The People’s President Airlifted from Moroto amidst Public Protest against his detention; JUST-IN: Moroto Magistrate Court have order Besigye to be detained at Luzira!

Besigye Moroto 16.05.2016

Today the Defiance Campaign went into high-gear, so that the Officials and Police Officers in Moroto had to shoot tear-gas and try to disperse the public who wanted to take Dr. Kizza Besigye into freedom. Something the Police Officers was not accepting. Therefore these reports have shadowed the swearing-in of Members of Parliament, as the Treason Case and the unlawful arrest of Forum for Democratic Change leader have again spoiled the day for the Propagandist National Resistance Movement. Here are the reports!

“Moroto Chief Magistrate, HW Charles Yeteise grants state prayers to transfer Dr Kizza Besigye from Moroto to Luzira Prisons. The court has also transferred Kizza Besigye’s file to the Chief Registrar for reallocation to another court. The application presented by Moroto Resident State Attorney, Gerald Amaro was based of the following grounds:

(1) That the state had intelligence information that some dissidents planned an attack on the Moroto Prison to take away KB;

(2) That the offences against Kizza Besigye were committed between Kampala and Wakiso, so he needed to be in a court near the witnesses in the matter;

(3) That more accused persons to be joined on Kizza Besigye’s file live in Kampala and Wakiso districts; and that Kizza Besigye, being a former presidential candidate deserved to be remanded in a prison with better facilities, and such are only in Luzira.

The court granted the application at about 12:30pm and the accused person was immediately airlifted from Moroto” (NBS TV Uganda, 16.05.2016).

FDC NBS 16.05.2016

“Semujju Nganda (FDC spokesperson): Amama Mbabazi is one of the lawyers headed to Moroto to give legal support to leading opposition figure Dr Kizza Besigye

He has however declined to comment on the mock swearing-in ceremony video: “The matter is before court.” (NBS TV Uganda, 16.05.2016).

“Dr Kizza Besigye the FDC former presidential candidate has been flown in back to Kampala today from Moroto District where he was incarcerated since last week. According to the prisons spokesperson Fred Baine Mayanja the transfer follows a formal request from Besigye’s doctors. Baine says Besigye’s Doctor wrote to the Commissioner General of prisons that his patient be brought closer to him for easy and closer management. However there are contradicting reports that Besigye transfer was only prompted following a protest by angry locals demanding for the release of the FDC strongman and former party presidential flag bearer” (91.3 Capital FM, 16.05.2016).

“JUST IN: Moroto Chief Magistrate court has ordered Dr Kizza Besigye’s transfer from Moroto Government Prisons to Luzira Prison in Kampala. Chief Magistrate Charles Yeteise’s order follows Besigye’s request to be held in Kampala where he allegedly committed the offence” (Northern NewsWire, 16.05.2016).

So now the criminal in the eyes of President Museveni will be sent the majestic prison of Luzira, because he defied the unlawful government that he runs and question his legitimacy; that is an offence in Uganda and therefore he is punished. So now he is airlifted back as the silence of the international world, as they breaches of justice and detaining of Dr. Kizza Besigye. While him and other FDC leaders linger in unlawful arrests. This will be continued as the NRM Regime does whatever it can to silence the opposition and their leaders. Peace.

FDC’s Wafula Oguttu on the Eight Day of House-Arrest; also the served letter: “Invitation for an Interview and Statement Recording Vide CID Headquarters E/094/2016” (14.05.2016)

UPF Letter to Wafula Oguttu

Wafula Oguttu Statement:

“Today is the 8th Day and still l can not breathe. The security forces are still besieging my residence.I do not know why they are doing that because they have not told me anything. Before they respect my constitutional right and tell me the reasons for the illegal incarceration, they have now delivered a police invitation for me to report to one Odongo Mark Paul ,Ag. Deputy SID, CIID Headquarters., tomorrow “Monday at 9.00am without fail for yet another issue, to explain the circumstances under you attend ” …. Dr Besigye ” unlawful swearing in”. Depending on when i get my lawyer, i will certainly be there” (Wafula Oguttu, 15.03.2016).

My two cents:

They continue to have key-people of the Forum for Democratic Change behind locked doors in their own home or in prison. Detaining Opposition politicans are still under siege and kept silent in their homes. The NRM Regime does not care much for decency or honor. As Wafula Oguttu are invited for “Interview” while he has been hold unlawful under siege in his own home. Seems like the Police Officers should have addressed the situation as this is foolish. The continued harassment of them is just unjust. And nothing about is justice and freedom. This proves to what extent the NRM Regime goes to intimidate the Opposition and keep power. Not in Peace, but with full force of the Security Organizations. Peace.

