ZHLR: Fresh Clampdown on Dissent as Zim Authorities Charge Man for Undermining Mnangagwa (28.05.2018)

Museveni: If your are against tribalism in the UPDF; Why do you appoint mostly from Western then?

It is weird, but when it comes to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his words today. Has he checked his appointments and the people around him. He has a hankering for getting people from the Western Uganda, especially the ones in and around Rukungiri, where your are doling monies these days, as your trying to capture a By-Election for Woman’s MP slot. Museveni, is really trying to show his integrity. However, his actions are talking louder, than his words. First his wanted message from the rallies today, then his real aspirations.

M7 in Rukungiri:

I have heard some people using sectarian sentiments to campaign in Rukungiri. These should be rejected. The NRM decided long ago that tribalism does not build institutions. For example, you cannot recruit an army based on tribalism. It is on the basis of building a national army devoid of tribalism that we have the peace we enjoy today. This peace has resultantly led to sustainable development in terms of roads, electricity, schools and hospitals” (Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, 28.05.2018).

Nilepost reported in December 2017:

Armed Forces. Four-star generals: On analyzing of the 9 highest-ranking UPDF personnel it was established that Western region has 6 (67%) trailed by Central, Eastern and Northern with 1 each, constituting 11%. Lieutenant Generals: Of the 6 examined, 2 were from Eastern Uganda with the other regions sharing one apiece. Major Generals: In examination of the 16 major generals, it was revealed that Western region had 11 (69%), Eastern and northern stood at 2 (13%) and Central with 1 (6%). Brigadiers: In terms of regional distribution, Western region stands higher with 27 (53%), followed by Central 10 (20%), Northern 8 (16%) and Eastern which has 6 (12%)” (Nilepost – ‘Report: Western region dominates jobs in army, police, foreign missions’ 14.12.2017).

Let me just say, again Museveni is all talk, but not acting. Its his twisted tongue and his words that doesn’t make sense. If he was against tribalism, he wouldn’t favor the Western in the armed forces. That is insane to say, as the same stats are in the rest of the government, the appointed and hired are from the region. In dozens compared to the rest of Uganda. It happens to be from the area and the districts around Rukungiri.

So Museveni, maybe you should come with a better sentiment, something that would mirror reality. Like the actual truth for ones. That would be fine. Because this sort of article or blog, is to damn easy to write these days.

Museveni, Mr. President if your campaigning and not thinking the bribing, the sudden need to give to Rukungiri, because of the popularity of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) candidate in the area. Then, you should actually come with speeches where the facts and reality are fitting as a glove. Right now your sending out doves and instead of feeding them, your taking out your shot-gun and blowing them to smithereens, it is like he doesn’t understand the reality.

The reality is that his government is directly a tribal affair, which he has sanctioned and done all this decades. There is only the paid-off and the loyally bribed cronies from the other parts, but the key allies are all Western Ugandan based people. Therefore, him saying NRM decided long ago to counter that, he hasn’t really done so. Its still clear that the key figures and the ones highest up the food-chain are from Western Uganda.

You might lie to the blind sheep, but not to my kind.

Tribalism is rampant in the UPDF and the NRM hasn’t really fought this. Except with a twisted tongue and an excuse of a mind, which happens to be the President.

Peace.

DP Ruto: Your gig is up!

Deputy President William Ruto is one of a kind. The kind that uses fine words and speeches, the ones are defending values, but his actions differs from that. He has finessed the game, using his influence and his value in the system to gain monetary funds. This at a rampant speed, that the check-books cannot recover or even account for the funds. His play-by-play book is made for unaccounted funds and for forging results.

Therefore, a man who has earned a well-fortunate salary in his position, still his wealth over the years has risen astronomically. His houses, his business and his ownership is like a Jeff Bezos of Kenya. The DP has a village called home, own newspapers and whatnot, who knows he has gotten in his hands and pockets. It’s like a giant fountain of money that spiralling in his veins.

He is the guy that praises the rule of law, but orders to not respect the court orders. He is the sort of man who speaks of fighting corruption, but is corrupt as hell. He is the sort of man who speaks of accountability and transparency, while he himself accepts bribes, graft and unaccounted funds in boatloads. He is the man who speaks in twisted tongue, but expect people to speak honest to him.

