in a helicopter ambulance. While another rumour was that he was flying from Nairobi to Dubai and to final destination of Germany. However, nothing of that has been verified or proven. Not even his supposed stay and treatment in Kenya.

What we do know is that nobody has seen him since the end of February on the 27^th February 2021. That is now weeks and its not getting better. The authorities are warning the general public of spreading “malicious” or “fake news” about President Magufuli’s current condition.

This all started with the supposed medical treatment for a possible “breathing problem”. We don’t even know about that, but that could be code for “COVID-19” as that is “extinct” in Tanzania. That is if the words of Magufuli have any value. Then the whole pandemic never hit the Republic and nobody got touched or spread of the virus there. Nevertheless, if the visitors or truck-drivers are spreading it across the borders in the East African Community (EAC).

So we are now 4 more days after the spiralling rumours… still no official verdict. His supposed to sit by a desk and do clerical work. Looking into cases and governmental questions behind closed doors. Nevertheless, the state isn’t delivering any news or proof of that either. They are only arresting people and warning people of speculating about the health condition of their President.

Well, we can only speculate as his incommunicado. The man who usually outspoken. Speaking in churches and on stages. The bulldozer is gone missing. His face should be on a milk-cartoon. Seriously, a man of his character shouldn’t be gone away from the public eye this long. Especially, when the man is the Head of State and its a constitutional question if his in jeopardy. Therefore, the need for proper resolution is dire.

Where is President Magufuli? Is he in Chato, Geita Region? Is he in Nairobi or anywhere else in the world?

The authorities shouldn’t arrest people for questioning or spreading possible rumours about their President. That just shows their lack of information and the lack of work done by the ones in-charge of government communications. The state could have just shown a video or a tape of the President. If not a recent picture and a written statement by the President. Alas, they are struggling to that. So, the minds starts wondering.

President Magufuli where are you and what are you doing? Tanzania Intelligence Security Service (TISS) either has taken detractors on rouse or the state playing a fiddle with everyone. If not they are in a power-struggle trying to figure out a successor. Whatever it is…

It is worrying how little that leaks or is proven. That a man can be gone this long in power. A man who has been so dismissing of the disease.

The truth will eventually come out. Now the rumours are running wild. However, at one point the state and the President have to show up. In one way or another. We just don’t have any idea of how. Peace.

Opinion: Where is Magufuli?

There is several of rumours spreading around… the Tanzanian government is busy doctoring the newspapers of the Nation Media Group (NMG) in Kenya and in Tanzania. They are not allowing these papers across the East African Community (EAC) be able to report what could be possibly true about the location, the status and the condition of the President.

We don’t know for real, if he has COVID-19, if he has breathing issues or is in cardiac arrest. We don’t know if he has a stroke or even is in coma. There is all sort of speculations going on. Joseph Magufuli could be chilling Chato, Geita Region. However, nobody has seen him for two weeks. And on the 10^th March 2021 there was reports of him getting treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.

Yesterday on the 11^th March 2021 … there is new speculation that he suddenly was moved from the hospital in Nairobi to India. This was done in a hospital helicopter after the Indian Ambassador also visited the hospital, which had already an added security detail and proof of a Very Imported Person (VIP). In the helicopter there should also be ventilator and oxygen for him. However, it is also reported that Raila Odinga is getting COVID-19 treatment at that hospital. So, that is maybe why there is an extended security detail there… but all of that is just mere speculation.

A President, a Head of State should be allowed to have privacy and live life without the public looking into it. However, the President is the Commander-in-Chief and with the responsibility … and there is constitutional duties and legal ramifications for a absence. Therefore… the Presidency isn’t just a mere job, but a station. This is why the President cannot just be lost in action and suddenly resurface. Because, who ran the Republic in his absence? Who was in-charge and had the obligation as “Head of State” while Magufuli was gone missing?

This is why this isn’t a finding Nemo issue. Neither is this a Saving Private Ryan, but serious business.

President Magufuli current condition should be known. His whereabouts and his possible treatment if anything. It would be poetic if he got COVID-19, as the denier and lack of action towards the global pandemic mastermind he is. However, it should also be a lesson in how not to operate, as it bites you in the ass eventually. As you need to flee your own health care system and get treatment elsewhere. Something the citizens cannot afford and not the sort of thing you said they should do. As President you even mocked the internationally made vaccines, the test-kits and the sickness itself.

So, funny that you didn’t drink lemon-water, steam-water treatment and tried herbal medicine. However, saw it fit to possibly get scientific health-care abroad. How fitting, right?

