Brexit: PM May even sinks a Motion!

If a book about failures doesn’t sell, is it a success?” Jerry Seinfeld

It is now just mere days before the United Kingdom (UK) are withdrawing from their membership from the European Union (EU). As it has soon gone two years since the process started with Prime Minister Theresa May notifying the intention to leave and use of Article 50. The Tories has worked their magic and their shambolic affair, which now is tragic comedy called Brexit.

Today, it hit another stage, as the Tories and the PM made a Withdrawal Agreement, which the Parliament voted down on the 15th January 2019. Which means that the time spent between Brussels and the HM Government wasn’t fruitful or meaningful enough. As the agreement made between EU and UK are now in limbo, as the Members of Parliament see it as botched deal. That only gives way, but not the freedoms the UK is supposed to get after leaving.

However as the UK is getting closer to the due date, the deadline, which is on the 29 March 2019. It is mere 43 days ahead and nothing seems feasible. PM May had scheduled a motion to see if she had support in Parliament, as she is trying to gain support for further negotiations with the EU. Even as the EU has said, they are not in it to renegotiate.

Here’s the PM May’s Brexit Motion:

That this House welcomes the Prime Minister’s statement of 12 February 2019; reiterates its support for the approach to leaving the EU expressed by this House on 29 January 2019 and notes that discussions between the UK and the EU on the Northern Ireland backstop are ongoing” (Theresa May – Motion on UK’s withdrawal from the EU, 14.02.2019).

Today, this Motion was defeated with the total votes of “Noes” of 303. The “Ayes” was 258 votes. Therefore, the PM lost even this supporting motion in the House of Commons. The PM couldn’t even muster some moral support in the six final weeks before the official withdrawal of the EU.

The UK is clearly in a limbo, where nothing is moving or happening. The EU are seeing a ship sinking and letting it sink, by its own actions. The UK will have to be a Third Country, which will trade with WTO rules and also restricted movement of people. That is happening, as well, as the industries and businesses are hit by this.

PM May promised strong and stable leadership during the elections. However, as we have seen the recent months and year. That the PM and Tories are really weak and not coherent. They are more involved in the struggle to keep power, than actually governing. They are more focused on their own ambition, than actually delivering the needed services to the citizens. That is why they are risking the future, just for the hell of it.

They are trying to sell “No-Deal” like it is hot-cake now, because the Withdrawal Agreement was a fad and mockery of a deal. As well, as the whole negotiations with Brussels, clearly gave all way to the EU and their regulations. That is why it was bound fail from its inception. However, May and the Tories thought they could spin it all.

That did not work. Neither did a symbolic vote. Not that any of the amendments was accepted either. But they are casualties in the scheme of things.

Who is not a casualty is the Prime Minister, who has had the upper-hand and the opportunity to do something meaningful. Instead, she has made a mess and doesn’t want to clean it up. Instead, hoping no-one understand the destruction or the possible mess she has made. Because, when they do, it might be to late. Peace.

South Sudan: Manyang-Ngok community hopes two new boreholes will end feud over water Access (14.02.2019)

JUBA, South Sudan, February 14, 2019 -A borehole construction project has been launched in Manyang-Ngok county in Tonj, hoping to bring an end to conflicts arising from water access, thanks to the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), which has broken ground to drill two water points in the remote villages of Akot Madut and Atoong, located more than 40kms from the Tonj area capital.

Some youth members and a women representative welcomed the initiative, while asking for more support.

“I am giving you ‘thank you’,” said Maker Mayual, unable to contain his excitement. “Water is life. This is great, thanks to UN and the community of Manyang-Ngok. I thank them, and I thank God for bringing UNMISS and water,” he said, concluding his stream of gratitude.

Another resident, Ajak Akot, thanked UNMISS for providing water, but took the opportunity to raise other matters of concern, especially those affecting women.

“Now the distance walked in search of water is solved, but women dying during giving birth is not yet over,” she noted.

