Trump goes back into the future with the North Koreans: 1994 Versus 2018!

Today, Donald J. Trump might thinks in his mind, that he with this signature has done a masterstroke. Just like William Clinton thought in October 1994. That he was the master chief and the key statesman who gotten peace on the Korean Peninsula. However, there aren’t much difference in today’s agreement from 12th June 2018 and the 21st October 1994. Especially not the ball-park. Dennis Rodman might be new feature in diplomatic circles, but the agreement is like rehashing old ideas and putting some paint on it.

First the key part of the 21st October 1994:

Both sides will work together for peace and security on a nuclear-free Korean peninsula.

1. The U.S. will provide formal assurances to the DPRK, against the threat or use of nuclear weapons by the U.S.

2. The DPRK will consistently take steps to implement the North-South Joint Declaration on the Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

3. The DPRK will engage in North-South dialogue, as this Agreed Framework will help create an atmosphere that promotes such dialogue” (US-DPRK AGREED FRAMEWORK / SIX-PARTY TALKS, 21.10.1994).

Second the key part of the 12th June 2018:

Convinced that the establishment of new U.S.-DPRK relations will contribute to the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula and of the world, and recognizing that mutual confidence building can promote the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un state the following:

1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new U.S.-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.

2. The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.

3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified” (Joint Statement of President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea at the Singapore Summit, 12.06.2018).

You either get taken by hook or the crook. But I am not eating it. This is like Kim Jong-Ill walked in the flesh and became more tolerable, the same has Kim Jong-Un now done. Both of them got the bargain for committing to do something, while not really doing it. The same can happen now. The regime in Pyonyang can do as they please anyway. Trump got a photo-op and actually a token of peace, without really co-signing anything. If he will commit to it, time will tell, because he has torn every other deal apart. But genius in deal-making he is not, than he has to give credit to Clinton. Who practically did the same in 1990s and I doubt Trump will share credit.

Because to to me, “take steps towards” and “commits to work toward” is really mediocre in language sense. There is no timeline, there is no scheduled affairs and nothing that would stop the DPRK from not continuing. This is like writing a letter of intent, but not ratifying it into law. So they don’t have to do it, they might consider to do it, I suppose, but nothing other than with intent.

There more hold in the NDA Micheal Cohen have crafted to Stormy Daniels to silence her, than what they agreed upon to stop the North Koreans from continuing their path to nuclear warheads. That says something. Peace.

Brexit: The UK will get a HARD Border with the EU!

The European Union has a rebuttal to the United Kingdom’s technical note on the Temporary Customs Arrangement with the EU, that they published on the 7th June 2018. Again, there are questionable things with the UK arrangement. As they are not properly prepared or have solutions to the new status of the Kingdom. That is weird that after so long working on leaving the EU, the UK still have no clue or at least delivering hackwork to the negotiating partner.

That is why some parts of the Technical Note from EU that was published today is critiquing the UK. They are really leaving nothing behind. Everything is criticized, they did this on the 8th June 2018 and published it today on the 11th June 2018. So the EU didn’t wait long to answer the UK.

What the UK lacks in their note is to explain this parts to the EU:

Customs

Duties, VAT and excise, trade policy, governance

Regulatory [no UK proposal]”

That the UK and the Tories have no explanation concerning the duties, VAT, excise, trade policy or even governance of the Customs Unions between them. That the duties of goods, the lack of explaining the VAT arrangement and general trade policy. This is all about how the UK as a third-party state to the EU will comply with the standards and also how they will tax the goods. How the labeling and the checking of the goods between the EU and the UK. That is the governance that is not explained. They have been working on this months and still have no clear indication of how the UK plans to this and what they are wanting to see.

There is no regulation or regulatory explanation of it. That is a real surprise, as this is tale of how the goods and the movement of products are supposed to adjust the new border requirement. The Customs will then follow standards and protocol of the papers, licenses and the general checks of the goods. The added duties, VAT and excise taxes as well. It is weird that the negotiating team of the UK haven’t delivered.

The EU Note is specific in the nature that the EU decision-making autonomy in Trade Policy and also Full EU Supervision and enforcement mechanisms, this means the UK has to follow both parts of the Trade Policy from the EU. That is if they want their goods to be fairly crossing into the Customs Union and the regulations they are following it. It is interesting and weird that the UK have no proposal for the regulatory devices of the customs arrangement between them. If that isn’t a failure, than nothing is.