Well… it is just mere speculations… but more droplets are coming and such. There is even those who believes this is a made up Tanzania Intelligence and Security Services (TISS) to discredit the opposition and believes of Tundu Lissu. God knows really at this point…

But… what we do know is that we don’t where Magufuli is and at what sort of condition. There is no common or public knowledge of his whereabouts or how fit he is. He could be swimming in a pool somewhere. Magufuli can be smoking cigars and drinking a pint. If not he could be working on overtime to save his own skin a medical facility, either in Nairobi or in India. Nevertheless, we do not know at this point. Which is really rare… and not cool.

The United Republic deserves better. They deserve to know where their head of state is. This is ridiculous. Peace.

The Rumour-mill says: That Magufuli have been airlifted from Nairobi to either India, Germany or China(?)

The Tanzanian authorities are mull. They are silent. The ones in-charge are not letting any information on the whereabouts or the condition, the President is in. President Joseph Magufuli was reported to airlifted to Nairobi and being taken care of at the Nairobi Hospital yesterday.

That was after some minor reports of escalating breathing problems. Therefore, he was taken away from Tanzania to a secure hospital in Nairobi. The Nation Media Group said an “unknown” African Leader was there. While there was also reports of Very Important Person’s Security Detail there as well. Therefore, it was indications that it could be him. Also, the Nairobi Hospital Twitter page dropped a tweet, which they later deleted. Which stated his treatment and they said he was getting better.

However, today… there is other reports. That his even in cardiac arrest and is airlifted from Nairobi to India. Fichua Tanzania have reported today as source, that the President have flown there. After the Indian Ambassador visited the hospital. The President got an air-ambulance equipped with ventilators and oxygen cylinders. The Fichua claims the Kenyan authorities felt it embarrassing that it was happening in Kenya. Therefore, the clearance for the travel happened in only 20 minutes.

This is a continuation of yesterday and a possible proof of the worsening condition of Magufuli. A COVID-19 denier and someone who has marched ahead with no concern about the global pandemic. Now the virus has hit home and he needs health-care elsewhere.

There is no sort of official records or verification of this. There is only the small footnotes. The President whereabouts is still unclear. The media is numb, the state is silent and his handlers aren’t saying a word. Only the Fichua Tanzania and Tundu Lissu have stated that his airlifted to India today. However, that is yet not proven. This is why that’s still considered rumours.

What is worrying is the non-response and the lack of flow of information. That the Tanzanian authorities isn’t acting upon this and setting the record straight. The Head of State is rumoured to be everywhere in whatever condition they say. That is not a good look. If they think their silence is golden. They are wrong… it is a sign of weakness and not of strength. That they cannot be honest about the whereabouts or the condition his in.

At this moment his either still in Nairobi, India or Tanzania. Some are even speculating that his going first to Dubai on the way to Germany for further treatment there. While the most rumours are in the way of India and smuggled out there.

God knows, but we don’t, but what we do know. Is that karma is a bitch and that has bitten Magufuli hard. Now he has to swallow the bitter pill and get treatment for something he downplayed for as long as I can remember. He now got to drown his sorrows.

The final rumour is that his on his way to China. Which is reported here:

“Global Bar Magazine can now reveal that the president probably flew to China for specialist care, which is also reasonable given the historical ties between the countries. A plane from China Southern Airlines left Nairobi at 14:24 local time on March 10. It was at that time that some sources stated on twitter that Magufuli would have left Nairobi for India. The plane has no official departure time and arrived in Nairobi from Changsha in China early in the morning of March 10. This plane has no destination and usually flies between different cities in China. The plane is now on its way to China. We can wonder what is up and what the Tanzanian authorities are preparing. If they are planning “mild stroke” or any other excuse instead of telling the truth. If the Tanzanian authorities cared. They would have come out and stated the facts. Instead of letting the rumours run wild.

Because, that is not good to anyone. It doesn’t matter if he gets treatment in Nairobi, India, China or Germany for that matter. What matters in the end of it all. Is if he gets it COVID-19, breathing trouble or is in another state. That we don’t really know and someone isn’t telling the whole story. Peace.

Tanzania: Magufuli’s prayers wasn’t answered [as his getting COVID-19 treatment at the Nairobi Hospital]

“We want to confirm to Tanzania that your President John Pombe Magufuli is in safe hands in our facility & he’s responding well to COVID treatment. Wear masks, keep social distance & sanitize” (The Nairobi Hospital, 09.03.2021).

Some people deserve some additional scrutiny. Especially, the people who has downplayed and mocked the pandemic. The ones who has not taken it seriously. One of these men are the Head of State and Tanzanian President Joseph Magufuli. He have been reckless and acted like it doesn’t exists.

The President has suspended recording of the spread. His nation isn’t and haven’t been under lockdown. The President have not followed World Health Organization procedures or protocol to contain the spread of the virus. Now, the President got it himself. While his state have used “mysterious” deaths and “uncertain” reasons for why high ranking officials been dying. People have been buried in the night to hide the causes.

