Nigeria: President Muhammadu Buhari letter to Govenor of Kebbi State Abubakar Bagudu (16.03.2022)

The rebellious masses of the people,
Greetings to the masses of the Sudanese people as they continue day and night in protest and rejection of the coup despite the repression, killing and abuse, demanding the city of the state.
We do not fail to bow in respect to the beacons of knowledge, the country’s teachers and educators, as they fight the battle for change, continuing their valiant strike and their strong, solid stances.
Our scholars and writers,
We in the Forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change have been throughout the previous period and are still studying and evaluating the experience of that we consider it a wealth of negatives, as well as positives and estimates in which it is wrong and right, and it bears many of the inconveniences that we bear the burden of,
And the successes that every believer in change shares with us, we discuss in this space a critique of our experience in the period of transition and democratic transformation that ended with the coup of October 25, 2021 AD.
We will put our effort into evaluating the experience of our people in order to develop shared visions for the future.

“Jigjiga without fuel and public transport stalled. Unprecedented Fuel Remains in Somali Region, Traffic Strikes Prime Minister Abi Ahmed has blamed the local government for the lack of fuel and corruption in the Somali region. Local fuel is sold to regional administrations in Somalia, with the involvement of a corrupt local administration” (Heego24 News, 14.03.2022).
The indication that a Federal Government and a Regional Government is clueless about what they are doing. Is easy to indicate when you read about what is currently happening and how things are handled. The Prosperity Party in Addis Ababa and the Regiona Government led by local puppet Mustafe Omer. Who is clearly not up for the levels of responsibility and neither able to coordinate the needs for the Ogaden (Somali Region).
That is very easy to assess after reading about the drivers, which are the ones who getting the fuel to the region. They experience and the reports from a Danish Aid Agency how things are looking in concern to the drought. Which most likely has been forewarned by FAO and other international agencies ahead of the happening. These mechanisms tends to possible navigate these things and give a set of options for the Federal Government and Regional Government. If they care about the consequence, if such happens. Alas, there been zero fucks given and that is evident. Which is why the Ogaden region is having a double crisis at ones.
Reported from Nuur Xaaji Faqid:
“Complaints from Somali Regional Drivers.
Drivers in the somali area upon their arrival at the fuel depot in Djibouti, departing upon arrival kabri-bayah, is added to the army and delivered to Ararso. It was taken from Ararso by another army and they also reached Dhagah-Buur. It is being carried out by another force and will also be deployed to Kabri-dahar. As the Drivers told us every troop that slipped away wanted money and if not given it would not pass the car so they had to pay and give the soldiers a ride. So is it possible to send a soldier and then go to ten districts one by one and give each one money?” (16.03.2022).
DERF with Alter Note:
“OFROSOM has submitted an alert to DERF regarding worsening of the severe drought in Somali Region, Ethiopia. The areas affected are the Somali Region in Ethiopia and most parts of SNNP and Sidama, as well as across the lowlands of southern Oromia, particularly in Bale, East Bale, Borena, Guji and West Guji zones. West and Haro Guduru Wollega zones of Oromia Region. According to the Regional Drought Response Plan for the Horn of Africa of Jan 2022, Somali Region is the most drought affected part of Ethiopia and an estimated 3,7 million people of Somali Region will require relief, which corresponds to 59% of the Somali Region population. Overall, the impact of the drought on pastoralist and agro-pastoralist communities in eastern and southeastern Ethiopia continues to deepen. A recent needs assessment in East Hararge Zone (Oromia) indicates that some 627,000 people across 11 woredas require urgent water assistance” (DERF – ‘22-006-SP Alert Note Worsening Severe Drought in Somali Region, Ethiopia (Not Activated)’ 11.03.2022).
Things will only get worse before they get better. As the state is busy scheming their own deals, instead of actually delivering what the citizens needs. The Prosperity Party and the Federal Government is blaming the regional government. While none of them is finding solutions. Meanwhile the drivers in a horrible position. Where they have to bribe anyone to get things through all the districts to reach Ogaden. This is making things costly, as well, as the international costs are rising on fuel. Which is all ensuring the negative results when coming to Ogaden in the first place.
The region lacks not only rain and food. It lacks fuel to transport water for furthering production of possible food. That says something and shows that things are dire. There is a need and there is no signs of changes anytime soon. The Federal Government and Regional Government should cooperate on this and find a resolve. In such a fashion, that ensure the livelihoods and the possible food-safety of the Ogaden. Alas, that seems to be not important and a quest the leaders wants to dodge. Hoping the international community and the aid organizations can cover their behinds. Because, this is reckless and show that they are not valuing life. Since, life is so easily to throw away and not support in the hour of need. A drought can easily turn into a famine… especially, when everything surrounding it is utter silence and inaction.
That’s what the Prime Minister is giving and what the Regional President is serving the citizens of the Ogaden region. Peace.

