Opinion: Clinton’s contempt for the some voter’s is nothing compared to Trump!

shoot-hillary

I cannot sit on the side-line while the Republican Party, their Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump and his loyal cadres are dismissing the ‘basket of deplorable’ comment. That Donald Trump is now saying Hillary Clinton is showing contempt for the American citizens and voters is hilarious. It shouldn’t be because the whole scenario is messy and clearly what extent this election cycle has boiled down to.

The Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton gets slammed for this, righteously so; still she can justify her comment as there are connections to vicious groups and ideas that Donald Trump never has tried to take a stand against. Donald Trump loves praise and the men and woman who praises him is great people, while the ones criticizing him are the worst and with time there is a few. Even former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has called him a “con-man” and he is not alone. So Trump doesn’t say nice things anymore about the billionaire Bloomberg.

trump-quote-mexico

Trump has called Clinton any name you can mention. The Man has never showed any tact or humility. He has called Mexicans of people rapists. Trump wants to ban Muslims because of their faith. Build a wall to stop immigration from Mexico. Trump has claimed an Indiana judge to be Mexican therefore he couldn’t make a valid decision in his court-case. When asked about it and if an African-American judge wouldn’t judge correctly if they got a one of his court-cases.

Trump has said that John McCain wasn’t a War-Hero for being captured, because you aren’t a hero if you are captured. Trump got question by the Khan’s, the Gold-Star family who he answered with: “Mr. Khan, who does not know me, viciously attacked me from the stage of the DNC and is now all over T.V. doing the same – Nice!” So it’s nice to bark and hassle with the families that lost their sons and daughters for the safety and believing building buildings and businesses – thinking that is sacrifice comparing that to the families that sacrifices the most sacred thing they have with their own family members.

Trump has claimed that Clinton’s have killed people in 1980s and used the Clinton Foundation wrong. While he has used the mafia to build his Trump Tower and also used his own foundation to buy a Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi right before the AG of Florida wanted to join the New York AG to act upon the case against the Trump University and that fraud case. The Trump Foundation paid right before the case got cancelled by the AG. Just a coincidence in the world of Trump… While the Trump Foundation has been caught paying for private time with Tennis Player Serena Williams and Personal Painting of himself. That is something Clinton Foundation wouldn’t do, no matter how shady the business of Clinton Foundation are.

donald-trump-blood-wherever-super-169

Trump shouldn’t say that Clinton has contempt for voters and American citizens. She even apologized and said there we’re attempt of connected with deplorable ideas and people in the camp of Trump; which is true and cannot be dined. Trump hasn’t apologised, he never really apologised to Fox News Megyn Kelly who had “blood out of her wherever” when she was asking hard question at a Republican Debate. The interview after was more slick nonsense than actually manning up for the chauvinistic words from Trump.

Writing these words about his racial and unworthy words is sadly to easy, there are too much to capture. The Breitbart Steve Bannon also has a past and has now taken over for Lewandowski and Manafort. The Trump campaign will be even more Alt-Right, more despair and less hope as the making “America Great Again” hitting the ground and not really running.

The fearmongering and alternative political crass bitchiness of Trump will continue as he even more than once claimed Clinton using the “woman card” like it was Monopoly and that we’re the only card to avoid jail. The unserious and determined Trump continues to brashly attack Clinton. When he shouldn’t address her for words against his supporters; that is just ignorance. But the crowd of Trump is ignorant filled with many Racists, White-Supremacists, Birther’s movement and so on.

Trump is holding all the other ordinary voters and citizens with contempt for how he has flip-flopped and how he doesn’t release vital information while proclaiming former candidates for the same actions. That he doesn’t have the courage to release the IRS Tax Returns or even a real statement from a Doctor where things are not all positive. Trump doesn’t have it in to act real or being honest a reason why Bloomberg and his business-connections in New York is calling Trump a ‘Con-Man’.

bloomberg-trump-quote

Trump has tried to Con people before, he did it with Trump University, Trump Mortgage, Trump Institute, Trump Network and so on. So many licenced projects where he has stifled people and reasons why he has over 3000 court cases; he has in the past not paid contractors, not paid salaries and not paid fees. The business Donald Trump even got caught up in case where he was trying to licence his name on clothes to two different companies and trying to get away with it. Trump has done whatever he can to Con money, because his business savvy mind cannot be perfect when he gets bankrupt again and again in all kind of businesses: Magazines, Casino’s, Building Projects and even Stakes.

The Donald has done his deeds, but has never manned up for the all the people losing their jobs and putting their trust in his name as a business-person. All the investors and all the small-time proprietors who has had faith in the man over the decades has lost monies and he has settled paying back scraps. That is the way he has done his business and with gold letters and mahogany in his hallway.

Donald Trump has not showed tact and humility, not asked for forgiveness for his harsh words and contempt of intelligence in the American population. Trump has expected that his simplistic ways and headline whoring would overshadow the lack of honour and care for somebody else than himself. So when he today says Clinton has contempt for the American citizens and voters. I shrug my head and wonder what about his words and actions? What about Donald Trump’s constant attitude and attacks on men and woman of all kinds?

If she has contempt for the words of “basket of deplorable”; well it is not just words and words of wisdom more of attack on the campaign of fear and destruction. That is what the Trump campaign consists of, it isn’t of hope and prosperity. Trump’s campaign is fuelled of hatred and painful deconstruction of the American dream. The American Dream and the American Melting pot is turned off, the American prosperity and faith in future is dead in Trumps campaign.

Trump is acting as giant who saves them all, but certain kinds he will deport and get away since they are not American enough. The immigrants and others can be handpicked and gotten rid of. Building walls and using all tricks of the political game to gain tractions without thinking about the consequences. Trump only has main target of feeding himself and his own ego.

donald-trump-african-americans

Trump shouldn’t ask Clinton to retract her statement. Clinton should ask Trump if he could apologize to the American People for the rhetoric, the disgusting campaign of fear and destruction, the dissolution and fantasies he spread like truth. The 9/11 stories, the black-on-black crime states and the clear attacks on ‘Black Lives Matters’ as they are the vicious ones not the Police who shoots unarmed African Americans in the inner-cities.

