Sudan: The Unified Office of Physicians – Statement (10.11.2021)

In a flagrant encroachment by the regular forces on the vigil carried out by the Coordination of the El-Obeid Resistance Committees today, the revolutionaries were attacked with batons and tear gas, and about 17 of them were arrested, including the doctor, Nadia Awad, a member of the Central Sudanese Doctors Committee she was beaten, arrested and taken to the middle section.

This evening, all detainees were released with guarantees after the intervention of fellow lawyers.

We in the Unified Office of Physicians, as we offer our salutations to our colleague, Nafeha Awad, and to the comrades of the martyrs and the rebellious millions in every inch of our land; But we affirm that our solidarity.

What is certain with them is the complete and continuous revolutionary action, and with more and more hard work to overthrow the decrepit tyrants, who practice the same methods of their fallen benefactors. And they will follow sooner, and the revolutionaries are continuing their path that they have sworn to walk, towards the dawn of the dawn that looms over them every time a martyr rises from them.

Or a companion of them was injured, or a resister was imprisoned and tortured.

Sudan: United Nations (UN) – Memorandum – Interaction with defacto authorities (05.11.2021)

Sudan: Hemeti supports the second coup

“We reaffirm our full commitment to achieving the revolution’s goals of freedom, peace and justice, facilitating a dignified life for the citizen, providing basic services, forming an independent civil government without the protection of anyone, working to achieve stability and peace and taking into account the best interests of our people” (…) “We affirm our full respect for the right of young men and women to peaceful and democratic expression, demonstration and at work to protect it and guarantee it according to the law” (…) “Have come to correct the course of the popular revolution and preserve the security and stability of the country and the unity of our people and our land” (…) “after all attempts at reform failed due to a small group’s adherence to control of the country, their concern for the struggle for power and their negligence. towards the demands of the people expressed in their glorious revolution “– General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo aka Hemeti

The silence has been deafening, but the timing of the statement last night is really evident of where the second in command are. The Commander of Rapid Support Force or Janjaweed. The militia of terror and anguish of Darfur. Who has been committed to crimes and violence against unarmed civilians! That is who Hemeti is and what he does.

This man is willing to kill and brutalize people to get ahead. He is willing to trade weapons and sell resources for his own benefit. This is a army man and a calculated man as well. He doesn’t weigh in without hoping for benefits for himself.

Gen. Dagalo wouldn’t risk his spot or his office over a second coup d’etat. No, this man is supporting Al-Burhan because he hopes for a handsome pay-off. That his soldiers and brigades can silence the revolution and hope some puppets can be installed in their place. So, they can listen to Hemeti and Al-Burhan. That is what he wants and not defiant civilian leaders.

Hemeti would rather silence the Unions and the Forces of Freedom and Change Declaration (FFC). If he would get his wish, everyone would just be silent and move ahead. Because this is beneficial for him and his men. The armed officials are getting all power and ceasing it. They are hoping for some willing pawn to jump into their stead and forget the Juba Declaration. Forget the negotiations and the parties of which the Transitional Military Council have betrayed this October 2021. Yes, Al-Burhan and Hemeti has betrayed them and tried to take all power… that is all there is to say.

They can promise the world now and that they will respect the revolution, but we know that is a lie. They were never interested in it in the first place. They just hijacked it with the Sovereign Council and temporary measures, but when the push comes to shove, he takes it all. That’s what both Al-Burhan and Hemeti wants to have it all and have no accountability for it.

These two military commanders don’t want to face consequences or repercussions for the lives they have taken. No, these two wants to live on and let bygones be bygones. They want to get off the hook and hope people have faith in their actions. That’s why they are fixing themselves up and wants to cease power.

If they believed in the principals of the Juba Declaration or the Revolution. They wouldn’t use force to silence, kill and arrest the civilians who is resisting the military takeover. No, the General would be on the barricades and on the front-line with the protesters. Alas, he don’t value it and hope he can get away with it. That’s not shocking but shows how he hopes this will dies down and he can reign supreme again. He was able to get off the hook before and get more power. The General hopes for the same in 2021, as he did in 2019. This man is a coning, and nobody should be in awe that he does this now. Peace.

Sudan: Expect Al-Burhan and the Generals to hijack another revolution

If history is a lesson and something that shouldn’t be repeated. Than we have one choice and that’s not believe the words or the promises of the Transitional Military Council (TMC). Al-Burhan and Hemiti, neither any of the Generals of the reign of former President Al-Bashir shouldn’t be trusted.

If you trust these generals, than your giving away your life to bloodthirsty men. These high ranking military officials has escaped hell and they have raged in the republic before. It is not like these men has had any accountability or been hold responsible for massacres. The generals of the Al-Bashir era shouldn’t hold any sort of position or govern for that matter.

