DRC: Tshisekedi should just announce himself as the victor…

Félix Antoine Tshisekedi re-elected president in the presidential election. After counting more than 10 million votes from the partial results published by CENI, he obtained more than 75%, he “can no longer be caught up”. CENI will publish provisional results on December 31, 2023” (The Voice of Congo, 28.12.2023).

Now the partial results are flooding in and at the current time incumbent President Felix Tshisekedi is winning in a landslide. The 20th December 2023 polls have been marred with irregularities, called chaotic and a charade. When you know that…

Whatever results and announced victor of the Presidential Elections would be questioned. There is no denial in that. In that chaos and mismanagement, which was pre-planned and prepared for the polls. That was all done to ensure the victory and secure a second term for Tshisekedi.

The ones believing otherwise haven’t followed the program. Tshisekedi is using the tricks of old and don’t mind doing so. Because, he knows and we knows he cannot win in a free and fair fight. He lost in 2018 and wouldn’t win now either.

The ones that has fate in the enterprise and elections haven’t followed this before. We are seeing sins being repeated and we are supposed to believe that Fatshi or Tshisekedi was the popular one. Like the incumbent had a record or the ability to gain such numbers over one term. When he barely scraped the barrel in 2018.

That’s why he did wheeler-dealing and created the CACH-FCC agreement in the first place. This was how he got to office and got ahead. Not because the public wanted him, but his luck by striking a deal with Kabila. That’s all it took and we are supposed to forget that?

Really?

We are in 2023… but we cannot forget that short after. It isn’t like ancient history or far beyond recent past. No, it is was just back in 2018 and we have the ramifications of that in 2023. The whole term has been distancing himself from allies and align himself with people who will not defy him. That’s what his been busy doing and not building “unity” or anyting.

No, Tshisekedi won’t let the nation prosper. Neither will the nation feel any difference. It will be more of the same. The insecurities and the insurgencies will continue. The private armies and paramilitary groups will have power. They will matter and the FARDC will be overstretched. There will be loopholes and possibility for others to gain on the lack of control. That’s what is up for grabs and this President has no functioning tools to sufficiently eradicate it. If not… there is no will to stop it.

That’s why this flawed election isn’t making things better. This whole scenario and election could have been pre-written and the numbers announced guessed months ahead. It is just like it was prepared and now the authorities are just running through the motions. There is no shockers or surprises. Only more of the same… and we are to believe that to be true.

Alas, Tshisekedi might fool a few, but he shouldn’t be able to fool a nation. He was lucky in 2018, but now it is another beast. It’s his appointees and his people running the show. That’s why its all his advantage and for him to enjoy the spoils. The protocols are being fulfilled and soon he can swear himself in. Just like anyone else who uses elections to legitimize their own reign. Peace.

Tchad: Will Gen. Kaka live on a lie or die on the hill of 86%?

Constitutional referendum: Yes wins with 86% of votes

Mass has been said. Conorec has just published the provisional results of the referendum. According to figures from Limane Mahamat and his team, the Yes vote wins with 86%, far ahead of the No vote of 14%” (Nouvelles.Td, 24.12.2023).

After the electoral charade, the Itno family held an emergency meeting around the dictator Mahamat Idriss Deby. The fate of the poor Chadian people and the choice of the future prime minister under discussion” (Tchad One, 25.12.2023).

The recent referendum went down as expected and the result was obvious. There is no way the Gen. Mahamat Idriss Deby aka Kaka would suffer a defeat. Neither would any of his junta allies. The leaders and the elite surrounding the General needed the referendum to go the right way. Which is just showing the intent and the whole purpose of it.

The ones believing in the process and the announced results can only be the ones in the hands of Gen. Kaka. The others are questioning it like Wakit Tama and other opposing the referendum. The election itself was a lifeline and legitimizing the current regime.

This is just scripted and prepared, it was a mess to begin with and done so by the authorities. The generals and the elites wanted this to happen. Just to ensure they had a reason to rule and prolong the transition. This also to make it possible for Gen. Kaka to hold an election. He wants to persist as the Head of State and continue the family reign of Tchad. That’s why his there and he won’t leave office anytime soon.

While Gen. Kaka lives a lavish lifestyle and his fellow allies does the same. The plights of the fellow man or commoner isn’t existing. They are just there to dance for their king and be jolly for their substandard living. There are others who are lucky to be drafted, hand-picked and even be part of the system. The ones who doesn’t get there is left behind and they are just numbers for statistics.

Gen. Kaka only needs the people when he wants to “elected” and the rest of the time he will use force to be the one. He won’t serve people, but wants the people to serve him. That’s why he don’t mind living on a lie and hold a fraudulent election. It is just what he needs and it makes him feel great.

The General better reconsider and he won’t get any favours. Only more heartache and later trouble, as his fragile empire can fall quickly. Just like the life of his father that was taken without a notice on the battlefield. Peace.

Opinion: Chaos won’t save you Tshisekedi…

Félix Tshisekedi who is the incumbent for Presidency in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have underestimated the people and the electorate. He thinks he can use old tricks of disorganization, lacking infrastructure and other measures to weaken the 20th December 2023 elections. That’s how things are looking at the moment.

Tshisekedi wasn’t the popular candidate in the previous election either. He was able to trick the system and sign a deal with the predecessor. That’s why CACH went into an alliance with the FCC. An alliance that the President has burned and disbanded over the term. That and other allies he went after to isolate himself and create more power in his hands.

The reports that foreign mercenaries, army reserves and the republican guards are ordered on the streets and in the cities, which are the strongholds of the opposition. That’s a sign that the authorities and the incumbent is worried about the announcement of the Presidential Elections.

It is telling that the gig is up this time. Several civil society organizations has called out the mismanagement and the charade of elections. The opposition candidates are calling it out too and have seen how it was done.

The time the announced results comes… there will be lack of trust and credibility. That’s because of how the President and the state organized the polls. It doesn’t matter what numbers they create or what they announce.

If he was confident and thought he would be a victor. He wouldn’t have run things this way and made it a shambolic chaos. Tshisekedi cannot run away from the problematic efforts of the elections.

If he thinks this make him legitimate or credible, his very wrong and the appointed commissioners of CENI isn’t making it better either. Tshisekedi can think he was clever with the ones he got the job there. However, everyone will question it even further…

When we know how things was rigged in 2018. We can rest assure that Tshisekedi would easily do it again. He was able to trick the system and get one term. That’s something his not willing to give up. Especially when he can could bully his former allies and put checks on them. This is what he has done and that power he won’t be willing to give away.

No, Tshisekedi is willing to live on a lie and hoping people gives way to him. This time around he won’t have the support of FCC or Kabila. That’s someone he turned on and you can wonder if he has enough allies to trick it this time. Because, that is the most valuable asset he has.

Tshisekedi cannot run or hide. Everything he does is being revealed. There are no place to hide or think he can get away with it. No, no one wants to give him that favour. He has already been lucky enough to be the Head of State for one term. Now his pursuing to trick the system and get his way for another term.

Tshisekedi was lucky last time and he was able to forge an alternative. Nevertheless, the same isn’t there in 2023 and he knows it too.

The chaos, mismanagement and the recklessness of the state won’t save him. It has instead showed that he hopes this is a fraud he can get away with. Peace.