Trump should show humility and do like Clinton. Ask for forgiveness, not that Clinton wrote a good statement, though it can be justified, because the connections to the men and woman who are clearly racists are there. Still, Trump should do the same and write long list and even kiss the ring. He has used his rhetoric and ways to tarnish his own party members and candidates in ways that is unjust not fair. The ways he has attacked Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz is not desirable anywhere.

Do I believe Trump will ask for forgiveness, hell-NO! If he did would I believe it? No! Still , should he do it? Hell-Yes, but it is not in him. He will not humiliate himself and become a ordinary man because of his sky-high ego created by the talk-shows and interviews for decades where he was allowed to be a kid in the candy-shop. Acting wild in the shop where he never met any real sanction for eating the candy and not paying, because the parents take care of that with the cashier!

pierson-reid-800x430

Trump you are in contempt of voters, of the world and of anybody else who are living in this world. Only the Infowars and Breitbart where their scattered worldview is in stark contrast with the non-Tom Cruise Aliens that exists. The vivid perspective of cautions of clarity would be rare as the comments and dirt will be even weirder in this campaign than normal. Trump will act as always and Katrina Pierson will struggle to defend her candidate on MSNBC and CNN. Fox News will continue to salute their candidate without any questions while Tomi Lahren will spread some “conservative” non-sense and believe that hawks of Texas will defend her honour. Trump will believe that Climate Change doesn’t exist even if it does when it comes to his sea-side Golf-Resort in Ireland.

Trump will not ask forgives because he is in reality the candidate in the United States Presidential Election of 2016 who has contempt for the most people. Trump has contempt for anybody who questions his values, his wealth and his ego. Trump has no faith in people like me who has no-problem to destroy his value and grace. Trump cannot stand people like me who does not feel that is really special… though he is special in the way he could Con himself into the Presidential Candidacy in the Republican Party while the establishment bashed in their own previous attempts of greatness. Trump is special in the sense he can get away with “basket of deplorable” statements all the time, while Clinton has to bury her hatched at once. Even if she has been attacked in vicious and vindictive ways from the Republican candidates and the Republican apparatus all through the Primary Season and after; this might be seen as her big gaffe, but Trump should have let this slide. Because he has done far worse and a mountain of disgraceful things about fellow Americans!

donald-trump-quote-shoot-somebody-super-169

Trump is the one that is showing the Americans, the citizens of United States content with this acts and words, his rhetoric and his campaign as he thinks his fellow Americans accept that the policies and the political framework doesn’t matter. That his opinions and his words of racists words doesn’t have effect. That his campaign that has thrown out African-Americans and also kept them out of his rallies isn’t showing the liability of the contempt for the 1st Amendment. He just care about the 2nd Amendment where he can shoot a fellow on the street and still the fellow supporters would not stop him from doing so. That proves to what extent he goes to get his place. He doesn’t care, he doesn’t and that what is worrying that so many doesn’t see the violent and xenophobic hatred that are in his camp.

Trump, you are holding the United States hostage and holding the United States in Contempt and not taking responsibility for your own actions. It is time for you to do so. Act responsible and man-up. I doubt you will do so, because you can’t and you never have because you repels people like me. I have a hard time to believe you have a conscious and can narrate a story with truths. I haven’t seen it, and never believe I will see it or hear it. You don’t have it in you. Trump you can continue to blame all the problems of the world on Clinton and Obama. Continue and say they even started the Ice-Age and we’re behind the Armenian Genocide. But you will never ever take responsibility and therefore you are showing contempt of all American citizens for the way has acted. Peace.

EFF Statement on Jacob Zuma’s Paying Back the Money (12.09.2016)

nkandla-takealot

The Economic Freedom Fighters notes that Jacob Zuma has paid back the money as directed by the Public Protector and the Constitutional Court. The EFF welcomes the indisputable fact that they money was paid because of the EFF’s insistence and persistence that the remedial actions of the Public Protector must be complied with.

It was through EFF’s efforts and relentless struggle that Zuma paid back the money on the undue benefits he received through the largely corrupt construction of his private residence in Nkandla. The EFF’s work on anti-corruption and undue benefits to politicians should be celebrated by all South Africans because South Africa’s fiscus has additional money from Mr. Zuma.

The anti-corruption work of the EFF should be celebrated because it took our Organisation 2 years to stop the Nkandla corruption, whilst others had failed for many years. The anti corruption work of the EFF should be celebrated because the ruling party continues to harbor and protect corruption.

South Africa should celebrate the fact that no one under constitutional democracy is above the law, and that even a parliamentary majority should exist within the laws that govern our society. The ANC has demonstrated throughout the Nkandla debacle that they do not respect Parliament and the Laws that govern our country and will do everything to undermine the Constitution.

The EFF defeated defenders of corruption, the ANC, which unanimously defended Zuma and protected him from being held individually accountable. Now that the money has been paid, the EFF will seek legal advise to establish whether Mr. Zuma should be held criminally liable for being a recipient of criminal proceeds, since he has accepted that he unduly benefited. The EFF will do this because in the immediate aftermath of the Public Protector report on Nkandla, we opened a criminal case against Mr. Zuma in Sunnyside police station and we still hold the view that there was a certain degree of criminality in his actions.

The EFF will also seek further clarity on the main source and principle that led to a Mutual Bank (VBS Mutual Bank), which is supposed to benefit ordinary people in Vhembe, granting a loan to Mr. Zuma. We will do so to prevent a possible situation where monies are illegally moved in protection of one individual, whom the Constitutional Court said should be individually and personally liable for the non- security upgrades.

The EFF will also write to the relevant authorities, particularly the National Prosecutions Authority and Special Investigations Unit to follow up on the progress made in recovering the money that was overpaid to suppliers in the construction of Mr. Zuma’s private residence.

At all times, the EFF will remain consistent in the war against corruption because corruption is slowly but surely destroying South African society and will reverse the gains of political freedom.

IG Kakooza uncovers corrupt behaviour at all corners of Uganda in the May 2016 Report!

Gen Tukumunde Entebbe Dec 2015 - Money Man for NRM

Because of General Election 2016, this one here got lost for me, but not for too long as the Report from Inspectorate of Government that came in 27th May 2016 has some clear issues within Government.

