Opinion: Gen. Chiwenga there are other solutions to problems than firing people!

There are days, when Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga was a military man and the powerful man, the former Commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Force. Since the Coup d’etat or the Operation Restore Legacy, where the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) decided to drop Mugabe for Mnangagwa. That we all know by now.

The PFee has changed, Gen. Chiwenga is supposed to be Second in Command after the President. The man who is the friendly side-kick and the man who helped using the army to get the Lacoste fraction to power. However, the seems to be misconceptions in the power of the VP. If this government are supposed to be better than the Mugabe administration. Than, The VP better change-up.

The Zanu-PF and Chiwenga can act in many different ways, it is foolish to fire nurses, doctors, junior doctors and teachers. Chiwenga even gotten media persons like CapiTalk Station Manager Napoleon Nyanhi and Star Presenter Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa in August 2018. I’m sure, he has tried to get various of media persons and social media influencers off-line, as there been questions about his health and his whitening dilemma.

However, as the VP, this micro-managing of firing people because of strikes, demonstrations or even articles, radio-shows and whatnot. Is showing weakness, not strength. The PFee loyalists might like it and get some good smirks out of it. Nevertheless, on the other side of the barrel, it might not be so rosy.

The VP should think of his kids and grand-children, as they could get into serious problems. As the lack of good-governance and care for protocol. There is lack of care for the civil servants and the ones serving the state in various position all across the Republic. They are there trying to their job. What they are fighting for is just salaries, fair working conditions and all the other matters, which the VP should support.

Gen. Chiwenga, talk and reason with the ones demonstrating for a better future and a more serving state. This shouldn’t be shocking, the VP should see this and he needs to see this. They wouldn’t do it this way, if they didn’t see it fit to do industrial action. The VP has to grow up and understand that. Find measures and search for positive ways to find solutions, this is the way to build a better republic.

To fire educated personnel over strikes and demonstrations, will create a brain-drain and the ones, who has gotten educated and working in crappie conditions could easily get jobs abroad. They are easily becoming the diaspora and not serving the PFee.

An old man Chiwenga shouldn’t need this schooling by anyone, but when he acts like a fool. He needs to hear it. Not from me, but from others with common sense. It is time for the VP to govern and not to rule. There is vast different between doing one or the other. Peace.

UN Experts Report accuse Warlord Kokodikoko M.O of rape against Woman!

There are something sinister going on in South Kivu Province in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This time the UN Experts Report of 31st December 2018. The interviews and the witnesses clearly states what is happening within the Raia Mutomboki of the Kokodikoko faction. These events are really horrific and really showing the tragedies that is happening because of warlords. Warlords who uses child soldiers and who takes woman captive, because they got guns.

That is what is happening. The hurt and damage it does, the cult-like aspiration of Kokodikoko, as he has dances and insults, as they prepare to violate the woman. They are clearly celebrating the crimes together in the militia. That shows the illness of the group and their actions.

Just read the horrific story:

Based on interviews in June, September and October 2018 with 17 victims, 1 witness, civil society members, local authorities, local researchers, 1 ex-Raia Mutomboki element and staff from non-governmental organizations and MONUSCO, the Group found that the Kokodikoko faction of Raia Mutomboki, led by Masudi Alimasi Kokodikoko, committed mass gang rapes, serious sexual crimes amounting to torture and sexual slavery against at least 17 women around Lubila in Shabunda territory in September 2018. The Group also found that Kokodikoko and his group used child soldiers. All of those acts constitute serious violations of human rights and international humanitarian law, and are sanctionable acts under subparagraphs (d) and (e) of paragraph 7 of Security Council resolution 2293 (2016)” (…) “A total of at least 17 women, between the ages of 15 and 70, including 2 women not abducted in Lubila, were held captive in the cave. During four days the Raia Mutomboki elements repeatedly gang-raped the women. They also introduced various tools into the vaginas of several of the women, severely injuring some. Women who resisted being assaulted were additionally mistreated” (…) “Raia Mutomboki elements shouting “Tchai! Tchai!”14 (Tea! Tea!) usually announced the beginning of the rapes. Before the rapes, Raia Mutomboki elements also danced and sang. Some of the songs, described as full of insults, spoke about penises, vaginas and penetration. The songs expressly mentioned the name of “Chief Kokodikoko” and praised him. During this last ritual, Kokodikoko was either in the middle of his elements or on the side watching them” (UNSC, 2018).

This report of the UN Experts are really saying a lot. It is showing the sinister acts of the Raia Mutomboki led by Kokodikoko, who has no trouble doing this to woman. Raping them and making ceremonies of it. Where he takes them, detain them in caves and gang-rape them. This after interviews of people witnesses to this acts.

These acts should not be pushed to the side. They need to be told, as the victims of these crimes deserves justice. They deserves to punished by the law and meet the courts of law. These cases should be put away. That this acts are happening is worrying, that the militia can do this and we can wonder if the FARDC or the MONUSCO can deal with group in South Kivu.

Something should around the way of warlord Kokodikoko, we have wait and see. But this isn’t what we want to hear, but what we need to hear. Because, the realities are bleak, they are dark and not beautiful. We could wish for it to be differnt, but that is not the reality. We still need to challenge men like this, who uses their position and their weapons to this savage way of sinister acts against innocent woman. Peace.

