Eswatini: The Prime Minister’s Personal Spy Novel

“Jeremy Liang, the Taiwan Ambassador allegedly provided funding amounting to over R40million to Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini, part of the money was then used to pay Zimbabwean fugitives who tricked the PM saying they will provide State Intelligence services. As previously reported by this Swaziland News, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini stands accused of issuing diplomatic passports to three (3) Zimbabwean fugitives; Elvis Mugari, Kudakwashe Muchero and Simbarashe Muchero, he was using these fugitives as his own ‘State Intelligence Unit’ after refusing to adhere to genuine advise from State Security experts urging him to terminate ties with these fugitives as they were not credible. After this publication investigated and subsequently exposed the fugitives’ dealings with the Prime Minister, the PM had already paid over R2million public funds to the Zimbabweans, these monies were allegedly meant for security upgrades” (Zweli Martin Dlamini – ‘REVEALED:Taiwan funds Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini’s Zimbabwean fugitives State Intelligence services, over R40million allegedly looted in security upgrades’ 08.04.2025, Swaziland News).

Mbabane is where things are happening, in the Kingdom where the King has total and absolute power. King Mswati III have appointed a Prime Minister and as a custodian of the government that he trusts. As his subject, Russel Mmiso Dlamini has caused controversy. Not like the Taiwanese Ambassador is new to this and has allegedly done similar things before too.

That’s why the PM should be careful, and these sorts of reports doesn’t come out of nowhere. The King should do more checks and ensure the Envoy or Diplomat from Taiwan acts accordingly too. As his supposed to have bribed Members of Parliament too earlier in the year. Therefore, the PM could easily have asked to access similar funds too.

The Ambassador and the Government can claim the funds are supposed to do one thing, but it was wasted by the Prime Minster. The King doesn’t have any accountability and transparency of his wastage of funds. The appointed leadership of King are learning from his example. That’s why the PM is allowed to act alike the King. Instead of wasting taxpayers’ money, his wasting funds given from the Taiwan to Eswatini.

This story if true is a spy novel and a movie in itself. As the PM was willing to take the money and create his fake security detail with fugitives. That is just a mesmerizing story. This sort of story needs to be told and be amplified. There are so many detail, dirty-money and wheeler-dealing that its epic. This was done by the appointed leader who is entrusted this office by the King.

King Mswati III should ring him in, but that’s if his care and such. We know the King isn’t allowing the opposition party PUDEMO to sing songs or eat chicken. However, he allows his PM to eat and play spy-games. Peace.

Ethiopia: The TPLF has bowed down to Abiy with the appointment of Lt. Gen. Tadesse Werede Tesfay

Lieutenant General Tadesse Werede Tesfay have today been appointed as the President of the Tigray Interim Regional Administration (TIRA). The loyalist and fellow cadre of Debretsion Gebremichael’s fraction of the Tigray Peoples’ Liberation Front (TPLF). The ones following and supporting Getachew Reda lost out and he had to step down.

Even if the Prime Minister tried to get eligible President’s for TIRA through email. He still had to accept the fate of the TPLF-D and take in the Commander-in-Chief of the Tigray Defence Force (TDF) and a man that Debretsion trusts. However, the TPLF have signed yet another deal now the Federal Government, which is weakening its strength yet again.

Prime Minister Abiy got an agreement and that keeps the TPLF to keep law and order. That will limit its freedoms and liberties, as it must move and keep up with the Federal Government. That is part of the agreement and acceptance of Lt. Gen. Tadesse Werede Tesfay as the TIRA President after Getachew Reda.

The President has now to not only have to adhere to the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement or the Pretoria Agreement but also must follow the minutes of today’s agreement with the Federal Government. This is adding power and weakening the mandate of the TIRA.

The TPLF and Lt. gen. Tesfay have now signed a new agreement, and they have to adhere to the stipulations in it. Those stipulations were made by the Prime Minister, and they couldn’t negotiate these terms. That means they had to just accept it to get their man in office. This is what happened here, and the losers are the Tigray region. As the TPLF and the new President just must follow the party line or the whims of Addis Ababa. Mekelle isn’t free or able to think on its own.

