Opinion: Mzee you shouldn’t call yourself a parasite

On the issue of the economy, it is moving well apart from sectors like tourism that have suffered. Tourism can resume locally following the SOPs. Factories are moving on apart from the corruption in these institutions. If we get rid of the parasites within us, we can get the vaccine before the whites. I am tired of parasites, “kawukumi” who want something out of everything. To hell with the people who do not care about the country but only themselves” Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (09.06.2020).

It is something rich, well, someone very rich whose blaming others all the time, but is guilty of the crimes he claims others has committed. That guy is President Museveni. He can paint a picture. The President can really set the stage and put words out that you will remember.

However, he has called people Bean-Weevil, parasites before and other deeming things. That is just the nature of the self-styled President of Life. The old man with the hat wants to portray himself as the father of the nation, the pastor and the big-man of the ages. Nevertheless, his foul mouth destroys that image alone.

No real man of faith or sincere man who believes people can redeem themselves and get salvation would call other people insects and vermin. The President does and his continues to do so. What is the most striking is that he does it to people acting like himself.

This wouldn’t be so funny if it wasn’t for his own open bazaar of corruption from the State House. The place where Foreign Investors goes to get a deal made and give him kick-backs. The house where the Presidential Handshakes are done and the sweet sugared tea are offered. The small envelopes with goodies to soften the heart of the old man and ensure the future of his grand-kids. That is what he does and its public knowledge. Maybe not the terms, but that it happens is as likely as the sun is shining.

That is why the words today isn’t inspiring. They are just mean. Just think about it. He isn’t blessing the crowds of the public. Neither is he respecting the fallen heroes supposed to be celebrated today. No, his just insulting a lot of people, including himself. That is a real gift, that keeps giving.

The President should look into himself and his ideas. His ideals and his actions isn’t co-ordinated. They could be, but they aren’t at this point. The President says his against something, but actually does it. We know this and he knows it too. The paper-trail and acceptance of corrupt behaviour usually ends his way. If not he sends a letter calling it costs of operations or a gift to public servants, which they deserve. That is why the big-men and associates whose corrupt isn’t in jail or charged. They are walking free and enjoying the perks in mansions across the Republic.

All of that is also well-known. Not like the GAVI Funds, The Santana’s, CHOGM or whatever scandal you can think of had any casualties. Yes, the Big-Men lost their titles or was suspended from government. When the water was under the bridge, the men who stole and was bribed. They returned to office and good graces. This is why the battle against corruption isn’t believable in 2020.

Mr. 1986 isn’t sincere about this. Than, he needs to freeze his own Switzerland Accounts or whatever tax-haven he has them in. Also, return some stolen funds himself. As well as stolen land and businesses, which he has enriching himself with over the years.

President Museveni I got to tell you something. Even if you are a tyrant and a grand dictator. I still don’t see you as a parasite, but a evil person who uses his office for your own interests. This is why you shouldn’t call yourself a parasite. Your not an insect, but a thinking human being. Whose only fault is that your a junta leader who impose yourself on the same republic since 1986. Peace.

Zimbabwe: A COVID-19 Tender Scandal of epic proportions

If you thought the New Dispensation and the “new” government of the Lacoste branch of Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) or President Emmerson Mnangagwa would make a difference. Than your a terribly wrong, because we’re seeing the same thing happening all over again.

Because the Ministry of Health without tenders bought products from Drax International LLC. Where they had inflated the prices on face-masks from $3 to sell them at $28. Testing kits are sold at $12 and selling them at $34. These where imported from Namibia, where Mnangagwa’s Bodyguard had registered a company. While the son of Mnangagwa, Collins also was involved in this scheme.

The President, his son and his closest associates are involved. The Minister of Health Obadiah Moyo has accepted this and letting this one slide. The Ministry and the President is accepting this deal of $60 million tender, as the prices on PPE and Tests are inflated. Where there are shell-companies, whose addresses and locations are flimsy at best. Either in the UAE or Switzerland, while some say they are connected to Namibia.

It’s even a second company in the mix too, this being Jaji Investments, which ownership I don’t know, but has been reported on as well. This is all the same old, same old. Where prices of imports sky-rockets and the public paying shady prices to associates closely connected the Presidency.