What it indicates is how many civil servants that use their position to gain extra funds and salaries, but also with the knowledge of troubles gaining enough income or salary on time therefore the acts of cheating, grafting and impersonation seem like a way out of poverty and actually just eat for a brief moment. That doesn’t justify thieving, but proves the systemic defaults on its own.

The Government and this IG has business to handle as there are cases in may districts and areas of the Republic only in the last 6 months. This here is just some fragments of the report from the IG. Still, shows the extent of Corruption in the current 30 years of the National Resistance Movement. How President Museveni can be proud of the system he has lead and built over the years. Take a look!

igg-kale-k-july-2015

Breaching of the Leadership Code:

“In one (1) investigation it was recommended that a refund of Shs.3,480,000/= by a leader be made for using a company vehicle while he received transport allowance. A policy guideline on transport and fleet management was also recommended for the institution investigated” (IG, P: 17, 2016).

Lacking funds for the IG:

“Although Government has shown commitment to avail more resources to the institution as evidenced by the IG budget growth from Shs.13 million in 1986, Shs.3.1 billion in 1998 to Shs.35.4 billion in 2013 including donor support, the funding provision under the IG ceiling is still insufficient compared to the operational cost of investigations, prosecutions, verification of declarations and public awareness programmes” (IG, P: 33, 2016).

Government Institutions who hasn’t acted on IG recommendations:

“Alleged abuse of office and fraudulent tendering during the FY 2008/09 by MMC: The Senior Finance Officer/MMC was directed to refund. UGX 3,600,000/= being half of the money misappropriated to IG Assets Recovery A/C in BoU and thereafter present evidence for deposit to the IG failure of which she would be prosecuted in Courts of Law” (IG, P: 38, 2016).

“Alleged abuse of office and mismanagement of a contract to extend council block by Lyantonde district officials: Submit Mr. Christopher Okumu to the DSC for appropriate disciplinary action for advancing Shs.150,000,000/= to M/S Bakaruma Contractors Ltd” (IG, P: 39, 2016).

“Alleged embezzlement of Shs.3,092,691/= meant for villages and 5% for Parishes in the FY 2010/2011 by the former Sub-Accountant Rubaya S/C In Mbarara: The Accountant should pay Shs.3,092,691/= within sixty days to the IG Assets Recovery Account with Bank of Uganda failure to do so will lead to tougher action being taken against him” (IG, P: 40, 2016).

“Alleged abuse of office and mismanagement of funds worth Shs.14,000,000/= by Kazo Town Council: The CAO Kiruhura should submit the Physical Planner Kazo to the DSC for disciplinary action for false accounting of Shs.2,000,000/= and failure to account for Shs.4,096,000/=. The Physical Planner ordered to pay Shs.6,096,000/= to IG Assets Recovery Account within 60 days. The Senior Physical Planner, Ministry of Lands directed to refund Shs.2,250,000/= received for facilitation for the work he did not do” (IG, P: 40, 2016).

“Alleged judicial misconduct and bribery by the Chief Magistrate Ibanda Court: The Chief Registrar Courts of Judicature should submit the Chief Magistrate to the disciplinary committee of the Judiciary for disciplinary proceedings and he should refund Shs.13,154,000/= to the Judiciary” (IG, P: 42, 2016).

“Alleged abuse of office and misappropriation of CDD funds by Busiisi Division Officials: Town Clerk to recover Shs.1,800,000/= being funds for Agahikaine Kibingo group that was put to personal use” (IG, P: 42, 2016).

“Alleged mismanagement and abuse of office by the Headteacher of Rukondwa Primary School in Masindi: Letter issued to Head teacher directing him to refund Shs.470,000/= through Assets Recovery Account being money he misappropriated as Headteacher of Rukondwa Primary School between 2004 and 2006” (IG, P: 43, 2016).

“Alleged forgery and impersonation of a teacher at Nyanja P/S in Rakai District: The teacher was directed to refund a total of Shs.19,579,287/= within 90 days with effect from 13/05/2015 which he illegally earned in salaries masquerading as a teacher who had left the teaching service in 2005/2006” (IG, P:43, 2016).

“Alleged embezzlement of Shs.85,000,000/= from Malaba Town Council: The CAO, Tororo was directed to submit the name of the former acting Town Clerk, Malaba Town Council and currently Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, Tororo to the DSC for appropriate disciplinary action for spending revenue earned from property tax, contrary to section 37 (2) and (3) of the Local Government Rating Act, 2005” (IG, P: 44, 2016)

People arrested by the IG:

“Hon. Abraham James Byandala, Minister without Portfolio: Abuse of office, Influence peddling, Disobedience of lawful orders” (…)”Asiku Ben, Accounts Assistant, Yumbe District Local Council: Embezzlement, abuse of office, forgery” (…) “Kiddu Ssali Bonny, former Chairman LC III, Lukaya Town Council & Luyimbazi James, former Town Clerk, Lukaya Town Council: Abuse of Office” (IG, P: 58 & 59).

People Concluded Prosecution cases:

Wanyaka Samuel, Director Parliamentary Budget Office: Convicted on all the counts and sentenced to ten years in prison. He was further ordered to refund Ug. Shs.822,965,000/= which he stole” (IG, P: 61).

This here is just key aspects of the Report, not the whole one, but show’s how certain levels of corruption are and how it is taken. The smaller ones and the ones that are not important can be questioned and asked for refund. The others are being equitted or using long trial time to hopefully be forgotten.

There in the smaller district centrals and provincial towns where the cases are in North, West and East, but very little in the Central parts of Uganda; which is seem a little bit weird as the Central Government institutions are in Kampala and the teachers and supervisors that are taken to the Inspector General of Government are further in the districts. Not that I can believe the Ministries and Central Government is clean, as this report even at one point claim:

Kalungi Robert, Principal Inspectorate Officer, Inspectorate of Government: Soliciting and receiving gratification; Convicted and sentenced to two years imprisonment on each count” (IG, P: 62, 2016). When even the Government body working to uncover corruption and graft are soaked in it as one of their own are taken doing the deed. Then the Central Government has to have an issue, not only Principals at Primary Schools in Mbarara, but also at Ministry of Sports and Culture.

abim-letter

The pride of the nation is not at stake, this is the ordinary, the normal and expected. The word of warning come and goes from time to time. Still, the validity of these claims is strong and shows the level of corruption. This is surely the same in 2016, as it was the last 6 months in 2015. Even more during the campaign of the NRM and General Election usually flamboyant spending from the Government; this is towards the folks and extent the boundaries of corrupt behavior to get the citizens to drop ballots in good faith.

