Rwanda: Ministry of Health – COVID-19 Coronavirus Update (23.04.2020)

Opinion: I don’t know why “mama” Janet is acting like a pastor…

Today, First Lady Janet Museveni dropped a four page sermon called: “To those who call me mama”. Where she dropped three biblical scriptures and also started the document like this:

Let me begin by thanking all those who agreed with me especially our religious leaders, the mothers of Uganda and all the young army of intercessors who have been praying, fasting and believing God to give us a Passover” (Museveni, 23.04.2020).

If you thought the Pastor would let you down, your wrong. She is maybe addressing the leaders and mothers who didn’t participate in the services in the midsts of lockdown. There was some of them and even pastors arrested for doing it.

She even goes full-blasted Magufuli as she states this:

Uganda has not lost even one person in the country to COVID-19 and it is not because we are better than others, it is not because we have done what others did not do but God is faithful to His word when He says as He did in Jeremiah 29:13, “And you will seek me and find me when you search f or me with all your heart” (Museveni, 23.04.2020).

it is true that there is no reported COVID-19 death in the Republic. However, there been killings of citizens because of the lockdown. That has been reported, also death of other diseased people as a result. As the public is not allowed to embark and go to the hospital. This has ensured that even pregnant woman feared going out and get valid transportation.

That is why Pastor Janet is speaking the truth, but also letting some facts go mist. That is not truthful from her. However, she has learned these techniques from her husband or such. Janet knows how this works. Mama knows this, but thinks that is a nice idea apparently.

When the Pastor goes wrong, it is with this:

It is amazing that the Corona Virus which other nations seemed to think would decimate our population and destroy the African Continent as we know it, instead it has brought back that compassionate heart typical of the African people, and it has again made us our “brother’s keeper” as God would have us be. Therefore, dear Ugandans, I thank you with all my heart and please know I am so proud of you!” (Museveni, 23.04.2020).

The Pastor speaks of brothers keepers, but has the state allowed them to be so? No, only in the NRM MPs are allowed to deliver food to the public. If a government critique or opposition MP tries to do it. Than they end behind bars and tortured like Francis Zaake MP. They are allowing NRM MPs to this, there been three instances. The likes are Anifa Kawooya and Haruna Kasolo, who didn’t meet the authorities, but Zaake did. Bobi Wine had to also deliver his food and donations directly to the OPM COVID-19 Fund. So, there is an open standard.

The “Brothers Keepers” are a shallow and hallow grave to dig at this point. There is only a small fringe and a few whose allowed to be it. Unless, they are giving to the COVID-19 Fund. Than, the husband wants 4WD and possibly some fancy cars to solve it. The President wants more than beans, rice and posho. That is not good enough. So, the “Brothers Keepers” are a lie from her. They want to read up the donations, but they are still ungrateful, because they are used to eat of the plate the public.

Pastor Janet needs a prayer, needs salvation and needs mercy. There is enough nonsense in a day, but she’s not this holy. Because, if your in the Republic and you insult her. You got months in the slammer like Dr. Stella Nyanzi. Peace.