The key ending of the arrangement from the technical note is this: “Does not cover regulatory controls, leading to a hard border”. So the softness of the UK will not have affect, the effect of the withdrawal will be hard, the price of leaving the Union will be hard. The border are most likely hard, as the proposals are either non-existing or not following the needs of the EU. This is something the negotiating team of UK should know. They cannot have the same arrangement as they have today, because they are not an member(wrote that a few times now, but it seem to be consistent with the nonsense the London offices gives to the world).

That is the impact the UK has to await themselves. Even Michel Barnier stated this on the 8th of June:

In all the UK papers that we have been receiving until now – which I read carefully with my team – there has been a request to maintain the status quo, a form of continuity, which is paradoxical seeing as the country decided itself to leave the European Union. The United Kingdom seems to want to maintain the benefits of the current relationship, while leaving the EU regulatory, supervision, and application framework. When we respond to UK leaders saying that these benefits are not accessible outside the EU system – because of their decision – some people in the UK try to blame us for the consequences of this. I simply want to say that we will not be swayed, I will not be swayed, by this blame game” (Press statement by Michel Barnier following this week’s round of negotiations, 08.06.2018).

The UK have stop sending their hob-knobs across Calais and send someone with a little common sense. They must be embarrassed, the people of United Kingdom should be shocked and in awe. Because their politicians are continuing to their future and their opportunities for a ride. The Tories Government should deliver safe customs union and policies, which fit with their new role with the EU. Instead, they are thinking it be worked out in the near future. United Kingdom and their businesses should worry about this, hard border because of laziness and lack of delivery to the negotiating team.

The only one losing big is the UK and not the EU. The EU are asking for certain things from the UK. Which the UK doesn’t even have and that puts the EU into a positions, where they have to make a HARD BORDER. Because their rules will not be changed by a outside entity like the UK. Peace.

Opinion: G6+1 Dumb-ass!

What have we learned this week? That President Donald J. Trump is douche, a spoiled brat in a toy-store and not understand the G7 Summit. He the one that does stuff and makes things off on the spot. He might be able to trick foolish inbreed rural Americans, but the whole wide world; he cannot trick like that. Especially not career leaders like the ones participating in the G7 Summit in Canada.

The other nations was prepared to write a statement without Trump. The other world leaders at the summit are Angela Merkel, Justin Trudeau, Emmanuel Macron, Donald Tusk, Jean-Claude Junker, Theresa May, Shinzo Abe and Giuseppe Conte. This is leaders from Germany, Canada, France, European Union, United Kingdom, Japan and Italy.

That means that Trump has insulted the world and he doesn’t care about his allies. Trump has shown it. All in his tweets and his actions. That he didn’t have the ability to sign a communique that rest was favorable of signing. Trump wanted to isolate himself, he acted like a douche, came late to meetings, came late to the G-7 and also left early. Nothing with this man shows respect of the allies. He also came with demands to other before arriving. To add another member, without any clear reason, like it was a bidding he had to do. Because he had promised his friend Vlad before the Summit.

The Charlevoix G7 Summit Communique states this concerning trade:

We acknowledge that free, fair and mutually beneficial trade and investment, while creating reciprocal benefits, are key engines for growth and job creation. We recommit to the conclusions on trade of the Hamburg G20 Summit, in particular, we underline the crucial role of a rules-based international trading system and continue to fight protectionism. We note the importance of bilateral, regional and plurilateral agreements being open, transparent, inclusive and WTO-consistent, and commit to working to ensure they complement the multilateral trade agreements. We commit to modernize the WTO to make it more fair as soon as possible. We strive to reduce tariff barriers, non-tariff barriers and subsidies” (Charlevoix G7 Summit Communique, 09.06.2018).

This part of the Communique is in direct challenge to the sudden move of Trump to impose trade-sanctions on these nations that he meet days after. That is really a bold move to impose tariffs on aluminum and steel. Certainly, the nations who got this will impose tariffs on the US produced products to counter measure. Clearly, the trade-war is created in the mind of Trump. So this will affect ordinary civilians world over and not the wealthy. They usually get away with this. Maybe, that is one of the foolish reasons for Trump passing his chance of being loyal to his allies. That he couldn’t be friendly or even be reasonable.

That is why he is isolationist and a dumb-ass, the losers isn’t the world, but United States. The US Government are really trading their favorable position and making their situation worse. The lack of tact and diplomatic spat with allies. Trump is really an insensitive lying ass-hat who should know how to carry himself. Instead he lies about Trudeau after the Summit. He is putting himself in the spotlight and acting like a TV-Star. Not as a representative of the US. That is why he is losing for himself and for his Republic.