So we can look forward to the next report if it is censored by the Central Government, that wouldn’t be surprising. So we can see if the IG get the ability to drop more stories or if the creative NRM will hide the corrupt behavior.

The ones coming here is not a good look as the small and minor, even bigger institutions has corrupted and abused their office for their own gain. This is a giant problem and comes from the top that doesn’t serve the civil servants and also often doesn’t allocate the needed salaries on time. That makes the civil servants creative to get the needed funds. The Government of Uganda got work to do, but as long as the NRM and their Mzee leads the realm I am sure there will be more of the same, because that fits him just fine. Peace.

Opinion: The Written Word and Media losing power in our day and age; because of Self-Censorship!

corporate-media-550

Sometimes I wish I knew nothing, was clueless, and didn’t have the curiosity or learning ways of finding the information. Finding the sources and looking out for the ones that really said it and not hearsay.

In this world of constant dropping of instant news that are composed in a tabloid fashion suited to the political belief of either the sponsors, owners and the ones that get clicks. The reality and the true sources don’t matters. The Stories getting copied and bought; they don’t get written the newsagents drop them like a grocery-bag and it flees the hurdles before the shade of dark comes in.

The popularity and the spreading on social media makes the marginal papers, the marginal sources silenced as the big-media houses and conglomerates control the discussion and conversations. The minor ones might have a smidge of control and ones in while find a story or picture, even glimpse of reality that the world needed to know. But the houses are silent if there isn’t a buck in it or the righteous owner doesn’t approve it.

It has to be cleared and corrected made in a way that the population can accept it and the ad-revenue can come, either on TV, Online or in the Press. The grandest of them shows loyalty to the ruling regimes and dances with the Multi-National Companies without questions. Therefore the stories are fitted so the Colgate can be sold while the ruling regime can be smug on the front pages; there might not strict rules for censorship! Still the censorship can be made by company just to sell and the integrity doesn’t matter. The digging and questioning cannot happen as long as the journalist has to think about the owners and their wealth; not about generally praising the governments and the giant companies who subsidize their rule.

The Advertisements and Owners control it, instead of the thought of giving the public the intelligence or the follow-up of stories; unless the leaks nearly have to be addressed. I am so tired of these notices and little margins of stories. The PanamaPapers and others are truly remarkable events that made certain papers look into the conspiracies and into the darker sides of the world. Where even the trails of papers found world-leaders, NGOs and Companies that wouldn’t’ like to be associated with fraud, Tax Evasions and other economic forgery. Still, the Apple Company and Amazon don’t care if they rig their LLC in ways in Europe to systematically not pay what they have due on their profits.

Fox News

Still, the little smidge of barren, the little smidge of proper work or shown as the microwaved cases and the questions for a quick “BREAKING NEWS” as the Senator or MP calls the Network to come to the steps of Court or Parliament to discuss the plenary session on the “Bushwick” Tax; that are for the regulation of growth amongst the bushes. The Bushes that are a problem in the nation; this happens while the media doesn’t question the tenders, the payments and deals made for Oil Drilling and why the Petroleum Commission doesn’t show any signs of transparency towards the companies getting the contracts, the tax they pay on the dollar and the Crude Oil rate for developing the Pipeline. Still, it’s easier just to get a grand quote from the Senator or MP than asking the hard questions towards the Central Government.

The tricks and notion that the Government and Multi-Nationals doesn’t have anything is a lie. They just don’t want us to know as their knowledge and their mechanisms wouldn’t be controlling if we knew. The certain estimate if the Norwegian people for instance the grades that the food-producing companies paid the three great conglomerates (NorgesGruppen, Reitan Gruppen and COOP) for space on the aisles or placements fees directly to the Supermarket Company. Well, this will be kept secret and the agreements are happening in the shadow as the laws and regulations are not steep towards the conglomerates as they are supporting the campaigns of politicians and they doesn’t want to lose their Party funds. They might not say it, but why hasn’t anybody had the clue of curving the power of these companies and their near monopoly on food in the nation?

Well, the media doesn’t care and doesn’t question the powers enough. There certainly exemptions that some tries and somebody does ask questions. But they are wild roses and not common flowers in the gardens as they should be.

Where is these reports and these seldom good ones get lost in the trail of the tabloid and hearsay stories as the click-bait are more commonly shared. The dumbing down and the simplistic words portrayed for the masses. We have to get the media to be more responsible to the viewership, to ask the questions as the dumbing down are happening. As he the journalistic integrity is dying and the media-houses are making easier pieces. Lastly we have to pay for men and woman to dig deep it takes time and doesn’t come for free. The hardcover reports doesn’t come over night, it takes work and persistence. The persistence to find and correct the powers and follow the money takes time. It is a reason if you follow the trail of money, you will find the heart of them. That is because we spend money where our heart is or where our heart desire. The ones that claim otherwise think about how you spend your own monies and cater to your needs. There you have it right?

Evan Mawarire 13.07.2016

Just think about it and the words I am writing. It is just a wild approach into darkness. Because their beacons of hope, but very few. I am just a man who writes what I like and discuss what I see fit and digs into the stories I see needed be or find questionable. If not like with Dr. Kizza Besigye and his campaign where I am a hopeful man who wishes for regime change, and for governments that are accountable and transparent. Therefore I support the man and his cause. The same I does with Pastor Evan Mawarire and others who deserves be credited for their cause of freedom, liberation and justice for their citizens. The Citizens that needs and deserves government that represents their will and their institutions to deliver needed services to the people.