Gen Mugisha Muntu Reacts to Besigye Arrest, Govt is Panicking (Youtube-Clip)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsOtB4zp-30

“According to FDC, over 100 of its supporters have been arrested from different locations in the country in a wake of just two weeks. The party senior officials like Wafula Ogutu, Ibarahim Ssemujju Nganda, and Micheal Kabaziguruka have since the illegal swearing in ceremony remained under house arrest. The party headquarters have remained sealed off by police and security agencies prohibiting any activity. Not even the party president Gen. Muntu was allowed to access their offices in Najjanankumbi today, the reason he addressed the media outside the party headquarters while standing. The FCD party organ will sit on Monday to lay new strategies and send lawyers to Karamojja to rescue the embattled opposition leader Dr. Kiiza Besigye, who was on Friday charged with treason. Dr. Besigye was on Friday evening charged before Moroto Chief Magistrates Court presided over by the acting chief magistrate Charles Yepeise and remanded until May 25th when he re-appear in court for further mention of the case” (NBS TV Uganda, 2016).

The people of Moroto reacts to the “stay” or “detainee” of who is continued to be arrested there; Just-In: Besigye charged with Treason(!) at Moroto Magistrate Court!

Moroto 13.05.2016 P1

As there has been gun-shots and Police Force out to the reactions of the Public in Moroto. Dr. Kizza Besigye have been detained since 11th May 2016 in Moroto Barracks, as the Government and Police Force wanted to silence him totally. Now some locals have reacted. Secondly there is reports that the Magistrate Court have taken him there and he will be served finally.

“The Deputy Police Spokesperson, Polly Namaye, said they were working with the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) to prosecute him” (New Vision, 13.05.2016).

Latest:

Moroto Magistrate, who was already home after work, received a call from Bart Katureebe with instructions to ensure Besigye gets detained. Besigye have to be “detained/remanded” until 26th May of 2016.

“BREAKING: Leading opposition figure Kizza Besigye charged with treason by Moroto Chief Magistrate’s Court. Details to follow” (NBS TV Uganda, 13.05.2016).

Surely he will be re-arrested and charged with something reckless. That has been ordered from Up-High as the International Media and the Foreign Presidents have left the country. So now the NRM goes back to normal and prosecute the Forum for Democratic Change with vile force and whatever they do; it is illegal! Peace.

Important facts on How the British Colonial Uganda detained Pro-Independence Activists; Similarities to how the NRM does today!

Besigye Kampala 11.05.2016 P3

Earlier in the day Charles Onyango-Obbo (COO) wrote this:

“Uganda opposition leader Besigye detained in Moroto, Karamoja region, where British colonialists detained pro-independence leaders in 1950s”.

Some deeper information on the matter; not from me, because the internet has a thing, it never forgets, but people does! There I am adding this to show the historical factors of what Charles Onyango-Obbo was tweeting. To prove the words, as you also should know the British tried to get rid of most of their records of their Colonial breaches and violations in their “Operation Legacy” in 1950s and 1960s where the United Kingdom destroyed deliberately documents of their operations in the Protectorate of Uganda and the other Colonies they ones ruled. Therefore there a lot’s of information and state documents that of historical value could verify and even say something about not too distant past.

Still, I have collected these quotes and they shows interesting facts as Dr. Kizza Besigye is detained at Moroto, and finally really see how much President Museveni does his dealings and oppressive his fellow citizens in ways that would have done Colonial London proud!

How British Colonial Government wanted to Silence the Baganda and Mengo!

British Government letter 1953 P3 UgandaBritish Government letter 1953 P2 UgandaBritish Government letter 1953 Uganda

The Quotes:

“Natives who first criticized colonial rule in 1945 such as Katikkiro Wamala and Samsom Kisekka were declared to be insane. They were deported to Arua and Bunyoro to ‘protect’ society from anti-colonial ideas”.

“In 1945 the colonial government in Uganda established the Special Branch to trace, neutralise and punish local opponents.  The Special Branch is the equivalent of the State

Research under Idi Amin and the CMI under President Museveni. The Special Branch suppressed hundreds of nationalists through up-country deportations, torture, loss of employment and imprisonment”.

“Following the 1949 riots against the colonial regime, hundreds of people became ”Abalira kunsiko” (living in the bushes) to avoid the wrathful Special Branch”.

“Fenner Brockway, a British Labour MP came to Uganda to save their lives. The Special Branch used to deport their victims to isolated places in the bush in northern Uganda”.

“Between 1945 and 1950, the colonial government in Uganda criminalized native political associations to destroy any connection with anti-colonial mobilization”

“In November 1957, Yekosofati Engur was sentenced to three years for using the example of Mau Mau to tell a friend that the British were murderers and land thieves”.

