Opinion: Is this the end of the prohibition era for marijuana…?

“The Justice Department today released the following statement from spokesman Anthony Coley regarding the President’s proclamation granting a full, complete, and unconditional pardon to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents who have committed, or been convicted of, the offense of simple possession of marijuana in violation of the Controlled Substances Act, as currently codified at 21 U.S.C. 844 and as previously codified elsewhere in the U.S. Code, or in violation of D.C. Code 48–904.01(d)(1): “The Justice Department will expeditiously administer the President’s proclamation, which pardons individuals who engaged in simple possession of marijuana, restoring political, civil, and other rights to those convicted of that offense. In coming days, the Office of the Pardon Attorney will begin implementing a process to provide impacted individuals with certificates of pardon. “Also, in accordance with the President’s directive, Justice Department officials will work with our colleagues at the Department of Health and Human Services as they launch a scientific review of how marijuana is scheduled under federal law.”” (Justice Department – ‘Justice Department Statement on President’s Announcements Regarding Simple Possession of Marijuana’ 06.10.2022).

Things are moving and we should expect things to change with time. The pardons of possession of marijuana are only the beginning. The rescheduling of marijuana is really a beginning for Federal Law Enforcement to see it differently.

This move is most likely in the realm of legalizing and ending the prohibition of the substance. Marijuana goes into the legal position of alcohol and tobacco. We shouldn’t be shocked by this. Because this is creating not only new support for the President. Biden is becoming a hero for doing this federally if he pursuits it. However, time will tell if the Federal Government does more.

Now, the Federal Government is on the one of legalizing. That means the trading, the usage and everything in connection to the substance will be regulated, which means a new tax-base. That can mean the state will find new ways to monetize and ensure growing revenue from marijuana products. It won’t only be the sale of blunts, the chronic and others, but also medicinal marijuana. That’s where this is going.

If this goes like the most liberals want. This could be sold side-by-side of tobacco. It could be like prepared smokes or blunts of marijuana in the stores. That would be taxed and be a big business. It would be no difference from tobacco or alcohol. This will affect society, but that does all the things mentioned.

The pardons is only the beginning this will challenge the ones who calls it a “gateway” drug. It will also be a battleground points of the Republic Party. Alas, they are one the wrong side of the popularity here. The ganja, the chronic and everything associated with it is very popular. It is a substance that the United States population is ready for and to make acceptable with other recreative activities like drinking and smoking. It just follows that one and seems to be getting the acceptance of it.

The smell of weed will now be familiarized and the possession of it too. There will less fear and sooner or later it’s a accepted business and taxed too. It will benefit the Republic monetarily. Though we cannot know the consequences of it or how it will change society. It is a watershed moment yesterday. The announcement wasn’t expected and certainly there will be ramifications to this.

“As I’ve said before, no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana.

Today, I’m taking steps to end our failed approach. Allow me to lay them out.

First: I’m pardoning all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession. There are thousands of people who were previously convicted of simple possession who may be denied employment, housing, or educational opportunities as a result. My pardon will remove this burden.

Second: I’m calling on governors to pardon simple state marijuana possession offenses. Just as no one should be in a federal prison solely for possessing marijuana, no one should be in a local jail or state prison for that reason, either.

Third: We classify marijuana at the same level as heroin – and more serious than fentanyl. It makes no sense. I’m asking Secretary Becerra and the Attorney General to initiate the process of reviewing how marijuana is scheduled under federal law. I’d also like to note that as federal and state regulations change, we still need important limitations on trafficking, marketing, and underage sales of marijuana. Sending people to jail for possessing marijuana has upended too many lives – for conduct that is legal in many states. That’s before you address the clear racial disparities around prosecution and conviction. Today, we begin to right these wrongs” (Biden, 06.10.2022).

President Joe Biden has come with a real surprise to many today. He has finally stopped the drug-war on marijuana, which has been failed by the authorities and the government as a whole. His a man who has fought for these strict rules and legislation in the past. So, when it was his turn to be in the highest office, suddenly things has changed. There must be a reason for it and sooner or later this will be part of society at large.

