Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine Statement after his Homecoming! (20.09.2018)

So after many days away, I am glad to be back home. The day has been as hectic as it was when I left. The state has lost all shame. It is pathetic how the security agencies have devoted themselves to violating our rights with impunity day in day out!

Upon landing at Entebbe airport today afternoon, I was immediately arrested by people in police uniform and others in civilian attire. They grabbed me from the tarmac, took away my walking stick and grabbed my red beret off my head!

I was forced into a waiting white police vehicle. I insisted that I did not want to get into an unknown car with complete strangers and that I had my own car waiting for me at arrivals but my plea fell on deaf ears.

Even when I suggested that they let me get into that strange vehicle with Hon. Winnie Kiiza who I had travelled with from Kenya, they could hear none of that. I was searched and my passport was taken from me. I still don’t know where it is. I got sandwiched between two counter terrorism policemen in a vehicle that had other police officers. I was then driven off towards the UN airbase with a string of police patrol cars and military trucks. They drove me breakneck speed and after a long ride, we got to Kiira then headed to Gayaza road unti I was eventually dropped at my home in Magere.

Once again my rights were grossly violated, but most importantly the rights of my friends, family and lawyers who endured gross harassment throughout the day. I am very bothered by the gruesome pictures and videos which I just saw. Why would security agencies dehumanize people that were going about their business? I saw people, most who were going about their business along Entebbe road and Kasangati town being beaten and manhandled by some security personnel. This impunity must stop.

I hope Ugandans who watch these things now fully understand why we must urgently work towards redemption.

I was overwhelmed by the masses of people who waited for me at our home in Magere. I cant thank you enough! I am thankful to God for getting me home safe. We shall get to talk more in the coming days.

Uganda Police Force Press Release on the “peaceful” Return of Bobi Wine (20.09.2018)

Bobi Wine detained briefly at Kasangati Police Station, before “escorted” home!

Just like clockwork, the Police arrested Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine as he arrived at Entebbe International Airport. As they have used Armoured Personal Vehicle (APC) and a convoy to pass Entebbe Expressway and cross Greater Kampala into Wakiso District into Kasangati.

The reaction this has created is that the seizing of his rights and violations of his freedom is eminent. In the same fashion as the Police has done for years to Besigye. Therefore, the ones who knows this Police Force and orders from above. Knows, that is why the President is at home, monitoring and listening to the affairs. As yet another citizens are arrested, because of the popularity and the message he sends. Which is in sharp contrast to Bosco’s leadership right now. As the youth are now on the road-sides and bulging around Kasangati Police Station. Clearly, the rise of Bobi Wine. Wasn’t anticipated by the President and his cronies.

Just as always too, Kasangati is where the Presidential Guards aka Special Force Command is residing and guarding the men. Erias Lukwago have today been under house arrest and not allowed to leave his home. Surely, the same has appeared with another Kasangati resident Besigye. Whom the Police have not taken, meaning they have closed his gates.

After being detained for an hour or so at the Police Station. The Police finally let him go and are hours later after coming to Uganda, in his home. Surely, this home will be besieged by the Police and Special Force Command, as they normally does to their opponents. The ones who doesn’t fear Bosco. Usually get special treatment with arrests, detentions and forged up charges. Just like Bobi Wine is getting these days.

This is saga will not stop, as long as the state is oppressing him and the people who are supporting him. Because the army cannot keep pushing in the streets and occupy their own territory, that will just be war-zone and not liveable. Peace.

Bobi Wine Returns: He has left JKIA, but there are already reports of several arrests!

This government continues to break own guidelines, as the Uganda Police Force statement yesterday was breached this morning as Eddie Yawe, Bobi Wine’s brother was picked up at the Entebbe Airport. While there several more whose been arrested. While the deployment of security guards and soldiers is from the waiting lounge at the airport until Gyaza in Kasangati.

As this is happening he is now on a flight from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi towards Entebbe. Clearly, the whisking away operation is there. As the soldiers and officers inside the airport have been calling for their words and their go-signs.

“Several journalists including Joel Ssenyonyi of NTV Uganda, Sirajje Kiberu of KTV and Bobi Wine family and friends; Eddie Yawe, Nubian Li and his producer Dan Magic among others have been arrested and detained” (CBS FM, 20.09.2018).

There are roadblocks everywhere and all cars are being checked by the authorities. Therefore, the reports from yesterday where true. We can just wonder whose up next to be arrested. We should anticipate that Bobi Wine will be “escorted” and taken away, as he arrives on the airport. Because, all the other arrests make it seem plausible.

