Brexit: Jess Phillips MP letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson (28.08.2019)

Opinion: Boris Johnson is a coward for suspending the Parliament at this crucial time

Let’s be clear, this the art-piece of a con-artist. Michelangelo or Basquiat couldn’t have this masterpiece of deception. It is only a CONservative Prime Minister like Boris Johnson who could.

Today, his shown his clear intention. The man who was never elected by the people, to disregard all the people’s representatives and their constituencies. That in the final days Brexit, until the 31st October 2019. The Parliament is suspended the 14th October 2019. Making it near impossible to amend changes or follow standard protocol of Parliament and its chambers.

This is the trick that Johnson does today. With the blessing of the Queen and his Privy Council, while his made his remarks in constitutional offensive letter, earlier in the day. Because, clearly, the coward doesn’t have the bollocks or the balls to be present in-front of fellow peers. His a weak man, who only can use power, but stand guard to be questioned for using it. That is the sort of man Johnson is.

If he had courage, honour or respect for the democratic institutions in the United Kingdom. He would have started the Parliament after the Summer Recess and finally ended Brexit with humility. Alas, he wants to wing-it and disregard the rest of the representatives of the UK. He want to move-on at his own will and not get quarrels in Parliament. At least his predecessor had the courtesy to follow protocol in this matter.

That they supposed to “divers urgent and important matters” when they return. Like they got the time for Parliament to convene and find deliberate actions concerning Brexit. This is clear message, that Johnson want to skirmish his “No-Deal” without the procedures followed.

Boris is showing lack of understanding his role, because his not representing the people, but his own will. Johnson takes this step, since he fears what the Parliament could do. The hung parliament have already caused problems for the transitional deal, the Withdrawal Agreement and not like Johnson has the time to fix the issues within that one. Neither, is he giving anyone time to make good suggestions ahead of the revoking date of the Member State role within the European Union.

He wants to end this with a blast, with a big-bang, where the corporations are more prepared to remove locations and assets into the EU markets. This has already been done big funds and corporations already, Dublin is the winner and many plans to move to the Netherlands too.

Certainly, Brexit deserves to questioned, under scrutiny and handled properly by the Parliament. Not be done in silence and secretly by the chosen few of the PM. Instead it seems to be the way, as the Queen, the Prime Minister and the Privy Council got it done today.

This shows how someone is ramming into the institutions on his own will, instead of actually having an ear to the other MPs and Lords, also they are there on behalf of the people. That is why this sort of actions shows his contempt with the other legislators.

Johnson is a COWARD. A weak man, with a high office. Not a respectable or an honourable man. Because, if he was, he would have the ability to listen to people and accepts their verdicts of your plans. Instead, he wants to be the big-man writing decrees and get t done his way. This is the sort of man he is.

Since we all know, there will not be much time between 14th October and 31st October 2019. 17 days and you cannot manage much.

That why this is crashing out of the Union, in a mediocre and insincere way of Johnson. Boris the Blade, surely forgotten his role in society and what institution his a part off. Peace.

Opinion: A $400m Command Agriculture scandal rocks the Republic!

The Ministry of Finance and the whole ZANU-PF have to showed and told the world that they paid Ferts, Seed & Grain (FSG), the Merdian owned corporation the amount of $400m in 2019. The same company they paid $69m and couldn’t answer for the usage of funds.

This is the same company, which came into a scandal in 2018, for the lack of production and equipment for the order of fertilizers in an $89m, a year later, the same company is supposed to be good enough to carry a $400m deal. This is outrages and make the Republic look like a fool.

The family of Morland must be in joy of the fortunes they are making, all of them. Steve Morland, the director, Operation Andrew Morland and Factory Tony Morland. All of them must have joyful days, even though, maybe Isaac Muranganwa, the financial controller is a bit pre-occupied finding reasons for these trades. In addition, Kara Morland is busy finding the New PR Stunt, after the sudden Presser explaining the $400m deal today with Command Agriculture.

If this company struggled to produce for the contract in 2018, which is under ¼ of the current estimated deal, than we have a shallow grave and a ghost sales of epic proportions to the Merdian owned FSG. The Morland operated of Kew Drive in the Highlands in Harare. Surely, when I can do this research. The ones doing the tenders within government should be able to do this too.