DP Ruto, we know you now, we know what your up too. We have seen it for years. It isn’t cool anymore, we know that your in your place for one reason, not to serve Kenya, but serve yourself. You are in position to enrichen yourself and your family, not to be representative for Kenya. If it had been so, you wouldn’t be the famous hustler and the famous go-to-get wealthy politician vibe. Because that is true.

We know you own K24, The Star, Karen Homes, Osere flats in Rongai, Major Amaco Insurance, Oseng Properties Limited, Orterter Enterprises Limited, Weston Hotel, 680 Hotel and Uasin Gishu Residence. This you have gotten on your meagre salary. Billions upon billions in property and ownerships of companies, while earning only millions. You cannot make this up. You have also bought a copper and whatnots of cars within your time in office. Therefore, we know you speak, but do financial warfare.

So please, don’t speak ill of corruption, when you’re the benefactor and owner of it. It wouldn’t be like this if your salary and your benefits was sincere, if your role in government and wealth was real, as your eating like there is no tomorrow. Grabbing whatever possession there is and taking it. We see that, as step by step your grabbing ownership of vital plots, of vital news organizations and also producers, which will generate more income. But in the first place, you shouldn’t have the capacity or wealth to be able to get these. Your not earning enough to be here.

So the gig is up. We know you. You can speak those fine words. But we know the reality, the fantasy is all in your mind. We know that and you cannot say otherwise. We know you will, but it is valued as nothing. None. Okay?

Just stop, it is not funny. Peace.

Communique on the meeting between the Chairperson of the African Union Commission and the Prime Minister of Somalia (27.05.2018)

Burundi: CNARED-Giriteka – Communique de Presse (27.05.2018)

President Macky Sall is a bit to friendly to the Colonial French!

“With the French colonization, we had positive things” – President Macky Sall

The Senegalese President Macky Sall is out again, being super-friendly to the French. Even saying again that the Colonizer did lots of good to Senegal. The Republic and the people should be ashamed by the man. That he is so little sovereign and with pride over his own republic. If he was Paul Biya, I would understand, he should praise Switzerland and the mountain resorts he resides at. But I will not digress more. President Sall has again praised France. It is like you wonder how much money they are doling him and what sort of business-deals he has done with French Companies. Since he is a bit to friendly with them. Especially knowing the history of France in Senegal. You should figure out, that you can be cordial with them, but not so lovable.

First show some older clips, to show that this isn’t new from the President. So the ones that is shocked about recent statements as of this week. This is his M.O. and what he does. He has been like this before and said similar things, even if the French was imperialistic and still is, with their reach and demeaning control of the currency market in West Africa. Which the Republic of Senegal is under and their monetary policies are controlled by, therefore, I would expect more reluctant view of France, but Sall is different. He prefers and just see goodness from the French.

BWOG Staff reported in 2013:

President Sall painted his vision for African Economic growth, insisting that philosophers like Fukuyama and Hobbes paint a picture of man “as a wolf to other men.” He insisted that predatory economic practices be reined in and saw little merit in criticism of African debt by countries “that are in huge debt themselves!” “We cannot validate the voice of the future with tools from the past,” he went on, claiming that innovative investment, not empty charity, was the real path to growth. He claimed that 4/5ths of African countries were experiencing growth above the world average and insisted that a common currency for eight West African is the right move. The one positive aspect of colonialism is that it united those countries oppressed by the same power” (BWOG Staff – ‘LectureHop: Macky Sall, the President of Senegal’ 28.09.2013 link: http://bwog.com/2013/09/28/lecturehop-macky-sall-the-president-of-senegal/).

An interview with Sall in 2013:

What role should countries such as Senegal play in regional security compared with outside actors such as the United States and France? We cooperate with France, which is an ally and a friend. It is of course a former colonial power. But France understands the stakes in and the sociology of our countries. The United States also has a security policy in the region, and it is our partner through africom [the U.S. Africa Command] and everything that it does in terms of military cooperation with various countries” (…) “So can Africa take care of its own problems now? No. Africa cannot handle its own problems, because we are not yet at the point where we have the logistical capabilities to deploy troops in case of emergency. It’s simply a matter of means, not a matter of men” (Mercredi – ‘A Conversation With Macky Sall’ 28.08.2013 link: https://www.ndarinfo.com/A-Conversation-With-Macky-Sall_a6291.html)