We need them to ask questions; we need them to dig deep and not just what the government want to publicise to make them look good. We need the dirty laundry out… and without a doubt without fear and without being censored for the will of profit, but for the will of common good. I know it is a lot to ask in corporate multi-national media-houses and the governments who do what they can to be embedded with them. This says what state we’re in and what we can do about it. Therefore I poke, to question. Not because I have answers, because I don’t; but because I have the will to question and seek for answers. Peace.

Dr Noah Manyika | I don’t believe that the $15 billion is missing (Youtube-Clip)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahsH2VHI6Lo

Let me cut right to the chase and say to President Robert Mugabe: I am sorry Mr. President, but I do not believe that the fifteen billion dollars is missing. I cannot believe that it is missing simply because you tell the nation that it is. The reality is that fifteen billion dollars does not just go missing. Somebody knows where it is and why it is where it is” (…) “This is a serious matter that needs every Zimbabwean to be seriously exercised about. We are entering a period where we cannot afford not to be vigilant, not to be suspicious of a party that has become accustomed to doing evil” (…) “It is important for the international community to recognize that our minister of finance’s desperate pleas for help do not mean Zanu PF has changed, or that it does not have a plan to foil the will of the people in 2018. It is one thing to be desperate, and quite another to have changed one’s ways” (…) “Like the $15 billion we are asked to believe is missing, we are also asked to believe that this government has nothing to do with the disappearance of Zimbabwe’s sons and daughters like Itai Dzamara, Rashiwe Guzha and others before them” (…) “Countrymen, this is Dr. Noah Manyika from Build Zimbabwe saying: Do not believe a lie. Is there not a cause? #BuildZimbabwe”

Recent Corruption Cases: “if he has a university education, he may steal the whole railroad.”

Roosevelt Cartoon

“A man who has never gone to school may steal a freight car; but if he has a university education, he may steal the whole railroad.”

― Theodore Roosevelt

Thieving never stops through systematic and planned behaviour of state officials and government men and woman who wishes a short-cut to earning the big-bucks. It is an international problem. Again I will, blatantly address recent cases because this is something that doesn’t stop. Because of the greed and wish to be rich, in our time and before people and leaders isn’t happy with an ordinary life; they want to live in luxury instead of in normal household. Therefore they go to the extent of making sophisticated ways of trading and using government funds to steal and corrupt systems on their own behalf. Instead of delivering the service and institutions the citizens are supposed to have gained with this money and taxes. Here are some cases!

the_panathenaic_stadium

Back in time the Olympics we’re also corrupt:

“The fact is that even this Olympic truce often broke down,” says Large. “Famously in 364 BC when soldiers from the city of Elis actually invaded the Olympics grounds in order to retrieve protection rights over the games, that had been taken away from them in the years before. So there was a bloody battle going on right during the wrestling competition” (…) “The Spartans were also a problem,” adds Large. “They had been banned from the Olympics for many years. They themselves thought the Olympics, in any event, were not bloody enough for their taste. But they did show up in the 420s and they got themselves banned once again for extra-curricular fighting.” (…) ““It’s often assumed somehow these ancient Games were purer than the modern ones,” Large concludes. “In fact, if anything they were even more corrupt, perhaps.” (Woolfe, 2016).

“Seven cabinet ministers are reported to be  implicated in the  K577 billion (about $856 million)   financial analysis report of what has been dubbed the Capital Hill ‘cash-gate’ scandal, named after the seat of government” (…) “He added that he had not received any names in connection with the audit query as yet” (…) “Last week I sent Chief Secretary to Auditor General [to get names] b,” said Mutharika, adding that he did not have any name of a minister” (…) “Where they  [media] get the names I don’t know,”he said” (…)“If anybody has got names please bring them to State House, I would like to see them and action will be taken,”Mutharika said after being asked by one citizen during the program  when he will act on the rotten ministers and cronies” (Chiluga, 2016),

Rohee

In Guyana:

“Speaking about perceptions currently enveloping the political atmosphere in Guyana, Rohee said the subject is of importance to any society. “Perception is important in any society. As they say, perception is reality, and I’d like to emphasise that. And we can’t view that selectively; it is a general, universally accepted social and psychological phenomenon, that perception is reality,” he said” (…) “It is not for me to say that. Why should I say that? That is a general perception out there,” (…) “Said he: “They are helping to reinforce that perception; when we were in government and now that we are in the Opposition. And now the government is being driven by media houses to deal with that matter by setting up SARU [State Asset Recovery Unit]. So let’s take it from there.” (Singh, 2016).

Jeff_South_Beat_04.05_(1)_CC

In Trinidad:

“CENTRAL Division police arrested a building contractor on Friday as he attempted to bribe a Local Government councillor who had cautioned him about substandard work on a project in the district” (…) “The Fyzabad contractor was arrested at the office of People’s National Movement (PNM) councillor for California/Point Lisas, Alif Rodney Mohammed, at around 10 a.m” (…) “Mohammed said he was offered a $1,000 bribe to turn a blind eye to shoddy work on a project in his electoral district” (Kissoon, 2016).

tining_1

In the Philippines:

“THE Office of the Ombudsman affirmed the indictment of Cebu Provincial Board Member Celestino “Tining” Martinez III and former Bogo City treasurer Rhett E. Minguez over allegedly irregular release of fertilizer fund amounting to P6 million in 2004” (…) ““As signatories, respondents should have raised reasonable questions on the legality or regularity of the transaction,” said Morales in her order” (…) “The Ombudsman also dismissed Martinez III from government service over the same case” (…) “In 2004, the Bogo City Government received six checks totaling to P6 million from the Department of Agriculture in Central Visayas for the procurement of fertilizer for rice and corn in 2004” (…) “Government auditors, in their 2006 report, said the foundation failed to liquidate the money. COA’s Audit Observation Memorandum also noted that the foundation failed to submit a list of previous projects implemented and that no accomplishment reports were submitted” (…) “State auditors also pointed out that officials failed to make representations with Sikap Yaman for the liquidation of the P6 million, while the Commission on Audit (COA) named the foundation as the supplier of 250 bottles of overpriced liquid fertilizers in Tuburan in 2004” (Dalipe, 2016).

