Opinion: Yanukovych is proving the world that his Putin’s little bitch

MOSCOW, March 8 — RIA Novosti. Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych appealed to Volodymyr Zelensky with an appeal to stop the bloodshed at any cost. “I am well aware that you have many ‘advisers’, but you personally owe it to stop the bloodshed at all costs and reach a peace agreement. This is expected of you in Ukraine, Donbass and Russia, “the appeal says, the text of which was received by RIA Novosti” (…) ““I want to call out to Volodymyr Zelensky in a presidential and even a little paternal way. Vladimir Alexandrovich, you probably dream of becoming a real hero! But heroism is not ostentatious, it is not about fighting to the last Ukrainian. He is in self-sacrifice, in defeating his own pride and ambitions for the sake of saving people’s lives,” the ex-president said” (RIA Novosti – ‘Yanukovych appealed to Zelensky’ 08.03.2022).

It is the 13th Day of the Russian-Belorussian Invasion of Ukraine. Just like the invasion isn’t going forward in the speed that the Russian need. The advances isn’t as great or the results aren’t to the fitted programme. As it was reported that they needed to take Ukraine by the 15th Day. However, by today’s standing… the amounting battlefields are far from easy picking and neither is the resolve of the Russian army up to par.

It is really interesting that this letter is released in the Russian media, by the man that is the planned Russian successor of President Volodmyr Zelensky. This is the man that Putin trusts and wants in office. Because, he knows his corrupt and a gullible to the interests of Moscow. The letter itself proves that and he defends the Russian invasion of Ukraine here.

He is writing like it is President Zelensky’s fault for the bloodshed and the atrocities in Ukraine. Alas, the Russian army is the invaders and the ones coming in with the army to their territory. It is not the other way around. It is not Zelensky who order the bombing of Ukrainian cities or towns. No, that is the Russian-Belorussian armies, which does that on the regular now. They sending missiles, bombs and heavy artillery into urban areas. Which inflict harm, damage and destruction. That is not Zelensky’s fault, but Putin who has ordered this war.

Viktor Yanukovych is siding with the armies that is invading Ukraine. That is what this letter is implying. He has accepted that Russia can annex and take territory from Ukraine. This isn’t shocking, as he traded away the rights of Sevastopol to the Russian Federation back in 2010. So, this man is willing to trade away all the rights of Ukraine, as long as he has a personal standing and pivotal position in Kremlin. That’s the sort of fella he is and therefore, the letter he has written is tainted. A betrayal of the sovereignty of Ukraine.

While Yanukovych is speaking of heroics, his practically the villain or hired mercenary of Putin. His the pawn on the chess-set and the figurehead of the Kremlin. The former President isn’t loyal to Kyiv or Ukraine. That is so clear and his taunting words is only defending the Russian ideals of the war. Which shows where his heart lays.

He is Putin’s little bit… it is tragic, but that is the reality here. Yanukovych could have been his own man and carried himself. However, that’s the choice his made and it’s evident for the whole world to see. Peace.

UPC Regional Chairman for Bunyoro Kajura Amooti arrested over an unknown social media post

UPC regional Chairman for Bunyoro, Matias Kajura is under police custody following some post on one social media group kangabaije, it’s alleged he rubbed security the wrong way the CISO and RCC ordered for his arrest. We strongly condemn this act of intimidation and abuse of freedom of expression and association. We demand his unconditional release because Chairman Matias Kajura Amooti is not and can never be a threat to the security of Bunyoro which he serves with passion. Freedom of expression should not be abused and we won’t let it happen under our watch here in Bunyoro. Intimidation and arrogance will be fought to the marrow. Bunyoro is predominantly NRM, but we have freedom of association and we should learn to be tolerant and accommodate divergent opinion” (Enyunyuzi za Bunyoro, 07.03.2022).

This news reached me through Andrew Omara on Twitter. It wasn’t causing headlines or stir elsewhere. It is a need… because it is clear that Matias Kajura Amooti is arrested for his political aspirations and conscience.