I think that is enough for now. But in these days we live it is important to not forget the past as it has its own way to repeat itself, therefore the liberator is acting like a colonial master or a totalitarian leader who is a dictator with his own fully functioning Police State, as there are more tear-gas then medicines, and so on. While the Opposition are either detained, house-arrested or silenced. While he walk and his Elite walks like proud-cock around with the army and Police Force intimidating fellow citizens. Peace.

Social Media is allowed as the Foreign Dignitaries have left Kampala; but the harassment of opposition continues; with statements from Lord Mayor Lukwago and Hon. Oguttu!

MTN Uganda 13.05.2016

With the Swearing-In over and most of the International Dignitaries left Kampala, the state thinks it puts things back to normal with lifting the Social Media ban, as the MTN Uganda have announced that the Social Media is back again without VPN. Still, the use of VPN shows the disobedience and level of disgruntled people who still use this ways to get online.

On Police in Kampala:

“Nearly every security agent in Kampala is walking with a stick. A truck was seen supplying sticks at different security outposts” (Andrew Bagala, 13.05.2016).

Still, the important news is this, Wafula Oguttu states this:

“Museveni ‘has put me and other opposition leaders including Hon Semujju, under house arrest for about a week now. Twelve policemen and soldiers have continued to block my gate. I do not get visitors .I am not allowed out. But they have not told me my crime. I am the so-called out going Leader of Opposition in Parliament The 9th.Parliament was dissolved yesterday and even the Speaker of the House did not say any anything most likely lest she annoys the Emperor. I am glad i managed to attend HE Kizza Besigye’s swearing -in ceremony on May 11. Do not ask me how i got out and back .But i did. They say our country went to the dogs .No .Dogs came to our country” (13.05.2016).

Lukwago 08.05.2016

Lukwago Statement:

“DAY 9 OF HOUSE ARREST. As my mind is deeply engrossed in the continued illegal incarceration at home, the despicable act of banishing Dr. Besigye to Karamoja, and the apparent Museveni fall out with the western powers, then my friend Andrew Mwenda throws a below-the-belt-jab, regurgitating the oft sung narrative of regime apologists that I am a stumbling block to the transformation of Kampala. I doubt that he can make any reasonable response to the rebuttal given by my good friend, Frank Gashumba” (Lukwago, 13.05.2016).

#FreeMyPresident – Besigye is still detained at Moroto Police Station/Barracks

Besigye Kampala 11.05.2016 P4

As he was Sworn-In yesterday and went into the Central Kampala without knowledge of the Authorities. Henceforth the arrest after this to silence him and the Forum for Democratic Change in Uganda.

Here is the latest statement from FDC. As he lingers after the air-lift yesterday from Kampala to Moroto as they did not have time from mid-day to the evening to drive one of their vans to Moroto Barracks/Moroto Police Stations. That is where he is and is staying for the moment, until he is free or moved by the Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) or Uganda Police Force (UPF).

FDC Statements on Besigye today:

“We have visited H.E Kizza Besigye at Moroto Police. He is well. It is upto us to make sure that he is free. ‪#‎FreeMyPresident‬” (Forum for Democratic Change, 12.05.2016).

“Some cabinet ministers in president Kizza Besigye’s government have got access to him in Morotto military barracks were he is currently detained. Only us can free the president. ‪#‎KBisPresident” (Doreen Nyanjura, 12.05.2016)‬.

This is happening while the grand-dictator lavish feast happening at Kololo. Be proud and honour yourself the galant NRM who has truely sold everything so that the President, the Executive Museveni can do as he pleases and not accountable anymore… Peace.

Press Statement: The President declares Museveni swearing-in ceremony “illegal and offensive” to Ugandans calls for Public to “Make Noise” in Support of New Government (11.05.2016).

Besigye Kampala 11.05.2016 P3

Ugandan President Kizza Besigye, has in his second act as head of the country’s transitional government, declared “illegal” the planned swearing-in ceremony of former President Yoweri Museveni on 12th May, 2016. The President also requests all heads of state and diplomatic officials to stay away as it was “deeply offensive to Ugandans.”

President Besigye further asked all Ugandans to voice their support for Uganda’s democratic transition by “making noise” by whatever means possible: music, car horns, pots and pans, church bells and most of all, their “courageous voices.”

Museveni Swears In

Supporters are asked to focus on Kampala, Entebbe Road and the Serena Hotel, where Museveni’s few remaining foreign apologists are staying, and on Kololo Airfield, while the illegal swearing-in extravaganza will be attempted tomorrow. “Wherever you are tomorrow, make some noise and send a signal for Uganda. Let’s show the world how Ugandans stand together!” President Besigye stated.

END.
