NRM MPs Kyankwanzi Resolution: Shows there is no free thought in the Movement!

Lead from the back — and let others believe they are in front”Nelson Mandela

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) have resolved nothing during the Kyankwanzi Summit in 2019. They have implemented the resolution, which honours the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC), which had already on the 19th February 2019 endorsed President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as the sole candidate for the General Election in 2021.

Today, the NRM MPs or Caucus at the Kyankwanzi have resolved that the future needs the leadership of Museveni, not only for the 2021 Election, but also beyond. That is two months apart, that the NRM MPs shown their token and loyalty to the almighty President. The President for life. That they are now promoting and directly saying:

We need Mzee more now, than ever before”, also to top it off, like anyone who is blind and not having ability to think freely, the NRM MPs states: “We need his firm guidance in mentoring and growing ideological, political and technical cadreship for protecting the gains of our revolution, as well as securing the future of the Ugandan and African people”.

That is what these people are able to say, they are Members of Parliament, the lawmakers and the elite of the Republic. Still, they are as worshipping their leader, like he is a cult leader, a deity, who has to guide them and lead them to redemption. They are awaiting his teachings and knowledge, because they don’t know where else to seek it. They are just awaiting the enlightenment from Mzee, the Bosco, the Mr. Sunday or Yoseri even.

Now they are waiting to get a vision, a sight and clear themselves from the desert and into a mirage; they want him to save them from hell and bring them into heaven. Because, that is the initial message from the latest NRM Kyankwanzi Resolution of 17th March 2019.

These MPs cannot ever be taken as free thinking individuals after signing off to this document and accepting the wording. They are all blind slaves, all minions of the President, these people doesn’t have any idea of leadership, neither what guidance is.

The NRM MPs doesn’t have the capability or mind to cope without the President. Since, they are just existing because the President. Therefore, they got to show him submission, praise him and be his servants. That is who they are, if they claim otherwise, just show their resolution. Nothing else matters, that is their ideas put into print. That is their life, this is their leader for life and they cannot see anyone else. This is why they are blind as bat and cannot see anything, not even how this sort of resolution or decision to again make the President a Sole Candidate.

Nothing is showing progress, nothing is showing excellence or integrity. They are just showing, that they cannot function or see a future without Museveni. Like there have been no Uganda before him. That is cult like behaviour. If the MPs don’t like it, that is fine, but this how it seems.

Mzee can do whatever, say whatever, act like whatever and still these people will praise him. No matter what happens, he is the guiding star, the man who has the answers. That is why they are never wearing hoodies and wanting snipers in their cars, as they drive through Bombo Road in Kampala. Peace.

NRM Kyankwanzi – Resolution (17.03.2019)

The Miseducation of Jajja!

Do not support the opposition…They want to take you into riots which is dangerous and wastage of your time. They want you to riot but what if you die from there? That Bobie Wine is a singer, leadership issues are not about music”Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to Kampala Youth Delegation at the State House on the 14th March 2019

Well, a man whose overstayed his welcome, a man whose has gone back on all his words and pledges. Who is a self-serving, self-styled for life dictator should be careful about addressing, whose a leader or not. Because, he is not leading as much as it is micro-managing, being a walking ATM or even indirectly directing things. His not guiding, his not inspiring or even creating a new generation of leadership.

If he had been so great in leadership or with creating institutions or organizations, been a statesman of sorts. Than, this President would have been gone from office and one of his successors would have taken-off and become even greater than him. It isn’t leadership to linger long, especially not buy fear, intimidation and direct forceful attempts to silence the opposition. If the President was so great and had a good message and leadership, he wouldn’t need the usage of the police and military to silence and stop the opposition from campaigning. Alas, that is not the case. That is who this President is.

Museveni, have little proof of greatness or even good leadership. The President knows how to wreck the economy, hurt the public and takes to arms if he feels challenged. If not use the laws, restrict and silence the ones who stands up to him. While people are supposed to kiss his behind, they are supposed to be obliged and be grateful to be in his presence. Therefore, he should be praised, while not really delivering.

