Russian Probe: Manafort plea guilty!

Just as you thought this couldn’t get better for the United States Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Today, the former Trump Campaign Manager and long time lobbyist and political operative have now pleaded guilty today. He is in a long line of former Campaign workers and also Trump Associates who has pleaded guilty and begun to co-operate with the Russian Probe.

Paul Manafort are following Gen. Michael Flynn, George Papadopolous, Richard Gates and Michael Cohen. Therefore, many of the ones involved in the Trump Campaign have now said their was guilty of crimes of various sorts. George Papadopolous and Alex Van Der Zwaan have both served time or even serving it, as Manafort is the only one, who is already been charged on several counts.

Now, we have these people all pleaded guilty and their roles was Trump’s Personal Lawyer, Top Campaign Aide and former Campaign Manager. This is clearly a giant signal to the ones saying, yet again there was no collusion or nothing criminal done by the Trump Campaign. As yet another big-shot , have pleaded guilty. It is a big list, when Manafort, Flynn, Papadopolous, Gates and Cohen.

What the documents are saying today, are that Manafort plea agreement, which says he was guilty of Conspiracy against the United States, violation of Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and second charge of conspiracy to obstruct justice by tampering with witnesses. These criminal charges was waivered because of the plea agreement. What is added injury, but also done to show cooperation, is that he had forfeiture assets and real-estate, as the state has taken this from him.

We knew that Gates would drop the needle and show the background for the business operation and the Foreign Agent work of the Manafort. We can wonder what Flynn has delivered to the state and produced to them, what Papadopolous has done as well. As well, as Cohen whose cooperating too will surely add more flesh to the bones.

This investigation has peeled the onion, piece by piece. That is why finally Manafort has pleaded guilty too. He knows that there would be more damage in the next trial after the first one, where he found guilty of certain charges already. Therefore, accepting it now before the speedy trial, he is ensuring less jail time and cooperating. But that is also showing a pattern, where we can wonder what is next and what he gives up to get this. We can all assess that there are higher ranking individual that Mueller is getting evidence and tying in all collected all the dots.

Mueller knows more than we do and that is why he is covering the net around the Trump Campaign and making sure every fish is catched and even the big-fish too.

The race to the President continues, but the Witches are apparently everywhere, since they are all getting plea agreements. Peace.

Russian Probe: The Papadopolous Court Documents are revealing!

If you ever thought there was ever a leaf of hope, that the ball would drop with the Special Counsel Robert Mueller investigation to slow-down or even become mellow. There are not a single side-show made the President who can shut this up. President Donald Trump and his closed allies (the few that is left). Hopes this ones dies down, however, with the shrinking space, the net all around the President and the people around him, accepting plea-deals and flipping. There are less and less space to move for the President.

What is fascinating today, is the release of the Court Documents concerning former Foreign Policy Advisor George Papadopolous, the Government Sentencing Document and the Defense Documents from his lawyers. What the defense are trying to do, is make George into Curious George and the unknown dimwit who stumbled upon dozens of Russian and in naivety tried to connect the Trump Campaign with Russian Operatives. However, the lies are covered and the Government defense document proves how deliberate the Political Operative Papadopolous knew perfectly well what he was doing and why he was lying while interviewed by FBI agents.

Papadopolous defense:

On March 14, 2016, George met London-based college Professor Joseph Mifsud while traveling in Italy. When Mifsud, then director of the London Academy of Diplomacy, claimed connections to the Russian Government, George thought he could utilize him and his connections to help the Trump campaign promote its policy objectives. Professor Mifsud paid young George little attention until learning of his position as one of Trump’s foreign policy advisors” (…) “Returning to Washington D.C., twenty-eight-year-old George witnessed his career skyrocketing to unimaginable heights. On March 31, 2016, he joined Mr. Trump, Senator Jeff Sessions, and other campaign officials for a “National Security Meeting” at the Trump Hotel. George’s photograph at this meeting flashed around the world via Twitter. Eager to show his value to the campaign, George announced at the meeting that he had connections that could facilitate a foreign policy meeting between Mr. Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. While some in the room rebuffed George’s offer, Mr. Trump nodded with approval and deferred to Mr. Sessions who appeared to like the idea and stated that the campaign should look into it”(…) “George joined Professor Mifsud for breakfast in London on April 26, 2016, with the intention of finalizing plans for the foreign policy meeting. It was during this breakfast meeting, however, that Professor Mifsud told George that individuals in Moscow possessed “dirt” on candidate Hillary Clinton in the form of “thousands of emails.” Not knowing what to make of this comment, George continued his efforts to make the Trump – Russia meeting a reality. As he expressed in an email to Professor Mifsud, George believed that the meeting would be “history making.” (George Papadopolous – Defense Sentencing Motion, 31.08.2018).

Mueller sentencing:

As the defendant well knew, this account was false: the defendant met the Professor for the first time on or about March 14, 2016, after the defendant had already learned he would be a foreign policy advisor for the Trump campaign; the Professor showed interest in the defendant only after learning of his role on the campaign; and the Professor told the defendant about the Russians possessing “dirt” on Clinton in late April 2016, more than a month after the defendant had joined the campaign” (…) “The defendant’s lies also hindered the government’s ability to discover who else may have known or been told about the Russians possessing “dirt” on Clinton. Had the defendant told the FBI the truth when he was interviewed in January 2017, the FBI could have quickly taken numerous investigative steps to help determine, for example, how and where the Professor obtained the information, why the Professor provided the information to the defendant, and what the defendant did with the information after receiving it” (George Papadopolous – Government Sentencing Motion, 17.08.2018).

Here you clearly see how the government preceive the information and the defense attorneys are trying to deflect it. That is evident, as I didn’t take all the steps of lies that Papadopolous did when interviewed by FBI Officers in early 2017. What do also see, is the levels that he did to meet up with Russians and wanting to collude with them to get a strategic advantage for the Trump Campaign.

Papadopolous clearly have to try to maneuver this in another way, as the attorneys clearly tried to make him blue-eyed and naive, as they tried to put him into a minor player frame, the same defense as Trump did too. Even as the role of Foreign Policy Advisor in the Campaign shows he had some importance, as his meetings with people of foreign operatives was to help the campaign directly, as he didn’t address the timeline of meetings, which would have made sense and if he had been truthful made signs of pattern of information discovery by the FBI. However, he lied and didn’t tell it all, while the defense documents shows his plans of colluding and actually directly use Russian “dirt” on Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Peace.