These Generals has no birthright or supposed natural place as the heads of state or executives of government. No, they are there because they have the guns and their amassed wealth. Since the former government was a military junta, which was defended by the same bunch of gentlemen. Therefore, these folks shouldn’t be there anymore…

Al-Burhan has already been lucky to have the time in office and been part of the transitional government. His only there because he was able to station himself and finesse the previous situation. They were also able to dupe the civilian activists and union leaders, which gave way to early. That’s why his there and the days ahead of a further loosing his role. He ambushed the transition and taking suspending the Sovereign Council. This because, the almighty General was fearing for taking responsibility for the deaths, murders and extra judicial killings done by his men.

The Sudanese people haven’t fought to get Al-Burhan or any of the Generals into power. No, they have fought to get rid of these military commanders. Who continues to impose their reign and rule of the Republic. Like they have a God given right to do so. Wonder, if the scriptures said to those who hold weapons or guns, God blesses them with good fortunes and power over men. Because, that’s how it seems at this point.

These military commanders was far to lucky and the civilian leaders was to trusting in these people. They thought they would have kindness in their hearts and not be sullied by the years of power. No, these folks are conning, conniving and disingenuous at its finest. These military commanders has killed to get to the top and served under a brutal dictator for years. Therefore, these men will not be lovely or caring.

Al-Burhan and the generals surrounding him will without mercy decree death. That has been shown and would be easily done again. That they have no arrested and detained, tortured and assaulted other civilian leaders is just show of force. However, that’s what they does, because they have no other weapons or methods of securing power.

The TMC and the Generals would easily appoint a puppet as a Prime Minister and get “civilians” to make it look nice. However, that will be smokescreen, as these gentlemen will hold all power over them and direct every single move. Which is not what’s the deal in the first place and why the other Sovereign Council was suspended. Since, the President and the Generals was close to lose their grip on power. The transition was moving along and the military was getting testy. That’s why they used this excuse to take it again.

So, don’t expect Al-Burhan to re-instate a real civilian government or a transitional body. That will just be the facade and for the public’s eye. While the real structures of power and mandate lays with him. That’s why he did the second coup and hopes to overcome the hurdles. The trade-offs and all the issues. To remain on top and enjoy the spoils of office. That’s his game and he wants so badly to hijack this revolution. He wants to become the face of it and win again. However, the general public, the citizens and all civilians shouldn’t accept that. They are better than that and this isn’t what they fought for. Nobody fought for Al-Burhan, except for Al-Burhan himself. Peace.

Sudan: 32nd Special Session of the Human Rights Council – Statement by Dr. Maryam Al-Mansoura Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan – On the human rights situation in Sudan, Khartoum 5 November 2021 (05.11.2021)

Sudan: Sudanese Professionals Association – Statement (05.11.2021)

The coup authorities continue their efforts to gain time by launching bubbles of useless political initiatives that are predetermined to fail to meet the clear demands of the street.

Meanwhile, the putschists continue to carry out massive arrest campaigns, impose their arbitrary measures, and issue decisions for exemptions and appointments with the aim of placing the joints of the state apparatus in the hands of their cronies from the remnants of the ousted regime, through campaigns to dismiss and arrest civil service leaders and union leaders. And the opportunity to pounce on the elements of resistance.

In this context, the calls conveyed by the media for meetings with representatives of the resistance committees come with the aim of providing political cover for minor settlements that do not meet the demands of the street, but are designed with the aim of breaking up the unity of the revolutionary bloc. After it became clear that Al-Burhan and his council were involved in a foolish adventure that put them on the edge of the abyss.

The mass movement must confront these cunning schemes by raising the degree of coordination and cooperation between its forces, and urgent agreement on a political declaration that defines its goals and coordinates its efforts to move its effectiveness and tactics to the initiative site.

The coup is confused and isolated, and the hour of its imminent defeat will strike with the organization of ranks and the integration of efforts, and just as our people broke the arrogance of this treacherous council time and time again, from June 30, 2019 to last October 30, it will do it again and no list will be established for them after it.

Sudan: Sudanese Professionals Association – Statement (04.11.2021)

Honorable Professionals,

female workers and wage earners

The fans of our proud people

We renew the call for a return to civil disobedience on the next Sunday and Monday (November 7 & 8), after it was frozen by the recommendations of a number of professional bodies due to known economic considerations.

Your broad participation in the implementation of the rebellion means protecting those involved in the act of rebellion against any punitive attempts or arbitrary measures, and it also means the success of the rebellion in achieving its goals and making it more painful for the putschists.

You have undoubtedly followed in the past few days the series of decisions taken by the coup leader from dismissals in a large number of leading positions in the civil service and filling them with the appointment of remnants of the ousted regime in various state institutions, a trend that reveals the civil incubator of the putschists and an attempt to turn back the clock,

Continuing this approach means re-empowering the rescuers, the displacement and dismissal of the honorable, the unity of the female workers and workers through disobedience, strikes, and stances rejecting these decisions, which are necessary to protect your victorious revolution and defeat the illusions of the putschists.

Our strength is in our unity, and in the continuation and diversification of our peaceful resistance to tyrants until this night is over, and victory is coming.
