South Sudan: Joint Command Council (JCC) – Nimule’s Civilians Evacuation Order (15.10.2023)

“Vurra County MP, Adriko Yovan, has been arrested and imprisoned at Arua Government Prison due to his failure to settle a debt of over UGX 55m, which he borrowed from Jubilee Finance Limited in 2021. His arrest was carried out in compliance with a court order, and he is now facing a 6-month prison term” (NTV Uganda, 14.10.2023).
Yovan MP isn’t new to the game of politics. No, his been in it long. The National Resistance Movement (NRM) MP for Vurra County who served as LCIII Chairman for 15 years and retired already in 2011. He won the NRM Primaries in 2020 ahead of incumbent and State Minister Gabriel Ajedra Aridru. Who had been MP for Arua County between 2011 – 2016 and would be re-elected in Vurra County 2016 – 2021. While he lost the NRM Primary, which meant his second term was the final one for now.
That just means that Yovan as a candidate had to spurge funds to beat and compete with Aridu and the other candidates in the Primaries. He also had to use funds to ensure victory in the General Elections in 2021. Which he won and then got the perks of office. The MP is vastly paid and has plenty of stipulated revenue sources, because of him being Parliament. That’s why it’s weird his defaulting on the loan he made.
A basic MP in the 11th Parliament without extra allowances or mileage allowances gets around 11 million shillings every month. That’s without additional funds or payments, which happens on a semi-regular basis. That is known and is expected in the role of MPs, as the state pays them off to vote in favour of legislation or other government business. Therefore, the MP should have had capacity do pay down on the loans and the interests too. Without defaulting or failing to honour his debt.
We know that the campaigning can be expensive and some MPs are spending like drunk sailors before the polls. There been records of MPs spending over 500 million shillings in only 51 days. Others being up to 850 million shillings on one campaign alone before the General Elections in 2021. Therefore, the wildcard bet of campaigning and trying to be (re)-Elected can be vicious beast.
We don’t know how much Yovan MP spent to become one. Because, you pay fees to enter in the Primaries and in the General. Plus you pay for staff, merchandize and electioneering in general. That comes with a cost and voter tourism/briberies aren’t cheap either. This is why the idea of running and such has to be able to either loan or get funds organically. To think that is for everyone, your thinking wrong. Everyone cannot get credit this high or have the promise of returns on investment. There are many who falls short and becomes prey to the cycle of elections.
The MP in question surely borrowed more than he could handle. This cannot be his only creditor, because he has funds to pay with and could have paid instalments at least. However, that seemingly haven’t happen and now the bills comes to haunt him. Well, we shouldn’t feel sorry for him. He decided to do this and run.
The MP has to answer for this one himself… and it’s his burden to carry. No one else is responsible for it. That’s the gist of it and he chose this way. Peace.

“The rulers of today should have learned from the past. The Ethiopian people are in trouble, famine and problems by rulers who don’t care about the problems, hunger and poverty. In the past few years, especially in Somali and Oromia due to the drought caused by many of our people have died of hunger and problems. Our farmers have died of cattle. The Ethiopian people didn’t want to feel the damage the drought caused to our country’s “road to prosperity” or it is considered to be one of the ways to reduce the population. Today, in the war that happened in the northern part of our country, the power of the manufacturers is waging war, wasting poison and harvesting seasons for years in war, loss of peace, on the instructions of the veterans, slaughtering of oxen and eating, burning of grain fields, … Tigray, Amhara region, Afar, … Underestimate them, he has made the people weak. How can you produce in a place where there is no peace even if there is no drought? The people of Tigray and Amhara are starving because of the ongoing war and drought in Amhara region. A large number of our people have died because of hunger and are dying” (Enat Party, All Ethiopian Unity Party (AEUP), Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Party (EPRP), Amhara Ghinoians Movement and One Ethiopia Democratic Party, 13.10.2023).
The opposition parties are now calling alarm and the ones caring for Ethiopia should be worried. Because, we know that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali is against “wheat aid” and everyone associated with it. It is destroying his narratives and rise of “prosperity”. While the truth is more grim and dark.
The constant conflicts and internal bickering haven’t created a positive atmosphere. He has planted some trees, but also spread violence across the board. Nearly every region has been hit by his massive plunder, blistering arrogance and usage of force. Nothing has been left untouched and that’s why the opposition are writing these words in 2023.
These words needs to be amplified, because it’s a stern warning and people’s lives at stake. They are dying of hunger, while the PM is busy exporting wheat. That’s the great tragedy here and it’s just like in the Soviets time. When the leader talked of great harvest, but let millions starve in parts of the Soviet Union. The same story repeats itself here, but in Ethiopia instead.
Just continue to read…
“Continuous rulers of our country don’t learn from the past and present rulers that “a drum is beautiful when they see it, and disturbing when they hold it” because they repeat the mistakes and crimes of the past rulers, we have reached a point where we are now being creators for the people to rise against them and to take away their power by force. Today the war, drought, pestilence, displacement, the drought and hunger that occurred in Tigray and Amhara regions is taking away the lives of many of our citizens. This famine happened in the year Ethiopia exported wheat for the first time in history. The government of prosperity has turned its face away from our people in order not to degrade the appearance of a country that is led by prosperity and is working to make it look like nothing happened. Even our people who have not been affected by drought are facing the high cost of living and millions of people are starving” ((AEUP), Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Party (EPRP), Amhara Ghinoians Movement and One Ethiopia Democratic Party, 13.10.2023).
This statement from the opposition parties needs to be heard. Because we know these sorts of tales wouldn’t be told by the regime or the Prosperity Party for that matter. It just needed to be shared, as the consequences are so dire. The problems surrounding the government and all the turmoil it is facing. Amidst the drought, famine and starvation the nation is currently in. that is all a consequence of the warfare and conflicts. This all comes to a head now. The voices of the opposition needs to be heard, as they speak of things the Republic doesn’t want to say. That’s why I use my platform to amplify it, because it needs to be told.
This draught, famine and starvation needs to be told. Lives is at stake and the world needs to know now. Peace.