If the President was a great leader, he would have known when his time was up, he would have groomed a successor to steady the ship and continue to pursuit the Ten Point Programme. He would have ensured the state infrastructure, the state owned enterprises and secured the financial foundation. Not borrowed like no tomorrow, paid of cronies, created a giant entourage of a patronage and supreme clientele politicians, whose all depreciating the state and its functions. Alas, that is what he has done to the T and to perfection.

If Museveni acted like his words. He wouldn’t be today at the State House. There would be someone he groomed there and resided there. Which would have benefited not only the public, but also the legacy of Museveni. Which has been tormented and destroyed by own activity and hypocrisy. The gun-taunting, militarised politics of Museveni haven’t brought salvation, neither the progress many envisioned, but more deprecating and self-inflicting wounds on the state and the ones who dares to challenge him. Peace.

NRM Kyankwanzi Summit: Only shows again, that the party is a bunch of minions of Jajja!

Well, it is that of year, that time of the prequel before the next General Election. This time, its the National Resistance Movement (NRM) gathering at Kyankwanzi, where they are having a retreat to find their way and show their tokens of loyalty to their master. Especially when his around, when he comes in army fatigue and is prepared to sensitize them. Which will happen eventually. Because, nothing is left to chance.

Just like earlier in this year, the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) endorsed Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for sole Presidential Candidate in 2021. The MPs and the Delegates at the NRM Kyankwanzi retreat, is doing the same. It is just like clockwork.

What is more striking and vindictive, but in mercy of their almighty leader, is that the Caucus at the Summit are planning another constitutional change, just to fit the Program of their leader. This time a newly minted age limit on the youth. In a way to close of the Presidency for the youngest citizens of the state. This time, you cannot run until your of 45 year old. That means you not eligible before turned 46 years old.

What is more striking, in a Republic where about 95 % of the population is under 54 years. Under 24 years of age is about 69 % of the Population. Therefore, the NRM is proposing to ban the average Ugandan for eligibility to stand as President. Not that everyone and everybody is able to run or neither fit to do so. But not even having a head start, but being blocked because of the average age says a lot. Because the estimated population above 54 years is about 5 % and really isn’t much, considering that is biggest part of the pool of the candidates. That is if the NRM Kyankwanzi idea gets put into law.

This is to definitely strike at Robert Kyagulanyi and his candidature, also if others like Joseph Mabarizi or anyone else of youthful stature seeks the highest office. However, we all know this game. We knew the previous age limit was cancelled because it fit the Presidency. If the President see this as a fitting request. He will get it through Parliament as well. That is just the way he is and operates.

Just as the loyalty of the NRM CEC, the NRM at Kyankwanzi has to shows token of loyalty and pay homage to the old man with the hat, the only man with a vision, the almighty Bosco and his clan. They have to show grace and hope for mercy. Even if they only get a yellow t-shirt or jersey for their work and dedication.

You couldn’t expect anything else, the sessions and plans ahead of 2021 are all there. There is nothing new under sun. The sun is shining, but the light its shining is clearly not enlightening all of us. Since, they are following the pattern of submission. Not thinking on their own and not even trying to show any committed to better judgement. Peace.

Opinion: Nothing is more endearing than NRM Rebels!

No matter how you look at it, it is just sweet and cuddly, the ideas of National Resistance Movement (NRM) rebels. They are just a rare breed of people. Their persistence on the ethical backbone, the narrative, that they are fighting a just cause, while still being tied directly to the oppressor. Is just unique, it is just amazing. That they are supposed to be cherished and become so special.

What is always so striking about the rebels in this party, which was based on rebellion and even a bush-war. Is that, they will be hunt down and strike back hard, against the ones that counters party line. It is so novel in their approach. It is deep and the surge usually uses all the tricks in the book. There is nothing left to chance, they are getting demoted, kicked out of the party and sometimes if lucky. If they repent, they can enter again. That is the road ahead, which is far from open to anyone. Who has already crossed the army-fatigued party line.

