Ethiopia: Abiy will not have dialogue with anyone [because his the next emperor]

There been some diplomatic moves where the Sudanese has tried to hold talks or even send messages the leadership in Addis Ababa. However, the Ambassador and Diplomats of Khartoum haven’t gotten anything fruitful and the project should just get dismissed.

We know that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and his allies within the Prosperity Party will not have talks or mediation with anyone. It doesn’t matter if it is his Sudanese counterpart Abdalla Hamdok, who happens to be the current Chair of The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), which he has had since February this year.

Hamdok and the Sovereign Council would like the political capital of participating and having direct mediation in Ethiopia. That would boost his role on international scene and make him look even better. As there are enough trouble brewing in Khartoum and in Darfur as is. Not like the transitional government in Sudan is over the hurdle. There is still revolutionaries and dissidents who wants to topple this current regime as well. They are not seeing the civilian transition they aspired too. So, a mediation success in Ethiopia would buy the Sovereign Council and Hamdok time.

However, Abiy and PP has no interests in talks. Their handlers, the close associates and everyone rather vilify anyone. If it is the United States, United Nations organizations, Civil Society Organizations or Humanitarian agencies. Anyone is an possible enemy, as long as they act independently and not following direct accords with majesty in Addis.

This is why Abiy will not talk to Hamdok. Last few times they been close to each other. It has been pleasantries, but short-lived meetings. Hamdok have travelled to Addis Ababa only for an hour or two, before the host dipped to Tigray. Neither was there any sincere talks in the IGAD meeting of head of states. Therefore, asking for Hamdok to invite and do this was a foolish enterprise.

The Ethiopian has already grievances and they will cry out loud. They will claim Sudanese territory and not take accountability for the skirmishes inside Sudan. Neither, will the Ethiopian pay amends for the killed soldiers or anyone else. They will just claim Sudanese is in the wrong and that this isn’t an extension on the conflict in Tigray.

So, we are here… and the Sudanese has already asked for the Ethiopian peacekeepers to leave the Abyei region. Where they are residing. There has also already been reports of arms confiscated from the Ethiopian army to Sudanese rebels. This is why the Sudanese doesn’t trust the Ethiopian consignment to the peacekeeping operation.

Hamdok and the Sudanese might have all the best reasons for the mediation or dialogue within Sudan. The Ethiopian parties might get served well with these outsiders looking in. However, the Sudanese has given up and even recalled the ambassador from Addis Ababa. That shows how fickle and why nothing will work.

Abiy just have to have his way, as his the anointed emperor and seventh king of Ethiopia. The warlord who will not negotiate or talk with anyone. His enemies either just have to die or linger as treasonous people behind bars. That’s what he does and the “peace agreement” with Eritrea seems more like a war-pact, than a peace agreement with each passing moment. This is why the Eritrean forces been so active and destructive in the months of warfare within Ethiopia.

While Abiy and PP speaks of sovereignty, but still let foreign forces invade and murder citizens. This is why the asking of a diplomatic mission and dialogue would make sense. However, then Abiy have to meet others halfway and he has to give up his consolidation of power. That is a “reform” he is not willing to loose. He has already invested everything. Even the death of the youth and the army to get his objective. This is why he will not give way and give-in. That is already long time gone. He needs to win this and by all cost. Doesn’t matter if it is genocide, hyper-inflation or possible shortages of basic commodities. No, it is all worth it for the throne and the rise to power.

Prime Minister Abiy as awaiting his coronation and swearing-in. He is awaiting the grandeur of his growing empire and everyone dancing to his tunes. That is what his goal and it doesn’t matter what it cost. It doesn’t matter how much blood that is sacrifices and many lives who was touched to get there. No, they are casualties for the greater good and his prestige. Everyone is supposed to sing psalms of glory and praise the king for his ways.

That is why Hamdok could never succeed. The Sudanese was on a fools mission and there was never hope of this succeeding. It was meant to fail and it was by no coincidence. Abiy wanted it this way and Khartoum shouldn’t worry about this failure. That was inevitable. Nobody would have made it through. When there is no will, there is no way. Peace.

Opinion: USAID should end the OTI programme

USAID support for destabilization is no secret to the targeted governments(Dan Beeton – ‘ USAID Subversion in Latin America Not Limited to Cuba’ 04.04.2014).

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) needs to revaluate the Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) and their role in interference across the globe. The USAID which is directed by the Secretary of State and gives the policy guidance to the organization. The USAID is supposed to be about “development” and “American Generosity” since 1961. The U.S. Organization in-charge of all foreign civilian aid. That sounds all well, right?