Northern Senegal farmers:

Under French rule, the poor farmers of Northern Senegal were forced by oppressive economic policies to resort to the monoculture of peanuts and rice. The legacy of colonialism on traditional farming practices was the desertification of the delicate Sahel soil and a devastating famine in the late twentieth century (Kloby 103). In what was once a civilization of communal living and bartering, the French instituted elements of capitalism that would best serve the European metropole. Instead of nurturing a complete capitalist system and educating the local populous about the newly developed concepts of industrialization and economic theory, the Europeans exploited the rich resources of both land and people to further advance their own development (Rodney 112)” (Emma Anderson – ‘COLONIZATION AND SENEGAL’ 10.07.2013 link: https://www.globalcitizenyear.org/updates/colonization-and-senegal/) .

As you see, President Sall has a favorable view, maybe he is caught up in the view of French Embassy of Senegal in Dakar, which writes on their page about their relationship:

After more than three centuries of uninterrupted relations, France and Senegal have remained since the independence of very close nations. A shared history, a tradition of cooperation in all fields, a constant flow of human and material exchanges in both directions, confirm this proximity. The strong bond that President Léopold Sédar Senghor had with our country has been perpetuated by his successors, President Abdou Diouf, President Abdoulaye Wade, and President Macky Sall since April 2012. France intends to remain alongside Senegal, which is the largest recipient of French aid in sub-Saharan Africa. It is in all these areas, but also in that of our cultural and human exchanges, woven through three hundred and fifty years of history, that the exceptional relations of friendship between France and Senegal are manifested” (La France au Senegal – ‘Relations politiques’ 21.06.2017).

Therefore, you can see that the exceptional relationship is evident in the way Sall is defending the colonial works that French did in Senegal, as they didn’t do it to control and get their imperial control of Senegal. That should be insulting to Sall, but you can wonder why he see it so favorable. Because he shows such defense and defense of the assimilation and the policies done by French Colonial Administrations, which was done for the betterment of Paris and not for the betterment of Dakar. That was just dumb-luck if the policies created something good for Dakar, because the end-game in the colonial enterprises are for the betterment of the empire, not for the colonies. They are the means to an end.

That is why Sall is so French friendly and defending the demeaning and insulting policies of the Colonial French. Which the Senegal republic has inherited and is still under supervision of the French. As their monetary policies and other government framework are still monitored by the French and the French Treasury in Paris. Therefore, the Senegal Government have less control and have less powers of their own, as long as they are following guidelines from the French on how the Central African Franc (CAF) is.

The Senegalese are the ones that following similar steps as in France, but have politicians that are blindly also following the French. This is all in deliberate way of still having not only influence, but actual control of the territories they used reign supreme over. That is what the French is doing. Therefore, President Sall is a bit to friendly and defending the French. I just don’t get it. I don’t. But that is just me though. Peace.

The simple reason for the rising prices of UNGA!

If you wonder why suddenly the prices are running high for the UNGA again in Kenya. That is because the state has added taxes, they are trying to collect more money again. This is happening because its months since the elections and the subsidized UNGA is history. Therefore, expect rising prices, the maize and milk cartels want their profits. If they happen to in the pocket of the government at the same time. Is just convenient, even some of the companies earning on the sky-rocketing prices is the President himself and his own companies. I am sure the DP also owns connected businesses that could eat of the this plate too. While the ordinary and poor population will struggle to have ends meet as the government are taxing them even more.

Added Taxes:

Poor households would be more exposed in the amendments with sweeping implications on many sectors, as the State seeks to raise Sh1.75 trillion in the next financial year. Most basic commodities are not taxed to cushion the poor, but the changes that will be proposed in the national budget will end that. “We are looking at exemptions on several products that are widely consumed, but not on VAT such as milk, sugar, maize flour, wheat flour…,” said Benson Korongo, a commissioner of Kenya Revenue Authority” (Michira, 2018).

