Ethiopia: Berhanu Jula reveals the sinister acts of Eritrean soldiers in the Axum Massacre in November 2020..

“Several incidents occurred. There was gaps during the war. In areas, such as Adigrat, Adwa, and Aksum, there was terrible actions that took place. At that time, the Shabia army also arrived. Since it was a situation where one could not check and balance the other, there was some anti-democratic actions. At that time, it was like that, but leadership was also involved. It wasn’t a good job. Of course. It wasn’t as bad as they portrayed it; factories was dismantled and taken, property was looted, and people were killed. The massacre wasn’t quite like it was narrated. There was damage, but what was said wasn’t the kind that was portrayed for media consumption. The one at fault is the TPLF itself. When the Shabia army passed through there, they opened fire on them. How did they do that? They infiltrated the city with militia and armed people. It was like sudden attack. This was transpired within the city. And to defend themselves, they (Eritrean soldiers) didn’t differentiate one from the others, they took measures. That’s what happened. It’s not like they went into every house; it was a city, right? It (Eritrean soldiers) was fired upon and since there were many people in the city when retaliation was given, there were casualties. The provocations was done intentionally to cause harm. If you organize an armed group and send them into a city where an army is peacefully passing through then open fire, it has to defend itself. And to defend itself, it’s difficult to identify who is armed and who is not. They took action against those who attacked them. They followed and took action against those who fled or scattered; in the midst of this, peaceful people might have been harmed” – Field Marshal Berhanu Jula, Chief of the General Staff of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (01.10.2024).

The truth will be revealed and be told eventually. Now it is done for one reason or another. As the authorities, the state and the army itself wants to change the story. There are drip drops of knowledge. The ones involved will speak and say their peace.

Now the ENDF Field Marshal Berhanu Jula is speaking about the war in the north. He is addressing the conflict and how things went down. It is now over a year since the Pretoria Agreement and Cessation of Hostilities. We can wonder if it is in regard to this… and they want to downplay their own role. That would make sense now. However, it is telling that this is being said now!

Especially, when a Field Marshal says this and it co-incidentally fits the stories that was reported in 2021 about it. Now in 2024 the Army Commander is speaking and he does it with intent. We cannot know why right now… but it is for reason. Just look at the reports from 2021 and how conveniently it adds up!

Amnesty first reports:

“Between 19 and 29 November 2020, Eritrean troops operating in the Ethiopian city of Axum, Tigray, committed a series of human rights and humanitarian law violations, including killing hundreds of civilians. Over an approximately 24-hour period on 28-29 November, Eritrean soldiers deliberately shot civilians on the street and carried out systematic house-to-house searches, extrajudicially executing men and boys. The massacre was carried out in retaliation for an earlier attack by a small number of local militiamen, joined by local residents armed with sticks and stones” (Amnesty, February 2021).

EHRC states:

“Information collected during this preliminary investigation confirm that during the two days of November 28 and November 29, grave violations of human rights were committed and that in Aksum, over one hundred residents including visitors from other parts of the country who came to mark the annual Aksum Tsion celebration and internally displaced persons from other parts of Tigray, were killed by Eritrean soldiers” (EHRC, March 2021).

About the November 28th November Amnesty wrote this:

“From about 3 to 4 pm, lines of Eritrean trucks and tanks reportedly entered the city from the east. Their numbers bolstered by the new arrivals, Eritrean soldiers went on a rampage, shooting at civilian men and youths who were out on the streets attempting to flee in panic. The killing, which one witness said began around 4 pm, was carried out on a large scale and continued until the evening” (Amnesty, February 2021).

EHRC report says this:

“On November 25, members of ENDF were seen to be leaving Aksum and on November 26, residents said they could not see any “soldiers moving around the city”. On November 27, however, “a large number of Eritrean soldiers began coming into Aksum”. “They took up posts in three different locations of the city: ‘Maye Kuho’; ‘Samuna Fabrika’ and ‘Tsele’a’. On November 28, 2020, we started hearing heavy gun fire all around the city.”” (EHRC, March 2021).

You can it and it is evident, right?

Field Marshal spoke about this to make others look like villains and continue the blame-game. Meanwhile, he will treat it like a nothing affair. Because, if this had mattered. Something would have happened and the leaders in Addis Ababa would have called and notified Asmara about the transgressions. However, they were all in on it and didn’t mind the cost of the conflict. Therefore, this is to shade both the Eritrean involvement in the war and TPLF itself.

