The Storm of who has the right of running as Opposition Presidential Candidate in Kenya; Who is the supposed Presidential Candidate in the up-coming election for CORD?

The Diligent race of who will run against Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) and their incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto. Therefore they need to be a strong and viable force to be able to run a good campaign and be a viable choice instead of the men running the country currently. Especially since Kenyatta is the following of a cloth of leaders from his father Jomo Kenyatta, Mwai Kibaki and Daniel Arap Moi. So there is even more important for the Opposition to have certainty and clarity of their vision to counter the JAP.
As early as 4th April 2016 there was on this day the FORD Kenya opened the Campaign trail in Kakamega with first consultative rally for Hon. Moses Wetangula for his start for the Presidency 2017-2021.
This didn’t go down well as this sparked reactions as the ODM supporters crashed the venue and had violence between them, the ones taken part of the rally and the Police in the area. There were different excuses for how it went down and who to blame. As there were even reports saying they we’re hired by the JAP to make the Opposition look out-of-control. So there are issues to handle that I am coming to address as they need to be addressed while it still is time.

There are two important characters and opposition leaders who will have their place, first the grand opposition leader in Kenya, Hon. Raila Amullo Odinga and Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.
As there are three main parties in the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) are the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM, Odinga), Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM, Musyoka) and Forum for Restoration of Democracy (FORD-K, Wetangula). These three gentlemen and their parties went into a coalition before the 2013 General Election. Since then they are supposed to be an alternative to the ruling regime.
So the recent days of internal squabble and fight does not look good compering to the solidification and cleared air in the ruling party. Therefore the CORD looks like a wounded dog trying to all grab the bone. That is the outside look of it all. As they all had signed an agreement and if they we’re gentlemen they wouldn’t try to deflect it.
At this time there is emerging that the CORD had written a Clause 8: Special Condition.

That Special Condition says this:
“This Memorandum of Understanding also expressly states that the CORD Coalition Presidential Candidate for 2013, 2017 and 2022 are Hon. Raila Amullo Odinga, Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and Hon. Moses Wentangula respectively”. This was part of the agreement that the parties signed in 7th December 2012.
If they should honour this agreement, Hon. Moses Wetangula should have waited a tenure or term, the transition after Hon. Raila Odinga was Hon Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. That is if this political agreement and framework is supposed to be respected by the fellow parties involved. Since they should have some common sense, if not then all of them just want power by stifling everybody on the way to the Executive Position in the country. That kind of way of gaining power is not great way and you will have less friends to help you out if you get in office, as you left all of your allies in the dust while you shine in the sun.
There more parties in the Coalition they are Kenya Social Congress, The Independent Party, Kaddu Asili, Peoples Democratic Party, Chama Cha Uzalendo, Muungano Development Movement Party of Kenya, United Democratic Movement, Chama Cha Wannachi, Federal Party of Kenya and the Labour Party of Kenya. So there are more constituencies and alliances at stake, the Wiper Democratic Movement, Forum for Restoration of Democracy and Orange Democratic Movement. So there are a lot of fancy names and loyalties involved. As there next coming days will extend and show especially as the alliances will be altered by the inaction and the counter-attacking the running-mate of the CORD alliance.

The Cord Alliance could be strong if they we’re certain of who they wanted to be their Presidential Candidate, if the three main candidates didn’t start to show aggression and ambition, but showed loyalty towards each other. Now the men are showing the tone of the coming election, as the CORD alliance is dwindling as rain-water floods slowly to the river.
They could be strong political unit together and scratch each other’s backs when times need so. But when they are going alone into the campaigns and also dissolving the opposition power that they had. Because they now have to form something new with the other parties, if not then there will be 11 presidential candidates against H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta. And we all can guess the outcome. There will be no struggle and reach to prove their viability towards the ruling party.
CORD could if they go for either of Moses Wetangula, Raila Odinga or Kalonzo Musyoka. Especially considering the agreement of 2012; that the 8 clause said clearly that there was the time for the Hon. Musyoka of WDM and not the term for running for Hon. Wetangula of FORD-K. And Hon. Odinga had promised to step back after the first election under the agreement as he was the Presidential Candidate in 2013. Something that failed, still the other parties was behind him and the ODM as their flag-bearer. Now was the time to support Hon. Musyoka of WDM. Instead before the Kakamega rally of Hon. Wetangula on the 1st April Hon. Odinga endorsed him, while not showing up and having alleged ODM supporters creating animosity at the starting rally for his Presidential Campaign of 2017.

