My Letter to President Magufuli: Seems like you need some love 4.0

22nd December 2019, Oslo

Dear President John Pombe Magufuli

We’re entering the seasons of forgiveness and the time of redemption. Where the supposed love of God came into the world as the saviour, as a little baby; who entered the world and had to flee to safety as refugees in Egypt until Judea was safe for them.

In the hope, which Jesus brings, as the King of Kings, whose birth and birthday is celebrated on Christmas. We are surely, seeing less holy and less redeeming factors from your government. They are not forgiving, neither governing with solidarity nor care for the citizens.

Instead of giving people hope, your spreading the message of fear. People are abducted and arrested by authorities. Comedians are charged and arrested for posting pictures on social media, journalists whose doing their jobs goes missing, sealing their fate in prison and awaiting a new journey to freedom. Political parties are attacked, silenced and stopped from doing party work by the authorities. That is all done on you watch. Your the man behind these actions and making the civic space very small.

President Magufuli, your the man who steals the gifts for Christmas, your the Grinch. Not that your green, neither a goblin, but your surely not the one character everyone aspire to while looking at a Romantic-Comedy during this season. Your the villain, you are the guy that ensure everyone get hurt, because you can and you will.

Since, they are hurting your pride, the achievements you have made and the supposed greatness you deserve. They are distorting your image, they are in you eyes vicious. Therefore, you use the state apparatus to silence them. Either by the hook or by the crook, the result is that they get booked.

In his mind, there is no feast, it is no parcels of chocolate, no sweet treats or care-packages for loved ones. Only assaults on their liberties, freedom and ability to speak. If a journalists undermine you and your party, they will be arrested, loose their license to broadcast or get suspended for a few days. If it is an activists or a trade-union leader, they will be abducted and get charged by the authorities.

That is not love, but selfish actions made to ensure all love goes to you. But the love you get served by your “Yes-Men” isn’t sincere. They are only praising you and your intellect, because if they don’t you do drop them like cold coffee.

We know this, your so needy, even more needy than Ariana Grande. You need more touch and care. You need to smooched, pampered and get the your Tux cleaned before your standing under the mistletoe. That is what you need. The Mariah Carey treatment, the whole diva experience, while your supposed to be the head of state.

President Magufuli, your far from father Christmas, your even further from Jesus. Closer to the wish-list of Dax:

Yeah I want Cadillac color matte black (Skrr)

Yeah I want a thick bitch with a fat ass (Hm)

Yeah I want a crib to crash with a pool and a court and a golf course all in the back (Yah)

Yeah I want Gucci, Prada coupled with a million dollars

Instagram a million followers” (Dax – ‘Dear Black Santa’ (23.12.2018).

It seems like you want everything and with no concern, you want all people to love you, but your actions is of fear and intimidation. You want to control everything, but instead of trusting people, your micro-managing them. That is not how you get good results, but get people wondering when they are next.

That is not very Christmasy. That is why there is no Clause, there is no Santa within you. Only selfishness and self-centred motives, which overcome everyone else.

We know you need L-O-V-E Mr. President, but your actions of 2019 isn’t that, it only shows your lack of tolerance, care or even lack of heart. It has been heartless, and therefore, hard to give you any credit. Since, people are suffering and they are doing it because of you. Which is not right at all.

Mr. President. It is time for you to Netflix and chill. Time for you to consider how you want to be remembered, as soon your preparing for another term and another election. You are not the bulldozer anymore, your the silencer.

Lover is a helluva drug, but in your case. For many your the distorted EX, which scorned them. Seemed so promising, but ended up in a nightmare. Peace.

Best Regards

Opinion: Long live the ironies, but most likely, long live the foolishness

There is something about tyranny and dictatorships, where the Dictator can travel around like a King. Have his court and his jesters on tour, he can hold a campaign rally, some sort of public function without notifying the authorities or even get the approval to do so. That is because his the Fountain of Honour, the Head of State and the President.

In this regard, all through the 2019. The President and his team was for long a part of the Operation Wealth Creation Tour, where he travelled and held rallies. Also held a Radio Tour and others ones too. Hard to remember them all, but it all legal, because its the President and his court doing so.

During the last two weeks, we got to see that Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine planned and notified the Electoral Commission of planned consultation meetings in consideration of being an Presidential Candidate in the 2021 elections.

I find it very special, that the People Power Movement and everyone else has to follow guidelines and follow codes to be able to assemble, meet and hold consultation meetings. When you consider how easy and non bother it is for the President. Because, the implications for the President, should be the same as for any other aspiring candidate for the same role. There shouldn’t be one whose allowed to sing songs on bridges, while the other cannot even put up a speakers and microphones to do a gig. However, we all know there is a double standard, but this sets it in print.