The people of Tigray should look at what TPLF and the Lt. Gen. accepted today. They signed a second agreement and that will hold them on strings with the PM. That is the gist of it all. They are now bound for the second time and the PM is keeping them in order. This is the gist of it, even if he didn’t get the person of his choice. He still got to order them around and will have that ability from now on. Peace.

Botswana: Former President takes away the agency of every voter

“Botswana Democratic Party President Mokgweetsi Masisi has levelled serious allegations suggesting that diamond giant De Beers played a covert role in financing efforts to change Botswana’s government during the 2024 General Elections, allegedly due to frustrations over tough negotiations with his administration. Without naming specific figures, Masisi hinted that the deal struck with the opposition came at a cost to Batswana, challenging the UDC to come clean about the compromise and the real price paid in exchange for political backing” (The Parrot News Online, 07.04.2025).

The one who was ousted in Gaborone and lost terribly in the recent election. They are the ones that is now calling the current leadership hostage of the De Beers. The diamond giant of Botswana, which has been in negotiations and talks with the predecessor. Therefore, the BDP should be careful about judging Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) now.

Former President Masisi should be worried about he worked with ZANU-PF ahead of the polls and had them actively working for his campaign. That what hurt him the most, as the ZANU-PF wasn’t a favourable party and neither did, they give him legitimacy to continue the over 50-year legacy of the BDP in Botswana. This is why the UDC overcame BDP.

The former wants the people to lose their incentives and reasons for voting for the opposition. They were supposed to blind sheep without agency or even some sense. The people made a decision, and they were tired of the BDP. The BDP had all these years to reign in De Beers and others, if they wanted to, but they never did.

It is time for Masisi to retire, take it easy and move out of the spotlight. Unless he wants to bury the party and ensure the funeral of the former ruling party. Because his just telling stories and narratives to downplay the victory of the UDC. Secondly, his trying to forge a story, which doesn’t make him look like a loser. That gives weight and indignation that he will be able to return to office. However, that train has gone unless his ego pipes down and he changes his ways.

Botswana moved on from BDP and rightfully so, the arrogance and the entitlement wasn’t a given. The alliances and fellow comrades supporting BDP also hurt it even more. UDC showed character and vast difference. The UDC now has to prove their worth, but the BDP isn’t showing itself as a wise opposition. No, it is just showing itself as a bitter loser and lacking decorum. UDC could easily inquire and investigate the years of BDP reign and how it operated with the De Beers. The BDP doesn’t want this… and we all know that.

Masisi needs to find a new way. He also has to understand the sentiment of the voters and why they voted on someone else as him. Time will tell if he ever gets that, but at the moment right now… I doubt he will get that. Peace.

Opinion: Tinkasmiire MP says the silent part out loud about Mzee

“We, as NRM, have unanimously agreed that President Kaguta Museveni will become our flag bearer in 2026 and beyond. What soul-searching do you want us to do?” – Barnabas Tinkasiimire MP (07.04.2025).

The reality is here and now they are open about it. The National Resistance Movement (NRM) are now mentally preparing for yet another term of President Museveni. Not like that is breaking news, as his been in office since January 1986. This is just a scheduled programming and default setting. The whole state and authorities are just preparing for ordinary general elections in 2026, and the results could just be printed tomorrow.

Nothing is new under the sun. Museveni running again… that is just what we all expect. We know the NRM and their leaders will act like they will have primaries or whatnot. However, the results are already there, and the Presidency was ringfenced in the bush.

“Whether the Opposition has a credible candidate or not, we in NRM have a heavyweight candidate (Museveni) He is much better than whoever he has ever stood against” (Tinkasmiire, 07.04.2025).

Tinkasmiire MP is just fishing for relevance and proving his loyalty to the State House. His not a wilding out or speaking out of terms. This here is just kissing the ring. He is just proving that his one of them and wants to be acknowledged for it. The MP is just showing the inner circle that they can depend on him and wants to keep him after the 2026 elections.

