“NUP races to collect signatures from 18 districts after EC flagged gaps in its submissions. Byabakama told Bobi Wine only 80 of 130 districts were valid. Presidential nominations set for next week” (Daily Monitor, 20.09.2025).
The Electoral Commission tries to play smart, but this is a tactic of frustration and of systemic disadvantage the opposition. That’s why the Electoral Commission has singled out National Unity Platform (NUP) and Alliance for National Transformation (ANT). We know His Excellency is all covered and will have no possible breaches or concerns in regard to his candidacy. However, the real challengers of him will.
Those being Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and Mugisha Muntu. These are opposition leaders and they are also vouched for across the spectrum. That’s why NUP and ANT is getting the sabotaging letter just days ahead of nomination. This is to stifle and delay their candidacy. Also, take away valuable time for organizing and planning the up-coming campaigns. Because now the parties and their followers has to travel to the headquarters and file in the signatures again. Just to prove that the candidates have what it takes.
This is foolish games of the EC. It is so deliberate and it isn’t funny. Their plot isn’t even that clever or wise. Only idiots will think they are doing the right thing. The inevitable is there and everyone should accept that. These two was candidates in the previous election and therefore, they know what they are going into.
These sorts of acts are only showing how unfair and unjust the proceedings are. There is nothing about being equal or being sincere about it. No, there is one man who has everything covered, but the rest is tormented through the whole process. This is only the beginning and there will be so much more to come. We will see, blood, sweat and tears. There will be pain and suffering, as a consequence of the elections. That’s what is next and the EC will blindly let it happen in the name of the glorious incumbent Museveni.
The ones accepting this fate and accepting these sorts of actions. They should ask themselves, if they could carry this burden and plights of others. Are you out of your mind? Would you like your brother and sister to touched by this system of oppression? Seriously?
Well, the games of signatures will soon be over. After that is blocked venues, radioes and whatnot, whatever the RDCs and ISO is able silence. That’s just how it goes and we can see it coming. These people aren’t playing and they are reckless about it too. Therefore, just expect them to bow down to the King, while the peasants suffer. Peace.

Where is he? Where are you keeping him?
It has been 24 days since he was abducted and kidnapped in Mbarara at the NIM Hotel, as he was scheduled to take the bus to Kampala. So, the authorities and the state is playing the long game. Taking everyone for fools.
Where is Sam Mugumya?
Where is he?
What location and what state is he in?
We need to know and these sorts of games aren’t fun. It just shows the sinister side of the state and how it operates. As the state are willing to do this to a citizen and activist, a man who intended to start his campaign to run for office. A person who has fought for years and been a prisoner of conscience. That is happening again. If someone has the will and strength to be incarcerated. His one of them, but that doesn’t justify it. No, this has to be resolved.
Free Sam Mugumya and where is he?
We need to know. We need to hear from him and see him again. He is captured and detained. We need to know why and on what charges. Peace.