That Bobi Wine and the PPM is limited in their actions, just like the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and Dr. Kizza Besigye been in the past, even Amama Mbabazi and Go Forward was stifled before the 2016 elections. With this in mind, it follows a pattern, but the restrictions and the limitations put on Bobi Wine isn’t fair.

As he should have in all fairness, been able to do exactly what the President did during his Operation Wealth Creation tour, which was direct campaigning on the slogans of the 2016 elections. When that was allowed and accepted by the state, the same state should make it possible for Bobi Wine to do the same. That is as if there was level playing field for candidates, which by the regulations and orders by the Police and Electoral Commission, proves its not.

Not like the President nor his crew had any idea who would show up and how many for the rallies during 2019. They gathered a lot of people, hired buses and hoped to have propaganda shots, but they didn’t have an estimate or afterthought of how big things would be. Alas, that Bobi Wine and his team has to know and say whose possible is really concerning, because that is limiting his approach and also his possibilities to reach out.

If the President and his cronies this is well handled, well, I hate to break it to you. Its not, not the slightest. It is weak and a continued double standard, hypocrisy at the highest order. Most likely by the blessing from the orders from above. Alas, he knows and the ones giving the instructions to People Power knows.

Not like this is shocking, it is a pattern and showing the intent to stifle and put hurdles for the rising star. They want to stop the momentum and contain it. They want to ensure that the authorities are there and that they can handle it. They want to have the information and the intel to ensure, that the they can prolong the reign and secure the prospects of another rigged elections.

Because, if it was free and fair, why where there ever any issues with the gatherings nor the rallies of the President? There should have been, why no tear-gas? Why no-one arrested and taken into prison for inciting violence? Why were there ever anyone taken or house-arrested for preventative reasons?

Well, that because the President, everything goes and everything is cool. The rest has to beg to grab a microphone and say some words of wisdom. That’s just how things are in the Republic. Peace.

Opinion: DP Ruto immortalized at Makerere University, why?

Truth is hard, propaganda is cheap.”DaShanne Stokes

What has the Deputy President of Kenya, William Ruto done, which is so noble and such to get an own institute named after him at Makerere University? I am asking this and would like to know. Since, I don’t get it and seems like a bought space.

Not like the DP haven’t started ghost projects and hopefully this is one too. Since, his the hustler, who has created massive fortunes while being in-office and being broke before entering it. His the most corrupt DP in memory. Land-grabber and government tender eating. The scale of corruption under him and Kenyatta is outrages.

Makerere University clearly doesn’t care about the reputation of the University anymore. Maybe, the assaults from the army has hit the administration and their will power has dwindled. This seems more like an investment made by the President, as a token of a promising relations between him and Ruto.

Museveni wants to be the kingmaker and wants loyal cadres within the East African Community. That’s why his kept Ruto close and they have met in past too. Therefore, in that sense, it seems like a pay-off to give Ruto the honour at Makerere. However, it is still ill of doing this way.

Since, most institutes are usually named after legendary figure, people to look up-to, even the halls of Makerere are named Lumumba and Mitchell. Also, the three institutes already there isn’t named after anyone, like IDI, MISR and MUARIK. None of them is named after anyone, but their field. Just like all the colleges at the University too.

That Ruto will get this is boggling me: “Makerere University will on Saturday, 21st December 2019 at 10:30am host His Excellency the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya – William Samoei Arap Ruto as Chief Guest at the ceremony to lay the foundation stone for the William S. Ruto Institute of African Studies” (Makerere University – ‘Launch of the William S. Ruto Institute of African Studies’ 20.12.2019).

So, he gets an institute, but his known for graft, corruption and scandals, not for great leadership, even if he has a loyal following in the Tanga-Tanga and the ones whose inter-connected with his way of kickbacks. Therefore, many will praise this, but without considering the implications. As there are plenty of foundation stones on ghost projects all-over Kenya with the DP Ruto name on it.

Surely, we can hope this fails and become as non-existent as them, as the President Museveni and his party have never built their NRM headquarters of 26 storeys. That has never materialized over the “wedding-meetings” collecting funds.

I cannot understand why DP Ruto get this honour, except if Museveni wants to buy a friend in Kenya. That would make sense, but doesn’t make it righteous. Since, it seems he does it to have a loyal ally after 2021. That is if, the President gets his wish.

Than he can point at, see what I did for you in 2019, now “love me, love me” do my bidding and help me succeed as the King of East Africa. That is the sort of man President Museveni is and DP plays along, because the DP wants to big-man. He want to eventually try to point of things he did and achieved. However, that will be hard to do with time. As the Jubilee and himself, is more known for their looting, than their proper governing.

Enough nonsense, right? Time to open a book and gain some more wisdom. Peace.