With these pardons and the planned evaluation of marijuana. Expect it to be soon taxed federally like alcohol or in the realm of that. President Biden really came with shocker and it was a blunt out of nowhere.

This sort of war has lasted for ages and been a concern for several of administrations. It has been a battle it cannot compete with. That’s why the states like California has sort of made legal medicinal marijuana and such. Now, there can be expectation of more and positively in the ways of liberal Netherlands on that matter. Because, the pardoning and possible changes of law will be a game-changer. It can also free state authorities resources to look at bad law-offenders and not only capture people with possession of marijuana.

Certainly this move will be popular ahead of the midterms. It will also be a vital legislation ahead of the polls. He would have this one and the student debt forgiveness. He is following to actually do favourable acts in office. The Office of President has delivered here and showed finesse. The democratic party can get a boost over this and show it’s a total difference than the Republican party. This was shown with the student debt forgiveness and now with the marijuana legislation.

President Biden has come out of left-field here. There will be pushback here, but this is a piece of legislation that will be popular. This has been asked by progressives for a long time and the authorities has nothing to show from it. Only a lot of misdemeanours and possession cases, but not the cartels or the ones behind the export. With the changes… this can be a legal industry. Just like the alcohol industry could be legal after the prohibition era. The “Speakeasies” has turned into pubs and saloons again.

Time has to tell really how this will be played out. Marijuana might turn into the new tobacco and become part of that industry in the future. Biden has open up the flood-gates here. I don’t know how this will be played out. However, he will gain popularity and the Democratic Party will score brownie-points ahead of the midterms. There will be ramifications doing this and especially when he decided to pull this one off.

Opinion: If Biden’s speech enrages you… it’s not our problem, but your own!

We hear — you’ve heard it — more and more talk about violence as an acceptable political tool in this country. It’s not. It can never be an acceptable tool. So I want to say this plain and simple: There is no place for political violence in America. Period. None. Ever” – President Joe Biden (01.09.2022).

On the 1^st September 2022 for the first, “Dark Brandon” or the more fierce President Biden speech in Philadelphia. I have referred to Biden as “lukewarm coffee” but this time he was finally poignant and direct with his message. A message that is needed, because with his predecessor there has been rising right-wing extremism and they became a vital part of the Republican power base. Therefore, this speech is needed.

Yes, there been push-backs and people claiming Biden is divider in chief. However, the predecessor was speaking ill of the left on the daily basis and called for locking up his enemies. He spoke bad of the Democrats and even their news channels. While he praised Fox News and other outlets.

This speech was a needed one. It is also very telling about that it wasn’t on every station. Plenty showed ordinary programming and didn’t even send it live. This shows not only the bias but also how they operate. They are willing to send former President Trump at any time, but not Biden when speaks of something vital or important.

It is just showing how fragmented the USA have become. The different realities and messaging, which is spread among the heartland. This speech will only be seen as shattering or shocking, if you haven’t followed politics for a hot minute. If this speech is bad for you or doesn’t settle well. I am afraid that’s on you. Because, violent political extremism isn’t worth having. Anyone who has some clarity should understand that.

Biden is right on with his message and it’s needed. Only fascists, supports fascism. That is also obvious. If that hurts your pride, your banners and your believes. That’s all on you and fascists or fascism has never created anything good. It has only destroyed democracies, gone after minorities and political dissidents. There is nothing good coming out of fascism. You can check history and know this.

That’s why Biden’s speech in Philadelphia was important. It is a resounding message. Hopefully it wasn’t to late. The MAGA crowds, the Republican’s who abide by this will rebuke it. However, people should be aware of the power and what that sort of politicking does. Because, nothing good comes out of it.

I believe we can and we must do that again, and we are. MAGA Republicans look at America and see carnage and darkness and despair. They spread fear and lies –- lies told for profit and power. Sometimes the truth is just so revealing and so brutal. That the ones aspiring or living for something cannot handle it. Biden just told it like it is… if your feelings was hurt or it rocked your pride. Than you need to look into yourself. Because, who in the right minds wants to be fascists and be associated with fascism?