“Ethiopia is an island surrounded by water, but [it is] a country that is thirsty. The whole surrounding of our country is water, but we are thirsty. Why? While there is plenty of rain, underground water, …the Indian Ocean down there and Red Sea up there…why is water our problem while we are surrounded by water?” – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali (14.10.2023)
Eritrea and Asmara are you ready for this? That’s what I am wondering about. The Ethiopian Prime Minister isn’t even subtle about it. Not that his known for being so. His a warlord and an ally in the war of the Tigray region. So, Asmara and Addis Ababa have been close over the recent years. However, with these sorts of statements. Well, Shabait and other entities within Eritrea would react with remorse and buyers remorse at that.
Just hear more from the PM!
“You[Ethiopia] were 50 million then; by 2030 you will be 150 million. A population of 150 million can’t live in a geographic prison” he underscored. “If we don’t talk about the Red Sea issues, we will as much not talk about wheat, green legacy, tax collection…[if we have accomplished all these] and lose it due to [not discussing] Red Sea, it’s meaningless. So let’s discuss it. If we decided It is not the time or it’s not useful, we will drop it. But why are we scared of discussing it is the thing, because no one is scared of us when it comes to the issue of the Nile. No one” (Abiy, 14.10.2023).
It is just so compelling now. The man is saying it and isn’t even blinking an eye. The Prosperity Party and the PM is issuing threats. His saying it out loud and that is the beginning. As the State and the Authorities are preparing the people mentally of the needs. That they need the Red Sea and stop being landlocked. This is the new prestige project after going after the Tigray and Amhara resistance…
Certainly, the PM knows the cost and his an ally of Eritrea. They have worked together and shared intelligence around the table. These has knowledge and know the gist of things. It would be bloody and a massive suffering. The advantage on some instances is for Eritrea, as they are already inside the territories and has armed battalions in the Tigray region. Therefore, to start a war over the Red sea would be detrimental.
If you thought the wars and conflicts against the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), Tigray Defence Force (TDF) or Amhara Popular Front (APF) would be bad for the Ethiopian National Defence Force (ENDF). The ENDF would meet another level of warfare from the Eritrean Defence Force (EDF). As they are well trained and has already assaulted civilians in Tigray. They know the lands and has knowledge that was given them. Theses army commanders knows the strengths and weaknesses of the ENDF. That’s why an issued war over the Red Sea would be devastating…
Abiy says he wants to discuss it. However, it has been slowly brewing for years. The creating of NAVY logo and dry-dock training just shows it. The ENDF and the FDRE wants it badly. However, it is not granted to them. That’s what is frightening here, as Abiy is a warlord and he thrives in conflict. He prefers bullets and blood. His not a man of peace, but tries to act that’s the end goal. While the real end goal is consolidation of power.
Now the next goal is the Red Sea. After all the internal conflict and crisis from within. He needs an outside problem that he can solve, which also be by the barrel of the guns. The guns will smoke, because I doubt the Eritrean as a sovereign would allow Ethiopia to conquer or get anything that’s theirs now. Peace.