This just shows how they are throwing the allies under the bus and putting blame on them after the fact. Now they can do that after a fallout. That’s why the Field Marshal can address it and does it so blatantly.

The massacre of Axum should have consequences, but we haven’t seen any. Neither has the ENDF, Fano or EDF gotten any sort of punitive actions. Neither has the leaders in charge taking any accountability or tried to dig deep into the actions itself. This is why the investigations into it has gone nowhere. That’s because no one in office or in power wants the sinister acts revealed. Peace.

Opinion: Lebanon needs our attention now…

“As the Israeli enemy continues its increasingly barbaric attacks on various Lebanese regions, some media outlets have reported inaccurate information about the army withdrawing from its southern border posts for several kilometers, in light of the enemy’s preparations to carry out a ground operation inside Lebanese territory. The Army Command would like to clarify that the military units deployed in the south are repositioning some forward observation posts within their assigned sectors of responsibility. The Command also continues to cooperate and coordinate with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon” (Lebanese Army, 01.10.2024).

“Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Makati says his country is facing “one of the most dangerous phases” in its history. He highlighted that around one million people have been displaced across Lebanon since Israeli airstrikes began last month” (The World Truth Eyes, 01.10.2024).

The leaders of Israel is now extending their warfare outside of the borders of Israel. It is not taking and making settlements in contested territories of the Palestinian authorities. Now they are taking it further. Just like it did with sending missiles towards the Houthi’s in Yemen.

Now they are going even further with a ground invasion of Lebanon. That comes after days and usage of sophisticated technology to target both militants and civilians within Lebanon. They might say they are doing this to end Hezbollah. However, they are targeting all Lebanese people and being a foreign invader inside the nation of Lebanon right now. That’s what is happening, and another sovereign is invading the neighbour. They are just allowed to further their cause and create more hostility in the region.

The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) don’t care about the “Blue Line” or the justification to do this. Only to further vilify the neighbour and have enough plausible reasons to annex more land. This is self-justifying itself and taking momentum away from others. That’s what they are up too. Just like with the bombing and executions within Gaza to sell plots of land by the sea to settlers. The same would be of Lebanese territories going into the hands of Israel. We just know the gig…

This is bombing Beirut and blaming all Lebanese for the actions of Hezbollah. They are targeting a fraction but hurting the whole nation. That’s what the IDF is doing and its morbid. It is disgusting and dangerous that they can do this to a fellow sovereign.

The IDF can claim this is a limited operation and such, but the bombing of Beirut says otherwise. It isn’t a minor thing or a clandestine mission this time. When the IDF announces it and releases photos of soldiers passing the borders into the sovereign. That’s what they are doing, and they are planning war when doing so. Regardless of how many troops that are on the ground. They are entering another nation and going to war by doing so.

Lebanon will suffer because of all of this. All the resolutions and whatnot in concern to this is depleted and exhausted. As the troops and the war-machine of Israel enters the picture. They are now invading forces and taking power into their own hands. They might justify it, but it doesn’t make it right. This is earth shattering and total destruction, daily bombardment and terror of a nation. This is who the Israel government is and their acts speaks louder than words. Prime Minister Netanyahu can have all the excuses in his book, but that isn’t helping him.

Civilians are dying, people are fleeing the warzone, and more devastation is coming. This isn’t creating a stable Middle East, but creating further conflicts, which can spark a bigger reaction. A reaction that maybe Jerusalem or Tel Aviv never will ever control. Because they went in, and they will be forced to give way in the end. As they are just creating more enemies or nemesis, as their terror is reaching new borders and new hights. Peace

DRC: The M23 controls the coltan production…

“In North Kivu, the consolidation of the M23’s administrative control over the territories of Masisi and Rutshuru has allowed it to take total control of coltan production. Trade in the Rubaya region, which is said to supply more than 15% of the world’s tantalum production, brings in around USD 300,000 per month to the armed group. This situation is very worrying and must be stopped” (…) “The criminal laundering of natural resources of the DRC smuggled out of the country strengthens armed groups, maintains the exploitation of civilian populations, some of whom are reduced to de facto slavery, and undermines peace-building efforts. Unless international sanctions are imposed on those who profit from this criminal trade, peace will remain elusive and civilians will continue to suffer” – Bintou Keita, Head of the MONUSCO (01.10.2024).