That’s just very telling. It has been visible all through the predecessors term. The rise of violent groups associated with the Republican party. They have all bashed in the glory of Trump. Now, Biden is telling their story and the Republican’s suddenly feels hurt. They have boosted themselves in it and played their part. Now their story is told. Their messages are being enlightened and then they push-back. It is just showing the dire reality and the what is at stake.

Biden did what needed to be done. Finally he went from “lukewarm coffee” into hot coffee and it taste good. Peace.

Opinion: Biden is lukewarm coffee part III

“Since I took office, families are carrying less debt … more Americans feel financially comfortable” – President Joe Biden (03.06.2022).

You know that coffee either taste good warm or as ice-coffee, not in the middle or lukewarm. Lukewarm coffee must be the work of the devil. Since it makes the coffee taste stale and bad. Instead of having the tones and a flavours of which the beverage is supposed to have.

Why do I say this?

Well, United States of America President Joe Biden is the epitome of lukewarm coffee. His neither hot or cold. His the boring in the middle and out-of-touch career politician. Biden has no spine or now will to achieve things. That’s why his achievements are so-and-so. What is striking is that he acts like he isn’t in office or doesn’t have executive power. Secondly, he cannot reign in on the Senate or get popular bills through either.

That’s why his Presidency is close to pointless. We know that the tiredness and the lies of Trump was catching up with. Also, the promise of ending the pandemic and getting a new normal was what Biden wanted to offer. However, he got nothing in the sense of care, concern or programs, which could be meaningful. Unless, it is to help corporate donors and being afraid of a new Republican takeover.

Biden is hopeless… that’s how his looking and Harris isn’t saving him either. The Biden Administration seems inept or not willing to face the realities. The inflation, the rising prices and a lack of regulations to bridge gap is obvious. The current government rather live on inflated numbers and calculations, than consider the real implications living pay-check to pay-check and not ensuring liveable wages. Only in the USA where a childbirth or a sickness can bankrupt a family in the lower middle-class. So, Biden isn’t helping, but instead saying tokenism to boost the ego of the donor-class and the upper echelons. Must surely be nice to smooch with the elite while toying around the working class.

Meanwhile Biden doesn’t understand what is going on. If not his not listening or disinterested. It is like it doesn’t face him or his allies. They pay them no mind and doesn’t understand what implications it has. When people are struggling and no one comes to save you. Your most likely looking elsewhere and even hoping the devil you don’t know will help you out. Even if they are most despicable and disingenuous people. Still, you rather vote for them, as they give at least the bare minimum and promises to fix things. While you in power and with the mandate in both houses of Congress should get legislation voted through. However, in June 2022 that’s too much to ask.

Biden is strangled by the demigod of Manchin and Sinema. He just can’t catch a break. His team cannot configure how to be professionals and play their cards. Instead the soft and meagre manoeuvres make him look like a man without power. Just like a flaccid and broken old man who is to tired to act or unbothered to actually do an honest living.

President Biden could have achieved things. That’s if he wanted too and wasn’t only talking tough to opposition. He should have reigned in his senators and done legislation that really mattered. Because, he has the House and could get things through the Senate with the VP vote like Trump did during this term. However, he has dismissed that and isn’t even trying.

Biden is lukewarm coffee and it tastes like it too. Distasteful chants should ring in Washington D.C. Peace.

Opinion: The U.S. got a gun-problem…

The United States of America has a massive gun problem. The amounts of school-shootings and mass-shootings are staggering. The “lone-wolf” attacks with heavy weaponry and ability to shoot up schools are at imaginable levels.

ZeroEyes reports that 223,000 students have experienced gun-violence at schools between 1999 to 2018. The same NGO reports 229 schools have experienced school-shootings in the same time period. 143 people lives lost in these school-shootings 290 injured and the media age of the school-shooter was sixteen. That’s in the timespan of 1999-2018.

We can just think about the numbers between 2019-2022. As it has continued to spiral out and the numbers aren’t getting better. Everytown statistics from these years aren’t any good either. In 2019 130 incidents of gunfire on school grounds, 33 deaths and 78 injuries. In 2020 there was 96 incidents of gunfire on school grounds, 24 deaths and 43 injuries. In 2021there was 202 incidents of gunfire on school grounds, 49 deaths and 126 injuries.