Why am I writing this? Today and in the coming days, there will be some NRM rebels coming forward for reasons of disloyalty or even trying to gain popularity, as the NRM CEC have endorsed the President. Not that it was a shocker or a misconception that he would run in 2021. It is just that, the NRM rebels would think the process should be done differently and they should have a voice. Not just the highest body in the party delegating whose the main candidate. However, Museveni wouldn’t do that, he leaves nothing to chance when it comes to his livelihood. That is just well known facts and the insiders, these rebels should know it best.

That is why it just seems like a play for the stage, they are just playing out their grievances, like married men who still not being laid. They have to complain and get annoyed, that their wife isn’t doing it anymore. Not that their breath doesn’t stink or their pockets are empty. That the wife is tired after working. No, it is all the wife’s fault, because they have done nothing wrong. The wifey will think otherwise.

It is the same sentiment I get out a NRM rebel. They knew this going in. The main rebel, the resistance captain, the chairman and the supposed liberator is not someone you should challenge. That is known since 1980, because he couldn’t manage to loose, even back then.

Therefore, NRM Rebels might defy, they might resist, even go in with words of fire and fury. However, they knew when they became flag-bearers and honourables, that they would play a secondary role to the Master.

That is why the rebels who went against the abolishment of the Age Limit lost the privilege of the trips to the State House, to be part of the NRM Caucus before the voting of vital bills. Some has been outcast and become “independent” MPs whose sole cause is themselves and own agenda. Even if they still are voting with the NRM on most things. That is why, the rebellions are quickly squashed.

Not only because the NRM rebels are fighting themselves, but because they are needing the pay-check and making their ends meet. They are really trying to figure out ways to get into the fold and kiss the ring. That is why these rebels are so endearing. Because, at one moment, they are defying the king. In the next moment, they are invited to the king and bowing their knees in loyalty. It is just a matter of time.

Unless, they are some resilient fellows, who got balls of steel and is ready to push the envelope. If so, they got some character, but usually, they give way and give in. They just tried to play to the popular stance, but in the end had to give up. They gave up because knew their fight was ill conceived and wouldn’t bear fruits.

That why I salute their hustle, but don’t anticipate a revolution or a true rebellion, because they will in the end. Give way to their master, yet again. Peace.

NRM CEC Retreat Concludes with Directives to Government to Effect Urgent Changes (19.02.2019)

The Forever Young: Jajja Museveni will run again!

Mr. I Never Run Out of Age. Mr. Sunday, Bosco/Bosiko or even Jajja. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is now officially the sole candidate of the National Resistance Movement. Not that is surprising to anyone. Because, Mr. President have been running for highest office since 1980 failed elections and took power by force in 1986. Since then, he has never left. He is officially on his 5 term, but we all know its his 7th and from 2021 – 2026 would be his 8th Term.

Therefore, when the NRM Central Executive Committee resolved, whatever they needed to resolve today. They surely fattened their own pockets or are ensuring someone is paid off. So, that all eyes will be on Mr. President since 1986. The man of the enclave, bottlenecks and forever promising to take the Republic to a First Nation/Middle Income Country. However, never succeed doing so, because him and his cronies are steady eating. If it is breadcrumbs or if it Toyota Prado’s, they are surely taking a mouth full.

That is why this was anticipated, as the NRM Roadmap for 2020-21 have already been launched. The plan for the NRM Primaries are soon put into print and the budgets for the coming time is also put through parliament. As the stages of General Elections and Campaigning is soon arriving.

The Old Man with the Hat has to re-engage and ensure his stamina. That the people inside the party is following his vision, whatever that is at this stage and time. If he goes yellow, mellow or just saying “Hello”. Whatever it is, isn’t trying to succeed the initiated 10 Point Programme, the Vision 2020 or 2040, but something else of his own fan fiction. Because at this point, that is what his plans are.