“Security forces have mounted a checkpoint near kajjansi flyover, all cars are being checked and no journalists allowed beyond this point , Traffic jam stretches from Kajansi to zanna” (Nicholas Bamulanzeki, 20.09.2018).

If you we’re thinking straight, you knew this is really the intimidation mode and ensure anyone connected to Bobi Wine is arrested for Preventative Reasons, and the journalists for “inciting violence” as they may actually cover the news. If this wasn’t such a big thing, it wouldn’t be a epic traffic jam, because of the road-block/checkpoints. However, it is, because one man is returning home and the President fears him more than his life himself apparently. If he didn’t fear him, why is he sending his army to greet him? Aye?

As Bobi Wine Returns: Heavy deployment of soldiers and road-blocks in Kampala and Entebbe!

Tomorrow as Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine are returning to Uganda. The Uganda People’s Defence Force and Uganda Police Force are preparing for his return. There are report of road-blocks put up from Kampala on Entebbe Road and dozens inside in Entebbe town as well. There been deployment all around, as the Security Organizations are prepared and ensuring they can contain the masses of people cheering for Bobi Wine’s return.

We know, the authorities are alerted as the Media Houses are warned to live broadcast the return of Bobi Wine. The Uganda Communications Commission called the media houses directing them not to do it. This shows how they want to silence dissidents.

They are already on the streets with road-blocks like the grandest die-hard terrorist was returning, like the biggest human rights violator came back to the Republic. They are borderline crazy, as he is an MP and a voice for the poor and the youths. This shows the weakness of the state, as the President are still home in Entebbe ordering the shut-down and such. It is convenient, that the Parliament is suspended and the Judiciary are having a break this Friday. Certainly, this will not stop the needed facilitation of possible arrest and house-arrest of Bobi Wine. You know the UPDF is serious, when 5 Trucks loaded with soldiers have left Makindye Military Barracks in advance of tomorrow.

Bobi Wine are already in trouble as it is, as the Police was giving him guidelines and would “escort” him home. Which means whisking away in a van, possible day arrest and more humiliation before dumped at his home. If not, they will keep him and use the Preventative Arrest for everything it is worth. While the ones showing up and being beaten by the Police or arrested by Authorities will be taken into custody for inciting violence or breaking the Public Order Management Act (POMA). All of this is known use of law by the Security Organizations in Uganda. We can anticipate mambas in the streets and soldiers bouncing between the main streets to ensure calm and intimidation at high level. As Bobi Wine is supposed to cross Kampala into Kasangati. Make sure that his plans to visit family will not be kept, as the authorities will not accept doing that. As the public might roar, as the Kamwokya have already rioted in his honor.

There will be more road-blocks and the police plans to check anyone passing to Entebbe are not wearing or having “People Power” T-Shirts, as the processions and welcoming him tomorrow. If they wasn’t fearing Bobi Wine. They wouldn’t act like this and make everyone a suspect who crosses into the roads towards Entebbe today and tonight. We should be worried about possible stray-bullets and deaths of innocents, the sinister activities of the police and detaining of opposition leaders as they would meet and greet if they could. But we know that Kizza Besigye will be picked up, Erias Lukwago house-arrested and Ingrid Turinawe too in jeopardy. While other might follow suit too, as Asuman Basalirwa or Kassiano Wadri.

Well, we could foresee this, the NRM and Museveni are always ordering the army when they needed this things fixed. Now they will do what they can to control, the none problem Bobi Wine is clearly haunting them and they are now going all out to silence him. Peace.

Bobi Wine is on the way home: But he isn’t really free!

Today’s statement from the Uganda Police Force (UPF) on the new Guidelines for his return tomorrow from medical treatment after the torture post Arua By-Election. Proves my point, that as long as you’re are a stark contrast and even a dissident of the National Resistance Movement (NRM). Your freedom is equally limited because of your choice of political affiliation. By these means, the Police will only be allowed to meet with his family at Entebbe Airport and no one else.

This just proves how measured and controlled society is, as the Public Order Management Act, the Anti-Besigye Act is now used against Bobi Wine too. As the People Power are supposed to oppressed and silenced on his return. This just proves that and to what extent, as gatherings or assembling to celebrate, to walk in processions or even wish him welcome are forbidden by the authorities. They just have to silence the people, because that fits the paradigm of Bosco and Boscoites.

We know by now if the NRM or Bosco actually was travelling anywhere, it wouldn’t be with notification or even consideration of the laws applying to the opposition. They can just do whatever that fits and fill the forms later. That is what happened during the run-up to the General Election 2016. Therefore, the composed guidelines doesn’t apply to the government itself, only its dissident citizens whose not following the scheduled programming.

