Brexit: Prime Minister Boris Johnson letter to President Donald Tusk (28.10.2019)

Brexit delayed again: Groundhog Day number 3

Phil Connors: “It’s the same thing every day, Clean up your room, stand up straight, pick up your feet, take it like a man, be nice to your sister, don’t mix beer and wine ever, Oh yeah, don’t drive on the railroad tracks” (Groundhog Day, 1993).

Well, we are at it again. The United Kingdom revoked their membership on the 29th March 2017 and within a two year period plan to leave the European Union. However, the Brexit day of 29th March didn’t happen.

On March 20th 2019, the UK government asked for an extension. Since the Tories and Parliament couldn’t agree on the terms of the exit. Neither, the statutes configuring the border question in Northern Ireland. That’s why the EU accepted another extension until 30th June 2019.

Later in April, the EU and EU Council accepted that the extension could last until 31st October 2019. Which was the day set to start the transition period of leaving. But by the knowledge today. The change of Prime Minister and new government. They have been able to bottle another amended withdrawal agreement and lost more in Parliament than ever before.

Therefore, on the 28th October, the EU and the EU Council have accepted another extension to give the Tories and UK time to reconfigure things. They have now the date of 31st January 2020.

That means the UK have bottled and misused the time since 29th March 2017 and is close to three years in limbo. Where three Prime Ministers, David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson have all failed the task. They have all been shambolic, in ways unbelievable to think off before this. They have lost majority parliament, they have lost one general election and pushing the referendum still. Without considering another referendum.

It is okay to elect new parliament, new MPs and a new cabinet, but not fine and dandy to check if people really want to leave. Now that the public actually knows a bit of the cost, knows the trade-offs and the loss of relevance across the British Channel. The Irish is more powerful, than the Brits. That must hurt the pride of London and silence Merry Poppins.

This is all magical, the universe doesn’t seem in sync if it is not a few headlines on Brexit. We need some more time to crunch the inevitable end of it. The Tories seems boggled and lost. If and buts will be more off and certainly, Boris might be laying in a ditch, but prefer that’s his not dead. We don’t need more hurt than the process is already is.

The government, the parliament and the EU haven’t been capable to proceed to find the remedy. The cause of the leaving became much harder, than the Brexiteers ever thought. The remainers are seeing the pain, but don’t know how to end the suffering. The EU is just looking at the UK and how torn it is.

The hardliners, the ones whose govern lost another specific date. The Brexit Day of 31st October left the building, just like the 29th March 2019 did too. The 30th June went missing too and now the new final date 31st January 2020. It is a farce, a mockery and failure from the get-go.

There is no winners here, only loosers and the biggest loser is the ones in power, who cannot succeed. The loss is the citizens and the ones who has to pay for all of this. Because, the entitlement and extravagant show is a flair without any substance. The EU and UK could have known this would cost. The Tories should known before leaving, that it would loose a lot and also pay for leaving. But they didn’t want the truth, but instead swim in lies.

Now, we are back at another groundhog day. Theresa May went through this and now Boris Johnson does too. They are showing the same buyer’s remorse, but no one want to buy their knock-off product, which they are selling. Both their Withdrawal Agreements and Withdrawal Act’s sucks. Nobody wins, and everyone lose. Who wants to bet on that? No one wants too.

It is just like the Tories, Whitehall and Downing Street No. 10 doesn’t know. Peace.

Opinion: North Korea warns the US again!

This is not the first time the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea or the North Korea fires some salvoes the way of the United States of America Administration. Especially the Trump Administration and their diplomats.

Just last year, the DPRK said this about the US: “The U.S. is fatally mistaken if it went to the extent of regarding that the DPRK would be compelled to accept, out of its patience, the demands reflecting its gangster-like mindset. A shorter way to denuclearization on the Korean peninsula is to remove deep-rooted mistrust and build up trust between the DPRK and the U.S” (KCNA: Foreign Ministry Spokesman on DPRK-U.S. High-level Talks, 07.07.2018).

So the North Koreans are tired of the gangsters in Washington DC. It is again another salvo from Pyongyang, This is not new, but this shows that the diplomatic relations are strained. What is happening is not reassuring. As the meetings, the supposed grand-deal or anything else haven’t changed anything. Only paid Kim Jong-Un for a few international trips and hotel service on the outside of North Korea.

