Sudan: Hemeti isn’t a man of peace…

The two main leaders of the Transitional Sovereign Council is currently the Vice-President Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo aka Hemeti and President Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. These are seasoned military commanders and warlords, which served tirelessly under the final years of the dictator Omar Al-Bashir. Therefore, these two are conning and scheming ahead.

These two has already altered the political sphere and tried to hijack the December revolution of 2018. Which was the end of the Al-Bashir era. The 2019 Transitional Constitutional Charter was practically dissolved when the same two warlords altered the power-structure, which they agreed upon when they took out their previous leader and head of state. That was done with the 25th October 2021.

Now, we are yet again that Hemeti acts like a righteous and a holy man, which couldn’t further from the truth. The former commander of the Rapid Support Force or the Janjaweed has blood on his hands. His militia has created bloodshed and been an instrument of tyranny over the years. Now that he has a seat in Khartoum that doesn’t change the spots of the leopard.

This is why Hemeti will try to configure himself differently now. He wants to seem as a changed man and a religious man. I cannot look into his heart or his mind. However, the orders from him as an army commander and running the militia proves otherwise. Hemeti isn’t coming peace or reconciliation. That isn’t something we can really believe in 2022.

We know the army has killed civilians as long as we can remember. The army has strangled the civilian organizations and opposition parties. They are either arresting the leaders of the CSOs, political parties or the resistance committees. If not they are killing them and going after them at the hospitals too. There is nothing that stops them from silencing the voices of reasons in the streets or organizing civil disobedience.

While the authorities and the army does this. They are silencing some, there is coming new and it’s an endless game, which it cannot win. The Resistance Committees and other organizations are working tirelessly to end the junta government, which Hemeti and Al-Burhan represents.

So, when I see the likes of Hemeti tries to holier than the rest of us. I know it is political theatre. His scheming something and wants to configure himself into a new equation. It is like Hemeti knows the Transitional Sovereign Council of the Second Coup cannot survive with these sorts of increasing protests. Neither is it making any favours with the violence and cycle of oppression against the unarmed civilians. Therefore, he his trying to remake his image and character in public.

Hemeti cannot clean the blood from his hands. He has never been held account for his actions or his orders of the years. The bloodshed and massacres in Darfur. The RSF usage to stifle and block the revolutions of recent years. Not that Al-Burhan is any better, but his just the same.

The politicking of Hemeti isn’t looking and his just cleansing himself. Just like he did when he prayed in front of ceremony earlier this year. He wants to look smug and be righteous. However, that man can never become that. Him and the army commanders should ensure a proper transition to a civilian government…

But we know Hemeti… doesn’t want to give up power. Not that Al-Burhan has any plans of leaving either. Nevertheless… the public should know about how his staging himself and trying to be self-righteous… which couldn’t be further from the case. Peace.

Sudan: Forces of Freedom and Change – Political Statement (02.07.2022)

The Executive Office of the Forces of Freedom and Change held an emergency meeting to follow up and evaluate the developments after the June 30 Millions and work with our people to develop the peaceful mass workshops that resist the October 25 coup.

The meeting had mercy on the martyrs of the thirtieth of June who fell as a result of the heinous violence of the coup authorities, which did not exclude even children, and which even included the armed forces in the system of suppressing the peaceful movement, according to the police statement.

After extensive deliberation of the Executive Office of the Alliance, we address the following evaluation and messages to our steadfast and persevering people.

Millions of June 30.. What have our people achieved?

The people of Sudan came out in the cities and countryside of the country throughout its geographical extension, to announce to Daouia that the coup is fleeting and rejected, and that the will of the people remains, and it is the complete civil authority that expresses the revolution and its issues.

Our people triumphed while coming out in the millions, united around specific issues and demands. And he won by sticking to his peace in the face of the brutality and brutality of the coup authority.

The June 30 Millions constitute a qualitative shift in the balance of power in favor of the forces of the revolution, and are considered a painful defeat for the coup authority, which has not been able to break out of its isolation since the dawn of its fateful coup. Millions of June 30.. What is missing from our people to reach the goals of its revolution?

The brilliant victory of our people on the 30th of June should not obscure the shortcomings of our continuous revolutionary movement since the dawn of the October 25 coup. The coup was born weak from its first hour, he would not have been able to continue had it not been for the delay of the revolutionary forces that resisted him in forming a unified civil, democratic front that would constitute a center for coordination and political and field leadership.

The coup authority employed its security apparatus and resources to divide the revolutionary forces that confronted them, its mission became possible thanks to the perceptions adopted by some of the forces of the revolution, which contributed to disrupting its unity and cohesion.

Building a united civil front on the basis of coordination among all the forces of the revolution, is the duty of the hour that we must accomplish now without delay, and it is the necessary condition for the defeat of the coup and the establishment of full civil authority on its ruins.