However, the OTI Office is what is questionable. As that is not offering humanitarian assistance, aid or programs of development. No, that is an office and agency for “transition” and change of power. Where the USAID are not coming to aid or develop but to change the leadership of a given country. Where the US incites and even participate in coup d’etat’s to get their wanted leader or head of state.

The USAID have been meddling in Latin America, where the OTI offices has interfered in several countries. WikiLeaks leaked a “internal memo” in 2013 detailing the plan to undermine the Chavez regime in Venezuela. This has also been done in Bolivia and Ecuador. The USAID used the agency as a tool to get their puppets in the respective countries.

The USAID should be looked as an honest actor, but that ship has sailed. They are a tool in the machinery of the State Department and the U.S. interests across the globe. The OTI was created in 1994 and worked to do this things all these years.

When the Bolivian President Evo Morales expelled and shutdown USAID in his country last year for alleged attempts to undermine his leftist government, he wasn’t being paranoid after all. As a recent expose by the Associated Press shows USAID’s so-called “democracy promotion programmes” are designed to foment dissent against governments unfriendly to Washington. “In a number of countries, including Venezuela and Bolivia, USAID is acting more as an agency involved in covert action, like the CIA, than as an aid or development agency,” asserted Mark Weisbrot, an economist with a Washington-based think tank, the Centre for Economic and Policy Research” (Linda S. Heard – ‘Beware of aid agencies bearing gifts’ 21.04.2014, Gulf News).

If the USAID wants to be pawn and a useful tool for the State Department and the Pentagon. Than they can use the OTI programme. However, then they are not a directly NGO or a Aid Organization. No, it is then a part of the state machinery to other objectives. Not to fix or develop the nations it is in. Neither is to bring people out of poverty. No, then its about getting American interests and doing the bidding of the CIA. That’s another ball-game than doing aid or humanitarian assistance. To change leaders and incite uprisings for political change. That is not the work of a humanitarian organization.

Unless, USAID wants to be an imperial relic and a warning signs across the world. That if the USAID comes knocking on your doors. They are not coming with bread and water to the ones seeking refugee away from home after living in conflict zones. The OTI is changing the leadership and using various of means to inspire it to happen. To make ensure the Americans have their leaders and not the ones who works against the U.S. interests. This is why the OTI exists and certainly final objective.

If the USAID wants to look like and smell like a humanitarian organization. They better act like one and not be covert operation for the CIA. Because, the OTI is masking that and using the “legitimacy” of USAID to enforce the missions of CIA in any given territory, which is imperialism at its best. Peace.

Opinion: Biya and Buhari’s beneficial agreements

It is now come to the world to know that Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and Cameroonian President Paul Biya have agreed to help each other out. They are both in conflict and have successionist regions, which easily could have the need to have bases in each other countries. However, with this agreement between the Presidents that will not be possible.

Buhari is in direct conflict and is aiming hard at the leadership of Biafra. While Biya have had years of civil war in the Ambazonian regions or the South-West and North-West Regions of Cameroon. Therefore, this current agreement is not only a beneficial agreement for both parties, but also making the windows of the movements for succession even smaller.

Buhari is cleverly selecting a friend, who is much of the time in absence, but still a nice idea. He has no issues doing this, as he gets things easier and can easier quell and stop Ambazonian organization on his soil. Just like Biya can do the same with Biafran organization on his. That is why this deal is important.

They are both doing this deliberately to have allies across its borders, as these regions are close to the neighbour country. In this way with this deal. The governments have sealed the borders from within and from the outside. There is less or no wiggle room. They don’t have the ability to have guerrilla warfare from across the borders too. They are now enemies within the realm of the near-by country. Because, of the agreement between the Presidents.

This alliance of anti-successionist only undermine the efforts of the general public and this regions to have a say. They could easily be transferred and be deported, if they are found out now. If a Biafran leader is in Cameroon. That person could easily be deported to Lagos in a hot-minute. The same could a Ambazonian leader who could easily be deported to Yaoundé.

This is done with clear intent and with reason. They are willing to do this. The leaders are ensuring themselves and can use their abilities to close borders, options and silence the successionist this way.

Also showing the world what brings them together. These two are not trying to talk or have dialogue with the successionist or even have a political framework to do so. No, they are making it illegal and making it harder for them to operate. That’s the gist of this and its inevitable. That sooner or later, we will hear stories, see the headlines and the skirmishes. Where one or the other went after successionist of the other nation. Just to honour the agreement. Peace.