The NRM will do their dance and act like they have a Presidential Primary. Nevertheless, there is no competition, and no one will really stand for this role. As we seen how Gilbert Bukenya and Amama Mbabazi was treated for doing so. Also, how Henry Tumukunde was beaten for doing it too. Therefore, the whole party has to follow in line and just act accordingly to the correct line. That’s it.

No one will challenge Museveni and everyone in their right minds knows this. He wouldn’t have changed the Constitution twice for selfish reasons. A man that is willing to do that for himself personally. He won’t make a transition or change the Head of State. Museveni will die in office. That’s the only way his leaving the office. An election won’t do it and we all know it. Peace.

Ghana: N864AM Saga that is haunting the government

“Earlier today, the Minority Caucus held a press conference in Parliament on security related concerns. We called on relevant security agencies to provide details of the cargo suspected to be cocaine and currency, allegedly transported into Ghana from Gran Canaria (an Island in Spain noted for its notoriety in drug trafficking and money laundering) by two suspicious flights namely AirMed Flight N823AM (an air ambulance) and Cavok Air private jet Antonov An-12B which landed in Ghana on March 20 and March 12 respectively and both departed back to Gran Canaria on March 25, 2025 allegedly carrying suspicious cargo” – John Ntim Fordjour MP (01.04.2025).

“The Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has strongly refuted Rev. Ntim Fordjour’s claims that two aircraft involved in drug trafficking and money laundering passed through Ghana, describing the allegations as baseless and a deliberate act of disinformation” (UTV Ghana, 06.04.2025).

“Government Spokesperson, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu releases pictures showing engineers fixing damaged tyres on the landing gear of Air Med Aircraft at the Kotoka International Airport, which was allegedly involved in drug trafficking and money laundering. According to the Minister of state in charge of Government Communications, the damaged parts and engineers were brought in by a different aircraft, reason why it stayed here for five days” (Ghana Talk Radio, 06.04.2025).

In Accra the NDC government are in real trouble here. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has answers to fill, as the speculations and the allegations aren’t going away. The Minority Caucus is right in questioning it and testing the government. That is necessary, as there still unanswered questions remaining here.

Days after the Minority Caucus unleashed this on the people. The government and their people aren’t able to spin it or ability to debunk it either. The plane in question is questionable at best. There are even intelligence and flight records that doesn’t make sense. Therefore, who is lying and for what reason? Is this a cover-up and is the state willing to lie about this?

Just read this one right here…

“The aircraft in question, N864AM, is a Raytheon Hawker 800XP operated by AirMed International, a U.S.-based air ambulance company specializing in medical transport services.  According to comprehensive flight tracking data from aviation monitoring platforms such as Flightradar24 and ADS-B Exchange, there is no record of this aircraft having entered Ghanaian airspace or landing anywhere in the country in recent months. Instead, records from September 2024 through to April 2025 show a consistent pattern of operation within North America and parts of Asia and the Pacific-including Birmingham, AL; Billings, MT; Anchorage, AK; Honolulu, HI; Guam; and Cebu. No flight paths, emergency diversions, or even aircraft signals suggest that this aircraft was ever en route to, or near, West Africa” (Assurance Researchers Limited – ‘Setting the Record Straight: The Misleading Claims About AirMed Aircraft in Ghana, 07.04.2025).

Because this just adds further question, because why are there no flight records of the plane and the Minister has published pictures of mechanics fixing it on the tarmac. There are so much at fault here. As there are so many things that are jaded.

The Ghanian government are at fault here. They are in trouble regardless, because their spin isn’t adding up and the Minority Caucus has caught something. That’s why the flights and planes aren’t even adding up. This means there are a cover-up and a sort of planned misinformation, as the state doesn’t want the truth out. The opposition are tarnishing the government and rightfully so. Therefore, the state is failing here, and everyone is in the rights to call it out.

We know they are lying about the planes, the reasons for the prolonged stay and we can just wonder if there was siphoning money or cocaine involved. If the plane was a part of drug trafficking in Western Africa. Using Ghana as a hub for further destinations. We cannot know that right now, but sooner or later… things will get out. The state isn’t that clever and that’s why their lies are already caught. We just have to wonder when the truth will be revealed or if someone will whistle blow about it. Peace.