Ukraine Railway

In Ukraine:

“Ukrzaliznytsia Head Wojciech Balczun. He wrote: “We will change railway tickets booking system. Also discussed this topic during the board meeting. Moving in the direction of the elimination of so called “commercial booking”, the huge source of abuse and corruption. Like when it is impossible to buy a ticket while trains are going empty” (…) “The commercial agent should take all risks. In one form or another there will be a reservation for vulnerable groups and government authorities. Majority of tickets for the open!” Ukrzaliznytsia CEO stressed” (Censor.net.ua, 2016).

So as seen now the cases are all over. It is one continuation from before from Malawi as the President are wondering how the Media got the hold of names involved in the greatest scandal with government funds except for the Zambian Maize fiasco. The others are proof of how old the corruption of back to ancient Athens and their Olympics. Also actions in the Guyana, Trinidad, Philippines and Ukraine; so the tales of corruption happens everywhere and showing tales that isn’t the Fox News crap or something else biased nonsense. This is just common corrupt behaviour. And there are always more! Peace.

Kenyatta with a Statehouse Summit on Transport and infrastructure; not a good look for the Jubilee!

State House Summit 08082016

“I understand that everyone in the rural areas, the MPs, the MCAs,Governors and all aspirants are claiming responsibility for any upcoming infrastructural project. They are fighting about who lobbied for what and who talked with whoever and who met whoever……..it’s not a question of who lobbied for any development be it roads, electricity connection, building of schools and many more….it’s a question of giving service to the forty to forty two million Kenyans who pay taxes.Hii Maneno ingine yote haina maana” – Uhuru Kenyatta

President Kenyatta has today a State House summit on transport and infrastructure projects in Kenya under his leadership and the Jubilee Government. That has soon finished their first term in the presidency. They had pledges upon pledges when they went into government.

They wanted to build a giant and fantastic electric quick railway. The Standard Gauge Railway and also develop the Lamu Port through the LAPSSET project with fellow neighbors. The Pipeline of crude-oil from the Northern Kenya in Kerio Valley in the Lokichar Basin to the upgraded Lamu Port; where the Jubilee Government also wanted the Lake Albert crude oil from Uganda to go to. Something that fell through as the licensed companies in Uganda though it was too costly to build through Kenya compared to Tanzania. So the Kenyan Government has to do it on they’re own. As the LAPSSET it is waiting for private enterprise to engage and use their monies on the planned infrastructure.

KAA Changes

The other issues are stadiums not built in regions where it was promised the fields of glory never came. It was easy to promise the district towns a sports facility, but none of them came to fruition. The others developments we’re that from Kenya had 30 Air-strips before Jubilee and by now they have 50 of those. Still, the discussion on the failed development project and upgrade of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) have not been an issue as the embarrassing project it is for the ruling regime and their PR team.

“There is corruption at the port. Find out who among the people in this room are thieves” – Uhuru Kenyatta.

There are always some issues and even after years in power and set change with rule of law. The Jubilee government tends with the same fractured system, the corrupt Mombasa port where the monies that makes all import more expensive and still they haven’t instilled checks and balances to Ports and therefore the extra taxation of the imports happen on a daily basis. As the corrupt mind and bodies continues to thrive with the speaking up against it, but not dealing with it in Parliament or by sanctions of law.

The Jubilee government has dozens of plans and pledges, as much as they have foreign loans to build the projects from the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and the Chinese. The extent of debt collected by the recent new loans has come to 49% of GDP. In April 2016 the Jubilee Government had collected $1.35 billion in debt, while fixing a massive deficit in the Kenyan budget. Still, this is worrying as the debt and interest has to be repaid to the International lenders and development banks which the tab is taken from.

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta (L ) and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping (R) stand together during a signing ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China 19 August 2013.
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta (L ) and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping (R) stand together during a signing ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China 19 August 2013.

This was not discussed at the Summit and where is the money for the development projects coming from as they shouldn’t just surface out of thin air. Just like the roads and rails need wages, plans, dialogue and trade to get built. As the landowners need to be compensated together with the companies building the roads need paid for service rendered. Therefore the business of infrastructure is expensive as the giant projects cost a fortune because they are supposed to stay for long and be kept for decades on.

The same with all the roads not taken care of as the feeder roads of the Northern Kenya, which is left in mud and dust; the focus on three Nairobi by-passes to fix the congestion of the capital. Not thinking of other towns who could need extra bypasses like Eldoret or other where the Jubilee doesn’t deliver the needed infrastructure, except if it is fitting with the border-passes and agreement with nation on the other side who needs roads of exporting through Kenya there. Therefore the Summit is more a PR Show, than proving real progress as the corrupt, the debt and all the other problems are destroying the champion sound and roar from the Jubilee Government under President Kenyatta. Peace.

Opinion: The IEBC dilemma continues even after firing the corrupt ‘band of brothers’ now

gado iebc

The Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission of Kenya is now at a standstill after months of hustling from the Opposition against the Commission and their men. The band of brothers run by the Commission Isaack Hassan have been under fire and besieged as their fate have been questioned by ‘Chickengate’ their involvement in the questionable Burundi third term election in 2015 of Pierre Nkurunziza and all the other issues entangled in the current leadership.

Therefore the reasoning for staying while the Jubilee government under President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto could by law keep the men, even as the trust between the IEBC and the people where in tatters. Still, the viable approach through laws and constitution could let them keep the men in charge and run another election in 2017. Though the perception on the rigging and the embezzlement of government funds would be stamped on the foreheads of the commission as they legacy are filled with CHICKENS. The chickens and facilitation of the ones who bought the ballots and needed electoral equipment for by-elections and other elections who earned extra monies on the transactions; these people shouldn’t be there and they can be compromised by the ability to facilitated to give a counted number instead of real cast ballots, as long as the Commissioner would be given a brown envelope.

The Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) Kenya leader and ODM head Raila Odinga wrote today: “Yesterday, those discussions culminated in a very encouraging development—the expression by the IEBC commissioners of their willingness to resign to allow a new team take over in time for 2017 elections. I wish to congratulate Senators Kiraitu Murungi and James Orengo for the steady leadership to the Joint Select Committee of Parliament that has ensured harmonious and mature discussions which has produced this commendable progress” (…) “I thank all the members of Parliament serving in this committee for putting aside partisan politics and focusing on what really matters at this moment in the history of our country which is the need to have a credible electoral body that enjoys the broad support of a great majority of Kenyans ahead of 2017 elections” (…) “Once the talks began, it quickly became clear that CORD and Jubilee have more in common on the IEBC and how to conduct future elections. This is usually what happens when we choose to talk to each other and not at each other and when we give dialogue a chance” (twitlonger, 04.08.2016).

IEBC-ROADMAP-2017

Also this we’re reported:

“The audit report, which also formed basis of a petition forwarded to the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee by Mr Barasa Nyakuri, blamed the commissioners led by Mr Hassan and part of the secretariat for irregular procurement of the Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) kits for the 2013 elections” (… ) ”Mr Hassan, who has gone to court seeking to have his name expunged from the report, is also alleged to have single sourced lawyers handling the 2013 presidential election petition, in which over Sh380 million was paid to three prominent lawyers” (…) “The select committee has summoned the IEBC commissioners and senior directors at the commission to present their defence before it today, as it works towards finalizing its report within 30 days as contained in the Motion approved by both Houses, which also set its terms of reference” (…) “The committee’s report could be last nail on the coffin of careers of electoral chiefs mentioned adversely in corruption allegations, including the chickengate scandal, and throw a lifeline to those found not to have engaged in fleecing the taxpayers of millions of shillings” (Njagi, John – ‘Team to probe threats on auditor over IEBC report’ 01.08.2016, Nation.co.ke).

As the reports coming in and the mentality of the change is of guards are coming. IEBC had to be changed before the General Election 2017, as the standstill between the opposition and the ruling regime. Still, with these negotiations, that has happen after the dozen of violent demonstrations because of the police brutality.  In this crisis the judgement from the Police and then CS Nkaissery defending their misbehaviour towards the citizens and members of opposition was not just.

Paying Commissioner for thieving:

“Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich said the Government will use cash from the Contingency Fund to pay off the commissioners. “We have contingency funds for such unforeseen expenditure if it does occur,” Mr Rotich told the parliamentary select committee on electoral reforms” (…) “This means that the nine, each earning Sh1.2 million per month, will get Sh372,000 for the five years served, translating to Sh1.86 million per person and Sh16.7 million for the team. The current commissioners are Issack Hassan (chairman), Lillian Mahiri-Zaja (vice chairperson), Albert Bwire, Kule Godana, Yusuf Nzibo, Abdullahi Sharawe, Thomas Letangule, Muthoni Wangai and Mohamed Alawi” (Michira, Moses – ‘IEBC bosses will take home Sh180m 04.08.2016 Link: http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2000210764/iebc-bosses-will-take-home-sh180m ).

Nairobi 16.05.2016 Police P2

The Kenyan Parliament must be proud of how they are promising payment and salaries towards the former Electoral Commissioners who we’re embezzling funds. They are initially getting paid for stealing funds from government and even not being trusted with delivering trustworthy elections. Free and Fair elections under their leadership we’re under question as they actions we’re bent for the ruling regime and as their financial adjustments we’re done to create bigger wallets from the ones signing contracts for the IEBC. That shouldn’t be paid to silence and to get rid of them. As John Githongo we’re sent away from addressing corruption for being a whistleblower, the men behind the IEBC scandal shouldn’t be paid, but be sent to court and express their guilt or be free-men for not having evidence of the illegal transaction.

The CORD had grievances with the Electoral procedure and the Electoral laws, not only the Commissioners who could be bought and secure funds for themselves as the Kenyan Constitutional Referendum or the OKOA we’re shut down by the same Electoral Commission under Commissioner Isaack Hassan. The other just happens to follow his lead and create an atmosphere where this is justifiable.

Who will take over for former-IEBC Commissioners are not easy to foresee as the negotiations and the agreement between CORD and Jubilee is not something a man can find the answers on the skyline. The next IEBC men and woman have to be people that the current MPs and Parliamentarians trusts as they will both parties agree to their acts as a Commission and their turn for holding the election. The reality will be that no matter what they do and who get picked they will be scrutinized and should be accountable. As the previous ones tried to keep people in the shadow and keep the monies encircled for themselves instead of trying to reasonable and honourable men who did their duty for their country. They tried to quick fix their own pockets instead of just doing their job and being content. Isaack Hassan and his band of brothers will be remembered for their chickens, not for their work or the ballots casted in the elections. Peace.

Have hope in #ThisFlag; Still, it’s the darkest before a new dawn in Zimbabwe

santions Mugabe

“Dear Mr President. You cannot stop your sun from setting and you will most definitely not stop mine from rising #ThisFlag” – Evan Mawarire

There is a brewing something sinister in Zimbabwe. As the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (Zanu-PF) under the reign of long-long serving President Robert “Bob” Mugabe are using the Police and army as his prestigious bodyguards for his power.

The economic state of Zimbabwe is weak, weakest of the weak. Wiggling and broken as the civil servants and army personnel haven’t been paid in June and July 2016, as much as the people have been re-engaged in politics as the Zanu-PF elite has been eating. Lynda Masasira have been detained for speaking her mind on behalf of Woman organizations. #ThisFlag Movement Pastor and Founder Evan Mawarire have been taken to court on charges against the state, but a 100 lawyers showed up and the public demanded his release as the day went on; but after the release he fled into exile in South Africa. So the history repeats itself.

Only Morgan Tsvangirai is back home still, as his Movement for Democratic Change; are more and more fractioned. This being said while recently the former aide to Tsvangirai, Maxwell Zeb Shumba officially presented his new party at the 29th July 2016 to launch the Zimbabwean First (ZimFirst) Party.  This happens as the MDC-T party are losing their backing from the people is dwindling; while the people’s faith in Mwarire is showing, as his selflessness and casting of the bitter truth is astonishing. The opposition has a political movement, but not a political party that all men and woman trusts. With the Ruling-regime total control and focus around the family of Mugabe; the ability of paying and splashing funds on Zanu-PF loyalists.