The DPRK-U.S. relations that could have been derailed and fallen apart several times due to such hostile acts and wrong habitual practices on the part of the U.S. are still maintained. It goes to the credit of the close personal relations between Chairman of the State Affairs Commission Kim Jong Un and President Trump. But there is a limit to everything. The close personal relations can never be kept aloof from the public mindset and they are never a guarantee for preventing the DPRK-U.S. relations from getting aggravated or for making up for. The U.S. trumpets the crucial measures taken by the DPRK for confidence-building as its own “diplomatic gains” but no substantial progress has been made in the DPRK-U.S. relations and belligerent relations still persists that there can be the exchange of fire any moment. The U.S. is seriously mistaken if it is of the idea of passing off in peace the end of this year, by exploiting the close personal relations between its president and the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK for the delaying tactics” (Kim Yong Chol – ‘Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, (KAPPC) made public a statement on Oct. 27’, 27.10.2019).

If the Trump Administration want to be serious. There need to be more love-letters and maybe not the tough-guy letter to Erdogan. That is a bad look and not showing class. Neither the tact between two parties. There is time for Washington to get in the ones whose not gangsters and whose diplomats to actually act diplomatic. That is if they are serious about making the Korean Peninsula a peaceful and non-nuclear.

However, the non-action and the threats are not the thing to sustain this one. The fragile relationship seems like it needs some reassuring messages. Needs some love and care, just like flowers needs water and sun to stay alive. This is why the Trump Administration needs to do something. That is if they they care about their allies in South Korea and Japan. Since, they all need a peaceful DPRK. They don’t need missiles hitting vessels in South Korea or closer to Japan. That is not helping anyone.

Except getting the DPRK again in the headlines, just like missile testing and showing the brilliance of the industrial actions of the weapons program. Instead of finding a middle ground and some sort of arrangement that the DPRK and the US combined seems to win with. That is not happening right now. Just more hawkish activity or non-action. Both not making anything positive.

This got to change. That is if the US administration or the DPRK want this to work. Peace.

Brexit: Written evidence Memorandum from the Home Office (PFB0018) – (24.10.2019)

Opinion: Trump, Kiev is calling and we got the message.

President Donald J. Trump who has already been investigated in the Russian Probe, which was dodged and botched by all means. Is now trying to do the same thing to the Ukrainian investigation, which is made by the United States House Committee’s. Where he even orders and supports in-house rebellion to storm a closed session of the investigation in-front of a bi-partisan group of representatives, both Republican and Democrats. This was also a hold of a new witness to speak there too.

Therefore, we know the Republicans and the President is desperate, when he sends his lackey Mike Gaetz and 30 other representatives who don’t care about the rules or stipulations about these hearings. Neither about the rules of telecommunication and so on. They don’t care, as long as they stall or ensure trouble around the investigation itself. That is becoming to hot for the Presidency.

As the former envoy and ambassador to Ukraine William B. Taylor statements about a irregular back-channel of information in concern of intelligence and also verified the quid-pro-quo. If the Ukrainian President ensured an investigation into Hunter Biden, than the Ukrainian state would get the military assistance the US had suspended. That was the arrangement.

This has already been seen in the MEMCOM of the call between Donald J. Trump and also the released text messages between many of the involved in the scandal. All evidence points to this and the envoy Taylor verified that yesterday. That’s why the GOP and the handlers of Trump is so stressed.

We know this is bad, because most of the departments, close associates to the President is not releasing the subpoenaed documents. The ones involved are not doing so, even as the associates to the lawyer of the President Rudy Giuliani is behind bars awaiting trial. While more and more people are being served time to witness before the committee. Therefore, the onion is being peeled and the evidence is very clear.

There was shady business, that is easy to see by the MEMCOM, Text Messages and the statement of Taylor. Combined with the testimony of Fiona Hill and who knows what else will come up. Who else who will leave more details and stories. Which implicates the President and his administration more. There is also talks of an aide of Rep. Devin Nunes was involved indirectly feeding documents to Trump through another back-channel to Kiev. Surely, the mess just get worse by the minute and that why the GOP had to make a fuzz at the Capitol Hill today.

This one is showing how the scandal has become such a big deal. Why the Trump Administration cannot run away from this investigation and why the US Committee has to push it through and dig deep. Not give way or stop halfway. They got to find all the details and compel a grand case. As the Senate might give-in. As they are all loyal to Trump, even if it means defying the congress out of loyalty to the President. They are putting one man ahead of the rule of law and justice. Because, they need the White House to have any significant power, by all means. That is what that would mean.

That even as the Ukrainian scandal goes through, the impeachment proceedings, as the President and his men ordered and fixed this. Trump cannot answer this and thinks he can get away with it. Especially, as long as the party stands behind him and his cronies are tagging along. But how many of them must fall or answer to their crimes, before the buck stops? When is it enough?

What does it take before the evidence of conspiracy is deep enough to break the confidence in the President. Because right now, a paper-trail of Mount Everest doesn’t seem enough. Which says more about the Republicans, than the world right now. Peace.
