The United Nations Security Council held a special session today, Monday, November 18, 2024, to discuss Sudan. During the session, Britain and Sierra Leone presented a draft resolution. The resolution included provisions calling for an end to the war in Sudan, condemnation of human rights violations, accountability for perpetrators, delivery of humanitarian aid, and implementation of the Jeddah Declaration. Russia exercised its veto power and voted against the resolution, while all 14 remaining council members voted in favor.
We, in the Coordination-body of The Democratic & Civil Forces “Taqaddum,” commend the efforts made by Britain and Sierra Leone in drafting the resolution. We also extend our gratitude to all 14 member states that voted in favor and urge them to continue their endeavors to help end the war, protect civilians, and deliver humanitarian aid in Sudan.
We express our resounding condemnation of Russia’s position, which serves as a cover for the continuation of massacres in Sudan, obstructs efforts to address the world’s worst humanitarian disaster, and leaves the Sudanese people grappling with hunger, disease, and poverty. Russia’s use of the veto to block a resolution endorsed by the three African representatives on the Security Council exposes the falsity of its claims of support for the causes of the Global South and its peoples.
We in “Taqadum” view the high-level attention and global consensus witnessed during today’s Security Council session—regrettably blocked by one country in the contraction of its responsibilities toward international peace and security—as a glimmer of hope for the Sudanese people. It signifies that the world is beginning to comprehend the magnitude of the catastrophe unfolding in our country and stands ready to help achieve peace in Sudan.
We affirm our unwavering determination to continue tirelessly working to alleviate the suffering of our people through all available means. We will persist in our efforts, both inside and outside Sudan, to end the war and address its consequences in a comprehensive and just manner.

“Entebbe Chief Magistrate Stella Amabilisi has sentenced TikToker Nabugodi Emmanuel to two years and eight months in Kigo prison. Nabugodi, who pleaded guilty, was charged with insulting President Museveni through a video he posted on his TikTok account, @rice027. The video, shared in September 2024, was deemed to demean and degrade the president, promoting hostility against him. The incident occurred in Wakiso District, after which Nabugodi went into hiding in the Bugisu subregion. Following weeks of tracking, police arrested him in Mbale” (What’s Up Mbale, 18.11.2024).
It is a doggy dog world and who let the dogs out? Woo wooo, who let the dogs out?
The Judge of the Dog Nation was arrested, detained and now is sentenced for insulting President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The Republic is in a sorry state when a guy makes his own Kangaroo Court on TikTok, but Teacher Mpamire is walking on holy grounds. You just know there is one law for Peter and another for Paul. We have seen that in other instances too, but this is just the gist of it.
The content creator was unlucky to not have good counsel or good representation. As he was bound for failure. The video in question is satire. The TikTok itself isn’t mentioning any names or such. So, the man should have gotten off the hooks on technicalities. Regardless, they wanted to make an example out of him. Just like they did to others before him. There is only one chief blogger in the nation and that’s His Excellency himself.
So, please get at me dog. Well, there is a lot of barking going on. Certainly the authorities do bite. They sniff one out and then decide to retaliate with their attack. That is showing here.
The ones justifying it is either naive or content with the status quo. Because they are getting worried about TikTok getting 20,000 followers and spreading his content online. Certainly this is a way of silencing him and stopping him progress. As they want people to only follow the NRM Way and not be left astray.
It is really showing the character of the state… and who they really are. When someone of this stature and with this sort of following is getting charged and sentenced like this. When they are making an example of him and giving him such a harsh sentence. It just shows who they are and what the state does now.
Rice027 shouldn’t get this punishment. The state should wonder why people are making skits and comedy like this. The state should be concerned with why they are doing it and for what reason. Secondly, why people find it funny and why it resonate with the people. That’s what it should have done. Even question the man for his motivation and why he does this value-addition and over-the-top entertainment to being with. Instead they are making him a felon and a criminal. It is just showing how limited freedom and liberties there are in the Republic. When you can’t make a mock court and be a mocking judge. That is too far…
The party of liberation cannot even stomach just that. The Liberator and the Freedom Fighter cannot handle the Dog Nation. Peace.

