Opinion: Nene Nhanhla has fallen – He is the first of plenty!

If President Cyril Ramaphosa thinks that this will let him of the hook. He is color blind to the efforts and the misuse of power, which was done in the time of Jacob Zuma. Zuma and his cabinet, many, plenty of the Ministers and Members of Parliament was connected with the Gupta’s. It wasn’t only Nene Nhanhla who visited frequently and had connections there. Therefore, the State Capture Inquiry and Commission will dig into more dirt, than the African National Congress (ANC) really wants to reveal. They might even stumble on the humble, even to the people the President doesn’t want to touch.

This because the Guptas and Zuma’s spoiling of the state, their grand corruption wasn’t minor efforts or limited to a few fellow parliamentarians and ministers, no it was on all levels from Local Government to the National Assembly. That is why, Ramaphosa should be worried about all the ones in the sphere of Gupta’s, as they were plenty and more big-shots will have to resign.

That Nene Nhanhla resigned earlier this morning today, but Tito Mboweni was called yesterday to be confirmed as the new Finance Minister. This shows again, just like in the Gupta inspired cabinet changes, there are something fishy going in the ANC. They are trying to play it out and make Nene the fall guy, but they are badly executing it, as their timeline doesn’t even make sense.

We can wonder what will happen to David “Des” Van Rooyen, Pravin Gordhan, Jeff Radebe, Jonas Mcebisi and Blade Nzimande. These are just a few brief people that could be under fire for the same reasons as Nene and their close relationship to the Gupta’s. As this wasn’t something that happen in the deep shadows in a thief’s den, but in the chambers of government and meetings at the compound of the Gupta’s at Saxxonworld in Johannesburg.

Therefore, we should expect more people coming forward, maybe even striking ones, that will also show their greed and will to loot for quick cash. Greed always brings the worst of people, no matter how noble they seem. The opportunity for easy money to pocket comes and when foreign investors gives way. They might have said “Yes”, especially when they looked up to Zuma and so no chance in hell of paying any costs of these money. Not like it looked like a possible investigation or summons for their actions.

However the tide changed and now the uncovering is happening. Nene is not last, neither the biggest. If they are really following the money and the power who gotten eaten by greed. They will cover more people, than Ramaphosa might want to let go. As his loyal comrades are wiped out and he will be let alone. Maybe he will even be implicated, as these cases usually spin-off in all circles, as the bounds of dirty money ends everywhere and on any plate.

Nene is not last, unless this is their fall-guy to wind the investigations down. Peace.

Opinion: 24 Red Napkins of Stupid!

Today, there is real reports that ASP Godfrey Kutesa of Kabalagala Division in Kampala, the local police raided the home of the Edith Byanyima, the sister-in-law of Dr. Kizza Besigye. Clearly, they we’re there after some serious report. However, what they confiscated is just ridiculous, they confiscated 24 pieces of clothes or napkins of Nytil Materials from the woman.

This is just silly, stupid or random raid of nothing. What violation does the red napkins do? What reasons was there for the warrant and the raid of the woman?

The Police wrote on their note, that the resident owner declined to sign the search warrant, but why should she?

What laws was the violations of, as that would been nice of the Police to say?

Was in the violation of the Red Cross Act of 1964? Which is still in-force and was it illegal use of the Red Cross emblem, which by law is sanctioned it and has been since 30th July 1964?

It is not like she was organizing anything with those napkins or had plans to stage an uprising. Not like these napkins was weapons of mass destruction or even carrying nuclear warheads, than I would understand that the Police acted so swiftly. Even if she had monopolized army guns and ammunition, I would have understood it. If she had tried to throw stones at the luggage vehicle of the President up-country. I would have understood, the need to take the napkins. However, Byanyima haven’t done anything of this and just proves the unjustified attack on her privacy and her home.

The National Resistance Movement and Police Force is really acting foolish. She was not in violation of the Public Order Management Act (POMA) or even breaking any criminal conduct. As they just raided the home of her, because they have the power and because they couldn’t find anything that matters. They picked the red clothes or red napkins, because of the rising tide of the People Power Movement, which is symbolized with red.

What we really know is that ASP Godfrey Kutesa needs a civic lesson or even understanding of policing, because what he did today wasn’t that. Today was intimidation and trying to attack the ones close to a defiant family. That is what went down. Association with Besigye was enough reason, not even legal or deeming facts of crimes. That is why they confiscated red napkins…

Peace.

Senate President Tito Sotto: How old is really thirteen?

And that question is: ”How old is 15, really?” No, that’s a good question. I’m not saying that a person is as smart as they’re gonna be at 15. That’s not what I’m saying, man. But I am saying, 15 to me… is old enough to decide… whether or not you want to be pissed on. That’s me. If you can’t make a decision like that by the time you’re 15… then just give up, motherfucker, because life is way harder than that” Dave Chappelle from ‘For What it’s Worth’ (2004)

I know that Dave Chappelle isn’t a politician, but he is a comedian. But I had to start with him, as this here piece will be about age. Because suddenly now Senate President Sotto in the Philippines, wants to make the legal age for prosecution and able to answer for their crimes down to thirteen (13). As of today, it is already fifteen (15). Therefore, the legal age are already low and early to be able to serve time for possible crimes.

I want to ask the politician, if he could change the legal age for other things, as they should not only have possibility to fine, detain and prosecute the youth, but also other things. Because, why is it just the negative aspect and the positive aspect of life that is given to the thirteen year old. Since, if your opening the gates to make them liable, shouldn’t they be able to do more other things too, without concern of the state?