These numbers are shocking and high. As the numbers of the last two gunfire incidents only in May month of this year will make it higher. It just barely weeks between them. They are happening at a rampant phase and never ceasing to end. This is an issue that cannot just be left alone. Children and innocent civilians are dying as a cause of all of this. It is a government who isn’t reacting or restricting the usage of firearms, which could stop this from happening. Instead, the representatives and the leaders of the nation is shielding the weapons and arms manufactures. If not they are dependent of the gun-lobby who is giving huge donations to their campaigns. Since, the deadly is persisting and nothing is stopping it from happening.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) and other organizations must have Congress by the balls. They must also have all the gun-friendly representatives in all important chambers or august houses of the 50 states. Since, there seems to be no end. The ones remembering Virginia Tech and Columbine High School ages ago. Would think these sorts of mass-shootings would be the stop of it. However, in the U.S. this has been continuing since then and is a never ending stories.

The only other thing that is constant is arming teachers, security guards and giving more guns in close proximity of the schools. The second constant is that the representatives are sending their thoughts and prayers, because their hands are tied or they are held at gun-point themselves. Since it seems impossible for them to either make legislation or even try to regulate the ability to purchase guns at any given moment. Instead it’s a free for all and everyone who with a pulse can get one.

That’s why the U.S. have a gun-governance problem and the price of that is the kids who dies on a semi-regular basis. When we know the U.S. isn’t able to fix the problem or the issues on the matter. They seems to need United Nations Experts to make a Report on the matter and handle that to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Since they could make a case and find a solution on it. If not someone should petition the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to discuss a possible peacekeeping force to stop this insecurity, which it really is…

United States is falling from grace. Their greatness is falling apart. Especially, when the Congress is so corrupt and hesitant to defend it’s own citizens. Because, that is the matter here. The U.S. comes to save people far away, but cannot manage to find measures to save kids in their own schools. That’s what’s tragic here… Peace.

Opinion: Biden is lukewarm coffee Part II

We have now for some time seen the real deal of the Biden Administration. The people have been appointed and hired. The Democratic President Joe Biden who took over after a shambolic and snake-oil salesman in Donald J. Trump. Biden had the world ahead of him and with some promises of changes during the campaigns. However, the U.S. is more of the same and not a vast change from the Trump administration.

The U.S. government is still bombing Somalia. Selling weapons and arms to Middle East allies who fights wars in Yemen and elsewhere. The U.S. is still caging and detaining asylum-seekers. The President is maybe not crying foul and wanting a wall. However, the detention-centres are still a viable industry and the President has not shut this down. Neither has he address the ruthless and injustice served by the ICE agents across the Republic.

Biden is clearly lukewarm coffee. He is not hot coffee or cold coffee. No, his the boring and adherent liquid you drink in need, but not because you enjoys it. It is a tragic blend and misuse of good coffee. As you let it become lukewarm and that’s why it’s not a tasty cup of coffee.

President Biden is just that. This is why he cannot forgive student debt by Executive Order. Neither could he or his administration configure the relief for millions of people as the pandemic and lack of steady salaries possibly could evict millions of citizens from their landlords. He has just suspended the payments and the rent will sooner or later haunt the tenants who has to either save or move out at one point. While they will struggle to find another home or flat to live in.

President Biden has also made it impossible to find a measure to make Medicare for All a thing. Neither opening up for a public option. Therefore, the man who was beside Obama with Obamacare and additional measures with Medicaid. The current administration is even more mediocre with that after years of dismantling this by the Trump Administration.

Biden and his government is just a light-Republican edition. There is little to no real changes to see. Especially not from a far. The so-called “progressive” representatives and senators in the Democratic Party haven’t done much either. They are nice in the media and making statements in the press. However, they are not amending laws or policies which follows their “progressive” ideals. It is more of a posture and selling out to the rest of the Corporate democrats. Therefore, there is little difference between the “moderates” in the Democratic Party and the Republican counterparts.

