This here should be a joke, it should be satire, and it shouldn’t be real news. However, in the world we living in, it is the reality. That the Members of Parliament (MPs) of the Republic of Zimbabwe. A republic in dire financial distress and inflation, where the economy is on the rocks, the worst in a decade. Still, the MPs in this hour of need. If they want the Parliament to pass the 2019 Budget, the MPs needs Land Cruisers 4×4 Wheel Drive to drive on the shoddy roads of the Republic.
That is the state of affairs as we are going into Christmas, as the Bond-Notes and US Dollars are lacking, fuel crisis and problems of having enough cash to import foreign goods to the shops. It is at this very moment, the MPs decides to get themselves a Luxurious Car in the bargain with the state.
If this isn’t insulting, nothing is, as the MPs are in total disregard of the plight of the common citizen. They are not minding the hardships and lack of prospects. As they adding another tab to be eaten. They are even wanting better deserts after their lunch in the parliament, as their per diem is to low. They want Ipads and other gadgets too, not just the car. They are really going all in. They want to wheel in all the money over the budget. To secure the wealth and the luxury that is possible, while they are in power and has the seat.
With all of this in mind, as we are soon clocking in for the Christmas Eve, they are not the Santa Claus for the people, but the Grinch stealing all of Christmas. They are taking everything at their disposal and the ZANU-PF are showing their disrespect to the public. By assuming this is okay and good work.
The MPs should be ashamed of their greed, of their acts and the their will. They are willing to eat even more of the publics plate, without even caring about serving them. The MPs want to live lavish, want to be knights and kings, they want to be royals, they want to be all the above. Without doing the work or anything. Just writing it off as expenses on the tab of the state. Which is so far from noble as it can possibly be. Especially in a time of inflation and austerity, in a time of need and hurt.
This year shouldn’t be the time for this measure. This year the ZANU-PF have shown their true character of disregard and ignorance about their people. It is proven, by acts and words. This sort of play, shouldn’t even be considered, but it is. Peace.

The Republic of Sudan is in flames, as the public is tired of the Omer Al-Bashir regime and his reign. As the lack of economic progress or stagnation as it is. The bread-prices are rising and the Sudanese Pound is weakening towards the US Dollar. Therefore, the public has had enough this week, as demonstrations and protest has erupted through the Republic.
We know the government is alerted, as they have killed just during the last 24 hours at least eight demonstrators in Khartoum alone. Who knows the real numbers or fatal occurrences, as the state has blocked social media and internet through ZAIN Sudan and other companies.
We know the situation is dire, when not only the bread prices are sky-rocketing, but the fuel prices too. While the government has not given higher salaries or secured the public for the added costs of living. The soldiers are also lacking basic salaries, therefore, the whole system from the top is defunct.
We know the state is serious, when the state has blocked WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter, in a game of trying to black-out information from the Republic to the world. As the world has to anticipate the next moves.
While the death has occurred, thanks to the Authorities cracking down on the ground. The Spokesperson and Minister of Information Bushara Aror claims the Police Force have been civil in their duties. Surely, the public outcry says something else.
The demonstrations, protests or riots are not only in Khartoum, but all over the republic. Its been in Nuhood, Post Sudan, Atbara, Damar and Hasaheesa. That was on the 19th December, but yesterday, it spread to Dongola, Kareema, Beber, Gadarif and beyond. Therefore, this a national protest against the state, not just the ones suffering in the capital, but in general.
This has to known, that the Sudanese are demonstrating against the decades after decades of reign for Al-Bashir, his cronyism and corruption, that his lack of respect for justice and rule of law. Is not under stated. That the man who has ruled with an iron fist. Is know seeing that the people are revolting against him. They have had enough. Peace.

Today, Attorney General William Byaruhanga delivered his Interim Report on the indictment and the criminal charges of Patrick Ho in connection with Minister of Foreign Affairs Sam Kuteesa and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. This has been known now and if these was just mere charges, than the Chinese National wouldn’t get charged and sentenced in a United States Court.
This is because the Chinese National offered a bribe of 500,000 USD each for a possible Oil Deal for a Chinese Company in Uganda. Therefore, the Chinese National made it possible for the high-ranking officials in the Ugandan government to solicit half-a-million United States Dollars for it. That is why we are here today. This was signed off as a Campaign contribution, but by that time, the President had already been re-elected in 2016. We know this, but has to say all this before I quote the Interim Report. What is special about the case too, is that the government will claim the Foundation owned by Kuteesa, but has anyone seen it outside of a paper and a registered entity outside of Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), which it was in 2015. That is why today is special, because a ghost entity got good money for a possible business transaction… that would favorable for the repentance, which happens to the Minister and President.
What is also important to state, which is already white-washed in the interim report, is the delivery of the bribe. That went through customs, which was mailed between the Chinese National and the Minister. Who both combined their efforts to send the money and deliver it in cash, in secrecy, as it was intended to a favorable transaction. Not something that was supposed to end up in Court Documents in the United States and incriminate one, while implicating the high-ranking officials in Uganda.
With that in mind.
The quote:
“The Foundation received a sum of US$ 499,993 on 9’h May 2016 from a Hong Kong-based NGO known as China Energy Fund Committee. The money was a donation to the Food Security and Energy Sustainability Foundation which Hon. Kutes a and his wife started as a vehicle for enabling Hon. Kutesa to continue to champion some of the causes he had spearheaded during his tenure as the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations with respect to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals”.
While that quote is special and says a lot, it does trying to clear the implicated Minister in the Corruption Scandal that has rocked the man. That the Auditor General did this on direct order from the President. This was to ensure the President and his ally Kuteesa got off the hook. That is why the Foundation and the “donation” we’re the Chinese National had reasons to give there. Like we are naive.
The Foundation is just based on paper. There are no proof of their work or whatever their supposed to do. Certainly, they are servicing some special and unique unicorns, sorry, ghosts. Because, this money came by plane from the United States to Entebbe International Airport, as it entered the Customs as warned to the parties involved.
So, I have a hard time believing the AG in this matter, as he is trying to figure out a way to clear he Minister of his implication, per order as a loyal subject of the President. Who also got money in the transaction done by the Chinese National. They all know this.
Time for the AG get his act together, unless he is a blind soldier for the President. Peace.
