Syria: National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces – Syrian Opposition Coalition – Military Operations in Syria Aimed at Protecting Civilians (28.11.2024)

Tchad: Is Gen. Kaka going for Abu Dhabi instead of Paris?

Yesterday it was announced that the Government of Tchad has ceased the military agreement with France. That is a 66 year old military agreement, which has connected N’Djamena and Paris for decades. This has been an agreement that has been revised and amended over the years too. Just so the leaders of the nations could feel it was filling in the needs of joint military operations and training in Tchad. Meanwhile Tchad would also ensure the French interests was on stand-by and kept as status quo.

That’s why we know things are changing. General Mahamat “Kaka” Déby Itno has now officially shifted the foreign alliances. This is directly aligning itself differently. It isn’t the first nation to do so in the Sahel region. He is now not only risking the loss of logistical support and military training. That is the cost of ending the joint military agreement.

Alas, maybe N’Djamena has felt it has to many strings. The government of Tchad is felt like a subpar ally and a underling. Meanwhile it was just supposed to nod along and accept the stipulations the French pinned on them. While the French wouldn’t take part or help in the hours of need. Therefore, the French was there only for the French interest and selfish indulgence in the Republic. As it safeguarded French businesses and extraction industries. However, that sort of transactional favour will backfire eventually.

Gen. Kaka is now turning to Abu Dhabi. We know Tchad is getting as brothers in army with the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As the Generals and the leadership surrounding Gen. Kaka is getting funds and a logistical hot-spot for the Rapid Support Force (RSF). The RSF who is also partnered with the UAE in the civil war within Sudan. A war that isn’t all popular within Tchad, but many are profiting from it and has the ability to enrich military commanders in Tchad.

That’s maybe why Gen. Kaka isn’t afraid of leaving the French. He already has his back covered and know the UAE will serve him. They are there for him and can also be there to top off his needs. Nevertheless, we don’t know how this one will play out.

There will be the fear-mongering and talk of more instability in the region. Just like the French did after being ousted out of Niger, Mali or Burkina Faso. They have already felt the pinch and been touched.

Tchad has now decided on its own. They are not part of the juntas of Sahel. Neither is it part of the Alliance des Etats du Sahel (AES) and the ones who took power by the guns in Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali. All of these leaders are now aligned and becoming their own federation over time. Which means they are not associated with the ECOWAS or other bilateral entities of old. Meaning they are creating new spaces for themselves and how they want to operate as sovereign nations.

N’Djamena and Gen. Kaka is taking steps in this direction. Some are already speculating if they plans to get closer to Russia/Kremlin. Nevertheless, that I don’t think is the case. As the Tchad leadership is aligned with UAE and part of the RSF conflict in Sudan. Which means this alliance is more important and a way of enriching the elites N’Djamena already. These priorities are more vital than keeping up with the stipulations and being directly controlled from Paris.

Gen. Kaka is bravely doing this. His doing something his father never could do. I didn’t see this one comnig, as Gen. Kaka has kept things on the low and been one of them allies of the French. I don’t see him joining and being directly a part of the AES. That is unless his offered a pay-day and a new revenue stream. That’s when he will jump ship, because N’Djamena are willing as long there are a loot in the offer. This is what the Republic of 1000 Generals needs and they are all waiting for their envelopes. Peace.

Ethiopia: The OLA-OLF calls Abiy rightfully out!

“1. Feigning Interest in Peace Talks, Again

Shimelis repeated the regime’s worn-out narrative of pursuing peace. What the regime calls “peace” is stripping the public of their only means of protection against state violence. This Orwellian invocation of peace serves as a facade for their inability to achieve a military victory with their disorganized forces. Their actions consistently betray their claim to any form of peaceful settlement” (Oromia Liberation Army – ‘Abiy Ahmed, through Shimelis Abdisa, delivered a lacklustre statement riddled with contradictions and empty rhetoric’ 27.11.2024).

Time is a wasting. The Prosperity Party and the revised EPRDF regime under the Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali have utterly failed the nation. The FDRE and the authorities has created more insecurity and a lesser peaceful environment in the Republic. That’s what the Prime Minister has achieved over the years.

That the Oromia Liberation Army/Front (OLA-OLF) are spelling it all out. The Prosperity Party and the current regime aren’t acting in good faith. There is only misinformation and propaganda about non-existence dialogue. The authorities and the national army are here because they can never cease to have the final operation or offensive against it.

The OLA-OLF is saying the truths, that the PP isn’t able or has the guts to do. They rather do a short-term act and use violence without any fear of retribution. That’s what the PM hopes for and that he can slowly silence his enemies. Which is what the OLA-OLF is in his eyes. They are the enemies he cannot get rid of or have the ability to conquer.

“4. False Claims About Peace Talks Logistics

True to form, Shimelis indulged in baseless claims, even on trivial matters. He asserted that the government had financed and facilitated the OLA delegation’s travel to Tanzania for peace talks. This is patently false. The delegation’s travel was entirely funded by international partners and executed using ICRC-owned aerial assets. If memory serves well, even the regime`s delegation`s participation was also financed through the same mechanism” (Oromia Liberation Army – ‘Abiy Ahmed, through Shimelis Abdisa, delivered a lacklustre statement riddled with contradictions and empty rhetoric’ 27.11.2024).

We can see how the PM and FDRE are trying to make a scene. They are trying to forge a narrative, which apparently and not surprisingly isn’t true. It is all lies and the PM cannot even speak honestly about who paid for the latest talks with them. He wants to take credit for other people’s hard-earned money. The PM should be grateful that ICRC paid and secured the logistics for the peace talks in Tanzania. Alas, the PM wants accolades for what other people did for him. Therefore, Abiy just showing how he acts and tries to be the golden child, yet again.

We can just wonder what the next lie is and what else Abiy wants to take credit for. That’s who he is and a warlord who proclaims to work for peace. Which we all know is how he operates. That’s why we knew he was lying about things…

It is just addressed with piercing words from OLA-OLF. That’s about time .Peace.