Robert Kyagulanyi will most likely be whisked away, maybe even in that famous black-van by the authorities, as they will be heavy armour and mambas on the streets. There will be like an occupation between Kasangati and Entebbe Airport. You would be thinking the greatest mass-murderer ever to grace planet earth was popping by for some quality matooke. However, it is just the return of Bobi Wine. Kamwokya and other parts of Kampala will also be under siege tomorrow. As the newsreels of arrest and possible house-arrest have been revealed to the public.

When coming back, he will again be tormented and even get the Besigye treatment of being transported between Police Stations and suddenly dropped of home at night for no other reason, that he is torn in the flesh of Bosco. Because Bosco cannot pay him off or silence his defiance against him.

Key words in the guidelines to Bobi Wine: “2.He will be availed security from the airport to his home” (UPF, 19.09.2018). That they will escort his dissident remains to his home and let him out of the public domain as much as possible and if that creates issues. They have the rights to arrest him, because the Police cannot be able to contain the public support of the MP. That is why they have banned all public display and welcoming gestures, as they wished these same sentiments would be every time Bosco leaves for shopping in Khartoum or Nairobi. Alas, that is not the case.

So because of this, we know that when Bobi Wine returns, he isn’t really free. That is anticipated and he should be aware as well, because he is now under the same line of fire as Besigye have been since leaving the NRM. Bobi Wine never left NRM, but he is a fresh torn and a problem for the President as his surge of popularity. Therefore, they will do what they have to contain him and also silence his support. To what level will show tomorrow, but we are not surprised if he enters the tarmac and is whisked away to an undisclosed location by the authorities. Peace.

UPF: Security Guidelines for the Return of Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, MP Kyadondo East (19.09.2018)

Is Museveni afraid of Bobi Wine? The Quack is Staying home instead of leaving for UNGA!

Similarly, a political leader must diagnose correctly the ills of society. A doctor who does not diagnose his patient’s disease adequately is nothing but a quack. In politics we have also got quacks – and Uganda has had a lot of political quacks over the past two decades or so.” Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on the 26th January 1986 – ‘Mere Change of Guard’.

Certainly, the ones who doesn’t get it, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is a quack, as he is Exellency and the Fountain of Honor. The 1986 rhetoric are really backfiring today, as he hasn’t shown the character, as he still promises the same remedies or simplification of problems as he did when he took power. The President still thinks that settles the score and proves that the ultimate quack is himself.

Well, this here isn’t about his lying self, this about that he is staying home. Not because he wants to save money and buy shoes for the population. Neither, is there more important tasks back home. As he has no trouble leaving for Addis Ababa or Khartoum, whenever he pleases, even Nairobi or Dodoma. Therefore, there are other reasons. I will first put the official line, which we all know isn’t true, because the political reality isn’t there. Just take a look!

President Museveni has elected not to attend the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) that gets underway in New York today, according to highly-placed diplomatic sources” (…) “State House said the President has other “more important” issues to attend to while according to Foreign Affairs ministry, Mr Museveni tabled his decision for a Cabinet discussion two months ago. The President told Cabinet it was pointless to travel to New York when he was going to address the assembly for only 15 minutes. It is also costly in a way that each time he travels, he is accompanied by a big delegation. Cabinet endorsed the decision and the records are there,” State International Affairs Minister Okello-Oryem told Daily Monitor last Saturday” (Frederic Musisi – ‘Museveni skips UN General Assembly’ 18.09.2018 link: http://www.monitor.co.ug/News/National/Museveni-skips-UN-General-Assembly/688334-4764512-fob5my/index.html).

The most important issue is that Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is returning this week after a media frenzy in the United States, where he also gotten needed medical treatment after the Post-Arua By-Election torture. Which gave him a battering and hurt him for over 2 weeks between 14th August 2018 and when he was able to leave early September, after being blocked once by the authorities at Entebbe.

However, President Museveni has become a writer and steady speaker, because Bobi Wine can enlighten and put a spark on the youth in the ghettos. In a way that Museveni haven’t been able for years. As Museveni needs to pay Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone to get crowds like he did before the elections in 2016. Bobi Wine can just show-up or even go door-to-door and get positive response. That is because, he speaks like the generation and the ones who has only seen Museveni as the President. The ones that never saw Yusuf Lule, Tito Okello, Milton Obote or even Idi Amin. Therefore, Museveni are struggling, he cannot manage to beat that and the message of Bobi Wine.