The President is only working for himself and not for the Republic. The party is filled with stooges and he is only looking for ways to keep people preoccupied or happy. As long as he stays in power, while his son Muhoozi is higher ranking and prepared as final heir. When the old man finally succumb to final destination. Natural death, which seems like the only likely way out of office. If the Ugandans will accept a dynasty, that is time to tell, but at the moment. No one will conquer, the President in an unfair challenge at polls. That is because, everyone is owned and controlled by the puppet master and Commander-in-Chief. The almighty Bosco, the Jajja Bings of Politics and mockery of democracy.

That is Yoweri for you, the one who thinks his supreme and the overlord of the Republic. The man entitled to rule, the one entitled to teach and to lecture, the one whose decree and word is law. The man who uses scriptures and uses medieval tactics against his opposition. There are no hope of a positive or change. Only more self-styled dictatorship and self centred laws in the time ahead.

The NRM CEC gave the public and the world, what it anticipated, because they are blind sheep, whose only destiny was to continue to milk this dying cow. To get the last pieces of milk and hopefully not spoil it.

Congrats Yoseri of Kaguta, you got this one, you carried it, but if it was wise. That is another question. Your apparently not following your own words. As Africa’s Problem was that People Overstay in Power. But these words wasn’t meant for you, but for Mobutu and the likes. You Museveni are supreme and people like shouldn’t address you. However, we do, because the Ugandan people deserves better than you. Peace.

Opinion: Someone was arrested over nothing – Just for name-calling Bosco!

You a certain individual have been ruling the Republic too long. When the news of arrests being done in the aftermath of your to brazen convoy passes on narrow roads. Where the local youth are addressing the steady progress and the inefficiency of the government, by arresting them. This being the Presidential Convoy, being hazzelled by the youth, as the Presidential Guards felt they insulted the old man with the hat, the grandfather of rap and the State House. They insulted him, nicknaming him. What they already are calling him: BOSCO.

Here is the news. Check it out.

Reported by Sadat Mbogo: “Kasumba allegedly abused the President on January 1 as he ( Museveni) was travelling from St. John’s Cathedral, Kasaka where he had attended New Year’s church service. “When his [Museveni’s] convoy reached Kanoni Town, Special Forces Command soldiers reportedly ordered one of the drivers to move his vehicle from the road to allow the presidential motorcade pass. This is when a group of youth allegedly led by Kasumba started exchanging words with the soldiers and abused President Museveni, calling him all sorts of names including Bosco. They also blamed him of constructing narrow roads,” a police source who did not want to be named because he’s not authorized to speak to the media said on Thursday” (Sadat Mbogo – ‘19-year-old man arrested for annoying Museveni’, 04.01.2019, link: https://www.monitor.co.ug/News/National/19-year-old-man-arrested-annoying-Museveni/688334-4921200-c5nuqez/index.html).

My first thought, is what sort of violation did the man and what law did he break? How come he get a criminal record for calling the President Bosco? Something, plenty does after the MTN Commercial came on the screen during 2018. Mr. President has so many nicknames, that he should be grateful, the youth didn’t call him anything from the Leopards Anus, Mr. Sunday, M-7 or anything else you could put on the old man with the hat.

Grandpa President, better chill and his Presidential Guards needs some guidance too. Because, I wonder still, what law did the man break? Did he carry a Arua Stone? Did he spread hot-air and create fuzz by saying the truth about the road?

Are you not allowed to tell officials and guards about the situation, as the Presidential Convoy takes the space on the way and presses the locals away. As the roads where the Presidential Convoy passed through, weren’t build for all this traffic. In that moment, the youthful made a statement and told the truth. A truth that was too brutal, that the man becomes a felon for doing so. Instead of consoling the citizen and caring for the words put. They have arrested him.