Prediction of the reaction to the taxes:

Milk and cream, not concentrated nor containing added sugar or other sweetening matter” (…) “Suppliers of the affected supplies will not be able to claim any input tax incurred in making of such supplies. This cost will be borne by the final consumers. Reverting to exemption of these basic commodities a year later after they had been zero-rated will lead to an increase in their prices rendering them less affordable to the ordinary Citizens” (…) “The supply of maize (corn) flour, ordinary bread and cassava flour, wheat or meslin flour and maize flour containing cassava flour by more than 10% in weight” (…) “Reverting to exemption of these basic commodities a year later after they had been zero-rated will lead to an increase in their prices rendering them less affordable to ordinary Citizens” (Ey Global Tax Alert Library, 2018)

It is special when Ernest & Young (EY) whose is known for their advice for potential investors and people who plans for invest in a republic. They have usual advice, which shows the potential and the grips of reality. Their analysis from April are now coming in effect in the end of May, as the local papers like Standard write about it now. But they say it might happen in July.

The state has favorably subsidized it and also imported on its own, that might happen again. But the added tax will hit the public. Make the staple food more expensive, because of added taxes. The shops, the importers, the distribution companies will not take the hit. The hit is always ending up at the consumer, the buyer and not the ones who produce, distribute and sells. That is known and the way we play. Seriously, when the state plans with these taxes to earn over a trillion shillings, nearly two, means they are anticipating selling enough of the needed goods and services connected with the new taxes to actually be sold.

So the prices on the staple is rising, because the Jubilee Government, the President and his party is doing it. This is their orders and their will, it is not the international market or a drought, it is initial planning and what the state does to get more revenue.

Jubilee whose are eating all of the state, needs more revenue to make another NYS Scandal, take more funds from the likes of NHIF and inappropriately use unaccounted funds in the various government bodies. Peace.

Opinion: Mugabe your are so lucky, so stop complaining!

Mr. Robert Gabriel Mugabe, I know your old and in advanced age, but someone have to learn you how to be silent. You should be silent and not even whistle in public. Your lucky to have your life, have a giant pension and also still keep your wealth. Your extremely lucky that the current administration and the current leadership wasn’t flogging you and taking you to court after the coup d’etat in November 2017.

Your extremely lucky, so reading that your bitching again about your life post-presidency. You better know better. You are living life and lavishly, while the ones who haven’t eaten the 37 years of rule. Are still struggling day to day, there is still problems within the state and its organizations. What you have left behind is dozens of people who don’t know where their family members are, the activists and political opponents you ordered to vanish or get rid off. They are worse off and knows nothing.

You have claimed dozens of lives, while living life of luxury, eating the best of best food, while others are awaiting donations and food relief from foreign sources. The rule of yours has destroyed the economy and even the currency. Still, you have the audacity to complain and bitch to a fellow dictator for life. How dare you?

Your lucky your not in bracelets, that your reign ended without bloodshed and without insecurity. Because you took it all and expected to get away with it all. That you could loot, celebrate and get rid of the ones standing in your way. It is insane that your living in your mansion, have your cars and owns the various estates. While the state is lacking funds and struggles to pay civil servants. When you have over the years stolen millions upon millions dollars. Which could help all the working families within the state and generate better services.

Your are lucky to keep all of that, that your not going to court every single day answering litigation’s and cases of corruptions, kidnappings and violations of human rights, because there are dozens of people who would enjoy seeing your answering for your crimes. Because you hurt so many people’s lives, you ate their plate and enjoyed yourself on others people’s hardship.

Therefore, you should be silent and pray to the almighty God, that the leadership and administration, haven’t touched you and haven’t acted upon at all. They haven’t taken away or even whisked away anything, which you have stolen during the years. You have gotten away with major crimes and not have to answer. You have been in charge of grand corruption and still breathing the free air and not being behind bars.

You are lucky, super lucky that Mnangagwa and the Lacoste didn’t do you harm. They stripped your title and your office, but have kept everything else. You are a bit to lucky, you would deserve a public trial and answer for the ills you have committed to others on your watch. That would have justice, because all the other citizens answer for their bad activity and trespassing of the law. So he should answer for that too.

Your damn lucky your not behind closed doors not seeing or feeling the sun, not hearing the rain or the thunder. But being free at the Blue Roof and enjoying retirement in wealth. Other people wouldn’t get that well off after what you have done and did.

So please. Do yourself a favor. Become silent and enjoy it. Your bitching isn’t doing any good. It is just making more people more eager to retaliate and your don’t want to a prison guards bitch do you?

No, I didn’t think so. Peace.