That is been showing in the Vice-President Phelekezela Mpoko living in a luxury hotel for a year and half where he paid $ 1.000 a day at the hotel and that was including meals. This happens as the most of the Zimbabweans are living fewer than 2 US. Dollars a day, to sustain food and shelter; also with the wonderful late-payment of government salaries and other difficulties to get certain import products. The land has also from January to June 2016 been importing from abroad for $1bn. and most of that for agricultural products. That means the former breadbasket of the Southern Africa; needs help to feed their own. President Mugabe must be so proud of his land-reforms.

John-Mangudya-534x400

The Zimbabwean State have in control the foreign exchange rates and control the usage of limited funds, the government at one point suspended certain imports for businesses. But at the same time, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor Dr. John Mangudya saying recently “We are importing foreign currency to pay ourselves instead of paying for fuel and capital goods. That’s inefficiency”. Surely he is spot on, but the grand dictator doesn’t mind because when he celebrates he eats splendid cuisine on the tax-money.

As the state deteriorate, even the most harden loyalists have been attacking the long-term president even been accused of overuse and overstepping his power. The latest is the Zimbabwean Liberation War Veterans Associations (ZLWVA) Secretary-General Victor Matemadanda. Also the ZLWVA spokesperson Douglas Mahiya, these been detained for speaking their mind, which after the President the day before said the War Veterans we’re not patriotic, that meaning not speaking of the deity called Mugabe. He has gone further than that as well: “Ruhanya said Zanu PF’s advertisements calling for former Zipra and Zanla war vets to converge at Zanu PF HQ tomorrow 26/7/16 to support President Mugabe” (…) “From the adverts in state media, it appears clear that G40 led by the President has declared war on the leadership of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association led by Christopher Mutsvangwa. Waiting to hear the views of this G40 group. But the problems raised wont disappear because of this meeting; economy remains dead and the president cant provide the economic and political leadership as he remains captured by wife and a cabal benefiting from Stone Age corrupt practices against the majority poor. Elite discohesion and authoritarian erosion.” (Harare24.com, 26.07.2016).

With the darkness of bewildered state of Mugabe the bitterness of Grace Mugabe as she was shopping in Singapore as the #ZimShutDown was going on in mid-July, as the salaries we’re postphoned again for the civil servants, as the June-Pay had not arrived and seemingly not the July either. Just as today in the Zimbabwe Today reported this:

“Speaker of Parliament Advocate  Jacob Mudenda called on workers  to work overtime and expect not getting paid extra remuneration” (…) “Mudende said this would steer productivity  and ensure companies remain afloat than for them to retrench workers because of low production” (…) “Mudenda ‘s statement is likely to steer animosity among government workers who are disgruntled  over delay in payment of salaries. A majority of workers have of late clashed with their pay masters over unpaid over-time and other benefits” (Zimbabwe-Today, 25.07.2016).  As this came a few days early when the industries and workers we’re expected the same fate as civil servants; work but non-pay. The government promised to rescue with an old cue: “In a media briefing after touring companies in Bulawayo, Industry minister Mike Bimha said companies in Zimbabwe were struggling due to lack of funding and cheap imports from other countries. To counter that, he said the government was working tirelessly to revive the Distressed and Marginalised Areas Fund (Dimaf). “We want to revisit the issue of Dimaf in terms of making it bigger and more accessible. I’m sure we can do that so that we can continue to have companies accessing a little bit of funding and making a difference to companies,” Bimha, who is attending the on-going Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries congress” (Nyoni, Mthandazo, 28.07.2016 – Newsday.co.zw). If this is true, then some of the men might not go without salaries, but seeing are believing… and the government have not been accountable; so why believe them now?

anti-mugabe-protests-in-zimbabwe

With all this the recent days that #ThisFlag continues, the sanctions don’t get lifted and the IMF/World Bank doesn’t give in to the Mugabe Government. Let me end with quotes from Mugabe in an article from Daily News Zimbabwe:

“I want to warn leaders of these churches that are emerging only for the sake of money, the likes of Mawarire that Zanu-PF will not tolerate any nonsense done in the name of religion, that once you begin to interfere with our politics you are courting real trouble” (…) “keep to your religion and we will respect you. We know how to deal with our enemies who have for a long time been itching to effect regime change. We have the means to do that. I say to our  people, when these other small (opposition)  parties demonstrate  out of anger, control yourselves in the knowledge that the police belongs to us so we will ask them to throw them in jail so they can also test life in prison” (Mugove Tafirenyika, 28.07.2016).

This comes from the man who once upon a time in Mozambique wanted to free his Zimbabweans from the tyranny of Smith-regime and was righteous in that claim. But now he does the same in his own actions against his population and calls a citizens and a pastor a enemy who deserve to spend time in jail. That he deserve apparently for asking the government, to actually govern and not only eat the tax-money. The pride of Mugabe and his reign are ending in tyranny on the level of Smith or worse as the liberator knew what he fought against; An with time turned into the same kind of leader as the ones he fought against. The injustice of the past, is the ones of the present; might not in post-colonial treatment, but in honor of feeding the Zanu-PF and the elites, the cronies of the state instead of serving the communities and citizens with decent policies and progress through transparent economic framework. Zimbabwe, the place where the Zimbabweans can trust their government for serving them and not the President alone! For the reason alone that Mugabe says the citizens who oppose his rule can try out prison, because the #ThisFlag is an enemy that the Police would control the nation in the powerful hand of Mugabe.

The sun-might set on Mugabe, but it is not his sun. Even if he has reign the land and the nation of Zimbabwe, it is not directly it’s his nation to own; he has had the power for decades and thinks now it is a God-given right to rule. Therefore the one occupying the country is his subjects, not the citizens as he speaks and his Ministers speak. They expect the citizens to work for no pay, because of the decisions and his will to stay without questioning the implications of his decrees. The Zimbabwe deserves another regime, which actually cares about the citizens, not only the president. The dawn of something new must soon reappear as this regime is becoming more and more draconian. The laws and lawmen are taking in anybody who has a smidge of questionable words against his rule. Mugabe wants the citizens to obey his rule and his Zanu-PF; not for Zimbabwe. Peace.