This is why Biden bipartisan works makes sense. As the Democratic Party and their works are so much alike the Republican. Only difference is the party and the donors. The Democratic Party have the majority, but by what they have achieved. It doesn’t look like it. The Republican party is still in sort of control and giving the Democratic party a majority seems like a failure. Since they are not using it or trying to do what they promised.

Biden and the Democratic party will suffer and possible be hit in the mid-terms. That’s because they had the majority, but acted as a minority. They didn’t even try or use their authority for common sense polices. Policies that is popular by the general public and across the board. Yes, the donors and the budget would be bloated. However, it is not like the previous administration cared about that. The fiscal responsibility shouldn’t only be held by Democrats while Republicans can spend like drunk sea-men. This is why Biden could have spent vast funds on student debt and Medicare, which would have made legendary. However, he rather be a moderate and corporate politician who could easily be branded with an elephant instead of the donkey. Peace.

Opinion: Kulinski have fled the sinking ship of TYT

It is now revealed after the video clip earlier this week of news anchor Cenk Uygur saying his final “goodbye” to Kyle Kulinski and “the Secular Talk” from The Young Turks (TYT) Network. The last few weeks has been horrible for TYT and this isn’t making things better.

That Kulinski is leaving the TYT. Shows that one of the biggest network assets has left the scene. As the TYT have lost two former commentators and contributors in Kulinski and Jimmy Dore. Both of these YouTube Channels has an ability cause a stir and political interest online. Where they will directly fight with TYT.

That Kyle is now leaving is an indication that the ties are now finally over. TYT have gone on a rampage against anyone criticising it. The TYT have tried to smear other journalists and directly attacked them. Without proof of their allegations and the supposed ill-advised reporting they supposed to do. While the TYT haven’t redacted or done anything in their way to take responsibility for their actions.

Cenk Uygur looks like his losing it and he don’t know how to handle this storm. The TYT is losing not only edge, but also subscribers. The TYT is losing former hosts, anchors and network associates. Former friends of the TYT is now becoming cold or getting attacked. That is what is happening and its a very tragic demise of the Network.

Kyle leaving this way shows he has understood that this was his time. He is starting to have a good platform on his own and also a podcast. His businesses elsewhere is reaching new heights and he isn’t in need of the backing of the TYT. That must hurt Cenk, but Cenk has also stopped giving him any reasons to be affiliated with the network.

The TYT brand and ethos as a progressive is clearly sinking. The ideals of the news network is also becoming stagnate. The TYT has 5 million members on YouTube, but how many of them is daily viewers? How many are following the live shows? Does the Vanguard or Hard Lens Media have more of a traction now? Heck does one man teams of Jesse Dollamore or Farron Balanced have rising power?

The TYT is living on a knives edge. Cenk’s words in his final goodbye to Kyle was distasteful and disgraceful. Wishing someone a “disaster” and saying his choices will be filled with more “disasters”. That isn’t professional, but a butt-hurt and seemingly angry. Kulinski should have gotten some respect for all the years he was a part of the network and the work he put in.

The TYT needs to revaluate its purpose, unless they want to known for these sort of acts. Instead of being the home of progressives. They are instead the home of smear-artists and attacking other journalists. Who can trust a home like that? Who want to watch that?

The way Cenk handled Kyle leaving isn’t worthy of anyone. Especially, when they have worked together for years and been loyal to the same cause. If someone did the same to me and my folks. I would have been horrified and wondered what caused the change.

Cenk especially needs to repurpose his manners and where he wants the TYT to go. Because, people like me used to watch it. However, during the last month I have ditched it totally and I’m not planning to return either.

TYT isn’t showing any care for the viewers, its affiliates or former employees. It is just becoming a hawkish YouTube platform. Not a News Network anymore…. and only name-calling without proof. That isn’t what I came for, but that’s what Cenk is serving you. Peace.

Opinion: TYT have lost me forever now

The Young Turks (TYT) is the biggest YouTube News Channel and the supposed challenger to the Mainstream Media (MSM). However, with the time the difference between TYT and the MSM has withered. The difference between TYT and MSNBC is now now bare minimum.