As a man… I feel sorry for Will Smith right now. The way his been a punching bag and a laughing stock over the years. That surely culminated and got addressed at the Oscar’s last year, which has in turn stopped his career.
Will Smith has gone from an icon and a well established rapper into a joke. A simp or mockery of man. His wife or now ex-wife for years, Jada Pinkett Smith has used every opportunity to dismantle, destroy and humiliate him. While he has been cordial and stood by her side.
Will has been a stand up in guy in public. We never know what has happened behind closed doors. Except for the leaks and the talks around the Red Table. That social media show has unravelled a lot of things. As well as the steady releases of small tapes or videos from Jada. However, we can never say we have the whole picture.
Will Smith should be acknowledged and talked highly off. A man who came poor from Philadelphia and made himself a superstar. A rapper who sold records as Fresh Prince and his own namesake. Created an acting career and got an Oscar for it too. It’s not like Will Smith haven’t earned his currency and been good at it too.
While the ex-wife has tarnished his reputation. Haunted him with the Ghost of Tupac and done whatever possibly to muddy the waters. It is like she has so much spite and anger, because she married him and got kids by him. That’s how it seems…
However, without Will… no one and nobody would really talk about Jada. Jada’s career is based on her association with Will. As a woman and individual, that might hurt, but at this point it is a fact. No one has gone to the movies in decades to Jada star in it. Neither has any of her enterprises been vindicating either. She has been able to live of Will and that’s been her juice.
While she has used every opportunity to blow him out of the water. Now she is even tarnishing him further over the Oscar slap of Chris Rock. Like he haven’t paid enough price for that. Now it seems he did it all over nothing. It is like has a PTSD and just snapped over too much ridicule. Who knows? But something got to give.
Will Smith deserves better and Jada just earns currency on his downfall. She’s partying on his grave and hoping to revive Tupac at the same time. It is just despicable and disrespectful to the living and the dead. Jada should know better, but that’s too much to ask as well.
Will Smith to his credit has carried on in silence. He is awaiting his turn and suddenly he will come through. As the scandals unfold and the mockery continues. He should get acknowledged for his resilience and that he hasn’t acted in spite in public. Because the way Jada has done this… it’s unreal and total destruction of him.
That’s why I am on Team Will and Jada should enlighten herself for a minute. Think of the costs and the burden she has been to Will. However, the narcissist won’t do that and she’s her for the petty profits. Peace.

In N’Djamena there is no peace and calm, as they are fearing a man in exile. They have appointed up to a thousand of Generals. The junta government has done what it can consolidate power. However, one man in opposition who fled after a brutal crackdown in October 2022. Are now sparking flair.
As he promised to return to Tchad on an unspecific date in August 2023. Succès Masra, the Exiled Politician and maverick is still causing heartache. As his messages on social media is out of control of the regime.
They are fearing him so much, the leader of the “Transformers Party” that they are now telling all airlines to inform the authorities about whose on the planes. They are not allowing him to enter or board a plane. That’s why the Republic needs to know in advance.
This is how much they fear him and his message. They have to await his return and they will pick him up in bracelets. That’s the message here. If not… they tell the airline to let him disembark and be stuck at the airport, as his name and individual is flagged.
Gen. Kaka the inherited prince and self-proclaimed King of Tchad clearly isn’t a wise man. His a man of guns and ammo. He knows how to fight a war, but not how to build confidence. Certainly, he can appoint a thousand generals, but not get popular. He took over from his father who died on the battlefield.
He can go to battle and fight in military terms, but on the political area his naked. His not capable or has the capacity to show finesse. If he did… he would meet Masra heads on in campaigns, rallies or even demonstrations. However, we know that isn’t how this game is played. We know Gen. Kaka cannot stomach it and is apparently regarding himself the most high.
The authorities of N’Djamena is losing out and making a mockery of themselves. Telling airlines in efforts of stopping one man to return. They are really afraid and frightened of his message. That’s a fact, because why bother to go this far and this extent, if you are not afraid of someone. His messages has to be violence for the regime. It is telling a tale that they don’t want hear. That’s why they are targeting him.
Masra has made himself a name and certainly is respected. If not… he would have just returned and nobody would have cared. Peace.