So, when the Public Accountants Committee in Parliament cannot answer this, but has the ability to overshadow the shady deal with a company, they have previously engaged in. They should surely be more careful. Instead they hope of the ignorance of the people.

When, I a nobody can find this information and even the previous scandal in mind, the state is showing lack of due diligence or lack of care for own spending. As they have spent close to $500m to uncertain deals, as a part of Command Agriculture, where about $469m be questioned, two shady deals, the same company and surely the same culprits in-charge.

Alas, ZANU-PF doesn’t kid itself, only the public, they and cheat, while people have to ask for debt-relief. Peace.

Opinion: Cannot afford the implementation of R-ARCSS, but a Presidential Jet is cool!

The Finance and Economic Planning Committee of the National Legislative Assembly has proposed that South Sudan should buy a presidential jet to be used by the President, the vice-presidents and senior members of the executive” (…) “South Sudan spends millions of dollars in travel costs for government officials a year. Members of committee said purchasing a jet would curb travel expenditure from the office of the President. The committee added that purchasing a plane would also ensure the “security of the president” is not compromised” (The National Courier, 14.08.2019).

Somewhere along the lines of misuse of power, somewhere the misuse of funds and the lack of transparency bears fruit. Where the Presidential Decrees and total control looses value. In this instance, it is the total disregard of the public and their needs. As the basics are covered by donors, and donor funded organizations, while the state is living lavish on either aid or oil-money.

They are so heavy eating, that they have no trouble, even funnelling money through shady agreements, while crying havoc for the Peace Agreement. Because, no one want to be the bad man and stop that because of some lack of funds. No, everyone will step up for the sake of peace, even if the TGoNU have misused funds. Like buying a Presidential Jet, when the state cannot manage to build roads, schools or even implement the state functions according to the newest peace deal.

“With millions of dollars from oil revenues being funneled to Ashraf Al Cardinal, the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS) is in danger of collapse due to lack of funds. As provided for in the R-ARCSS implementation matrix, cantonment of opposition forces which was supposed to have started within 30 days has not begun due to lack of funds; the Joint Transitional Security Committee (JTSC), which is a critical component of security arrangements is struggling to even hold meetings and travels to proposed cantonment sites due to lack of funds; demilitarization of civilian centers and collection of weapons that was slated to have been completed within 45 days has not begun due to lack of funds; training for unified forces to serve in the national army, police , security service or protection of VIPs – again a critical prerequisite for the arrival of opposition leaders to Juba- has not begun due to lack of funds. The list is long and, by no means, inexhaustive and if this situation continues until May this year, the hopes of the people of South Sudan for peace will have been terribly dashed. The people have really been patient with their leaders, especially H.E President Salva Kiir Mayardit, who recently made a solemn public pledge to bring peace to his people at any cost. And to his credit, the President ordered his Cabinet over a month ago to allocate funds for the implementation of R-ARCSS. This was indeed a commendable move which gave the public a strong reason to hope that their Government was bent on mobilizing local rather than foreign resources to implement R-ARCSS. However, the public have now been surprised, shocked, disappointed and outraged to learn that the financial resources that are said to be unavailable for peace implementation – thereby saving lives of thousands of South Sudanese people- are now being readily and happily availed to one man called Ashraf Al Cardinal” (Peace Observatory Group – ‘R-ARCSS poised to collapse due to lack of funds and Ashraf Al Cardinal’ 10.03.2019).

President Salva Kiir Mayardit and the whole SPLM/A-IG have to be called out for this. The ones claiming to not have funds for peace, but funds for a plane. That is mismanagement at its core. Wastage of public funds and certainly, when its talk of peace and following up on old agreements. Agreements that isn’t that old and soon the deadline is over too.

The state could fix that and at a later junction, when it has spare funds start purchasing planes to the President. To ease his travels, but this is just foolish. The TGoNU and the SPLM/A-IG is mocking its citizens, which have no ability to get their basics delivered by the state. However, their President should live lavish and like a Executive with all the perks. Shouldn’t they just buy him a Gucci bag, Armani suits and Cubano cigars while they’re at it? Peace.