Even if the ironies, is that the peasant message of Museveni in the 1980s isn’t far off what People’s Power is today in 2018. However, Museveni is a self-serving beast at this point and not eager to deliver anything else than wealth to the clan. The rest can just go amuse themselves in poverty. That is why he delivers breadcrumbs in the ghettos now, but didn’t do much for the three decades ruling. If he did, the UPDF wouldn’t go there last year to kill army-worms.

That is why Museveni is scared, because he knows he is a quack and failed. He knows that he is the big-man, His Excellency and President of three decades. That just continues to linger and has trouble with the kid who was 4 years old when he grabbed power. It is magical and sad at the same time.

That the man who blamed Obote for everything are delivering the same sort of nonsense and lack of development. On top of that, always asking for more time. While he trouble with a youngin’ who comes from the utter poverty and risen to the stratosphere. Someone he cannot control and speaks of the similar message as he did, when you was without power. Bobi Wine speaks of the same hope and liberty, as the ones Museveni promised the people, but however, never delivered.

That is why he is afraid and staying quacking at home. He will torment Bobi Wine, just like Museveni has done to other dissidents and he will deflect the misuse of power doing so. That is in Museveni’s nature. This is part of the fear, because Museveni cannot control Bobi Wine, just like Museveni cannot control Besigye. Both of them are vocal dissidents who are not afraid of him and that scares Museveni. That is why he don’t know what to do with them, as the world is watching.

While Museveni misused his words, there might be hope in People’s Power and Bobi Wine. Something Museveni cannot contain forever. That is why he is afraid and staying home. The 27 Guns will not change the guard this time. It will only make it worse. Peace.

Statement to the Media on the European Union Parliament Resolution on Uganda (17.09.2018)

The Fear is Real: As NRM ‘dismiss’ Besigye and Bobi Wine!

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) and its defenders, the cronies and the ones who works in- and around NRM are working hard to make Dr. Kizza Besigye and Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine into empty leaders without a vision, men who are running around spreading falsehoods and ensuring their leadership role and role models are failing.

While the NRM are doing so, be aware, that is their plan, just to make sure the NRM can rule indefinitely and misuse their power. That is why they are continue to blame the opposition, while they acted in restraint, while they apparently arrested 66,000 youths and the Arua 33. They have charged the opposition, while never giving any answer to the torturing of the opposition, neither answering to the deaths done by the authorities.

That is why this is tiring, as this whole ordeal happen because of extra-judicial killing of Hon. Ibrahim Abiriga and the contest for the deceased MP in Arua Municipality. If it wasn’t for that, this sort of play and this actions from mid-August 2018 wouldn’t been the case. That is the reality, one senseless killing has spiralled into riots, demonstrations and more deaths. Not only torture, forged charges on Opposition leaders and also activists.

Bobi Wine is no put on blast, said he is all charm and passion, but not proven leadership. However, was Museveni proven before he took power in 1986? He lied to Julius Nyerere and Milton Obote about his military prowess before the coup d’etat against Idi Amin. Therefore, I am tired of people, saying that Bobi Wine is a problem and just empty words. Museveni wasn’t much either, he wouldn’t be much if he didn’t get backers from Libya. That is why the NRM are trying to push all kinds of narrative.

Just like everyone has said Besigye doesn’t have the character to be President. He was clearly inteligent enough to establish and ensure the structure of NRM’s Movement System in the late 1980s and showed his capacity then, as well as what he has done with building the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). Besigye cannot do anything right in the eyes of the NRM, that is because he the stark contrast to the NRM. Even if he was a previous NRM and was even in the cabinet and appointed by Museveni. That is because he has shown that he works against them. That is why he has been charged with treason, lived in exile (which is an excuse against him, even if Museveni did the same), arrested and house-arrested. This is what the NRM does to the real opposition, not how they manage Abed Bwanika

That is why Bobi Wine is now becoming the same mantle piece, he is under the same attacks, the use of his past. Just like Besigye has gotten lot of crap for his exile and return, even if Museveni did the same. Now Bobi Wine will be attacked for his use of weed, because that is clear violation of role model. Not like a killer and liar isn’t a problem? Because Museveni is the holy of the holy and his mischief is cool, but when others does it, it is a giant problem.

No matter if Bobi Wine and Besigye was choir boys all their lives, if they had been bank-clerks and not done any harm to a fly, the NRM would make them into devils, who lit up Jesus on the Cross. That is because the NRM are using their tactics to make them intolerant and ignorant, people who just seek power, but will not use it properly. Not like the NRM over three decades has much to show. That is another scenario, but not fiction, it is actual reality. This is so boring to repeat, but if the NRM was so great, why are the such a lack of development after three decades? You have had a generation to make a difference, but it still looks like Obote, but with a Iphone(!!). That is all. Peace.
