Sudan: Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) – Important Statement (15.09.2023)

We in the Forces of Freedom and Change are following with great concern the indicators that are escalating as both sides of the war threaten to form a government in the positions they control, which is an extremely dangerous matter that will result in the fragmentation and division of the country.

The Forces of Freedom and Change affirm, based on their historical and national stance, their complete rejection of this trend, which sows the seeds of the fragmentation of Sudan’s unity, deepens the conflict, and expands the circle of war in preparation for turning it into a comprehensive civil war.

We also stress that since the coup of October 25, 2021, there is no legitimacy for any party in Sudan to form any government.

According to the above, we in the Forces of Freedom and Change will take a number of steps to confront plans to divide the country and work to stop them, most notably direct and immediate communication with the armed forces and rapid support, with the aim of urging them to avoid any current or future steps that lead to tearing the country apart and continuing the war, escalating it and increasing its scope. We will work to Encouraging them to sit down and negotiate to stop the war and address the catastrophic humanitarian situation.

We, in the Forces of Freedom and Change, will also intensify our communication with political and civil forces in order to build the broadest anti-war civil front and preserve the unity of Sudan, and we will continue diligently addressing regional and international parties to sound the alarm about the development of the course of the war and calling on them to play a positive role that accelerates the end of this absurd war and restores the path of transition. Democratic civil rights, and all our capabilities and tools of our political, diplomatic and media work will continue to be exerted in order to preserve the country’s unity, safety, freedom and security, with our full bet on the awareness of our people and their ability to achieve their legitimate aspirations and make their dreams a possible reality with a livelihood that fulfills the slogans of the glorious December Revolution in freedom, peace and justice in the homeland. One for all Sudanese men and women.

Ukraine: It would have been better if the G20 said nothing…

Concerning the war in Ukraine, while recalling the discussion in Bali, we reiterated our national positions and resolutions adopted at the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly (A/RES/ES-11/1 and A/RES/ES-11/6) and underscored that all states must act in a manner consistent with the Purposes and Principles of the UN Charter in its entirety. In line with the UN Charter, all states must refrain from the threat or use of force to seek territorial acquisition against the territorial integrity and sovereignty or political independence of any state. The use or threat of use of nuclear weapons is inadmissible” (G20 Summit Delhi, 09.09.2023).

Words matters. Declarations has a profound meaning and documents are supposed to state a sort of fact or a will to do something. However, the G20 Summit in Delhi in 2023 is toothless in regard to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is mediocre and weak…

The G20 had served the world a better stew if they had avoided the conflict, like it is avoiding others too. There is no difference in this and that’s why Moscow or the Russians are happy with it. They have gotten away with it and isn’t really condemned for their actions. Instead it is just saying what it needs to say. The saw sort of legal apology video for YouTube, no heart and no concern for the victims. However, a video that hopefully patches the hurt so the content creator can move-on and go back to scheduled programming. The same can be said about the G20 Declaration in regard to Ukraine.

Kyiv and the allies should be infuriated. It is just a fake and fraud. The G20 would be better of remaining silent and not uttering a single word. That would have been much better actually. It would have been sincere and honest. This declaration is just a mess and isn’t helping anyone in dire need. Neither does it address the elephant in the room or the reason for the conflict. Just a nice filled paragraph of catchphrases and a few anecdotes that is necessary at the world stage. However, nothing substantial or useful.

It is just mere fluff, empty hollow piece of words… next time the G20 better just not say a word and let bygones be bygones. The world doesn’t needs these things and especially when it isn’t constructive or sincere. The G20 isn’t fooling anyone and it isn’t that clever either. Peace.

Opinion: Macron won’t release his “Françafrique” just yet…

The problem of Nigeriens today is putschists who are putting them in danger, because they are abandoning the fight against terrorism, because they are abandoning a policy which was economically good for them, and because they are losing all the international funding that was enabling them to get out of poverty” – President Emmanuel Macron (LSI Africa, 28.08.2023).

We are seeing the desperation from Paris. Paris is losing their vassal states and the ones who has been under wings under “independence”. These nations are now addressing Paris in a manner, which it haven’t been before. While the “French Interests” has come before the National Interests of these “independent” states themselves. In this regard, Niger.

Niger has treated unfairly and unkindly. It has been a place of looting and control from Paris. They have found “mechanisms” and means to an end. That has been done through military assistance or other means. Just to be the “white saviour” who happens to take home the valuable assets from where-ever they where stationed for hot minute. That’s what Paris has done and they thought they could continue this practice for forever.

They thought they could loot, steal and have a say in national affairs all over Sahel region. The French thought they could use power and influence to get “interests” which benefits Paris. That to still be seen as an empire and be a big deal. The French has been proud of this method. The way it keeps of colonial practices and “liberation” agreements, which binds the nations with the French. It isn’t for fun or games, but for profit and gold. The French wants to extract and get as much resources as possible for cheap. That’s why they finessed the “liberators” who signed off on horrific agreements, but they did so in the best possible manner. Since then they have been guaranteed pressure and potential setbacks from Paris.

That’s why the junta government in Niamey was the final straw for Macron and the elites of Paris. They have already tasted the bitter fruits in Burkina Faso, Mali and Guinea. Now Niger is following suit. Being a block of nations of former French colonies who strikes back. The Empire wants to strike back this time. They want their puppet and friend regime in office. Not people who see who the French really are. No, they want to the ones who are willing to budge and be a token soldier for France. That’s all it is and the resigned President in Niger is one of them.

The French doesn’t care about democracy or democratic values in “Francafrique”. This is the same people who are happy with the family dynasties of Togo, Tchad and Gabon. The nation who are backing Biya in Cameroon and so fourth. There so many questionable leaders that the French are supporting in Africa and they still wants to be the voices of reason. When we see what sort of men they shaking hands with and giving favourable treatment. Seriously, the junta of Niamey is the least problem the French has on its hands.

We have seen Macron been disrespectful to Algeria and elsewhere during his tenure in office. Yet again, he shows the French arrogance and belief that they “own” and has a “unique” right to be there. If they are there now and has a mandate. That should be decided by Niamey and not by Paris. Just like Niamey shouldn’t decide what is happening in Paris. That is sovereignty and Paris should respect that. However, neocolonialism and French arrogance stands in the way of that.

A man of Macron stature should understand this, but his jaded with power. That’s why he behaves like this and even uses the “war on terror” as an excuse to overstay in Niger. This is all up to the Head of State of Niger and his fellow dignitaries in office. They are the ones deciding this on behalf of Niger. It isn’t up to Macron to decide that.

Macron isn’t a white saviour and the French state haven’t saved their former colonies. Instead it has kept them in chains and shackles. Under a bureaucratic mess and vast amount of agreements, which has haunted them since “independence”. So, he should be more careful and be grateful that it lasted this long. Peace.