There is certainly something lost between the leaders of the ODM, FORD-K and WDM. The other 8 parties should either get them to choose one leader in peace, or else go to the ones they have the most faith in, instead of dismantling the Power of the Opposition. As if they still standing united they have something to come with, the sense of a sensible choice of leaders that can work together even with their differences. But if they fail to unite right before the races to the 2017 Elections; then there are only one winner, and no winner is at the camps of the Opposition. The winner is the JAP and incumbent Kenyatta, who gets a weak opposition and also together with no reform of the Electoral laws, gives the way into second term without much work.
The internal bickering and fighting for the Presidential Candidate in CORD will only give the JAP a stronger position into the coming elections. As the fighting between Hon. Odinga, Hon. Wetangula and Hon. Musyoka starts, and there can only be sorrow on the opposition side, as they can see the internal fighting only weakens their position and their capabilities to counter the ruling party. And what happens with the other 8 parties can question where they should go and who they want to be loyal with. Or if they want to stay alone against former allied and be single political party with their own Presidential Candidate. That is what the next few days and months will say. But there seems like there are open frictions between the three leaders of CORD coalition and it is not strengthening the opposition, but instead making the election look better for Kenyatta and Ruto. Peace.
Letter to KCCA Executive Director Musisi: ED/KCCA/007/01 – “Legal Status of the Lord Mayor Kampala Capital City” (13.04.2016)

Dr. Kizza Besigye left Kasangati Magistrate Court with a “No Cash Bond” today; Will return to Court on 27th April!

Today, Dr. Kizza Besigye was in court for taken the wrong route through Kampala Metropolitan Area, when driving to the FDC Prayeers at Najjankumbi on the 5th April 2016. As the bond leaving Naggalama Police Station was claiming and charging him for a Illegal Procession towards Najjakumbi from Kasangati.
He could argue that it wasn’t planned and that he left alone in his own car from Kasangati and as long as he drove towards Najjankumbi through Kampala more people surged around him and tailed him. This should not be seen as illegal activity for a man trying to get to Central Kampala and meet with fellow Party Officials and Party Members at the Party Headquarter. But because this he got first hold and detained at Kiira Road Police Station, before moved to Naggalama Police Station in Mukono. And stayed there all day without reason, until he got “freedom” that evening.
Here is the result from Kasangati Magistrate Court on the case for now:

Besigye was granted: “has been granted non cash bail”. He will be back to Court on the 27th April as the case will be up-to court at that date. So this is yet another case where the Police Force and Magistrate facilitate to stall the verdict and the ruling. That is what happen today.
That is what the document also says, and should not be forgotten. An if he does not answer to the charge at that day, then the FDC Mobiliser Ingrid Turinawe and Tonny Sempebwa have to cough-up UGX 2 Million! Peace.
Besigye was the “Man About Town” in Kampala, today!

This morning the Regional Police Commander Wesley Nganyizi came to Kasangati home of Dr. Kizza Besigye, not only for pleasant conversation about how the route to FDC Headquarter in Najjankumbi would be to the ‘Free My Vote’ Prayer. As we could see he was finally a bit active in town, allowed to be at FDC Headquarters and also to the bank. Wonder what next sightseeing for Kizza Besigye is as he was allowed to do party work and also take-out money from the Crane Bank.

He came also to inform Besigye about this:
“The police are running out of funds for abusing the rights of Besigye. The operation has become too costly and exhaustion has caught up with the force”.

After the Prayers Besigye needed to take out money and went to the Crane Bank, as the FDC leader who had a Police Convoy from Kasangati to Najjankumbi, the same Police Convoy has followed him to the bank. The Police even sealed of the Crane Bank and the Kampala Road, while also chasing away people from the Bank because Besigye was there.
As he went there on the Kampala chaos started to occurs as the cars and the bank is sealed off while his car is monitored. The pictures show how much fuzz it creates with a Police Convoy around the Besigye in the central Kampala.

They really fear that the crowds will attach to him and his presence outside his home. Therefore the convoy even had boda-boda in civil that drove around with pepper-spray so that they will back-off from the convoy of Besigye. Peace.