The Alliance Fleuve Congo (AFC) or the March 23 Mouvement (M23) are now in control of vital mineral resource and the extraction of it in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The DRC and the FARDC is losing out because of all it. The Kinshasa regime is losing vital taxes and possible revenue by the collection of funds that is in the hands of the M23.

This here is a loss of not only the captured areas and where the M23 resides on a daily basis. The loss of lives, the burden of production and how they operate to extract the minerals from the region. However, this here is a proof of “blood diamonds” or conflict “minerals” which is enlarging the pockets of rebellion and militias within the DRC. This here gives leverage and wealth to the commanders who are in charge and the ones that is funding the operation as well.

For years there been reports of the illicit trade of mineral resources from the region. The routes of the conflict minerals have been going across to Rwanda and Uganda. Those who are also claimed to behind the M23 to begin with. Therefore, nothing here is surprising, but it shows how profitable the conflict and the usage of militia warfare is in the region.

What the Head of MONUSCO Bintou Keita is saying is relevant, but also stating to what extent it is. The UN Experts Reports has over the years explicitly stated the way the minerals are exported and who operates within the spectrum. Now it is coming to light and how vastly the M23 is earning on it. They have a “gold” mine in their hands and can easily access funds to pursuit the mission of “annexing territories” and continue the fight against the FARDC or their allies.

The concern here is that this won’t affect or stop the illicit trade in general. As the mineral are exported and sold into the multi-national businesses that uses it. They are generating massive wealth of the extraction of the mineral resources and the M23 can continue to operate with loads of cash-flow into their operation. Therefore, the trade of Coltan becomes not only a question of cost-benefit, but it becomes problematic regarding the usage of it. This is supporting a rebel and a militia to be able to earn profits in the lines of electronics or electronic vehicles for that matter.

This here should hit the headlines worldwide, but I know it is lucky if it goes into the bulletins or a page 7 story, which is caught in between ads and ignored stories from the world. That’s where this will end… and Kinshasa government will not get the help or the manpower to be able to takeover their own territories or even cease the export of coltan from the DRC. Peace.

Sudan: The Coordination-Body of The Democratic & Civil Forces (Tagadom) – Press release on extrajudicial killing of civilians in Halfaya (01.10.2024)

Videos have spread on social media showing groups fighting within the ranks of the army announcing, after entering the Halfaya area in Khartoum Bahri, the liquidation and extrajudicial killing of civilians.

Initial information available so far shows that civilians have been killed through extrajudicial executions of dozens of civilians.

The Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces “Progress” condemns this crime and calls for taking legal action against its perpetrators and bringing them to court and dealing with it seriously, away from procrastination and stalling as happened in previous violations that ended with promises of investigation without any results. At the same time, it considers what happened a full-fledged war crime and justice will reach all those who committed it and incited it one day.

“Progress” renews its call to the two warring parties to abide by international humanitarian law, stop attacking civilians in war zones or fleeing them, and stop these ongoing violations for nearly a year and a half.

“Progress” warns against the dangers of criminalizing humanitarian workers and those in charge of humanitarian work by political classification or accusation of bias towards either party to the war, because this has dire consequences as volunteers refrain from working to serve citizens in war zones after the failure and inability of official bodies to provide any services to their citizens who suffer from hunger and disease, and millions of them have lost options and have found no choice but to remain in their areas and live with the reality of war, and they have found no refuge except for volunteers who filled this deficit and took the initiative to provide services to the citizens of those areas.

In the same context, we renew our warning against the growing extrajudicial killing of civilians or targeting them for ethnic or racial reasons, and the dangers of this behavior and pushing the country into the fires of a comprehensive civil war that will leave nothing behind, in which people will kill each other on the basis of race, color, or way of speaking. Those who believe that pushing the country into a comprehensive civil war will make them safe from its evils and enable them to rule the country again with an iron fist do not know that they will be its victims sooner or later, and history will pursue them with its curses.

We renew our call to the leadership of the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces to make the right and courageous decision to stop this war, return to negotiations, achieve a peaceful solution, and stop the suffering of millions of Sudanese men and women who are looking forward to returning to their homes and continuing their lives normally in their homeland and inside their homes.

Dr. Bakri Al-Jack

Official spokesman for the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces.

Burkina Faso: Ahmed Kinda another putschist got caught…

“Evidence of an attempted coup d’état in Burkina Faso surfaced on Sunday with ex-Special Forces Commander Ahmed Kinda appearing in a national tv video discussing his involvement and revealing plans for mercenaries to leave the Central African Republic to destabilize the country” (West Africa Democracy Radio, 30.09.2024).