What after the June 30 million?

The question posed now strongly is what will follow this victorious revolutionary mass movement on June 30, and how can the forces of the revolution continue their path to reach their full and undiminished goals, which we will work for in the forces of freedom and change with the rest of the revolution forces through the following urgent steps:

1- We in the Forces of Freedom and Change will address the resistance committees and the political and professional anti-coup forces, reiterating our vision of building a united civil front, and we will immediately call for the formation of a unified field and media coordination center he undertakes the task of preparing to continue escalating public action and preparing for comprehensive civil disobedience after the blessed Eid al-Adha.

2- Continuing the peaceful revolutionary escalation by all the new and tested peaceful means, in coordination with all the forces of the revolution, supporting all forms of resistance, including sit-ins, processions, and other peaceful means.

3- Sending letters to the main actors in the international and regional community about the developments of the current situation, explaining the demands of the Sudanese people, and mobilizing international and regional support for the peaceful struggle of the people of Sudan to extract their rights.

4- Escalate campaigns demanding the release of detainees, who numbered in hundreds throughout Sudan, and we will work with all human rights, civil and feminist groups to pressure for the freedom of those who are now languishing in the prisons of the coup authority.

In conclusion, we affirm that the revolution of our people is inevitably victorious, and that the coup is defeated and isolated. This will be achieved through our unity, cohesion, tight coordination between all the forces of the revolution and the isolation of the schemes of the counter-revolutionary forces.

Our People resisting & rejecting the Coup:

The June 30 march is a turning point in our efforts to overthrow the coup and its authority, and there are no words to adequately describe the bravery exhibited by our people’s revolutionaries since yesterday. Sudan: Sudanese Congress Party – Statement on the great revolutionary epic today in the million June 30, 2022 AD (01.07.2022)

Our people are bridges;

Yesterday, the generous land of Sudan, over its vast expanse, was covered with rebellious human torrents of the Kandaka resistance and the heroic resistance, who came out in the capital and many cities, in addition to hundreds of villages, halal, and al-Furqans in the June 30 million mark, determined to achieve noble goals, the culmination of which is restoring the path of civil democratic transformation under the leadership of a purely civil authority, restoring the professional roles of the people’s armed forces and distancing them from matters of governance and politics, uniting the suppression machine of the brutal coup authority with the weapon of their peace, they were not deterred by the bullets or the systematic crimes that led to the rise of nine honorable martyrs until the moment of writing this statement.

The injuries of some of them are serious, and we pray for their speedy recovery, just as the power’s malicious tricks did not succeed in stopping the tide of their sweeping processions, as their strong will and creative genius removed the containers that the putschists had used as locks for bridges connecting the cities of the capital, in epics and bridges that will remain immortal in the annals of Sudanese history, a great day witnessed the highest meanings of unity among all components of the forces of the revolution.

Our victorious people;

We in the Sudanese Congress Party appreciate the struggles and sacrifices of all revolutionaries and revolutionaries in all parts of our proud country, and we see that today’s millionaires have achieved many real gains, foremost of which is the restoration of the critical mass mass and the unification of its ranks, just as the weight of the mass civil movement of resistance against the coup camp and its tails has become a reality, we also call on all our members and all the honorable people in the capital to participate in the sit-in announced by the field work committees in the Foundation area in Khartoum North and our full confidence in the complete victory of our rebellious people with a steel will that is unbreakable, as it is a mine of revolutionary experiences and tactics of nonviolent resistance to totalitarian regimes.

Tricks, procrastination or slipping into the hotbeds of crimes whose perpetrators will inevitably be brought to justice will not help them.

Long live our people free and victorious

Sudan: Forces of Freedom and Change – Statement on the Millions of the 30th of June (30.06.2022)

The people win and the coup is defeated

Our people are now writing a new epic of national liberation and revolution against oppression and tyranny. Millions across Sudan came out in opposition to the October 25 coup and to extract the people’s full civil authority that implements the demands and goals of the revolution.

As expected, the coup authority met the peaceful processions of our people in all parts of Sudan with bullets and the utmost forms of violence. Five martyrs in Omdurman and Khartoum have risen until the time of writing this statement, and dozens of wounded, amid the unyielding determination of the revolutionaries and revolutionaries who did not back down in the face of the brutality of the revolutionaries. We hold the coup authorities responsible for the victims who fell and affirm that these crimes, which constitute crimes against humanity, will not go unpunished. Justice is one of the goals of the glorious December revolution, which it will not abandon.

The June 30 Millions achieved a qualitative change in the balance of power in favor of the mass movement and its goals in seizing complete civil authority and defeating the coup, and proved that the revolution is alive and does not die, and that it witnesses a new birth every day.

The exodus of millions today in the countryside and cities of Sudan has dealt a painful blow to the manipulators by provoking ethnic and regional divisions.