That makes him a political prisoner or a prisoner of conscience. There is even reports that he possible is bare-feet and kept in an unknown location. His kept like so many others in the Republic in incommunicado.

Whatever he wrote on the Kangabaije group shouldn’t matter. It would be interesting to read it or see a screenshot of it. Since, it would be interesting to see what got him into trouble. We have in the past seen texts, which is offending the President and his Son. Which has been enough to offend and be called “offensive communication”. This time around there is not in the public or known. Only that the man is arrested and taken into custody.

This is worrying, but follows a pattern of the state. Which is more reckless and easily can detain people without court orders or warrants. There is no proof or reason for charges at this current time. There is only wild speculation, which isn’t any good. However, I doubt he was arrested on solid grounds.

This is just another us of a drone in 2022. Peace.

Opinion: Mzee says it colonialists fault for him torturing civilians today…

Asked to comment on Kakwenza’s, and other critics’ torture allegations, Museveni said that he has confirmed some incidents of torture although he had not yet followed up on the former’s case. “It is true that some people were tortured. I have not confirmed on that one (Kakwenza), but I have confirmed some other cases, and I took it up,” Museveni said. Adding, “You see, part of the problems of Africa is capacity building, we are building armies and security forces. These sometimes come with traditional ideas from the village or they get imported ideas from the former colonialists. For instance, the Police Force which was here during the colonial times; they were using those methods.”” (Jonah Kirabo – ‘Museveni blames Kakwenza’s torture on traditional ideas, colonialism’ 07.03.2022, Nile Post).

We are living in 2022 and the Republic was liberated in 1962. It has been 50 years since the United Kingdom held the Republic of Uganda as it’s protectorate. The “British enclave” which President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni usually refers it too. That’s why it’s astonishing that a man who has held power since 1986. Is blaming the relics of old, as if he couldn’t have changed it or the traditions of the security agencies in the Republic. If that was true… then his really powerless in office.

I have already proven in previous articles through human rights reports, that the National Resistance Army and National Resistance Movement has used torture as a method all through its’ reign. Yes, the NRM has enacted laws that makes it illegal. While the same government keeps institutions, safe-houses and organizations unaccountable for torturing civilians without due process or legal justification.

There is clear indication that the Security Agencies are using torture, keeping citizens incommunicado and kidnapping them. Just like the “Panda Gari’s” did and we in this day and age call them “drones”. While the citizens are kept in dungeons, safe-houses and whatnot where they are tortured with methods that is “Kandooya”, which is still prevalent to this day. Therefore, the President can claim “colonialists” inspired this, but he instead has kept the operation and the means of Amin. That’s the tragedy here… which he claims to have ushered in a new era post Amin and Obote II governments.

Museveni promised a “fundamental change” but only difference was a bus and a “heroic” tale of 27 guns of the NRA. The rest is just hogwash and sold out ideals on the alter of massive wealth for the inner-circle of the President. The rest is hanging and getting breadcrumbs of the initial promises of old. The pledges and promises haven’t been kept and the governing is more of the same. While dissidents, activists and political opponents are meeting the grave reality of harassment, torture and legal jeopardy, as they try to stand tall in a battle of the political space. Therefore, NRM and Museveni haven’t achieved or made it possible to be better.

The Museveni era and reign will be remembered for the amount of pain, suffering and hurt it has caused. The damaged lives, the loss of limbs and the suffering that certain parts of the Republic has. While others been living lavish in Kololo or elsewhere. Because, they was part of the elite and the clientele that served the President wisely.

The rest is getting the blunt and unforgiving force. They can all be taken away, swiftly and eruptly without any forewarning or warrants on their heads. No, the state can just take them and punish them for their political stance or their opinion online. It is enough justification to go after someone and take them down. Since they offended the Don or his avenging Son.

That’s why it’s hard to believe that this is the fault of others. When the system is built by the means of His Excellency and he has never disbanded these efforts. Peace.