They are using the COVID-19 as a get-rich scheme. Importing needed equipment and testing kits for inflated prices. The Ministry of Health pays it and the ones involved gets massive wealth out of it. This is ripping of the system and the public in general.

They did the same with the Command Agricultural Scheme too. These are just the new people inside the government. That is using all means to get rich and not serve the public. You don’t need sanctions to hurt the economy, when the insiders are looting you from within. Peace.

Opinion: [Don’t be shocked] NRM MPs always eats!

We are living in 2020 and the abolishment of Age Limit still haunts the chambers of Parliament. As the payouts for it is coming to the ones who favoured the Self-Styled President for Life. That all happen a while ago, but the 317 MPs is getting all the love.

Now there is report of a more millions of shillings coming their way. As there was a special delivery of 40 million shillings each. The money was already late and delayed. There is also claims this is for hardship of voting for the motion to praise the “high above”. No matter what, their representation is clearly a pyramid scheme. Where the drips of money comes down to them, when they favour the one on top of the pyramid. After that they are selling his empty dreams to public and hoping no one is understanding the prolonged scheme.

In this regard, they are promised even more, just like they we’re promised more favours too during the Age Limit saga. They were planned instalments for favourable voting. They are anticipated to get another 60 million. When they vote against the NSSF Act. Because, that is how you run a state. Bribing MPs to vote on your whim. So, that they have extra funds to campaign and pay-off old debts. That’s what you do.

These MPs have already allowances, fees and perks to the skies. They are already eating like crazy. This here is just eating of the plate of the public. While the state is taking more loans from World Bank and IMF. They are eating on the borrowed money and hoping this doesn’t hurt the state down the line.

These NRM MPs are just the epitome of greed. They are selling their souls for very little. This is short term gains and will backfire eventually. Onto the up-coming elections, these MPs will use any opportunity to get some money. Because, suddenly they need to fix local schools in their constituencies. Suddenly, they will need to buy rice, soap and small tokens to their constituents. Even pay courtesy to the local radio for air-time. Maybe, even pay some random designer to make posters and gear. That’s what they do.

So, always know. The NRM MPs always eats, don’t be shocked. That’s what they do. They eat and figures out ways to trick the system in their favour. Especially, doing the will of the State House and getting paid for it. That’s why the big-man is stressed, he always have to pay them extra to “get thy will done” as it is in Rwaiktura farm and on Nile Avenue. Peace.

President Museveni letter: The Shs. 20M Diverted from the Government Plan by Parliament (28.04.2020)

Opinion: Omonya forgot the duties of the citizens

Lawyer Rama Omonya failed in his article today in New Vision. As his trying to use the Constitution to point that there is only way to criticize the President and his actions. That the public are only legally allowed to go after the Member of Parliament. This is all because of the 10 billion shared to all MPs as part of the Supplementary Budget

Especially this part triggered me:

Our constitution does not provide the citizens with such profound powers over the executive. The social accountability mechanisms for citizens to hold the Executive accountable only come in a general election after every five years or a referendum” (Omonya, 2020).

I am not a citizen of the Republic, but can read the Constitution of 1995 myself and know there is a article number 17(d) and 17(i), which states:

17. Duties of a citizen.

(1) It is the duty of every citizen of Uganda—

(d) to protect and preserve public property;

(i) to combat corruption and misuse or wastage of public property” (Constitution 1995).

To top it all off, there is article 107(b) which states:

(1) The President may be removed from office in accordance with

this article on any of the following grounds—

(b) misconduct or misbehaviour— (I) that he or she has conducted himself or herself in a manner which brings or is likely to bring the office of President into hatred, ridicule, contempt or disrepute; or (ii) that he or she has dishonestly done any act or omission which is prejudicial or inimical to the economy or security of Uganda” (Constitution 1995).

Yes, that removal can only happen, if there is a motion from the MPs and the Speaker has put forward a tribunal for the inquiry and investigation in the allegations of the President. So, the Lawyer is right on the money there.

Still, if the citizens are supposed to follow the duty, they are supposed to be angry at both the MPs for the usage of 20 million shillings on themselves and cuss out the President for his Classified Expenditure, the State House and the Office of the President. All of these funds needs to checked and balanced. Not only the MPs, unless their duty is only to lower-ranking officials. Which the duties of the citizens doesn’t state. Unless, the lawyer can elaborate that for me?