We send a message to the armed forces and all the regular forces that this people is not only looking for freedom and civility, but rather puts the issue of the national professional army at the top of its list of priorities, which is in the interest of the security and stability of the country, what confirms that the interests of most Sudanese men and women coincide, whether they are civilians or military, and that the putschists and remnants of the former regime are seeking to wreak havoc between the people and their regular forces for nothing but the desire to dominate power and plunder the wealth of this country, and this coup has no legitimacy.

The forces of freedom and change reiterate their message to the international and regional community, that the stability of Sudan is linked to the civil state and its democracy, and that the people of Sudan are subjected to great oppression at the hands of the coup authority, which calls for intensifying international efforts to condemn these crimes. And asking the revolutionaries to respond to the demands of the Sudanese people in handing over power to the people to choose what they want without domination or tyranny.

In conclusion, we affirm that the march of our people will not stop at the station of the thirtieth of June, and that its peaceful mass struggle will continue until the complete defeat of this coup to achieve the goals of our people in freedom, peace and justice. We in the Forces of Freedom and Change support the intensification of roadblocks in all parts of Sudan to restrain the hand of the security services in the brutality, and we are in continuous consultation with all the forces of the revolution to use all means of peaceful struggle from sit-in, disobedience and political strike until the defeat of the coup, we affirm that our people are inevitably victorious and that tyranny is fleeting and defeated.

Sudan-Ethiopia Tensions: Abiy’s unbelievable message…

The two peoples of Sudan and Ethiopia are brothers. Undoubtedly, there are many problems between Sudan and Ethiopia. We must intensify and cooperate in confronting and solving these dilemmas. There are many who want us to slip into each other’s fight. But these parties – whether they are governments or others – will not reap any benefit from fuelling strife between our two peoples, for us, our choice is peace between our two peoples, and our two brotherly countries. Our choice is for mutual trust to prevail between us. There should not be confrontations between us, because of external pressures” (…) “We have to control our selves; And to be restrained. This is for the sake of our common interests and the principles of good neighborliness. There should be no enmities between us, We have all respect for the brotherly Sudanese people. We believe that Sudan and Ethiopia are capable of solving all the problems and difficulties they face in the spirit of lasting brotherhood and good neighborliness” – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali message to Sudan (29.06.2022).

This trick could have worked after he signed the secret agreement and pact with Eritrean President Isaias Afewerki. Now in 2022 the wiggle room or believing in the words of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali has worn thin. These sorts of quotes and statements seems like a smokescreen and not the real deal. Not anymore because of the “red terror” and acts of the past year.

That PM Abiy acts of talks and dialogue between neighbours could have seen as sincere. However, after the skirmishes last year. At that time he didn’t really commit and give it any real time. He just gave the Sudanese PM a few hours before he went on to another project. The PM didn’t seem interested to talk or negotiate. It seemed like it bothered and he was disinterested in the Sudanese dignitary and hold proper talks with him.

That’s why we know he don’t want any interference from IGAD or the AU. We know Abiy want a solo-mission and only goodwill. Even if his army started it and they did execute 7 Sudanese soldiers after kidnapping them. This is why the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) retaliated and went on to attack certain parts of the El-Fashaqa region. Where the to nations has staked their claim over the territories. As the Amhara settles was evicted and banished from a settlement as well.

So, when Abiy speaks of brotherhood it seems insincere now. The same is the talks of dialogue. I should wish it was true. The PM has however been very reluctant and not engaged in these things. It doesn’t help that he says “external pressures” and that they are are “capable of solving all problems”. When his army and his allies is confronting, use violence and targeting land on Sudanese territory.

Yes, it would have been nice to see Demeke Mekonnen, Abiy Ahmed Ali, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo aka Hemeti and Abdel Fattah al-Burhan in a neutral space and with a trustworthy third party negotiators. Nevertheless, we know that is not on the cards and neither anyone who is inviting it. That’s why we shouldn’t expect an Ethiopian or a Sudanese delegation to a conference or meeting to hash out their differences.

That the AU calls for “restraint” is a natural response, as the tensions has escalated. This is all natural how the things has transpired. Abiy isn’t an honest actor and I cannot believe his words now. The Office of the Prime Minister and himself needs to do more.

This time around he needs to talk for hours and possibly days. Since, the latest executions and escalations is just furthering the actions of skirmishes of last year. Therefore, this time it’s a time for a sit-down and address the border point. Also, stop the movement of troops across it. That’s how the battles and deaths are appearing. Both parties needs to talk. This has been an escalation after the Tripartite alliance went into the Tigray Region in November 2020. Where they have gone into Sudan too.

That’s why the PM Abiy has to do more than dropping a flattering statement with words he doesn’t believing in. This isn’t enough. Peace.
