Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC): Press Statement (18.08.2021)

Opinion: The Soviet and the U.S. lost in Afghanistan [and when will the imperial wars stop?]

Afghanistan Map

The Soviet Union was occupying and had too withdraw from Afghanistan after a ten year long war between 1979 to 1989. Today and in the recent week the United States has also withdrawn most of their troops and given way to Taliban. Just like the Soviets withdrawal gave way to Mujahidin.

The United States and the “coalition of the willing” entered Afghanistan in 2001 and now 20 years later in 2021 the U.S. and their allies have withdrawn their troops from the republic. This is giving a new vacuum and the one who has both political and army power at the moment is Taliban.

This is just showing that the whole enterprise and promises of the imperial forces was all a lie. Just like the Soviets failed to install their puppet government. The U.S. and allies is failing to do so as well. While Taliban is furthering their control by taking control of Kabul and the former Government of Afghanistan will be toppled by them.

That is happening, because the current “legitimate” government have been there because the U.S. has anointed fellow leaders and their system. They have been puppets of the Pentagon and the U.S. State Department. Now, the Afghanistan government will be represented by Taliban, which has to govern after decades of wars and lack of peace.

Now all that worked with the U.S. and their allies will be endangered, but that is what happens when you take a chance or get hired by invasion forces. That is happening everywhere and some allies are saying their “hired” local personnel wasn’t for the future purpose of becoming asylum-seekers. However, when you work for foreign invasion forces, these individuals are in difficulties and needs help, as they worked for invaders and for imperialists. Plus they might be easily seen as traitors by the new rulers. Therefore, the “coalition of willing” who needed locals and native speakers to “colonize” Afghanistan needs to repay these civilians and ensure their safety. That should be the easiest thing to do after needing them for 20 years.

The Taliban will do what is expected to do. They will issue decree and show their strength in the times ahead. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will prove their points and start governing. They have waited for this for decades and now finally have a shot. These has been radicalized and extremists, because the invaders has taken away their ability to rule themselves and used sophisticated methods to defeat them.

The U.S. and their allies hasn’t delivered hope or democracy. The invaders haven’t shown they cared about these values or tried to build it. No, they were instead there to keep control and have fellow loyal puppets in Kabul. That’s why the current government, advisors and civil servants are fleeing from the Kabul Airport today. Together with the total withdrawal of the armed forces from the US. This is why the whole project is failing and nothing is left behind.

Afghanistan has been destroyed, depleted and a war-zone decades. This is why Taliban is able to regain strength and recruit. This was inevitable and there was nothing saying the U.S. allies and government in Kabul would gain any real popularity. If the current President would have any real power or ability. He wouldn’t have fled the first second, as Taliban is knocking on the door. Because, he knows his a nobody without the imperial support of him.

Now Taliban not only have to rebuild the Republic, but they have to build trust and build up a functional government. While the U.S. and allies are fleeing the Republic. When the Embassies are closed and the diplomats has left the scene.

Taliban will issue their decrees and sharia law. The freedoms and liberties that the U.S. forces enforced will be taken away. That was a long time coming. No one should be shocked by that, but the imperial forces would fall eventually … just like the Soviets did too. This is two superpowers losing in Afghanistan.

There so many who has lost their lives in this conflict. Plenty who die because of the recent days and the Taliban will retaliate against the ones they deem fit. The new rulers will enforce their rules and dogmas, just like the U.S. did. That is what any government does and we can dislike it. But that is how things are going.

W. Bush ordered this and Biden is stopping it. The Pentagon and the U.S. cannot invest in a war they are losing. The U.S. isn’t winning anything in Afghanistan and only breeding more extremists, which was the reason for the conflict in the first place. However, delivering the war and not properly implement a “legit” government. The U.S. and allies didn’t get love or care, no they were imperialists and they didn’t build a functional government to leave behind. Neither, did they train or build a national army to secure the territory. If they had… then the Taliban wouldn’t have done this so quickly and won the war.