MANILA — Alarmed by the rise in the number of crimes now being committed by minors, Senate President Vicente Sotto III is pushing for the lowering of the age of criminal responsibility to 13 years old. In filing Senate Bill 2026, Sotto noted that criminal syndicates are exploiting the provisions of Republic Act 9344 of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006 by using minors in the commission of crimes” (…) “In his explanatory note for Senate Bill 2026, Sotto said, “Due to the continuing challenge in the implementation of RA 9344, as amended, the aforesaid law must be further amended to lower the minimum age of criminal liability in order to adapt to the changing times.” “This bill will finally give clarity to the true intention of the law. The amendment to the law will institutionalize the criminal liability of teenagers who committed serious criminal offense,” Sotto said. He added that not only was the law abused by criminals but the innocence of these youngsters were deliberately taken from them” (Philippines News Agency – ‘ Sotto wants to lower age of criminal liability to 13’ 25.09.2018 link: http://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1049043).

With this Senate President Sotto, shouldn’t they be allowed to run for any public office in an election? Why cannot even a thirteen year old vote in the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections? In the recent election the youngest ones to vote in the SK in 2018 was 15 years old. Therefore, they cannot elect anyone or be eligible to get public office. But behind bars is fine and dandy. They have to wait to be 18 to be a candidate for Municipal Councilor, 21 years to be a candidate either for ARMM Regional Assemblyman or Mayor/Vice Mayor of City. To get into House of Representatives, you have to be 25 years old or in the Senate being 35 years old. If you considering to run for the two highest offices you have to be 40 years old, this being Vice-President and President. Therefore, the youths of age thirteen can be criminal liable, but cannot ever consider to run for office, not even in their local SK Election.

That is why Sotto, should consider his approach, as he can criminalize these youths, but they have no initial power. While it coming to work, the DOLE Guidelines of 1st January 2018 of work for minors states: “Under Republic Act No. 9231, children below the age of 15 are not allowed to be employed in any public or private establishment except when they work directly under the sole responsibility of their parents or guardian or when their participation in public entertainment or public information is essential. In any of the exceptions, the employer, parent or guardian should first secure working child permit from DOLE before engaging the services of the child” (Philippines Information Agency – ‘DOLE issues new guidelines on employment of minors in public entertainment’ 09.11.2017 link: https://pia.gov.ph/news/articles/1001624).

The DOLE has such strict rules about a minor, which is a thirteen years old individual, as they cannot work without guardians approval or the DOLE too as well. Therefore, when they need this to work together with parents or their approval for work, why can the same individual be criminal liable? Shouldn’t it be automatic to be working too?

So, we have quickly figured out they cannot vote, not be eligible to elected or work unless DOLE gives them permit. Should they still be able to become outlaws and get a criminal record? Really?

Just to put it further to prove the dire need to question it, is that a person between 18 to 21 needs consent of marriage from either father, mother or legal guardian to be allowed to married in the Philippines. So a person, cannot without consent of their parents get married, but they can get legal ramifications for their actions? Have Sotto even thought of all of this?

That is why I am writing this, because it is natural as a youth, a teen starting life, not fully matured or even considering of the implications of your acts. Shouldn’t be able to do all adulting first, before you get cost of being grown. However, the Senate President thinks otherwise.

Therefore, Mr. Sotto, should you allow them to work, married or even be eligible to get elected into office? Since you propose them to be criminal liable. If they can get punished by the state, shouldn’t they get all the opportunities of the state as well. Peace.

Russian Probe: Manafort plea guilty!

Just as you thought this couldn’t get better for the United States Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Today, the former Trump Campaign Manager and long time lobbyist and political operative have now pleaded guilty today. He is in a long line of former Campaign workers and also Trump Associates who has pleaded guilty and begun to co-operate with the Russian Probe.

Paul Manafort are following Gen. Michael Flynn, George Papadopolous, Richard Gates and Michael Cohen. Therefore, many of the ones involved in the Trump Campaign have now said their was guilty of crimes of various sorts. George Papadopolous and Alex Van Der Zwaan have both served time or even serving it, as Manafort is the only one, who is already been charged on several counts.

Now, we have these people all pleaded guilty and their roles was Trump’s Personal Lawyer, Top Campaign Aide and former Campaign Manager. This is clearly a giant signal to the ones saying, yet again there was no collusion or nothing criminal done by the Trump Campaign. As yet another big-shot , have pleaded guilty. It is a big list, when Manafort, Flynn, Papadopolous, Gates and Cohen.

What the documents are saying today, are that Manafort plea agreement, which says he was guilty of Conspiracy against the United States, violation of Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and second charge of conspiracy to obstruct justice by tampering with witnesses. These criminal charges was waivered because of the plea agreement. What is added injury, but also done to show cooperation, is that he had forfeiture assets and real-estate, as the state has taken this from him.

We knew that Gates would drop the needle and show the background for the business operation and the Foreign Agent work of the Manafort. We can wonder what Flynn has delivered to the state and produced to them, what Papadopolous has done as well. As well, as Cohen whose cooperating too will surely add more flesh to the bones.

This investigation has peeled the onion, piece by piece. That is why finally Manafort has pleaded guilty too. He knows that there would be more damage in the next trial after the first one, where he found guilty of certain charges already. Therefore, accepting it now before the speedy trial, he is ensuring less jail time and cooperating. But that is also showing a pattern, where we can wonder what is next and what he gives up to get this. We can all assess that there are higher ranking individual that Mueller is getting evidence and tying in all collected all the dots.

Mueller knows more than we do and that is why he is covering the net around the Trump Campaign and making sure every fish is catched and even the big-fish too.

The race to the President continues, but the Witches are apparently everywhere, since they are all getting plea agreements. Peace.
