Sudan: Forces of Freedom and Change – Statement (29.01.2022)

In the past few days, we have seen statements attributed to leaders of the Sudanese Communist Party, which contained positions on the contacts made by the forces of freedom and change, and in communication with the masses of our people and appropriating the facts, we would like to clarify the following:

First: In the past two years, the Alliance of Freedom and Change Forces went through many challenges that affected its unity and cohesion, and the various parties to the alliance remained aware and aware of these difficulties, so they engaged in a deep dialogue prior to the coup that resulted in the reunification of the alliance through the political declaration that was signed on September 8, 2021. M ,

Which the military component worked to disrupt at the time and did not succeed, because all parties to the coalition signed the political declaration, except for limited forces, most notably the Sudanese Communist Party and the Justice and Equality Movement led by Dr. Jibril Ibrahim and the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Moni Arko Minawi.

Second: After the coup of October 25 and the courageous popular response to the coup, the forces of freedom and change put forward the slogan of establishing the broadest popular front to defeat the coup and immediately began contacting all the revolution forces, including resistance committees, professionals and political forces, including the Communist Party, with whom informal contacts were initially made, as a result, he requested an official address, which took place last December, when the Communist Party responded by refusing to meet with Freedom and Change at the time.

Third: This rejection of the invitation was followed by a media attack by the leadership of the Sudanese Communist Party on freedom and change in many platforms, and this battle waged by the Communist Party moved to many sectors among the forces of the revolution, which prompted us in the forces of freedom and change to study and evaluate this position, as we saw the danger of the revolutionary forces descending into battles among themselves, and accordingly, we decided to send a delegation to the General Center of the Communist Party to hold a direct meeting that includes a frank discussion about the unity of the revolutionary forces and their obstacles.

The alliance was represented by Professors Babiker Faisal and Yasser Arman, who visited the headquarters of the Communist Party on Tuesday, January 25, and met with the leadership of the party represented by Professors Seddik Yusef and Sir Babu,

They conducted an extensive discussion in which the Communist Party renewed its position of refusing to meet the forces of freedom and change together, with their proposal at the time to meet the components of freedom and change individually. This is something that the forces of freedom and change denounce and do not realize what the interest of any party of the revolution forces is in the disintegration of the alliance and the division between its components!!

Fourth: We, in the Alliance of Freedom and Change Forces, deeply regret the position of the Communist Party against the unity of the forces of the revolution, and we affirm that this position is directly in the interest of the coup authority, which harnesses all its organs to break up the civil and democratic forces.

It is inappropriate to provide free services to it by increasing the gap between the components of the revolution for any reason. This position cannot be justified by any discrepancies that occurred in the past. The constitutional document signed on August 17 was a collective action undertaken by the components of freedom and change with the participation of the Communist Party at the time.

Hence, the coalition continued its joint work until November 2020, and throughout that period, the objective evaluation of the discrepancies that occurred could not be tempted to hold one party without another responsible for any shortcomings.

Finally: We in the Forces of Freedom and Change affirm that the defeat of the coup is dependent on the unity of the revolutionary forces. Without that, the task of the revolutionaries will be facilitated by singling out the components of the revolution and crushing it one by one.

The revolutionary situation and the establishment of a civil authority with legitimacy and broad revolutionary popular representation on its ruins. Therefore, we will not close the door of our continuous endeavours to unite the forces of the revolution and establish a unified center that expresses the forces of the civil and democratic street.

The glorious December generation sacrifices require all of us to rise to their destiny, and our alliance will remain loyal to that and open to offering everything it can to unite the forces of the revolution and defeat the October 25 coup that will inevitably be ordered by our people.

Sudan: Sudan Central Doctors Committee – Urgent (24.01.2022)

The Khartoum processions heading to the palace and the Omdurman processions on Al-Arbaeen Street face excessive violence, as the coup forces use live bullets and tear gas extensively, in addition to sound bombs, and besiege the processions in large numbers from several directions.

We appeal to human rights organizations to monitor this repressive behavior, which should not be confronted with peaceful processions, and to report on it so that the world knows what is being plotted against the people of Sudan to kill their dreams and hopes for a decent life.

A number of injuries from gunfire and tear gas canisters, including critical cases, which we are working on counting and publishing later in a detailed report.

Sudan: The Unified Office of Physicians – Statement on the events in North Darfur (21.01.2022)

In continuation of the state of chaos sweeping the Darfur region these days, an unfortunate accident occurred two days ago, west of El Fasher, North Darfur, which resulted in six deaths and a number of firearm injuries.

The disruption of the security contract in the states of Darfur has become a matter, it is worrying for all Sudanese as long as the well-being of the homeland is part of the well-being of every part of it, and this disengagement is undoubtedly fabricated by the coup forces – in their various forms – which are by their nature unqualified and unable to provide security on the outskirts of the city and lack the necessary legal and patriotic will, and the security liquidity that occurs is only happen about these forces are intended for the purposes they serve.

More than two hundred deaths as a result of live bullets in the Darfur region have been confirmed in the reports of the Central Committee of Doctors of Sudan since the beginning of last October, and there are more that have not been monitored for one reason or another.

The free killing I’ve been working on in the stricken province since 2003 it is still continuing, on the grounds that the one who creates problems, the one who provides the arms, and the one who seduces is still present at the head of the state and passes his agenda without accountability or oversight.

The armed struggle movements that signed on to peace and hoped to play a pivotal role in stopping these absurd wars are also the ones whose leaders put their hands in the hands of the killers, and they became killers like them, issue free death targeting the displaced, farmers and shepherds. The governor of the region also records a complete absence from contributing to stopping the cycle of systematic violence there, and he is entrusted with playing a positive role at this juncture, but the matter has been entrusted to non-people.