This is why the U.S. as a superpower is failing. Just like Soviet did. The U.S. haven’t administrated this correctly. They haven’t even with 2 decades of control used the time and manpower to build a strong national army. If they had, today would have been differently and the U.S. allies would still have puppets in Kabul. However, they only used own men, arms and technology to beat Taliban. Now, that those withdrawn … the current leaders has to leave and seek political refugee elsewhere.

That says it all about the humiliating loss of the U.S. here. The U.S. is as broken as the Soviet was. Taliban is taking over just like the Mujahidin did and we are repeating history. Time will tell how this goes, but it is not in the hands of Moscow or Washington D.C.

It will be in the hands of Taliban and their structures. No matter how we think of their beliefs and the way they rule. It is their time and they will in the end be held responsible by the Afghan people themselves. So, we just have to see and in the end … that is uncharted territory and we can only wonder the consequences of it. Peace.

Opinion: Taliban is suddenly “geniune”, what is up with that?

The United States and their current diplomatic style seems a bit erratic and foolish. The ones deeming it fit. It is short-sighted and not all that well thought through. Even if the Department of State, the White House and all their jesters are speaking greatly of their efforts.

This week second big blow from them was the peace deals in Afghanistan. It is like the United States want to forget the years of destruction, killings, drones and active support of a internal civil war to deplete a Republic out of terrorists. Suddenly, they have been talking and negotiating peace with the Taliban.

They have negotiated with the “seekers”, with the gentlemen who has dismantled the values of woman and who was for an Islamic revolution in Afghanistan. A group forged out of the Pashtuns of Kandahar. The Taliban who even had a “Department for Promoting Virtue and Preventing Vice” after their interpretations of the Sharia laws. Therefore, this is not the sort of gentlemen that US really usually associate themselves with or even make break bread with.

For me its strange after this long war, after all the tours and all the weapons pushed upon the republic. To fight the Taliban as their enemy to suddenly back off. That just sounds weird. Peace is in everyone’s interest. No doubt, to build up a republic shattered by a long prevailing war like Afghanistan.

However, the timeline of moving away. The negotiations between the state will persist. The deadlock will eventually come. The questions will remain, was this all justified? Yes, the NATO and the US did interfere in Afghanistan for years. This after the Taliban in connection with Al-Qa’ida attack New York on 9/11 2001. The Taliban was already established in 1994. Therefore, the group and their power was already rising there.

What we can wonder about is the timing now and the reasons for it. Is to have a grand deal ahead of the elections? Is this is the big deal for foreign policy ahead of Presidential Elections in 2020 in the United States? Is it that simple?

Since, the Taliban has been the enemy for ages. The US has collectively and with all power said they are terrorists. President after President has hunted them down and used all weapons to catch them. Now, suddenly the US will work to stop sanctions and erase that. That is a bit strange isn’t it?

Is that the Taliban is now just a local group of militants with political connections, therefore they can now be left alone? They are not dangerous, not armed through teeth’s and has a belief system that can crush western society anymore? So, what is up?

I know, we should be happy that it is possible peace in Afghanistan. That is supposed a good thing. However, I am sceptical and questioning it. I don’t have all the answers, but there are some remaining factors out there.

Taliban was deemed as trouble, as someone who festered in terrorist for so long. They where evil and characterized as destroyers of society. How come they are now people the US intend to talk too?

Have they suddenly paid for Ivanka’s handbags or something? I don’t know what magic wand they used, but it certainly did the trick. Taliban is off the hook. They are apparently, not a crook anymore. Who knows, maybe they were saints all along, but Washington deemed them as sinners? Peace.

A spiteful chant: Where did humanity go?

Where did humanity go in our time? When did we cease to care about other people’s struggle and their causes? When did that cease to matter? Because in our time, the rich and wealthy are securing more and more resources, while the poor is having no ways to get out of it. The states are closing their borders, stricter rules for refugees and asylum-seekers. While in dictatorships, the harassments and the internally displaced numbers are rising. The rich countries are investing in warfare, but not taking charge for the fleeing refugees from the crisis. They are trying to pay the states in regions and close the borders in migration routes. There is no heart, just cash-money. The heart has left, and the ignorance is rising.