“They are trying to bet on a so-called fifth column, on traitors of the nation, on those who earn money here but live over there. And live there not just in a geographic sense, but in their minds and their consciousness which is that of slaves. I don’t judge those with villas in Miami or the French Riviera. Or who can’t get by without oysters or foie gras or so-called ‘gender freedoms.’ The problem is they mentally exist there, and not here, with our people, with Russia. They think this places them in a higher caste” – President Vladimir Putin (16.03.2022).
This is striking, unique and shows how his state of mind is these days. As the sanctions are hitting the economy hard. The wealth of the oligarchs is at stake and their foreign assets is ceased. Their investments, companies and all things are crashing. Not only the opportunities to have visa abroad, but all the money cannot buy them a life there now.
This means the wealth generated by the businesses and transactions in Russia. Cannot by the hegemony or lavish life in the West. We know Londongrad has been an issue, but Russian oligarchs has been involved in all parts of the West. That has been issue for a long time and the Russian money has funnelled across the continents.
It is really striking that Putin says this. We wouldn’t be shocked, if he has estates or assets across the globe. We wouldn’t be shocked, if he has vast accounts filled with massive amount of wealth in tax-havens like Switzerland or anywhere else. That would just make sense after all of these years in office.
President Putin and the Oligarchs has been a marriage of convenience. Where the oligarchs has enjoyed massive profits on the industries and resources of Russia. While they have supported and ensured the stability, which has been a needed political currency that Putin has thrived on. Now the sanctions are biting and the rich backers of the regime is hurting. They are losing stocks, estates and assets all over. Their riches is withering away and lost because of the invasion of Ukraine.
Now, he who has needed them and gotten support of them. Now, he tells them not to be associated or worried about the West. A life and an aspect, which has enriched the oligarchs. Where they could spend on lifestyle goods, enjoy holidays in sunny areas of Europe and spend time in skiing resorts in the alps. The oligarchs could taste Hollywood, BAFTA sand Cannes without any issues, as they we’re living lives that no one else could.
That’s why Putin is afraid that the luxurious VIPs feels touched by the sanctions and don’t want to live in micro-USSR issues in Moscow. Where they cant’ drink Coke or have a latte at Starbucks. He is afraid that Western companies leaving Russia and the losses will be a burden to many for the oligarchs. That’s why he speaks of dogma and ethics. Because, of nationalism is now supposed to be more valuable than wealth. This is rich coming from a power-hungry man who has used all means to stay in power. That has changed the laws to ensure his longevity. This is another sort of greed, which he has filled his heart and mind with.
So, when he tries to teach a lesson to the oligarchs. It says something and should be worth to note. As the oligarchs and Putin has all thrived on a beneficial relationship together over the years. They have all traded and it has been profitable. That is the truth.
Putin continued where Yeltsin’s privatization left off and the oligarchs became a class on their own. Now he has to either reign them in or in fear of what they will do, as they are losing their wealth. They are losing their businesses and privileges, which they have become so accustomed too. Peace.

“It is the charges against Tumuhimbise Norman and Faridah Bikobere that are seditious. Both were tortured like the other journalists with whom they were arrested on Thursday 10th March, 2022 and released on police bond yesterday. Remanded to LUZIRA prison until Monday 21/3/2022” (Kiiza Eron, 16.03.2022).
Today the journalists Norman Tumuhimbise and Faridah Bikobere was charged and continues to be in custody until 21st March 2022. They have by that time already served equivalent time of 11 days in prison for the what they are charged with.
They are both charged on two counts, “Cyber Stalking” with wilfully, maliciously and repeatedly used electronic communication to wit Alternative DigiTalk Online Television which was directed against the President. The second charge was “Offensive Communication” which was directed to disturb the peace and quiet of the President.
When you read charges against these two. You have a hard time taking it seriously. Because, these sorts of things should only happen in fiction. However, this is non-fiction and reality. Where people are charged for these things.
It is sad when a supposed liberator and a freedom fighter does this to his citizens. The man who is supposed to have liberated them and given them fundamental change. Nevertheless, maybe that was all a lie and his just like the men he overthrew. Because, that is how things seems by the day. There is no difference between him or anyone he deposed back-in-the-day. His just like them…
That’s why the truth is piercing his skull. It damages his calm and he needs to address it. Since, he cannot use words or defend his actions. He rather order the authorities and silence the dissidents. Where he uses the authorities and the power of the security organizations to suppress the ones ho dissent.
Not that this is anything new. The same sorts of charges was put on Joseph Kabuleta and Dr. Stella Nyanzi. Therefore, we has this all happen before. Now it is just some new fellows who dares to question the President and his reign.
Let it be perfectly clear. Norman and Faridah is not alone in this. They are just the current ones who is vocal and in the firing line. However, there is more people out there that will disturb the peace of the President. There is more to come… since his reign will not last forever and the truth will set the Republic free.
You can only fake it for so long. The truth is getting exposed and the viciousness of his regime is just proven over and over again. The use of drones, torture and killing civilians for the political conscience cannot last forever. That is the mere reality of it. What Norman and others does is to shed a light on it.
That light the President prefers dim and not turned on. Sort of like his cadres who is blindly follow his every decree. Peace.