The TYT difference is the news anchors Cenk Ugyur and Anna Kasparian. The TYT isn’t doing what they used to do. They are instead being smear-artists and going after other credible journalists.

This being either Aaron Maté, Glenn Greenwald or Richard Medhurst. The TYT even went after Julian Assange. Just like they have targeted former employee and comedian Jimmy Dore. The TYT have no quarrels doing this.

It is tragic that things gone this far. That Cenk is saying this about other journalists without any real evidence. He targets people and smears them. He just wants to prove a point and targets them directly. What happened to have any sort of integrity at TYT?

That seems to be lost… and the Network needs to think about themselves. The TYT needs to consider their approaches. They are not reporting news or becoming a viable news source. When they are doing this to credible journalists.

Yes. Nobody is perfect and have done anyone wrong. The TYT goes directly at Dore at his wrongs. However, the same TYT never takes any responsibility for the years of Howard Stern content and “camel toe” segments. Therefore, the TYT isn’t sincere in this. Neither is Cenk who said he wouldn’t even sleep with someone on live-air. That’s why this TYT isn’t what it seems.

I used to watch TYT to get another experience and another perspective to U.S. politics. However, the attacks on Maté, Greenwald or Dore. What else can the TYT edit in their favour? What else can the TYT say or do to save face?

Not like the TYT has taken any responsibility for these smear campaigns and how they are dwelling into these shady tactics. This is not what reliable networks does, but what people does to save face. They are also editing things to make them worse, but not taking any sort of account of their own past behaviour. Even telling the public. That if you watch Jimmy or read anything from Glenn. Just buzz off and don’t return.

That’s what’s happening and its distasteful. Dishonest and disingenuous at best. Disrespectful to the viewer and to the ones who follows them.

This isn’t TYT I used to watch and I’m sad that it turned out like this. Peace.

Opinion: The TYT isn’t all what it seems

The Young Turks (TYT) have been a place for other type of news online. A place where you would find other sources and stories than in the Main-Stream Media (MSM). However, over the years it has changed. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian have for years been the main anchors of the TYT.

They have had other participate and covered various of stories. The TYT have been interesting as another source in covering the United States Elections and especially the Presidential races. Which, the covering and live-shows has enriched the conservation. However, their hypocrisy and their shady history is now coming to back to haunt them.

The TYT cannot smear others without taking into account their own lack of moral judgments and misogyny. There is a plethora of clips showing Cenk and Ana discussing celebrities and viral photos/clips as part of a segment of their show. That was happening years ago and in the early age of the TYT. Still, it is a part of the history and how the TYT represented itself. Even if the TYT have made these videos private. There are some who has catalogued them and is re-issuing them on YouTube.

Therefore, the TYT cannot run away from these clips as the TYT smears and go after other journalists. Instead of taking into account their own behaviour and actions. A news network who has said to be progressive and for the left. It seems to have lost its way. They are parroting certain objective campaigns and agendas. While they want the world to believe they are “independent” and not beholden to “corporate” interests. When the TYT has been looked into and taken questionable vulture capitalist funding and also direct DNC donor money. Therefore, “off course” this has implicated the show and the stories its telling.

Money talks… for a TYT Network who has worked so hard to get money out of politics. Fight the corrupt Washington and the politicians beholden to the lobbyist and corporate donors. It is very significant that the TYT is taking millions and dealing with the corporate like they do. That is selling out and taking away their credibility.

They are not run by the ad revenue on YouTube or by the Memberships. When they have gotten millions of dollars and these are steering the conversation. They are clearly being used and will be sounding like other MSM. When the donors and the ones paying for the operation want their end of the bargain. That is just a fact and not a smear campaign against the TYT. That is a decision the TYT have done and out of business. It is good business. They are getting paid and gotten a financial boost.

The TYT doesn’t have to account for the 5 million subscribers and whatever amount of paying members they have. They are still trying to sell it after every video. However, the TYT is most likely earning more on the DNC funding than what it earns on its members.