The deaths of civil wars, the displacements of draconian laws and of dictators doesn’t matter. The lack of dialogue and of political freedoms, that doesn’t matter either. The lack of compassion and of political will change is also okay. As long as the troubles from afar doesn’t touch us. However, we will seal of the borders and make sure the innocent victims of internal disputes and skirmishes hopefully can cross the border to the closest country and not seek refugees in Europe or in the United States. Because, we cannot mange to show some humanity and heart.

The blood in your veins should boil, but for most. We don’t give a damn, they don’t give a fig. If their villages are burned to the ground by the military. If the Police is detaining people without any justification. If the state is securing the demise and death on fake imports. All of that doesn’t matter, as long as it doesn’t happen where we are.

This is the despicable. This is the reality. Our time, our reality, what our representatives put forward and make sure to build big invisible walls and mechanisms to close borders. To make it less achievable and costly to cross. Even more dangerous, as the perils of death and destruction at home isn’t better. But to leave can also cost your life, either by crook or by the book. Secondly, there will be nobody to even care to look.

This should be disgusting. Knowing that people are dying fleeing civil-wars and dictatorship, than when they are entering our safe havens; there is no one caring for their ills and troubles. They will just shrug it off like dirt on their shoulders and move on. There is lack of solidarity and heart. I hope in my time, that the Republic’s and Nation’s that close their borders never start warfare with themselves. As the ones who saw what we did. Might also give us no helping hand. They might say, we saw what your parents did to us. Why should we save the kids to such despicable people? Why do you deserve safe haven, when you couldn’t help our kind in need?

That is what I worry about, because we never know when the tide change, when society start to deteriorate or self-destruct. That is within us and we never know. We could be next, right now it is our brothers from afar, next time it could our closest neighbor or even ourselves. Than, they will remember our cold hearts and lack of compassion in the times of need. Peace.

Opinion: Who needs enemies, when you have Trump?

There isn’t anything about this man that is about trust, except of his own ego and his own scary love for his daughter. The rest is just a relic of man, whose role in the world is supposed to be trusted and secure, but instead is a beacon of distrust and disloyalty, there isn’t any cause or any effort he will thwart because of his world-view. It isn’t anyone else he will make sure suffers, because it doesn’t fit his narrow little cable-TV mind of his. President Donald J. Trump, has yet again betrayed the world, this time with Iran and Middle East as a the pawns.

That President Trump is untrustworthy is with the change of guards, the twitching ways of bombing in Yemen, the drone attacks in Somalia, the possible pull-out in South Sudan and so on. The sudden suicidal mission in Niger, the blatant support of Saudi Arabia and other friends in the Middle East. While not having a coherent strategy in Iraq and in Syria. Therefore, that today, the United States is pulling out of the Nuclear Agreement with Iran.

Everyone should know that Trump cannot be trusted, the allies in NATO should be worried, as he has attacked them and said they haven’t done enough. Who knows if he pulls out of there too. Just like he has done with the TPP and the Paris Agreement. Nothing seems impossible, if he would ask the United Nations to change their headquarters too, would seem reasonable at this point. Because this man is of the chains. Nothing is stable, nothing is done with consensus or quorum, all in the midst of misty fog, which the farts he has made by eating to many cheese-burgers and drinking to much diet-coke.

Clearly, the world cannot anticipate a trustworthy partner in the United States, the NAFTA negotiations team, the Chinese Trade Deals and the North Koreans should know that Trump is unreasonable and a megalomaniac, who only praise his own ego, but not caring about the costs for the world around him. Like it is seemingly done on impulse without other reasons than, Obama did this, so I have to do the opposite. If Obama acted like a grown ass man, I have act like baby, if Obama talked with tact with his allies, Trump has to insult the Montenegro Prime Minister Duško Marković, because Trump has to be the big-shot and King Kong at the NATO Meeting.

So, the world doesn’t need enemies when it has Trump, he has already lied about missiles ships in Asia to spread fear around North Korea, promised that something might happen in Syria or other places. This man is pulling out of the world, but expect his guns and ammunition to hit conflicts with a steady phase. If he thinks this is wise and controlling, it will just be by rare luck if nothing going to pop-off, not like Ivanka Trump or Jared Kushner can even trade their bad estates of 666 fifth avenue in New York, and copy-cat fashion designs to make a deal like the Iran Nuclear Agreement. 3 years into the deal, he pulls out.