“Ethiopia, the capital of Africa and the beacon of freedom for black people, is making special preparations to welcome guests who will participate in the African Union Summit in February with warm hospitality and an excellent reception. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to welcome, train, and deploy volunteer protocol cadets for various protocol duties in this program, which will create a good opportunity to showcase the positive image of our country” (Ministry of Foreign Affairs – ‘Notice Call for Volunteering Service’ 18.11.2024).
First I got to say it’s bold of the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ask for volunteers for the African Union Summit coming this February. That’s bold and the manner of which is done is astonishing. They should reflect on it and reconsider their approach.
The FDRE aren’t in a good space right now. The current regime is a vengeful pack and lead by a warlord. They are embroiled in conflicts which are sparking more turmoil from within. The ideals of consolidating power and annihilating enemies are creating more hostility, and less peaceful atmosphere across the Republic. Therefore, the words chosen by the MoFA is out of bound with reality.
Secondly, Addis Ababa is maybe a political hub like Brussels of Europe, but is a self-proclaimed “Capital” of the continent. That is a big word and titles just to make them look supreme.
Thirdly, the FDRE and the current Prosperity Party isn’t known for being the “beacon of freedom”. If you associate with the wrong ethnic group. You can easily get detained, tortured or even being extra judicially killed. This government can silence the press and take away all liberties under the guise of rule of law. That’s why those words are meaningless and worthless, if this government believes they are just that in 2024.
Fourth, the FDRE must take people for fools when it wants to “showcase the positive image of our country”. That’s just tinfoil hat nonsense, as it wants to band-aid and drink the kool-aid to forget all the suffering, mischief and the disingenuous ways of this government. Like a few acts of goodwill and good faith can publicly take away the misuse of power, the massacres, the destruction and the will of warfare against its own. That’s who they are and a few friendly faces in Addis Ababa won’t change the narrative.
It is really impressive that the MoFA published this “notice” and thought it was a good idea. Like we don’t know about the bloodshed and the tyranny of this current government. That we don’t know how it operates and ensures people’s early death. It is really amazing that it think it can lead people into folly and take away their brutal acts that easily. We can’t forget the dead or the ones scorn by the powers to be. Those are the ones who has to answer for their demise, their pain and suffering. This is why we can’t forget it. It was on the watch of this Prime Minister and his lackeys. They all danced, celebrated and held parties on the graves. Meanwhile the PM himself said the deceased made good soil for his green trees. So, we know where his heart remains as well.
That is the sort of character and charlatan that wants the world to believe these people are fighting for freedom, liberty and justice for all. No, it does not and it isn’t concerned about that. It is more concerned about the fragile ego of one man and his wishes to be the next crowned king. That’s who they are working for and his every whim. That’s who they are and they cannot run away from the fact now.
In the next episode we should talk about bullets and bread. That’s more fitting in regard to the FDRE. Peace.

“Who is going to prevent me, the guarantor of the nation, from initiating the process of revising or changing the Constitution?” (…) “I confirm that next year I will set up a commission to reflect on the Constitution. No one is going to change my position on the revision or change of the Constitution” (…) “I did not come to the head of Congo to stay in power forever. I only think about the happiness of my people. What I said in Kisangani had absolutely no connection with any 3rd term. But you have heard that this famous opposition, which has nothing to offer, and which had bitten the dust very seriously during the last elections, is seeking to manipulate the population by saying no to the 3rd term. Who spoke to them about a 3rd term?” – President Félix Tshisekedi (16.11.2024).
The son of Etienne is planning to revise the Constitution. The UDPS who worked so hard to stop Joseph Kabila from doing the same. They demonstrated and renegaded against the Kabila government and his plans to extend his stay over the two terms.
Now, Fatshi is planning to do the same, as his already elected for his second term. He wants to ensure and give reasons for a third one. That’s why the clock is ticking, and he needs to do it swiftly enough. Just so he reached the timeline and has all the procedure checked before it is ratified into law.
The people of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) should be aware of what the Head of State plans to do. He speaks of it and expects no pushback. When his party and his father’s legacy is on the line. Now his trading away that to ensure longevity of his reign.
Fatshi won’t revise the Constitution for the semantics, but for real change for personal purpose. I doubt he will do it for the betterment and for systematic changes for long-term goals. As if, a man who is already in the middle of his second term. We have seen these sorts of things happening before and we shouldn’t be shocked.
There was an outcry when Joseph Kabila postponed and didn’t push for elections. People called for him to go. Fatshi will do this to linger and prolong his stay in office. The ones believing the current leadership are naïve. He won’t retire or such. No, he will do it.
We have heard similar words from others who has later altered the Constitution for their benefit. This is the same script and just a new location. It is just halting or looking like it doesn’t happen. Making it seem like a bigger picture, but the golden ticket is in revising it or revisioning one article in the constitution.
A third term is eminent…. And we can just await the next turn. President Tshisekedi is earning coins on it. We can just await the next move and where it goes. Nothing new is under the sun and the son of the Etienne are now willing to soil his legacy yet again. Peace.