Therefore, it is poetic and karma that he gets the disease himself and seeks treatment. A man who has mocked vaccines, testing-kits and medicines. A man who only wants local solutions, but goes abroad himself to seek help. The ironies with this man is so long and that’s because of his defiance to the problem at hand.

Here is just two quotes from this man:

“My child who was infected with Corona took lemon water and ginger and is now healed” – President Joseph Magufuli (18.05.2020).

“Have you seen my aides wearing bracelets? Because I know who they slept with today at home, but the main thing is to put God first, God willing even without Corona you will go, even with Malaria you will go, this is the time to really pray to God” – President Joseph Magufuli (21.02.2021).

I am sure the breathing problem, as it first was stated at was to save face. However, when Nairobi Hospital says it like it is. You know who the problem is. The same happened to another President who didn’t care about the pandemic. That was Pierre Nkurunziza. Who also died from the sickness. Therefore, the Tanzanian President shouldn’t just ask for prayers, but act upon it too.

If he needs to travel to Kenya to get treatment. What about the fellow citizen who catches this disease? The virus can hit others as hard as it did to him. Does he care about that? Or is prayers just for the commoner and not for him?

Yes, I don’t want anyone to catch it or get ill, but this is just poetic justice. That the man who has done so little to make it happen. Suddenly he got it too as well. Someone who didn’t take it serious are no ill because of it.

Hopefully, the authorities, the state and everyone running the Republic can take it more serious. As they have downplayed and tagged along. Ministers coughing and drinking from the same cup. The sort of activity that just secures the spread of the virus. Not making sure less people get it and lesser spread of it. Instead, they have ensured the spread of pandemic gets much worse. Also, to further make damage. They have not assessed or followed the spread. God knows how bad it is and how many who got it. Because, the Republic of Tanzania surely has no real idea and is not open about the extent. They are mum about it and that is a worry.

Magufuli hopefully gets cured and can get down to business. Not fool around anymore, but be sincere about it. As he himself got into such a state, that he needed medical treatment in Kenya. That says it all. Something got to happen and he should order his state to act when he returns. Because, his in-action hurt more innocent civilians than ever needed. Just because of his pride and his self belief. That got to stop and hopefully this can be a turn for the better. Peace.

Tanzania: Magufuli is livin’ on a prayer Part II

There are some men who let their pride take control of their actions. One man like that is the Tanzanian President Joseph Magufuli. Who rather uses God and Faith, than trusting in science and conventional wisdom in concern to the COVID-19 or Corona Pandemic that has hit his Republic. The last COVID-19 Numbers came out 29^th April 2020. So, now a year later. There been high ranking officials dying of it and also others.

Even all of that he still has the guts to say this:

“Do not despise the smoke, there is a medicine called BUPIJI people have recovered to the hospitals have used the drug, there is COVIDOL there are all kinds of drugs used by Tanzanians, I ask my Christian brothers and Tanzanians not to be afraid of Corona we will pass” (Magufuli, 21.02.2021).

His denial and act of mischief. Promoting treatments that hasn’t been tested and been checked if it actually work. Because, something in his mind isn’t adding up.

When statement’s like these are leaking out of Tanzania: “The Tanganyika Law Society (TLS) has called on President John Maguguli to declare the presence of Covid-19 in the country – and announced mandatory preventive measures after the Society had lost 25 lawyers. Also, the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) has issued new directives aimed at reducing the number of worshippers attending masses in churches countrywide while making social distancing mandatory” (Javira Ssebwami – ‘Tanzania Episcopal Conference, law society take on Magufuli after 25 prominent lawyers succumb to virus’ 20.02.2021).

With the knowledge of TLS and TEC, you would think a President would reconsider his stance and listen to wisdom. No, he closes his ears and wants to pray to the holy father. God will intervene and make it all vanish. Not like God has given humans a brains and wants us to use it. No, it is just hanging fruits to have an option to put on hats on top of our heads. We are not supposed to use it and use our two ears. Because, common sense isn’t always common.

Now, that the President have yet again said he wants to have Three Days of National Prayers. The same President did that in 2020 as well.

“Tanzanian President John Magufuli has declared a three-day national prayers period to help combat the novel coronavirus as the reported cases in the country rose to 94. “Fellow Tanzanians, due to the pandemic, I urge to use these three days, from April 17 to April 19, to pray for God’s protection and healing,” the President tweeted on Thursday evening” (Beatrice Materu – ‘Tanzania: COVID-19 – Magufuli Declares Three Days of National Prayers, The East African, 17.04.2020).

So, he has done this before without any luck. He repeats himself and denies it. He accepts that people are dying. Because we are all going to die anyway. That is how he values the lives of his citizens. They are perishable and if they died. They didn’t pray enough or had faith enough.