If I was North Korea, I would wonder if the United States can be trusted and if they should just directly talk with Seoul and not Washington. Since the mad-man in DC is off the hinges and could suddenly send drones to Pakistan, because his newly appointed such-and-such with a mustache said so. Since, nothing is impossible in this mess and the lack of reflection is a bad sign. That the microwaved and lack of possible outcome of a self-inflicted wounds are the result of pulling out of it.

I am sure Fox & Friends, Tomi Lahren and all the bad-boys of the Republican going to praise this, but the world is looking in awe and thinking, does this man has any hinges? Where does the buck stops? When will this man be better? He is only getting worse.

Who needs enemies? When you have Trump? You don’t need any, no one is so self-conflicted, split-personality and self-indicted, than the commander-in-chief. Also his neglect in lack of understanding and basic knowledge of the concerns is evident too. That is why these sort of acts appears, because he thinks he won the rose on The Bachelorette and gets another shot at the woman. Instead, its big giant policies that affects not only the region, but all powers. This is creating frantic problems, and worries about the outcome. While he is just acting like it was nothing.

Who knows the consequences now, but Iran will with time start up their Nuclear production, the arms race of the Middle East will happen with time. The United States will export more weapons and who knows how it will go. Who will shoot and who will spread fear, but in the equation, the United States cannot be trusted. The United States cannot be trusted at all, as long as Trump is at the helm.

He might end NATO tomorrow. Who knows? He got the capacity and he doesn’t care. Peace.

The CEOs should step-down from the Manufacturing Council: As result of the President non-bashing of “Unite the Right” terror in Charlottesville

Not long after getting into office, President Donald J. Trump appointed and created his own American Manufacturing Council or the Manufacturing Council at the White House, it was appointed on the 26th January 2017. After the weekend of the soft-spoken words against the Neo-Nazi’s, White-Supremacy and the rest of the Alt-Right extremists that was collectively created havoc in Charlottesville. The supporters against boycott and asking them to step down, is for the simple reason: that if they are part of the Council, than they are complicit and also neglecting their roles are people who has power.

The CEOs who has stepped down from the Council is now, Mark Fields from Ford Motor, Ken Frazier of Merck & Co, Klaus Kleinfeld of Aronic, Brian Krzanich of Inter Corporation, Marie Lenghi of U.S. Steel, Thea Lee of AFL-CIO, Scott Paul of Alliance for Manufacturing, and Kevin Plank of Under Amor. Also, because of the Presidents stance on Climate Change, the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk, stepped down from the Council. Therefore, within 48 hours 8 CEO’s have stepped down and in total 9.

Because on the 12th August as the “Unite the Right” who was saying they could finally walk-free and be open about their racism. Clearly, even former KKK big-man David Duke said there was there, because the victory of Trump. On the Daily Stormer, the Alt-Right and White Supremacist Daily Paper online, they even was proud of the statement and not answering journalists for his response to the media on the matter. He was correctly addressed for his misgivings as claiming it was on “all sides”.

Therefore, his answer to the people resigning is this: “For every CEO that drops out of the Manufacturing Council, I have many to take their place. Grandstanders should not have gone on. JOBS!” (Trump, 15.08.2017). Clearly, if people are still in the council, they should resign in compassion and care against the Alt-Right in the White House, the White Supremacy and the racism that is visible from the Executive. He doesn’t care, he could bash the CEOs before there had gone down to dawn, but needed 48 hours before he could address, who and what on a teleprompter to the American people.

The American people deserves a person who includes and appreciate all walks of live, not only the ones of his own. Seemingly, he bashes anyone who isn’t like him and making it hard to emigrate to the United States. This is because his appointed Attorney General Jeff Sessions works hard to make policies and regulations to fit the paradigm of Trump. That advisor Stephan Bannon, Gorka and Stephen Miller all Alt-Right craziness, compared with the ones who has been fired. Are clearly, showing the traits of this government and why the ones in the rally at Charlottesville. Feel they have a government fitting them.