Already in September 2024 there was reports that Lt. Col. Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba wanted to return to power. He wanted to do another coup d’etat. That wouldn’t be shocking, as anyone who is currently in office and in power has taken power by the gun. This being Captain Ibrahim Traoré who has faced several attempts on his life and his office since taking power in September 2022.

Now on the two years anniversary of Captain Traoré reign. There are now reports that Commander Ahmed Kinda was caught and captured in Niger. As he planned with other accomplices to do a putsch in Burkina Faso. They had weapons, money and connections. That’s what Commander Ahmed Kinda has revealed. He even tied it to Lt. Col. Damiba, and we shouldn’t be shocked by that.

That Lt. Col. Damiba was in connection with a journalist filled with pockets of money that could pay for mercenaries from the Central African Republic to be part of the mission to overthrow Captain Traoré. They would do that so they could not only take power but also shift the focus back to France possibly. Because Captain Traoré has taken a stance against that.

We shouldn’t be shocked if others are caught in the web of deceit and deception, as people are wanting power and has no issues to become a puppet. As long as they have the titles and the office. They will talk of democracy and the will of the people, but only be there for personal gains. That’s what we should expect, and no one should be surprised by it.

Commander Ahmed Kinda is just another one… his just another one who tried and used his connections to further his own cause. He went outside of the Republic and planned to return with a clandestine mission. That’s what is happening here, and they want to take over. Nevertheless, we should see it coming.

The ones that predicted the return of Lt. Col. Damiba can say: “we told you so, yes, we told you so”. He wants to be used by one foreign imperialist and be friendly to Paris. That he will use others and get funding of clandestine missions in Burkina Faso. Therefore, this sort of story will continue to come, as long as junta governments are in power in the Republic. Peace.

Burundi: Two Extra-Judicial Killings in Cibitoke province…

“On the afternoon of Tuesday 24 September 2024, at around 5 p.m., two lifeless bodies of young men in their thirties were discovered by farmers on transversal roads 11 and 12 of the Rusiga hill, in the commune of Rugombo of the Cibitoke province (north-west Burundi), some 500 metres from the Rusizi river separating Burundi from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). According to witnesses to the macabre discovery, the bodies of these young men had been decapitated and were lying in a pool of still-fresh blood. According to eyewitnesses, the bodies of the young men were dumped there by agents of the National Intelligence Service (SNR), who claimed to have seen the vehicle of the head of the SNR in Cibitoke province, police colonel Félix Havyarimana, circulating in the area on the night of 23 to 24 September 2024, and suspected him of involvement in the double murder. The two bodies were buried towards nightfall on the same day, on the orders of the administrator of the Rugombo commune” (SOS-TORTURE BURUNDI REPORT NO. 459 PUBLISHED ON 29 SEPTEMBER 2024, 29.09.2024).

The one that wonders what the meaning of the “code of silence” means. Well, the dead doesn’t speak and the CNDD-FDD knows this. That’s why they are acting and ordering things in this fashion. Life isn’t valued in Burundi. Not under the totalitarian and authoritarian reign of President Évariste Ndayishimiye.

The reports of finding bodies abandoned in the Province of Cibitoke isn’t anything new. It is now common practice and part of how the authorities are operating. This is who the CNDD-FDD are and what they do.

They are apparently behind it and are doing this for reasons to stay in power. That’s why people are singled out and taken out. They stopped and silenced. So that these people aren’t able to speak or say what is wrong. Neither are there any sort of justice or justification for doing so.

President Ndayishimiye is acknowledging it and allowing it too to happen. He is appointing and keeping violent men around him. If it wasn’t for the use of force and lethal means to send a message.

The ones believing the good nature or the possibility of sincere justice here is wrong. The ones who caught the fire and got capture. They are forever lost, and their stories won’t be told. Only mere reflections of their demise. These young men were taken out as a sign and as a message to others. That they should follow the “code” and be loyal to the state. If they trespass or go against it. They can end up where they are, and no one will really know how.

That’s the sort of sinister and horrific ways the CNDD-FDD is ruling the nation. This is who President Ndayishimiye really is and how he wants people to salute his government. Because they are doing it systematically and with a purpose.

These sorts of extra-judicial killings won’t stop anytime soon. Especially, when we know who the Head of State and they are doing this on the regular. It isn’t a one of case. This is a whole system, and the authorities are ordered to do so. That’s why more lives will be taken, and this will not cease to stop. Peace.