It is weird, but instead of showing strength or greatness, he is showing weakness and lack of finesse. This was a G6 Summit with an added dumbass!

Trump, you we’re able to fool America, but your not able to fool the world. Peace.

Joint Communique on the Occasion of the State Visit to the Republic of Uganda by His Excellency Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (08.06.2018)

Opinion: Could Meles Zenawi’s 5 Point Plan be the solution for the border dispute between Ethiopia and Eritrea?

The most fundamental problem is not that we don’t have a system to run but those with knowledge are cynically manipulating the system for petty personal desires.”Nilantha Ilangamuwa

The late Meles Zenawi, wrote a small 5 Point Plan in 2004, which he delivered to in a letter to the United Nations. This back dates to 25th November 2004. Since yesterday, the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Defence Force (EPRDF) was talking again about respecting the Algiers Agreement of 2000. Which states that certain colonial boarders should be respected and meaning that Ethiopia should pull back their forces from the contested territories.

But if the Council of Ministers, the Executive Committee of the EPRDF are serious about the news of respecting and following the Algiers Agreement. That means movement of troops and stop the time of certain annex land, which Eritrea claims as theirs.

However, to that smooth after all the transgressions, prolonged skirmishes and distrust between the brother-lands, the Eritrean and Ethiopian counterparts could maybe use some of the wise words of Zenawi. Who made a formula, that could be useful today. It is 14 years since he wrote it and sent his preposition to the UN. Still, the words can still carry its weight.

Has hereby adopted the following five-point peace proposal.

1. Resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Eritrea only and only through peaceful means.

2. Resolve the root causes of the conflict through dialogue with the view to normalizing relations between the two countries.

3. Ethiopia accepts, in principle, the Ethiopia-Eritrea Boundary Commission decision.

4. Ethiopia agrees to pay its dues to the Ethiopia-Eritrea Boundary Commission and to appoint field liaison officers.

5. Start dialogue immediately with the view to implementing the Ethiopia-Eritrea Boundary Commission’s decision in a manner consistent with the promotion of sustainable peace and brotherly ties between the two peoples” (Meles Zenawi, 24.11.2004).

This here would put them all at the table and be sincere, as a closure of the pro-longed conflict. The long standing issues between the nations. That would be healthy, as the state would resolve the matter in a peaceful manner and conduct it with some finesse. No one loses with sort arrangement. It will would be helpful, as the distrust between them are there. Both parties has reasons for it, as ever since the agreement and agreed boundaries. Both parties has taken to arms now and then. That is why the ideas of Zenawi might make sense. So that the nations can settle it and actually respect each.

That is needed, especially if this isn’t another PR Stunt from the EPRDF. Then they need to take the positive steps and show signs of improvement. Also, actually talk with the Eritrean counterparts. If not, this is all just a mess. To try to gain sympathy for a positive cause. That would be really disgraceful. Peace.

Opinion: Appointing Museveni to mediate anywhere, was bound to go nowhere!

The situation in Burundi, just like the one in the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan can’t be dealt with overnight. Anybody expecting a quick fix is dreaming” – Dr. Okello Oryem

Recently during this week, the Minister of State for International Affairs Okello Oryem has said this. It is very revealing of the arrogance and the stature of the talks, the dialogue and the works done by the Ugandans in the conflicts where the East African Community (EAC) has appointed President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to be the mediator. I never had faith in Museveni and to this day, I haven’t been wrong about that. Nothing has changed in South Sudan or Burundi, where Museveni is suppose to help changing it and get into a peaceful process. Instead it is more and more volatile.

What the grandest problem with having Museveni as mediator in South Sudan, is that his army is delivering weapons and ammunitions to the Sudan People’s Liberation Army, the SPLA and the SPLM/A-IG. They are serving the government with weapons and the technical training, while they are supposed to be there and secure the negotiations to a peaceful place. That is playing with fire and expecting to have the ability to drown it too. Your providing the opportunity for the government to continue to battle the opposition, while being a party at the table negotiating the possible peace agreement. That sounds like a bad mix of sources and interests at play. Museveni should clearly, just be a weapon brother and not a mediator. Someone who isn’t involved in delivering weapons to South Sudan, should mediate and not someone who serves guns to President Salva Kiir Mayardit. That is just wrong and has self interests in prolonging the conflict. He get to trade more weapons and ammo to the government there.