Therefore, when this known, together with the slurs against Mexians, LGBT and all sort of others than White. Than you know the true compassion of Trump. The CEOs of the United States Companies who are there will support and be culpable people compromised by Trump. That is why the President even says there are always someone to take their place. They can easily be changed and get new puppets to the show. That is what the President says.

Therefore, the ones who are in the Council, know that you are used by the President, as useful props in his game. I got General Electric, Campbell Soups, Locheed Martin, Johnson /& Johnson, Dell Technologies, Timken Company, Caterpillar, Boeing, 3M and Newell Brands on my board. The others didn’t add anything to create jobs anyway. Soon he will get FoxxCon to join, since they soon has business in Wisconsin and Chinese doesn’t care about internal political squabble elsewhere, it is just business.

The ones who will take a step against the racists uprising, the ignorant President who couldn’t condemn it, but when did, it was soft and not really counting. It was like a forced farce of teleprompter eye-hurting, dwell-dodging baffoon trying to sound smart. When he really didn’t believe the words he did, since he is initially on their side. Everyone else, are just cleaning up his mess, because if he has an issue, he sparks fury on Twitter against you and calls you out. That he didn’t with the violence of Charlottesville. That is because he agrees and are one of them.

This is now proven, by the President. It isn’t beyond any doubt. The CEOs who are still part of the Manufacturing Council has a decision, will they be complicit or will they defend sound values? Will they be silent enforces of the ideals of the President. This will counter the ideals of open society and inclusive society that are open to anyone not on race, religion or gender. These are now on stand-by as their inclusive workforce and others can be in question as they can be appointed and on a board. Where they are connected to a leadership that fits “America First”.

President Trump has run an “America First” program, this was first coined this way, as been quoted from the Heritage Foundation: “Like any mass political movement, America First was an amalgamation of groups and fellow travelers who sometimes shared little more in common than an opposition to America’s entry into the war. The ranks of the antiwar movement included pacifists and communists (at least until Germany attacked the Soviet Union in 1941), wild-haired liberals, straight-laced conservatives and everything in between. The antiwar movement was far from homogenous. For instance, in January 1941 Lindbergh issued a press statement distancing himself from the No Foreign Wars Committee headed by the journalist Verne Marshall and pro-Nazi businessman William Rhodes Davis. Lindbergh had helped the group get started, but then cut ties over Marshall’s volatile leadership and vitriolic attacks, including swipes at Lindbergh and other leaders in the America First Committee” (James Jay Carafano, Ph.D. – ‘The Truth About the America First Movement’, 11.07.2016, link: http://www.heritage.org/defense/commentary/the-truth-about-the-america-first-movement).

Also in the Washington Post on the 20th January 2017 wrote this: “During the early 1930s, as the Nazis consolidated control over Germany, the U.S. media baron William Randolph Hearst began touting the slogan “America First” against President Franklin Roosevelt, whom he saw as dangerously likely to “allow the international bankers and the other big influences that have gambled with your prosperity to gamble with your politics.” Hearst regarded Roosevelt’s New Deal as “un-American to the core” and “more communistic than the communists” — unlike Nazism, which he believed had won a great victory for “liberty-loving people” everywhere in defeating Communism” (Eric Rauchway – ‘ President Trump’s ‘America First’ slogan was popularized by Nazi sympathizers’, 20-01.2017, Link: https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2017/01/20/president-trumps-america-first-slogan-was-popularized-by-nazi-sympathizers/?utm_term=.81f399389af0 ).

So it is not strange Nazi’s, Racists and White Supremacists likes and supports Donald Trump, he uses their lingo and proudly spends time spreading their message to the whole world. It is like his mantra, using their slogans and their messages. Therefore, if the CEO will stand behind it, a man who has never denounced David Duke or had to be forced condemning domestic-terrorism through White Supremacy. There, are not a better time to step down than now.

Or will you be remembered in time for your complicit acts of silence walking together with the disrespect of people in the United States? Peace.