He also wrote this: “In summary, the citizens have every iota of rights to the bay for the blood of the MPs over the sh10b and it is for the MPs to the bay for the blood for members of the executives who are mismanaging the “other” trillions as our laws dictate” (Omanya, 2020).

It’s the duty to combat corruption and misuse or wastage of public property. This is not based on where it happen, as long as it happens within the Republic. It does not state who is acting corrupt, who is misusing the power or wasting the public property. That is all fair game, if this article has value and not only symbolic. Because, Omonya make it seem that way.

Because, there is nothing stating in the duties of the citizens to only look into the Local Councillors, Mayors or Members of Parliament, but not the President. The duties are very clear and the citizens are righteous to do so. Even if they don’t have direct powers, but they can push their MPs to petition a motion for a tribunal. That would be justified to investigate the classified expenditure and other questionable use of public resources. So, there is also oversight of the President, not only in the General Election like lawyer states. Since, the duties are there as citizens. That should be fundamental. Therefore, the citizens should push on the buttons of the MPs to look into the Executive. Not only call fire for the little burning bush of 10 billion shillings, but also the trillions of shillings in questionable allocations. Peace.

Opinion: Kadaga’s 20 million shillings conundrum

It is hard to see what Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga can get out this situation. She’s defending the 10 billion shillings to Members of Parliament to fight COVID-19 or the Coronavirus. Rebecca has attacked the MPs returning the money. Address Bobi Wine and wanted him to inquired by a Parliamentary Committee for calling it a bribe. They are just rewriting the 20 million shillings.

While the Courts have blocked the transfer of the funds and later gotten an account to return the 20 million shillings. Who knows if the MPs has it or not. Some has given it to charitable causes in their districts. While others who knows what they are spending it on. The 10 billions are surely haunting them and hurting the pride of the Speaker of Parliament.

As Government Spokesperson and Executive Director Ofwono Opondo is attacking the MPs. The President did so in his latest COVID-19 address. They are blasting it, while Andrew Mwenda is defending it. Meanwhile, Kadaga is acting all out. It seems like these funds is saving her home, her livelihood and gasoline of her cars. Since, she’s so defensive.

Speaker Kadaga has acted vile, she is now wanting to inquire and look into the Executive and his expenditure. However, that shouldn’t be threat, but the job of the whole Parliament. Now the puppeteers suddenly show some flex, when their meals and additional pocket-money is suspended or taken away. Not like there isn’t any measures to look into the President. You got the Auditor General, the PPDA, State House – Anti Corruption Unit and whatever else. However, they are not acting upon the man, because they are all appointed by him and having titles because of him.

Kadaga knows this. It might look cool now defending the MPs. 10 billion shillings in the scheme of things isn’t big. Nevertheless, it is the message it sends. The give-away. The misuse of state funds for personal gains. When you can take some sugar-canes from the farm today, tomorrow you can take a goat or cow. You start small and later take the whole land. It is just common greed.

When it is budget 45 trillion in the next financial year. You know 10 billion shillings isn’t all that. But its still important because it shows the intent. It shows their true heart and the ability to get paid for doing their job. When they already has allowance, fees and plenty of benefits in office. The MPs has paid cars, salaries and whatnot all the time. They are pocketing funds all the time. So, not like the MPs needs the 20 million shillings.

Unless, this is start-up fund for the General Election of 2021. That would make sense, as the MPs are spending fortunes on re-election bids and expensive campaigns. This is why the first thing they do in office is giving themselves suits and cars. So, they can pay off their debts for the election season.

That is maybe why Kadaga is so adamant about these millions. She need them herself to be able to campaign. Well, that is just mere speculation, but you go figure. Why else would she want no oversight, changing the usage of the funds and argument for it. Until now, actually going against her boss over it. It’s like she needs this cash and its her way out.

Kadaga, what is up? Why are you like this?

You know, you represent the public and their interests, right? Not your own. In that regard, you should be a bit more humble and considerate. As the plight of the ordinary citizen is so much more at these troubling times. Than crying over a 20 million handouts. While others get lacking food parcels or nothing at all. Peace.