While in Burundi, the Inter-Burundian Dialogue has been directed by the President. A President that helped his fellow President to return in 2015 after a tried Coup d’etat and demonstrations against his third term. That led into bloodshed and also continued oppression of the dissidents inside Burundi. Where the dialogue haven’t materialized into anything, while the ruling regime has held a new referendum and now secured legality of Pierre Nkurunziza to to rule into 2034. Which is insane, when he entered into power, he was only allowed to have two terms, but he has changed the laws just like Museveni.

President Museveni hasn’t stopped the Burundian President and his control of the dialogue, deciding who could participate and when it could happen. Nkurunziza and his administration has totally muffled the Tanzanian chief talker Mpaka. Therefore, now that he has been part of this since 2015, as the African Union, United Nations and East African Commission have all said Museveni should do this. But they never gave him a proper mandate or done anything if Nkurunziza didn’t listen. They sent some police officers and observers at some point after 2015, but nothing has materialized.

Therefore, seems more like Museveni has been appointed and is lucky to shield his friends. Looking like he makes talks, but stalling for times. While both parties in South Sudan and Burundi are allowed to get rid of opposition, they are allowed to get weapons and use scare tactics to get rid of enemies. While he looks at in sometimes blaze some strong words. But Museveni will not act upon it, as they will do talks in secret and secure that Burundi and South Sudan get what they need. To keep the leadership, which is friendly to Museveni. Not to its people, but loyal to him. So he can be the big-man in East Africa. Peace.

Opinion: Trump impose tariffs on Steel & Aluminum from the EU, another proof that the world cannot trust the US anymore!

The world doesn’t need enemies, it already have Trump, President Trump. He doesn’t care and shows no tact, no mercy and no sort of dialogue. That is proven again. Now that he has over night decided to impose tariffs on Aluminum and Steel from the European Union (EU). It is like Trump wants the US to be alone in the world. That is what he is getting closer to every single day.

When your not making sure the friends of United States gets to trade with reasonable tariffs, then who do you let do that? Why does the United States think they are so special that they can hit another continent like nothing. This is just like they pulled out of the Paris Agreement on the Climate, as the US don’t want to part of the global fight against climate change. We also seen the US has pulled out of the Iran agreement, making things worse in the Middle East. That is done while the US Embassy was moved to Jerusalem and weapons delivered to Saudi Arabia. This is all decisions that makes the world more fragile and hits the nerves of the regions.

Now, the EU is imposed tariffs, which are done because of Trump’s imaginary vision of supremacy, instead he is losing end. As people knows with every day, they cannot trust the United States. Even Angela Merkel said that during April 2018. There is more and more proof, that the world cannot trust Trump and the US Government. It is erratic and unstable, it is a house of cards.

President Trump policies are short-sighted and without vision of consequences. The US will not salvage this industry, this will just make the products made with this more expensive before the industry get better sights and hired more educated people to work in the industry. You cannot just build steel mills over night and nether have the educated engineers like that too. This isn’t making copyrights on random products, this is actually producing and making them.

I don’t think that Trump knows this, he thinks of ancient ways and wants to be Cesar and rule everything without any consequences. But Trump should know that the EU will react to this, they will put reactionary tariffs on products and American goods valued the same as the industries they hit in the EU. So that the different partners are making sure the Americans get to feel it too.

The US should know, that all of this doesn’t make friends, but more people looking at them and mind boggling thinking. The US Government, we cannot trust or really count on. They are just using everyone and making sure the rest is hit. While the US wants to get away without any responsibility. But the reality will hit them, when the EU answers with imposing tariffs on US goods too. That would be a natural reaction. Hopefully hit a nerve with the President and his allies. Since that was what the EU planned in the past to answer it.

Let’s see how this goes. But it is not a good look. Only making things more hostile and letting the world know. The US cannot be trusted, they are misusing their position and will only make the global diplomacy harder. Peace.

Opinion: Is the White House for Sale?

This is a question that the Americans should ask themselves? Because, I am wondering as a foreigner, if my Kingdom doled some funds on Jared Kushner or on Ivanka Trump’s bank-accountants. Would  the Foreign policy will change because of that? That is a important paradigm shift from the Trump Administration.

Other, then being supportive of horrific migration policies towards immigrants and the ones who has liven there for generations, because it is only White America who deserves to live in the United States. The rest just living their and squatting there for time being. That is the memo the White House is sending out recently.

However, are the for rent signs on the lawn in front of the White House? Are there ads on Craigslist? Or is there unknown LLC that are in connection with the White House and delegates the newly operations from the Trump Organization abroad. As the Trump Organization and Kushner Companies continues to operate more abroad, getting loans from Qatar and Saudi Arabia. If not getting dozens upon dozens of Chinese Copyrights, while trying to build Hotels and Golf Courses all around the world.