Absence of clean drinking water has often resulted in confrontations between the communities of Akot Madut and Atoong villages in Chuei-chok.

The forty-thousand-dollar ($40,000) project will hopefully reduce that, while also significantly reducing the risks of violence against women and girls who will no longer have to walk long distances in search of clean water.

The project will be implemented by the Community Initiative for Development Agency – CIDA, whose Executive Director, Gabriel Pap Nyok, asked community members to remain peaceful and support the drilling process.

“In the implementation process, especially the last stage, really needs our commitment,” he said. “That commitment should not only be from UNMISS and CIDA, but from you, too, [as the benefitting community]. We committed ourselves during the designing of the proposal that we would maintain the stability in the area so that the drilling can go on without disruption,” he noted.

UNMISS head of Kuajok field office Anastasie Nyirigira said that while serving to diminish water-related conflicts, the project would also ensure that all internally displaced persons in the area have a chance to access clean drinking water.

“The project is intended to create a conducive environment for peaceful coexistence between the host community, returnees and the IDPs [internally displaced persons] from Manyang-Ngok centre, who fled to Buot in Chuei-Chok,” she said.

“The project will also enhance gender protection which is the area government’s priority,” she added, referring to the reduced necessity for women to walk long distances in search of clean water.

Tonj Governor Mathew Mathiang Magoordit thanked UNMISS and CIDA for their partnership and assistance to the community of Manyang-Ngok county. He vowed to cooperate with UNMISS during his tenure as governor.

“I am happy and grateful to UNMISS,” he said, noting, “You have helped the community by providing water and my state administration will fully cooperate with you. I’m committed to work with UNMISS so that stability is secure.”

Their visit focused on the transition of the UN’s engagement in Darfur in the context of the drawdown of the United Nations-African Union Hybrid Operation in Darfur, known as UNAMID.

From 9 to 11 February, they visited Darfur where they engaged with local and State authorities, native administration, IDPs and Civil Society among others in order to ensure a smooth transition of peace-building tasks from UNAMID to UN Agencies, Programmes and Funds and the relevant authorities of the Government of Sudan (GOS). Opinion: Nduna MP, there is no honour among thieves…

“Don’t call me a thief, I am saying this for the last time, don’t call me a thief, I have people who I killed who I don’t even know,”Dexter Nduna MP

I don’t know if Dexter Nduna, the Chegutu MP, the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) noble and representative said in Parliament, as there was a heated discussion on Monday, the 11th of February 2019.

What is striking how easy it was for the man to say this, that he had killed. That he says he is responsible to taken lives, that he doesn’t even know. That means subjectively, that there are plenty of people, which he have killed without people knowing. Also, that he has gotten away with it too.

Also, should be said, is that MP in question is known for using violence as an election tactic. Meaning, he has fired shots during primary elections and sponsoring it for his cause, himself. Therefore, him saying he has killed someone or somebody. Might, even be an understatement, because who knows what he did during the election campaigns in 2008 and 2013. To be elected and get in office.

Therefore, who knows what he has done and sponsored on his road, in elections and in Chegutu constituency, as he boosted so strongly about on Monday. We can clearly, see and state, that there is more to follow and there should be an investigation.

Because, the man, has a problem with thieving, but not issues with murder. Nduna has at least not pulled off the perfect crime, because he cannot keep it tight. His lips are far from sealed, when he get into an intense argument. However, these words shows to what extent, that he does to get in power. To what extent he will go, to get his way.

It is chilling and cold-blooded. Just like when the President is deflecting and saying, he needs evidence for the sinister acts during the shutdown this year. We can see a party, who promotes and who has no scruples. They are a den of thieves, crooks and killers, who are congregating in the halls of power. Instead of sealed of cells and in secrecy.

What is clear, even as vicious and vindictive the man is, he is not the brightest. Because, these words that was said, was recorded and went viral. They opens up a can of worms and he to answer for those. We knows, that ZANU-PF shields their own, but for how long, when someone as toxic as this hangs around. Peace.