Seems like they are using the Sub-section 167 of the Penal Code: “(d) publicly conducts himself or herself in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace”. Which is really special, because speaking to the Presidential Guards as the Presidential Convoy are passing is called breaching the peace.

Would mean, that the soil that the President graces cannot be touched or anyone can cross that. Without fearing that they can be arrested. As the old-man with the hat has to travel on the roads, everyone has to give it a pass and not show their faces. They should be afraid to be close. Because if they are. They could all be arrested for all sorts of reasons.

Bosco cannot handle it and they will use all the means of the law to show their power. Since, there is no love lost between the community and the President. Since there is apparently, none. Peace.

Opinion: Bosco said “Leaders seem to forget what they should do”, just like you then?

Sometimes I wonder if the brain of the President is not as advanced as his mouth. Because he speaks like a leader of old, but forgetting what he is doing himself. He says the rights things in a way, but he doesn’t act upon it. He is barely scraping by with huge loans and grants from afar. Bosco and his clan, the Movement has had time to build the Republic and make it grand if they cared. If they wasn’t preoccupied with eating and scheming. Not to talk about militarism, instead of institutionalizing the state. The lack of good governance and the transparency combined with cronyism is the reason for the weak personalized state, where most of everything has to pass by the State House.

That is why it rich today…

That the almighty president of the Generation 86 said this:

Politics, in my view, should be about peace, education, health, infrastructure and wealth in homes. However people do not care about these things. Leaders seem to forget what they should do” (…) “The questions to pose to leaders are; how will you enable use to get into industry? What about cottage industries? And opportunities in the services sector and ICT? I urge NRM leaders to emphasise service delivery as opposed to personal relationships. What should be important to a leader is how to transform the lives of your people. On the question of fishing, the fact is people were harvesting immature fish and I was compelled to send soldiers to check this practice. If the soldiers are high-handed and there is evidence, I will deal with them” (Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, 25.10.2018).

I have to say, Mr. President, Bosco the Almighty, the man who does nothing wrong, but continues to forget his own past and his own administration. Not like he NRM are all about these subjects, they are barely being able to keep up. There are maybe one giant project and some projects done in the recent year. Mere basic upkeep, as the infrastructure in general isn’t splendid. There are enough bridges and roads lacking tarmac. Enough Primary Schools falling to pieces and not to talk about rampant poverty. Which hasn’t changed since the ruling regime came into power. It is more of the same, but a different calendar year. Also, the cars are different, no more Santana’s for the MP’s only Prado’s in this day and age.

President Museveni could have had the capacity to change people lives. He has had plenty of time to use and could spent it better. The President could have transformed and made a giant difference, if he cared about the Ten Point Program, even cared about Vision 2020 and so on. Yoseri aka Yoweri have clearly skipped class…

You forgot what to do, your telling other leaders, but never passed the exam yourself. Mister, better wise up. Time is running out and your aren’t getting younger Mr. Yoseri.

Or should I say Bosco, just to wipe that smirk of your face? Peace.

Bududa Landslide: Bosco’s Empty Promises to help the district since 2010!

With age and time, you can see how a government returns with same empty promises and pledges. It is like President Yoweri Kaguta Musveni and his allies comes every time after a disaster. However, they are not planning to do anything. They are talking of making differences, that is why they had made a District Development Plan in April 2011. Where the district planned both tree-planting and building the road, which was promised the year before. Also, in National Policy for Disaster Preparedness and Management in 2010, which stated who had responsibilities concerning landslide. Therefore, the state has worked on plans and securing the area, but they have not acted upon it.

Today, I am just compiling a few promises over the years to the district, to prove the lack of act and lack of following up on promises. If this was a district the government cared about, they would have acknowledge the dangers and the landslides. As the death-toll is happening nearly yearly after the rainfall and the knowledge of this common. It is not like this is new problem. The state could have built the roads and could have ensured the earth erosion wouldn’t worsen, but never cared for doing so. Therefore, I have listed the promises since 2010 until today.