Is this how the arrangements are done now? That you shake hands, trade-off deals with foreigners to companies in connected with the Trump Royal Family and then let-off the hook of the Nation in question. So if the need the US Army, the US Trade or lifting of sanctions, that will be softer after signing of deals with Ivanka or Jared. Because the Foreigners will deliver them a few silver coins, if their sanctions are lifted or trade of state companies get a better deal with the US; Because they gave some little money to the White House Royal Family.

The royal family, which is allowed to be revised over 40 times and as they didn’t follow procedure for their forms. Still to get security clearance and all the perks of the White House. This is happening as they are still enlarging their pockets and trading away their value at the Public Office. They are really playing high stakes with the Republic.

It is like they can buy and trade policies now, the foreign interference is evident and the change of narratives comes quickly, especially if the ones in this Trump Administration gets a pay-off. If there is need in a government agency, if the lobbyist or company needs changes of policies.

Remember pay someone off, especially pay off the Trump Family and relatives, then you get the princess and the whole kingdom. They are easily giving way, as long as the profits are returned and delivered to a random company of the Trump Organization. If it is money laundering or any other operation. As long as the Trump businesses get their cut, they don’t mind, that is what they do.

The White House is for sale, a giant haul sale and the evidence is in every story published, as the days go. I wonder how much does it cost to get them colluding with the Russians? Because surely that had a initial price. Surely, cost more than a box of crisps and a trademark in China. Peace.

Brexit: FYI – Barnier explaining “the Brussels Effect”!

This should be for some a deja vu’ for others, its rewind and for some the same old story. But as long as the Tories and the Her Majesties Government, the United Kingdom have worked upon the withdrawal from the European Union, the UK has come with false prophets and false narratives. The Tories and Prime Minister Theresa May, have either been blindsided or not understood the ramifications of their will. They are departing or divorcing as you will, they will not be in the same sort of relationship after leaving the EU. That is just natural, that isn’t significant. Everyone understands that, especially when the UK want specialized rules and regulations, while picking and mixes as they please. However, there are protocols and regulations, that is how the Union works. So that all parties knows what they are getting and what boundaries the external nations, whose not members has to comply to. That is also natural. Therefore, Michal Barnier has now talked an example recently showing the perspective of the EU towards the Brexit and that should hurt the pride of the British!

The General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR – came into force yesterday. According to the United Kingdom’s position first presented – and published – this week on data protection: ‘The United Kingdom would like its supervisor to remain on the European Data Protection Board, created by the GDPR. It wants to remain in the one-stop-shop. It believes that this is in the interest of EU businesses’. But let’s be clear: Brexit is not, and never will be, in the interest of EU businesses. And it will especially run counter to the interests of our businesses if we abandon our decision-making autonomy. This autonomy allows us to set standards for the whole of the EU, but also to see these standards being replicated around the world. This is the normative power of the Union, or what is often called “the Brussels effect.” And we cannot, and will not, share this decision-making autonomy with a third country, including a former Member State who does not want to be part of the same legal ecosystem as us” (Speech by Michel Barnier at the 28th Congress of the International Federation for European Law (FIDE), Lisbon, 26 May 2018),

That the British should worry about this, because what he is saying, is that UK will not have decision making power or have the influence that they used too. That is because the UK is not longer a member, but acting as a Third Country. All of this has been known, but the UK has acted like they can do as they pleases and act as they want. They can get their will and their dreams, they can pick out of the sky and candy-corn and unicorns will appear within White Hall. As ordered by the DUP and all the others friendly Brexiteers, who expect the world to land in their lap and praise their works.

However, that is not how the world works. Even if the UK thinks so, as they have their empire in mind and think they still rule the world. They are the ones leaving and has to comply to the set of rules, they are not able to change the body or the regulations put in place. They will be less significant and have less of influence on the matters, as they are becoming the outsider and not the insider anymore.

I know that is hard for someone to understand. That is breaching their momentum, that is shaking their world and their whole belief system. Nevertheless, the UK will have to comply as a third country, they are not insiders who has the ability to make decisions for the EU.

Brexit has consequences, they either have to comply or find other partners, they have to follow the standards or be island left alone. That is what Barnier is saying, because Brexit will feel the Brussels effect. Its been known about all along.

It is just the Tories and Theresa May who hasn’t understood the memo. Can someone teach them, before its too late? Peace.

Communique on the meeting between the Chairperson of the African Union Commission and the Prime Minister of Somalia (27.05.2018)