Muhammed Ssegirinya was arrested yesterday for “Unlawful Assembly” that for visiting Mulago yesterday; seem likes representatives are not allowed to access their constiuencies, unless they are approved by Mzee

So this proves there is illegal for a elected chairperson of Kampala to access the state of government facilities in his constituencies. That is just insane and stupid. But the arrogance and ignorance of the NRM Regime cannot be stated as the relics of foolishness towards the Opposition never stops. This here is one case, that it was an “Unlawful Assembly” for walking and taking a peep at the situtation of Mulago Hospital Complex and the Uganda Cancer Institute. That the Politicians are doing something unlawful by showing up at Government facilities proves the vast foolishness of the ruling party and their use of the Police to harrass the Opposition leaders and Opposition members.
An explaination how this should go:
He (Muhammed Ssegirinya) we’re arrested for nothing and detained for nothing, and will now have to answer for nothing. So the adjurned case should amount to nothing. But at the state of affairs it might end in “something” as they have planted a mustard seed of ignorance and a seed of Police State; that ends up with detaining and jailing people for trying to work for the peopel and the ones they represent while paying for do. The payment is going to court and answer for nothing. Also he would not have problem if he was associated or a made-man by the Don of the country, H.E. Museveni. Peace.

“Former presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye has ignored the sermons that were issued by the magistrates court to answer to charges of holding unlawful processions, disobeying police orders. Police spokesperson Fred enanga has now warned that the police will use its ion fist to force Besigye to court” (NBS TV Uganda, 2016).
Don Dr. Dixon Kamukama: Museveni Sitting on a Time Bomb (Youtube-Clip)

“Political Analysts says they are not surprised with the intensifying fallout between President Museveni and the West. But Makerere University Don Dr. Dixon Kamukama says the president elect is sitting on a time bomb. This week President Museveni sounded a stern warning at the Western powers over what he says is meddling in Uganda’s affairs. His comments came on the heels of US government criticism over current political situation in the country. Richard Olwenyi with the details” (NBS TV Uganda, 2016).
Local Councillor elect of Kawempe, Muhammed Ssegirinya arrested while trying to check the state of Cancer Ward at Mulago Hospital earlier today!

We are living in strange days there is a crime trying to understand the situation of where you are elected to be civil representative. A representative of people is supposed to as ignorant as Hon. Ofwono Opondo. Then you are okay in the state of Uganda. As the local Councilor of Kawempe was not allowed to enter the Uganda Cancer Institute at the Mulago Hospital Complex as the Daily Monitor confesses about it today!
The Arrest of Local Councilor of Kawempe:
“Mr Muhammed Ssegirinya (in red tie), the Lord Councillor elect Kawempe III trying to resist police from arresting him today at the gate which is the entrance to the cancer ward in Mulago. Mr Ssegirinya together with others tried to force themselves into the cancer ward where they wanted to have a look at the cancer machine that was bought by the government following the breakage of the old one. Mr Ssegirinya at first wanted to solicit for money from the public so as to purchase a new cancer machine but was told that government had bought one. In the process of entering the hospital, he was arrested by anti-riot police on instructions of Wandegeya police DPC Brian Ampaire” (Daily Monitor, 11.04.2016).

This here is a sorry state, it is the Abim Hospital and the Police Force standing by each hospital where the FDC Campaign Convoy was passing by and where the Amama Mbabazi was around in the country; as they we’re not allowed to the discuss the state of affairs.
The arrest of Muhammed Ssegirinya for trying to look at the situation and get witness reports to bring to council and give memo to fellow politicians about the Cancer Ward at Mulago Hospital Complex, should be brought into question. Why should the Anti-Riot Police intercept him for being around Mulago and what crime is it for a councilman to actually look at the governments facilities to secure funding and see the works of government, which he actually represent. Don Museveni is hand-ons and sends his made-man DPC Amapaire to get rid of opposition who is playing in his playground. Only him as a politician or gangster can arrive there and make sure that he facilitates it.
As there we’re reports earlier this month:
“Early last week, President Museveni quietly visited Mulago on Tuesday and Naguru referral hospitals on Wednesday morning. Unannounced and without his usual large security detail, the president visited the hospitals, talked to shocked patients and caused panic among the health officials whom he found in their customary lazing mode” (Kagingo, Sarah, 04.04.2016).
So the Don, the Kingpin can walk everywhere as he pleases; the ones that are not made or associates can be detained or silenced as his wish. That is because Don Museveni is the ruler, the man and the regent of the NRM Mafia can do as he pleases, while the other ones have to kiss the ring to gain access and ability to represent the people. In Uganda you represent first the Don, then the people. Peace.