We affirm that there is no way out of this spiral except by working hard towards defeating the coup and building a civil state so that the people’s weapon is not used to kill the sons of the country. People of the same region.

We also call on honorable lawyers and jurists to carry out a fair and transparent investigation that brings victims their rights and serves as a sermon to every criminal who thinks that he is above the law.

Sudan: Forces of Freedom and Change – About the events in the Salomeh area (22.01.2022)

Turn the page militias of treachery and betrayal.

The failure of the coup authority, the forces of apostasy, the remnants and the negligent ones to provide security for civilians.

The sons and daughters of our people make the era of heroism.

We in the Forces of Freedom and Change have been following and carefully monitoring the events and security breaches that follow on the outskirts of the cities and countryside in beloved Darfur, which are still claiming the lives of peaceful, defenseless citizens who have been affected by the unarmed hands of militias, we have repeatedly demanded that the page of these militias be turned down by resolving them because they are a page of treachery and betrayal.

The forces of freedom and change have mercy on the souls of the martyrs of our steadfast, patient and combative people, the last of which was on the night of January 19, when armed militias attacked the citizens of Salome village near Zamzam area, south of El Fasher, which includes Zamzam camp for the displaced, as the attack left 5 martyrs, many wounded, and theft of citizens’ livestock.

The Forces of Freedom and Change condemn these unfortunate attacks that are still recurring in light of the disillusionment of the coup authority, the forces of apostasy, the remnants and the negligent, and their repeated failure to provide security and protect civilians.

As we affirm in the forces of freedom and change with the movement of the daughters and sons of our people who are making these days a new era, the era of heroism, because the lives of these young people are a clear and straight line, there is no difference between its interior and its appearance, and there is no contradiction between its day and its yesterday.

Glory and eternity to the honorable martyrs of all of us, and speedy recovery to the wounded and injured.

Freedom for detainees from the peaceful movement forces.

Sudan: Central Committee of Sudan Doctors (CCSD) – A call for solidarity (20.01.2022)

To all medical organizations, human rights organizations, unions, citizens of the free world:

Since last October, the Sudanese people have been peacefully demonstrating in the streets with extraordinary courage against yet another totalitarian military regime that seeks to replace their predecessor Albashir (a wanted criminal who ruled Sudan for 30 years) and take over the country.

The Sudanese people have been resisting by all available peaceful means, losing many innocent lives while pursuing democracy, freedom, peace, and justice. We are fighting against violent and ruthless forces, that did not hesitate in using military-grade weaponry against armless protestors in an attempt to suppress their dreams and hopes.

From the 25th of October till now, we lost 72 souls, and had more than 2000 wounded, while participating in pro-democracy protests across Sudan. The majority were killed from sustained direct gunshot wounds to their heads, necks, or chests. The militias of the military coup have committed egregious human rights violations, including rape, hindering emergency medical services to those in need, attacking hospitals with tear gas and stun grenades, attacking medical workers while performing their duties, and arresting the wounded and injured from their hospital beds. They tried to isolate the Sudanese people from the world by limiting press access and interrupting internet services repeatedly since the coup.

We call on all humans worldwide to stand in solidarity with the Sudanese people, their hopes and dreams in this fight. We ask you to stand in solidarity with our peaceful fight for Freedom, Peace, and Justice. We ask that you reach out to your governments and representatives, pressure them to use their influence and political power against this coup. We call for regional, global, political and economic sanctions against those responsible for the coup, and not to give the coup regime any sort of legitimacy or international recognition.

Our people will continue their peaceful uphill battle towards democracy, a path that started in 2018, unwavering from its peaceful means despite the coup gang attempts of dragging us to violence through shock and awe, and constant provocation.

The Sudanese people have learned from their past experiences, and the lessons of the neighboring countries. Today, it’s a fight for existence and dignity. The continuation of the coup gang threatens the peace and security of the Sudanese people and the entire region. Our people will remain strong and united, for our victory is inevitable.

Sudan: Forces of Freedom and Change – Statement (19.01.2022)

Our people wrote another epic of their valiant steadfastness in the face of the October 25 coup, through civil disobedience to which large sectors of our people quickly collapsed in response to the January 17 massacre, and an affirmation that our people have a lot of experience of peaceful resistance action, dnd that we will not retreat without achieving his goals of freedom, peace and justice.

Civil disobedience enjoyed wide participation from all sectors of our people, as the resistance committees confronted their role as a vanguard in confronting tyranny by calling for disobedience and Tatars, and 60 and more professional entities announced their involvement in the strike amidst the wide participation of the health and education sectors, bankers, pharmacists, the justice sector, and accountants, in addition to the engineering sector, the medical sector witnessed the withdrawal of medical cadres from hospitals affiliated with the regular forces, and an appreciable interaction in the public and private sectors and the invitation launched by the Employers Union, this disobedience and strike is the first rain that appeared as a drop that will be followed by other drops, and in this context, the Forces of Freedom and Change renewed the call for the resistance committees and professional entities to sit in the coming days to tighten coordination among them and prepare for the decisive battle in which our people regain their freedom and dignity.

We in the forces of freedom and change affirm that we will continue, with our people, the path of peaceful mass resistance, and we call on all the sons and daughters of our people in the capital and the states to commemorate the martyrs through “Martyr’s Friday” the day after tomorrow, January 21, to be a day to commemorate their memory through processions going from mosques after Friday prayers.

And that the processions near the homes of the martyrs head to their homes, in commemoration of the martyrs and a demonstration of the solidarity of our people with their families and its adherence to continuing the path of what they were martyred for and its demand for comprehensive justice and equity for them and their families.

We also support the call of the Khartoum East committees for a million martyrs tomorrow, Thursday, and we tell them that you will not walk alone, for the battle of freedom is all our business and we will not lag behind any of its fronts.