Maybe his in the M.O of Jurassic Park: “Dr. Ian Malcolm : When you gotta go, you gotta go” (Jurassic Park, 1993). So, it seems that Magufuli is living in the same head-space. The same sort of actions. As he don’t want to act or do anything real in consideration to the COVID-19. No, he rather let people die, than actually act rationally. It must be his pride and arrogance. As he see people are dying. People are getting sick and there are evidence of high ranking officials who has died of this. He even let his son who got it drink a ginger mix to save himself. A man who doesn’t trust the testing-kits, vaccines or anything else, unless its produced locally by his fellow peers. That is the sort genius Magufuli is.

A man who claimed the Nation was COVID-19 free and stopped all counting. While people have gotten “mysterious diseases” and died. That doesn’t happen on the blimp, but is a cause and effect. The virus is still around and the Republic still has cases. Even if the President claimed it was gone. The Prayers haven’t worked and his resilience towards any scientific approach is hurting the Republic. That is the decision the President has made.

He wants to live on Bon Jovi’s “livin’ on a prayer” instead of living in the real world. Where the sickness is deadly and people are dying. Instead of being a reasonable Head of State and try to mitigate. He rather wants people to fence it on their own. See if they can survive and he can survive carefree in Chato in Geita Region.

Just to state the fact of the precautions affairs. The ACT-Wazalendo leader and Zanzibar’s First Vice-President Seif Sharif Hamad died this week after testing positive for COVID-19. So, the President knows perfectly well the dangers of this virus. However, he lacks courage and stamina to combat it.

His a arrogant and a coward… who cannot be a real leader. When he knowingly let his people die. He knows better, but instead he prays and hope God solves it. When God has given men the tools and the wisdom to combat things.

Just as the Bible says itself on this matter:

“On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Matthew 9:12-13, New International Version) .

Even Jesus Christ says the sick needs the doctor. Therefore, the President should prescribe the medicine and treatment, the doctors are saying is needed in this instance. Instead of letting people die. It is disgraceful, that the President isn’t letting the words of wisdom of doctors and medical professional get a word in.. He rather bulldoze them with his hack-work and call it a day. Because, that is how it looks from the outside.

A man who rather say a prayer, than do a honest days work. Peace.

Opinion: Deo Sanga MP mentally prepares the public for a third term for Magufuli

“According to Sanga, the house needed to remove the term limits and ‘force’ Magufuli to rule beyond the two term limit put in place by the Tanzanian constitution. “Mtu huyu amefanya kazi kubwa kwa miaka mitano iliyoisha na mipango ya mitano inayokuja,” Sanga said. “Ombi langu hapa ndani, atake asitake, tumuongezee muda.” (This man has done a lot of work in the past five years and has a lot of plans for the next five, my request is, whether he likes it or not, let’s add him more time.)” (ZuriMedia – ‘Another Museveni? It is not long ago since the sham and rigged elections of October 2020 in favour of President Joseph Magufuli. He is now on his second term as the President of the United Republic of Tanzania. In a republic where his party rules supreme. The Chama Cha Mapundzi (CCM) have all control and can easily change laws in his favour. So, don’t be shocked if during this tenure that the CCM will amend the Constitution and ensure Magufuli more terms.

President Magufuli is the character to make this happen. A man who doesn’t want any critics or real opposition. A man who wants to control all speech, articles, radio-programs and statistics. A man who wants to control the internet, all broadcasts and all content online. That is the sort of man Magufuli is. Not even statistics is out of bound and got to get vouched for before it is published.

So, in this regard… don’t be shocked if there will be Constitutional Amendments made in a fashion. Where loyal MPs are bound together, because they want the best for the Republic. These MPs want to serve and secure Tanzania. The MPs are privately supporting and ensuring a prolonged reign of Magufuli.

This will be the will of Magufuli, but he will use the MPs as pawns. They are just doing it on their own and not directly by him. Even if its beneficial for him and his cause. That Magufuli can get a third or a fourth term. Maybe even a fifth or a sixth term. Magufuli can even become the personification of the state. That is just the next step ahead.

The likes of Deo Sanga is just useful idiots who serves a purpose. Another crony and “yes-men” to serve his master. Sanga might think of himself as a leader, but in reality in this manner… his just a sheep following his shepherd.

I wouldn’t be amazed if this happen in the coming years and well in reach of the next election. Everything is centring around Magufuli already. That is why his hometown Chapto is such a development bonanza too. All things pins to Magufuli and it will not be less of that. He is the next President for Life. The signs are all there.

The way he has tormented the opposition, civil society and the press. Its all signs of what to come. This man will hold a stranglehold of the state and will cling to power until his last breath. This man enjoys power and the perks he get with it. There will be nothing stopping him. Especially, when most of the opposition is in trouble or can’t keep him accountable.