Promised a road in 2010:

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has directed for the immediate construction of a road leading up to Nametsi village in Bududa, the scene of the landslide disaster which claimed more than 300 people last week. The Lack of access roads to Nametsi village has severely affected the rescue efforts as earth moving equipments can not be transported to the disaster scene. The village which is located on Mt. Elgon can only be reached on foot as vehicles stop more than ten kilometers away” (Joseph Elunya – ‘President Museveni Orders for Construction of Road to Landslide Scene in Bududa’ 08.03.2010, link: https://ugandaradionetwork.com/story/president-museveni-orders-for-construction-of-road-to-landslide-scene-in-bududa).

Presidential Directive in 2012:

The directive by President Yoweri Museveni to have survivors of Monday’s landslides in Bududa district relocated to other places within the country has drawn mixed reactions among the locals in the area. President Museveni through a message by Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi, on Wednesday directed that all those living in high risk slopes of Mount Elgon should be unconditionally relocated. The President suggested that the government could also construct urban settlements within the district to have them settled there. The directive followed the June 25 landslides that buried at least two villages in Bulucheke Sub County, Bududa district. It is still not clear how many people have died, with government putting the figure at about 18 while local leaders saying the dead could be over 100. Some of the survivors welcome the idea of having urban centers constructed within the district, but many equally say they would not move to any place outside Bududa” (Michael Wambi – ‘Mixed Reactions to Museveni’s Bududa Directive’ 29.07.2012, link: https://ugandaradionetwork.com/a/story.php?s=43316).

Promise of a road in 2015:

The President announced that the road from Magodesi to Lwakhakha will be tarmac and adding that the work is slated to begin in February 2016. He also said that Manafwa road will be extended to Bududa but called for patience as the government implements these projects in phases according to the availability of financial resources. “Money is not like the sun. We do government work step by step because not all programmes can be undertaken at the same time,” he explained” (Uganda Media Centre – ‘“Mass Industrialization to Solve Youth Unemployment”- President Museveni’ 27.08.2015, link: http://www.mediacentre.go.ug/press-release/%E2%80%9Cmass-industrialization-solve-youth-unemployment%E2%80%9D-president-museveni).

Promise of a road in 2017:

“There are very many stones on this mountain waiting to kill you people, but instead of these stones being a problem, we are going to blast them to make good tarmac roads,” he said, adding that government has also for funds to tarmac the Mbale-Sironko road” (…) “In September, this year, at least 10 people were reportedly buried alive after the mudslide occurred in Sironko and several houses were also left buried in Bududa district” (Max Patrick Ocaido – ‘President Museveni Visits Landslide Victims’ 22.11.2017, link: https://kampalapost.com/content/news/president-museveni-visits-landslide-victims).

Today:

On government’s behalf I apologize for the delayed resettlement of those living in landslide-prone areas to safer places, and commit that this process will be fast-tracked to avoid any further casualities. I was let down by my people. I apologize on their behalf. A plan was made and the people had agreed to move but it seems there was lack of coordination in government. I apologise for this, we are now going to move very fast” (Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, 14.10.2018).

We can really see how the President promises and doesn’t keep them. That is why the Bududa District Plan of 2010 wasn’t even followed, neither the National Policy for Disaster Preparedness and Management of 2011, both wasn’t followed. That shows the contempt of the district and their needs.

That is why it is special that the President comes with the same promise after a landslide in 2018, as he did in 2012 and until last year he promised a road to help out the area. Clearly, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) are not prioritizing the needs or the costs of lives that is happening here. As it is happening yearly and still the state doesn’t act upon it.

That is time to stop and actually follow up on the pledges, the promises and the needs of the District. That he also have visited several times of AK 47 and military fatigue, shows how he acts concerning the pains of the citizens. He didn’t do that today, but has done that in the past.

When, he promise quick progress and apologize for lateness, that is at least 6 years ago since he written a directive on relocation that the state haven’t been able to follow upon or allocate the funds. Peace.