UN Experts Report expose illegal Gold Export to Uganda!

Again and again, the UN Experts are getting validated sources of mineral exports, which are ending up in the hands of the Gold Refinery in Entebbe, Uganda and ending in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. These stories continues, as the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and President Museveni are taking advantage of the lack of authorities and control of the borders. That is why the Ugandan can get the illicit gold and earn fortunes of the trade.

They are forging documents and doing so by tricking customs and ways. To ensure, the gold goes from Bukavu to Entebbe into the hands of the AGR. The company, which happens to run by Gen. Salim Selah, the brother of the President. The State House of Uganda is earning fortunes on the illicit trade of gold and forging the gold sources even.

Take a look:

In addition, the Group found that Ugandan authorities lacked a coherent policy to combat smuggling. The Group also found that Kampala-based gold exporters did not have an efficient system to avoid the contamination of their supply chains with illegally traded gold from the Democratic Republic of the Congo” (…) “In fact, documents concerning a supplier for AGR obtained by the Group show the risk of contamination of the supply chain with gold illegally sourced or traded from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The supplier, a Congolese national based in Bukavu who provided AGR, in October 2018, with gold worth more than $3 million, travelled with an official document, delivered five months earlier, identifying his occupation as that of an electrician. The supplier declared to AGR that the gold was sourced from the United Republic of Tanzania. Initial investigations conducted by the Group suggested that the individual was used as a broker by many Bukavu-based gold smugglers” (UNSC, 2018).

We have seen these stories before, its still vital and important to show, yet more evidence of the illegal export and illicit trading of the Congolese gold through Ugandan exporters, which happens to be in connection with the President and his brother Gen. Selah. This is common knowledge, but has to be addressed. As the ownership of the AGR is known and also, how that implicates the State House.

This is just a few statements of what they do, but still enough to prove how they do it. As this is very fresh reports and just out from the UNSC and their experts. Peace.

Let me take a sledgehammer to the Japanese dream of President Kenyatta!

Yesterdays Round-Table Interview with President Uhuru Kenyatta, really shows some PR Stunt out of this world. He thinks he can spin it beautifully on live-broadcast. Where the President can attribute the difference between a thriving economy and his own. Even if the Japanese has higher loan-grade of the GDP, they are exporting much more and have such an advanced economy compared to the Kenyan. This is well-known, but the President tries to flatter himself and ask of the journalist to speak like an economist. Well, that is to different professions, maybe, let economist David Ndii explain, before the PR stunt is shown yet again. Shall we?

David Ndii explaining:

Kenya’s SGR, Uhuru Kenyatta’s erstwhile legacy project, has turned out to be the bugbear that this columnist among others warned that it would be. Its freight capacity is a third of what was promised, and it cannot be competitive without a hefty public subsidy. Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration has increased Kenya’s foreign debt two and a half fold, from US$9 billion to US$25 billion. The railway alone accounts for a third of this increase; another third is by sovereign bonds for which the country has nothing to show” (David Ndii – ’CHINA’S DEBT IMPERIALISM: The Art of War by Other Means?’ 18.08.2018, link: https://www.theeastafricanreview.info/op-eds/2018/08/18/chinas-debt-imperialism-the-art-of-war-by-other-means/).

Here is Mr Masai’s conversation with the President:

President Kenyatta: Do you know what the debt of the Japanese government is?

Mr Masai: I’m not really concerned about Japan.

President Kenyatta: Do you know what the Kenyan debt is?

Mr Masai: As I said, right now it’s something between Sh4.5 to Sh4.8 trillion

President Kenyatta: No, no, no as a percentage of the GDP [gross domestic product], talk like an economist.

Mr Masai: 56 per cent of GDP

President Kenyatta: What is Japan’s debt?

Mr Masai: I’m not in Japan so I’m not interested in Japan but Kenya

President Kenyatta: Japan’s debt is over 100 per cent of the GDP” (Evelyn Musabi – ‘Why Mark Masai is trending after Uhuru roundtable interview’ 29.12.2018, link: https://www.nation.co.ke/news/Why-Mark-Masai-is-trending-after-Uhuru-roundtable-interview/1056-4913816-q3k0d/index.html).

As we have seen how a renown economist plays the Kenyan economy and how the President does it. We can really see how this plays out. The President are right about the levels of debt for the government of Japan, but that is domestic. While the growing debt of Kenya is foreign and to other nations. Which is a whole another level… Where the carefulness of paying back should be key for the Jubilee.

Also, the Kenyan is the107th largest export economy, while Japan is the 4th largest export economy. Therefore, the dynamics of the economies are different. Just by the mere recognition of this, should make the President shiver to compel them even. Just like the GDP per Capita is $3.16K in Kenya, while in Japan it is $42.3K. The last measure to prove how wrong it is, the ECON Complexity, the Kenyan is at 89th of 214, while the Japanese is 1st of 214. These numbers are all taken from the Observation of Economic Complexity (OEC). Therefore, they are saying a lot and shows why the President shouldn’t compare these economies and the loans they have. Especially, when you see the significant differences.

Kenya is miles away from Japan. They are not even close. They are so far apart, that the Kenyan better beg the Japanese advice to build their economy and not just borrow to build a railway. Peace.