“The Luwero triangle ministry has not had impact on livelihood of the people in the area, leaders in Luwero district have said. They said the ministry, which was meant to mitigate the effects of the war in the region, has created no impact so far” (New Vision – Impact of Luwero Triangle ministry isn’t visible, area leaders say’ 10.08.2021).
The Ministry of Luwero Triangle was established in 2001 and by the end of 2021 the Ministry hadn’t done anything. In a region and area, which is said to be the mystical place and origin of the rebellion. A rebellion that is the groundbreaking reason for the existence of the National Resistance Movement or the National Resistance Army (NRM/A). Therefore, the NRM is clearly forgetful about it’s origins.
Here is what is reported to have happened in the Luwero Triangle:
“However, it was the UNLA’s mass killings in the so-called Luwero Triangle, northwest of Kampala, which attracted most international attention. The triangle was formed by the convergence of the roads going north from Kampala to Bomba and Hoima. The Luwero area was chosen by the opposition guerrillas as a centre for operations against the government. Local people had resoundingly rejected Milton Obote ‘ s UPC in 1980 and there was undoubtedly considerable support for the guerrillas. The government’s response was brutal, not discriminating between the guerrillas who were elusive and not often captured and civilians, who were arbitrarily detained, tortured, raped and killed. Just how many died in the Luwero Triangle is ‘not known. The United States State Department estimated in 1984 that between 100,000 and 200,000 people had been killed. Certainly the population in that area declined dramatically under the Obote government although this was partly the result of the UNLA’s policy of forced removal of civilians population. On the rare occasions when it acknowledged that killings had occurred, the government implausibly blamed them on NRA guerrillas in captured army uniform. This was flatly contradicted by much eye-witness evidence. One of the best documented incidents took place at Namugongo, about 10 miles northeast of Kampala, in May 1984. Up to 100 unarmed civilians were killed, including the Reverend Godfrey Bazira, Principal of the Uganda Martyrs’ Theological College, and Sheik Yusuf Mollo, Imam of the nearby Kita mosque. UNLA soldiers entered the theological college, apparently searching for guerrillas. Staff and students were interrogated, fired at and beaten. Four individuals, including the Vice-Principal and another priest, were arrested. The four were held in military custody in Kampala and tortured before being transferred to police custody and released uncharged next day. The Reverend Godfrey Bazira was shot in the leg, beaten and taken away. When his body was discovered later, one eye was found to have been gouged out and there were other marks of torture and gunshot-wounds. Over the next two days many other people in Namugongo village and the surrounding area were beaten, tortured and killed by soldiers. Many women were raped. Anglican, Roman Catholic and Muslim religious ·places were desecrated and soldiers looted and destroyed property” (Amnesty International – Uganda – Human Rights Record, 1986-1989, March 1989).
You would think a war-torn region, which was the base of your rebellion would have gotten more after the liberation. Nevertheless, as the Ministry of the Luwero Triangle was established in 2001 and the war ended in 1986. The war continued in the Northern Uganda for many years to come, but in Luwero it ended with the hostile takeover of Kampala the same year. So, the NRA/M had its time and opportunity to make a difference there. However, it waited with a Minister 15 years and it’s been 36 years in power. After 35 years the people still couldn’t see any changes.
That says something about the NRM and how they haven’t supported the region, which gave it life and possibility to wage war. The NRM haven’t paid back to the ones that suffered the most. Still, the NRM boost on the daily about their magnificent record and how it fundamentally changed things. Alas, that is a lie. The NRM couldn’t even make a difference to the Luwero Triangle. That’s how disgraceful it is.
It only taken care of the NRA historicals and the ones who finalized deals with the rebel government in it’s early days. That’s why certain people are nearly automatically in the cabinet and has a plum-job. This is what is offered them and they will live lavish for life. While the families and the ones who was in war-zone for the whole bush-war hasn’t gotten anything substantial for it. That says something about the reigning party. Peace.
